Lidyia and boyfriend go camping with friends to get away for a short period of time. Then there is a dead body. Murder? A bullet hole confirmed murder! The murder is uncovered and arrested. Lidyia buys the Iron and Flame restaurant.

I would recommend this series and author to readers of romantic family and friends relationships mystery novels. 2024

Camping can be deadly. Lydia is taking a break from her restaurant when she hears gunshots in the background. At first they thought it was just a poacher but then they discover finds a dead body. Lydia will have her work cut out to find a killer even more when a stranger pops up asking for help. Can the stranger be trusted or is the stranger the killer and they will be the next target? It’s not safe to go camping as it seems in this quick cozy read.

In this ninth book in the Iron and Flame cozy mystery series Lydia is trying to take a quick little vacation. Once she’s the only owner of the restaurant, there won’t be much down time. But what she thought would be a restful time with Jude and another couple turns out to be anything but that. Another enjoyable read. On to the next one in this series.

I really enjoy books from this series and this one is no exception. The story is well written and the mystery has a surprising twist. The characters have become like old friends with well defined personalities. A quick and engrossing read.

A murder case that seemed impossible to solve happening in the middle of the woods? Probably perfect spot to dump a body, right? It really had Lydia and Jude puzzled, but when those two work on a mystery, the truth always gets discovered.

camping gone wrong

What should have been a nice getaway turned deadly. Lots of twists and turns before the truth was revealed. Enjoyable story. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Another great story with a fun trip planned but then there is a slight change. And then there is also the major change with the restaurant! Can't wait to read more about that!!

not sure about how the
ending was. Jumping from still in the woods to a lawyers office was a little abrupt.
