Killian St. James was the boy I loved. Now he’s the man I love to hate.
To the world, I’m America’s sweetheart. A brand built on fairy tales and love songs that sell millions. But the truth? I’m not sure I believe in happily ever afters . . . At least not for me.
Burned-out and desperate for a break, I return to my hometown, craving quiet and a tiny taste of freedom. But instead of peace, I find a stalker in the shadows, paparazzi on my heels, and a meddling family with their own ideas about my life. Everyone insists I need protection, and having my new bodyguard pose as my fake boyfriend makes total sense . . . Not that they asked me. If that’s not enough, did I mention that Killian is all too happy to volunteer for the job?
This MMA champion is brooding, relentless, and inconveniently perfect at keeping me safe. He’s also unimaginably gorgeous, with a quiet confidence that’s even sexier than the ink tattooed on his golden skin. But as lines blur and sparks fly, I’m left wondering if the boy I once loved could be the man I can trust with my life . . . and my heart.
don't equate me finishing this book in five hours with the book being out of this world, amazing. FRANKLY....it was pretty basic and mediocre LOL. i mean it was a romance book with everything required to keep me reading, but meh, nothing special. and maybe a little too fast-paced for me :P
Rating: 5/5 🌟 Spice: 2.5/5 🌶️ Characters: Lilah and Killian
"My whole life, I've been yours. In this life. In every lifetime. I'll only ever be yours."
I swear I say this with every book, but I think this is my new favorite in the series. I have no idea how Bella does it, but each book is just that much better than the last. My level of obsession just continues to grow to scary levels. Seriously, I have an entire 4 shelf bookshelf dedicated to just Bella.
Anyway, this follows Lilah and Killian. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I'm keeping this vague. Lilah is a popstar and is returning home while her label figures out her next tour as well as security. Lilah knows she needs better security; she just isn't quite sure how risky things have truly become. Killian is an MMA fighter and his family deals in security. These two already have a past together. Because of a few things that happened then Lilah hates Killian and doesn't want anything to do with him. Killian does not hate Lilah, but he still wishes he could avoid her. When the seriousness of the threat comes to light Killian is set on watching her to keep her safe. Being unable to avoid each other they are forced to talk about their past as well as face the fact that neither of them can deny their attraction or feelings. Lilah is such a strong woman. She's determined to keep her life from being turned into a gilded cage and refuses to disappoint her fans by cancelling her shows. And Killian...the way I loved this man! Big, strong, sure, confident, an iron will, supportive, with a dirty mouth. He's seriously perfect and everything. And his nickname is "Killer." I have no idea why, but I loved that so much. I'm just obsessed with him.
I just loved every single thing about this book. And I love this series. You can read it as a standalone, but I would highly suggest reading Bella's entire backlist. All of her books are in the same world and revolve around the same huge families. The experience will be so much richer if you know their friends and family from previous series. It feels like you are part of the world and know these characters for real because you've followed them over years and generations through the other series. I can't wait for the next one!
Kindle Unlimited: Yes Stand-alone: Yes** Author: Bella Matthews Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️ Spiciness Rating: 3/5 🌶 POV: First Person Dual Perspective Main Couple: Lilah and Killian Trope(s): Enemies To Lovers, Forced Proximity, Sports Romance, Fake Dating
I have been reading all of Bella’s words for awhile. I am here for them all. This next generation keeps me in Kroydon Hills, where I never want to leave, it keeps all my past fav’s in reach, and these HEA’s are *chefs kiss*. As always there is a moderate level of angst, there is amazing banter among the group, there is a strong independent FMC, a dirty talking alpha, and sensitive subjects that Bella touches on with absolute class as it pertains to the story. This enemies to lovers (more on Lilah’s part) second chance (Killian) romance did captivate me and I pretty much devoured it in about 24 hours.
‘The energy in the room shifts. It thickens. Like it has its own pulse. Its own heartbeat. “If you were mine, I’d worship every inch of our body every day.” I can feel his hand reach out, like he’s going to touch me, but he doesn’t, and suddenly I’m not sure whether I’m disappointed or relieved. “I’d make damn sure you knew how much I appreciated every…incredible…curve.”
Lilah Ryan is heading home to Kroydon Hills to take refuge from the spotlight. Music has always been her reprieve, but these days she feels as if she has lost pieces of herself.
Killian (Killer) St. James is in training for his upcoming title match. He stayed in Kroydon Hills close to his family, following in his father’s MMA footsteps.
Once upon a time these two were practically inseparable. But, ten years ago a misunderstanding left their friendship in tatters.
Lilah’s career took off and she never looked back, at least not much. Leaving Killian and all their memories in the past- except for the few songs she may have written about him.
But, now she is back home needing extra security. Someone she can trust in her personal space pretty much 24/7.
When the boy she once loved offers to be that man and her resuming touring depends on something giving- she is the one giving in.
Killian sees this as his second chance to find the girl she has buried. And, just maybe listen to what he has to say about that day ten years ago that drove them apart.
i am such a sucker for an MMA fighter in a romance novel. there, i said it. idk there’s just something so hot about him being able to use his own body as a weapon to protect her😮💨
anywayyyyyy…. hehehe this was a fun, short read! i think the ‘second chance’ aspect of this worked really well bc it made perfect sense why they drifted apart after their past was finally revealed to the reader. i adored killian’s attitude towards both his job as a fighter and also being her bodyguard. and lilah was the perfect mix of fiery and endearing.
the twist at the end regarding “with all my love” was also pretty shocking to me! i had some theories as the story went on but it definitely caught me by surprise which was appreciated.
i always have a fun time with Bella Matthews’ books, and ill definitely continue reading this series when i just need something quick & easy to pick up!
Like: I love when the main characters have been in love with one another their whole lives, which is the case with Lilah and Killian. And Killian's devotion and protective attitude towards her is majorly swoon-worthy. The last couple chapters get you in the feels, and it's the best part of the whole book
Dislikes: I really didn't like Lilah's character all that much. She definitely comes off as spoiled and immature at times. And, to me, the writing was a little tacky as well
I went into this thinking I was going to love it a lot more than I did, given the reviews that it has. So I feel like the odd one out :p I didn't hate it, but it wasn't good enough to stick with me now that I've finished it
Bella, I truly don't know how you keep delivering 5 star bangers with MMCs that are so swoon worthy. Just when I think you can't possibly give me an MMC that makes me want to throw my feminism out the door, you give me another man in this universe that turns my millennial knees weak.
Ok I'm not going to lie, I didn't want Killian with Lilah. I low key wanted him with Bellamy and I know a lot of it had to do with the fact that we didn't know much about Lilah. All I knew is she was a Sinclair and a pop princess. But she is so much more than that. I loved her sass, her want for control over her life and the fact that she swore like a sailor. But I also loved how her group of friends was all of our favorite boys of Kroydon Hills, which of course includes Killian but she's not on the best of terms with Killian.
This book brings so much more to light with our favorite group of friends. There was so much information that we got in this book that will be new to you. In fact we learned s few things that made me stop reading and question if that was information we were already aware of, which you are not by the way. So be prepared for Bella to through you a curve ball or two. But don't worry it's a curve ball you will love.
I truly loved Killian and I loved him Lilah. Lilah being high profile, she is home and needs added security so of course our MMA champion, who also is low key obsessed and in love with Lilah, was the ONLY option. Killian was so protective, which is one of my favorite MMC qualities. He literally would do anything to keep Lilah safe, even if that means taking a bullet for her. But don't write Lilah off as being weak because she will surprise you at how strong and brave she truly is. Oh also, did I mention that Killan has quite the mouth on him? Because he does and it will do lovely things to you.
As always, Bella absolutely killed it. I will never not love a Bella Matthews book. Whenever I read one of her books it feels like coming home and receiving a nice warm hug from your family. Her books are such comfort reads to me and this universe that she has created is truly one of my favorites!
You should most definitely read this book if you like: - MMA x Popstar - Body Guard - Fake Dating - Dislike to Love - Touch Her and Die
* I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Bella Matthews for allowing me the absolute pleasure to read Captivating as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.
Give me a childhood best-friends-to-lovers story any day of the week, and I’ll devour it. No surprise here—this one was no exception.
Killian and Lilah are living rent-free in my mind, and they’ve secured a permanent place in my heart.
I’ve loved every single book in this series—and I will never stop talking about them—but there was something uniquely special about this one. I especially adored the new friend group introduced in this story. It’s a testament to how brilliantly Bella Matthews builds fresh dynamics while staying true to the heart of the same family and series.
Now, tell me: who doesn’t love a man completely obsessed with the FMC? Add to that the fact that he’s a professional fighter who secretly becomes her bodyguard just to protect the woman he’s always loved? That’s elite romance content.
When I say the tension in this book was incredible, I mean it—it was absolutely amazing. I loved them as a couple, but what really stood out was how strong they were as individuals too. Lilah, being a pop star, brought such a unique energy to the story and allowed us to connect with her deeply. And Killian, as an MMA fighter, added an exciting and fresh sports romance vibe that I couldn’t get enough of.
I rooted for them with my whole heart, and the ending had me grinning from ear to ear. This book is yet another reminder of why this series deserves every romance reader’s attention. Don’t sleep on it!
Captivating by Bella Mathews Red Lips & White Lies
Hands down another banger by Bella. When I say I straight up devoured this book, I am not kidding. Could not put it down and was so invested in these characters that I definitely ignored all responsibilities for the day.
I adore Bella’s world. ADORE IT. So I was so excited for Lilah and Killians story. I was expecting this book to be good, but Bella outdid herself….. this book was fantastic.
I found myself laughing, kicking my feet giggling, cringing, swooning, jaw on the floor at one point— I am not kidding when I saw this book had it ALL. The tension was so thick at one point, the banter was top tier. Killian made me a dang puddle with the way he talks to Lilah. Ugh… I will NEVER be over them.
This series is next level. I love it so much. Do yourself a favor and add this to your TBR if it’s not there already! I can’t give too much away because I want this review to be spoiler free and there is A LOT that happens in this book so just trust me and please read it 😘😘😘.

Thank you so much Bella for the opportunity to read this as an ARC for my honest opinion and review!
Did I forget all my responsibilities as soon as this ARC hit my kindle? Absolutely, I did 🤣 I have zero self control when it comes to Bella’s books. I swore I’d just read it this weekend but we all know I was lying 🤣 This book was a straight 11/10. Idk how Bella keeps writing my “new favorite” Kroydon Hills book boyfriend, but she freakin does.
This book had all of my favorite Bella things. The group texts, the family chaos, the spice, the banter. I felt this book was more angsty than a few of her other ones but I ate that right up. I could not put this book down. Bella could write a grocery list and I’d want to read it. Perfection, y’all. Perfection 😚 I never expect to get so emotional over fictional characters, but this fictional town has my heart. I was teary eyed by the end 🥹
KILLIAN FREAKIN ST JAMES YALL! That’s it, that’s all. That man 🙌🙌🙌🙌 The men in these books just keep getting hotter and I’m HERE FOR IT 🥵🥵🥵

“The best part of my day is you. Always you. Forever you.”—Killian St. James
3.5🌟
fuming screaming crying throwing up
So... this was another childhood crush turned lovers story, with an unresolved breakup and a messy attempt to make things work in the present. I wanted to love it like I did the previous book. But something about it just didn’t click for me this time.
Captivating is a fast, fiery second-chance romance that throws Lilah and Killian into a bodyguard setup with childhood love, unresolved tension, and a whole lot of emotional wreckage. Killian’s been in love with her forever, and when a threat forces Lilah off tour and back home, he doesn’t hesitate, he’s all in. Their chemistry is instant, their bickering is top-tier, and the tension IS there.
At first, I genuinely didn’t think I’d vibe with this book bcs Lilah’s character arc wasn’t clicking for me, and I was this close to tapping out. But then Killian St. James said, “I’ll be your bodyguard” and proceeded to emotionally ruin me. I despised Lilah at times since she misjudged him, accused him of cheating when he was literally drugged, and he still blamed himself for not trying harder to make her hear him. Killian, I swear to god… aksdjfhresg 😭 But HOLD ON, because that’s not even the wildest twist. The stalker plot? Fully off my radar. And when Lilah took the bullet meant for Killian? My resentment evaporated. Then came the gut punch: she lost the baby they didn’t even know existed. That reveal shattered me. My heart broke for them in a way I didn’t expect. The emotional payoff was brutal, tender, and absolutely worth the spiral.
The side characters, spicy moments, and chaotic sibling/cousin/bestie banter added just the right amount of flavor. I do wish the pacing had been more balanced bcs yet again, it dragged in places, then suddenly sped up, leaving the aftermath feeling rushed. I wanted more time to sit with the fallout. But overall, this one delivered the drama, the angst, and the heart exactly where it mattered.
Likewise, big kudos to Aiden Snow and Desiree Ketchum for bringing this story to life with such emotional depth and spot-on delivery. Every scene felt immersive and real, thanks to their ability to tap into the characters’ vulnerabilities and chemistry. They nailed the tone shifts and emotional beats, making it impossible to hit pause. And of course, Ava Erickson voicing the Philly Press news segments? Still iconic and such a clever addition to the series.
As always, Bella Matthews knows how to surprise her readers. I figured the next book would center on Maverick since he showed up a lot in this one, and the blurb gave us a little tease. But finding out he has a daughter was so not on my radar again. And the epilogue hinting that something’s off with him colored me officially intrigued. So yeah, I’ll be spiraling into Teasing like it owes me another tension and a full-blown emotional detonation. 💥🏃🏻♀️
One thing about a book is that you are sure to see some familiar faces. She does such a good job building up the world that is Kroydon Hills. That being said I wouldn’t consider this a full standalone and your going to want to read the other books in the series minimum (but they are all pretty good so it’s definitely not a chore).
That being said I loved Lilah and Killian’s story, even if there is a bit of a second chance element which isn’t my favorite. I will admit I did cry when the truth came out of what readily happened all those years ago that tore them apart and my heart broke for both of them. They were able to work through it and come out the other side. It did take a bit before we figured out what the cause was, and I was not expecting it. Though Killian did attempt to make things right, he also knew that Lilah needed to do what she had to do for her music career and was biding his time until he was going to lay all the cards on the table.
Lilah held on to the hurt she was carrying for years, keeping Killian at a distance while keeping all the other guys close. Killian kept away until he couldn’t anymore. Once her safety was at risk there was no way he was backing down. He is definitely one of those touch her and die type of men.
The spice was plentiful and not repetitive which is just the way I like it. The side characters are great as always and I can’t wait to see who is next up in the Kroydon Hills gang.
I read an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

I’ve been trying to come up with words to review this book. To tell Bella Matthews how my heart feels now that I’ve found her books. To tell her how upset I am at myself for not finding them sooner. To explain how I consumed and was consumed by Lilah and Killian. How knowing broke me too. How I fell for them.
I’ve been trying and failing to put down on paper all the feelings I have now that I’ve finished Captivating. Everything is… not enough. I have so many of them and the words… feel so little.
So, maybe I won’t. I will just love this book with no expiration date. I will just hold it and smile. I will just go down memory lane when missing them gets too much. And I’ll just get Bella’s entire backlog immediately.
Thank you.
For Captivating. For Lilah. For Killian. For the heartbreak. For the HEA. For this ARC. For this book mail. (Isn’t it perfect?! 🥹)
Killian and Lilah’s story is everything I needed! I have been waiting for Killian’s story since the moment he had a conversation with his sister in her book. As soon as I read it, I fell in love with him and knew I needed his story. He and Lilah’s story did not disappoint! Lilah is such a sassy, spunky FMC that I adore her. She is not afraid to let others know what her feelings are and doesn’t allow anyone to walk over her. Killian is an absolute phenomenal MMC. He may be a big bad MMA fighter but his heart is his largest muscle. He is protective, possessive perfection. And his dirty talk turned me into a melted puddle. Their spice hits hard and will set your kindle on fire! Their conclusion is heart-wrenching and fabulous all at once. I was not ready to be done with their story but that is only because of how much I was enjoying my time with them. I cannot wait to see what happen next in this world!
Bella Matthews never fails to deliver, and this book is no exception. I swear I fall for every one of her male leads! This story follows childhood friends Killian and Lilah, whose once close bond was shattered by a devastating fallout. Now a successful pop star, Lilah returns home for a much needed break from touring and the dangers that recently came with it. With a stalker threat looming, her family and management insist she have a full time bodyguard. The only one she’ll agree to? Killian.
While she trusts him to protect her, old wounds still linger, making the tension between them undeniable. But as they spend more time together, resisting their connection becomes impossible, and buried truths come to light that change everything. If you love tension filled romance, sharp banter, and sizzling chemistry, this book is a must read. You won’t be disappointed!
This book is less than 300 pages long & was fast paced like all the other Bella Matthews books I’ve read, so I flew through it. It’s hot, charming, sweet, fun, & sexy, so I giggled, blushed & kicked my feet, but the last 10% was so tense & dare I say… captivating (pun intended), that I was sitting on the edge of my seat & panicking, & then I ended up sobbing😅 I enjoyed the stalker plot & had absolutely no idea who the stalker could’ve been so the reveal took me completely by surprise!
Lilah is a ballbuster, fiesty, sassy, & sarcastic, yet sweet & gentle too. Killian is protective, broody, quiet & dangerous, but also a complete sweetheart & simp🤭 I loved that despite the fact that Lilah constantly tried to push Killian away, he always stayed & fought for them. The truth about their past & why they broke up was so shocking because I never could’ve anticipated it… but it was also so heartbreaking❤️🩹
The tension, bickering, & them riling each other up 24/7 resulted in so much passion & hot chemistry later on🤭 & once they had discussed their past & found out what really went wrong between them, they had a really healthy & solid relationship, which I admired. I loved them!

Popstar princess and the MMA fighter. Gahhhh this was so good. I gobbled this one up like vanilla ice cream covered in strawberries and chocolate sauce! Sweet and sassy. Just like these two.
Side note- I absolutely LOVE this world and all the characters. Some are family, some are friends, but they are entertaining and adored. The text threads get me every time. They are the best. Ok, now back to the reason you're reading this, lol.
Lilah Ryan and Killian St. James - friends to enemies to lovers. These two put us through the ringer a bit. Killian knew what he wanted and how to get it so when an opportunity arises that will put him right where he needs to be, he didn't hesitate for a second. All in. Just had to convince a pretty little thing that he was the best one for the job and that he did. She pushed back of course, but he reeled her in time and time again. She was stubborn, but devoted to her art and to her family.
The chemistry was spot on as was the bickering and sexy tension. Oooh Killian has quite a mouth on him and she knew exactly how to play him to get him to use it. This sure was a fun one!! Definitely worth the wait.
Living with and dating the ex love of your life... Sounds easy right? Better read it to find out. You won't be disappointed.
I was so excited to be back in Bella’s world and finally get Killian and Lilah’s story. I’ve been looking forward to getting more of both these characters after they were teased in previous books.
Lilah & Killian have history that comes bubbling to the surface when she returns to their hometown while taking a break from her tour due to a threat against her safety. Lilah needs to feel safe & who better to make her feel that way than the man who was the first boy she loved. I really enjoyed seeing the way these two found their way back to each other and I was rooting for them the whole time. I just wish we got a little more depth to their story and at times it felt a bit rushed. The side characters, text banter and spice were all great. Killian had so many swoony moments & Lilah was a snarky FMC which I love.
Overall a solid read & I look forward to the next book in the series!
Bella Matthews just simply does not miss!!!! She sucks you in with every story and you just can’t put it down! There is so much emotion in one book it’s unbelievable!

Bella doesn’t ever miss. I literally devoured this book in less than 24 hours. I couldn’t put it down. I love Bella’s writing because no matter the story, no matter the tropes, no matter the number of pages, you’re guaranteed an emotionally packed book that will suck you in and leave you in a love hangover.
Killian & Lilah were Ah-mazing. The banter between these too was unmatched. Lilah can take it just as well as she can dish it out and she is a ball buster! I laughed so many times while reading this book just from the sly comments made by Lilah.
Killian is so down bad for his girl there is no denying the chemistry between these two. They try so hard to steer clear of each other but fate is fate & love works in mysterious ways.
Lilah & Killian have pushed their way to my favorite couple in this series by Bella. I will recommend this book forever! If you love, love, want second chance/always been you vibes this is the one for you!
Thank you to Bella & her team for letting me be apart of her content team and this crazy journey eh she is putting us through! 💋🩷
Having seen Lilah in the background of the other books, I have been looking forward to getting her story and seeing where it would take her. Her getting a second chance with her teenage crush, after years have taken them on different roads and let them live out their professional dreams, seems perfect.
If you are a Taylor Swift fan, I think you'll really enjoy all the references to her in this book since Lilah is loosely based on her.
Killian and lilah are absolutely amazing, they have my whole heart. This book, from start to finish was brilliant, I love this world and everyone in it. An emotional and beautifully written book in a world that will forever be my favorite.
♾️/⭐ I loved Killian and Lilah's story so so much. They were made for each other right from the start. And those last few chapters were a whirlwind that shattered my soul to it's very core. I did not expect it
Killian St James is the alpha every book girlie dreams about. He is tall, built, and so in love with our girl Lilah that he can't see straight. Ten years of false accusations and missed communication almost tear these two apart. With extra security needed for our pop princess Lilah, Killian is the only man trusted enough for the job despite these two having a falling out. The tension and the mix signals these two throws were delicious, and the piano scene will live rent-free in my mind!
This was a hard book to get into. There was so many characters, and I mean A LOT, that it was hard to keep up with the swirling backstories that connected everyone by family or friend. This is Book 4 and I haven't read any of the other books, this is a standalone, but tbh, it was confusing. The entire cast is in their 20s except for parents, uncles, etc. And the MFC, Lilah Ryan (25), aka Tink aka Princess is a pop singer like Taylor Swift. Except this Pop Princess has attitude and cusses like a sailor.😂😂 She has a stalker, there was a bomb in her dressing room etc, her twin brother Noah is also in her band. They take a break and go home. For safety.
Where they run into MMA fighter Killian 'Killer' St James (26). There's love history for Lilah and Killian. Except now, Lilah is bitter and angry for what happened 10yrs ago. Not saying a 15 and 16yr old can't be in love but the fact that Lilah is still hanging onto the resentment for that length of time is mentally exhausting. Talk about needing to heal, move on, and let it go.🙄🙄 Her Mom hovers and she didn't say to her daughter, hey we need to talk, how are you really doing? But then again, Lilah still acts like a teenager soo... For me, it got old. The sarcastic remarks, the lashing out. B/c Killian is now her bodyguard too. Slight spoiler: I had to wait till Chapter 19 for it to change.🥳🥳 That's a good chunk of story to get through to reach even a calming adult conversation without insults or colorful language to communicate. I'm not against it but when it's every other word used, it seemed juvenile. And for all of Lilah's smarts, how did she not take the bomb threat seriously? She didn't even know she had a stalker. Whaaat?!🤦🏼♀️🤦🏻 That reasoning made no sense. And the stalker waited till the very end to make a move without trying before then?🤷🤷🏼 Again, there was too much going on and the story lost its way trying to build by including everything. I hope that makes sense. I liked Killian.👍🏻👍🏻 He seemed like the only guy who knew what was up and tried to talk, tried to figure things out together. He was invested. Fought for what he wanted. He really wasn't a bad boy. He's a nice and thoughtful guy. Lilah, I didn't really get that feeling from her. Despite what she did. That should have been the feeling before the dramatic. There's mild spice. And a HEA. Maybe it will work for others, it seems like it does. For me, it wasn't cohesive enough. Too much juggling. The book cover is cool. Happy reading.💚💚💚
🥊🎶🍓Thank you to Ms Matthews and Valentine PR for an early book. These are my honest thoughts on the story I read.🍓🎶🥊

I don't have words to describe how much I LOVED this story! I knew Killian would steal my heart and he definitely did! I know it's been said before, but y'all aren't ready for these two!!
Lilah's a life is in danger and she's finally taking a much needed break to lay low for a while at Kroydon Hills. To resume her tour she must increase her security, which means being forced to be with the man that broke her heart years ago, Killian St. James.
Boy oh boy was there tension between these two! The banter and back and forth! Lilah did not let anything slide, she gave everyone a piece of her mind! As she should of course! She's strong, but still such a delicate soul. Even after a decade her pain & love were still very much there, but she handled it all with so much success.
Killian St. James is 🔥🤭 The way he knew how to handle Lilah was hot! He pushed and knew that Lilah was stronger than she seemed. The ultimate MMA fighter, bodyguard boyfriend🥵🫠
This book break my heart more times than I could count. Just when I thought it couldn't break more Bella broke it even more😭😭 But I promise it all works out in the end! The mistrust, the secrets coming out, I was not ready for that type of suspense!
I loved that Killian & Lilah's actions were very on par with how two 18 year olds would act. Did it cost them years of pain? Yes, but it was realistic. I do need a bonus scene of how Scarlett got her revenge though!
I'm a sucker for parallels from 1st gen to 2nd gen and this book had several. Lilah ending up with her brother's best friend 😁😁 Although Killian is a fighter like Cade (his father), he's very much his mother's son. And what happened at the end, I was just as heartbroken as when I read Broken King! Thank you for the parallels Bella!
This series has been so satisfying to read! I have a guess on who the next couple are and extremely excited to see if I'm right!
