Letting go is like a death. Sierra never thought she would be caught in a love triangle between her writing partner, Alex, and the love of her life, Shane—especially because her ex-fiancé is now a ghost. Tormented with both guilt for moving on with someone else and a desire to be free of the past, she's pulled between both men. Shane struggles with accepting his death and seeing the woman he loves with someone else. Alex is determined to free Sierra from limbo and change their relationship from casual to serious, but the bond she has with Shane transcends death. One of the three needs to let go.
Only the good die young. When Shane Weston is murdered before prosecuting a key member of the Mexican drug cartel, he can't accept the idea that all of the plans he had had for his life will never come true. More than that, he can't let go of the love he has for his fiancée.
Love never dies. Sierra Daniels is crushed after Shane's death. Head writer on a successful television series, she can't get back into the groove of life. All enthusiasm for work is gone. Ready to quit everything, she travels to her cabin in Lake Tahoe in hopes of escaping everyone's expectations and disappearing for awhile.
The lines between right and wrong often blur. Alexander Blaine has risked his future on a career change from DEA agent to lead consultant and writer on hit television series. Sierra's grief has shadowed everyone around her, including him, and jeopardizes both of their careers. Unwilling to accept defeat, he follows her to Lake Tahoe determined to break through the barrier enveloping her and make her see that life is still worth living.
Dakota Skye is an author fascinated by the paranormal. After having several personal "unexplained experiences" in her life, she started exploring the idea of the "other side." Ghosts, angels, Spirit Guides...what are they and do we interact with them more than we know? In her stories, she incorporates that fascination with fantasy while always focusing on the love.
She currently has a paranormal erotic romance, Blurred Lines, available with another, Impact Zone, releasing on August 1, 2014. She also has two stories--to be named later due to secrecy--releasing in two different collections beginning October 2014. Dakota Skye is also one of the four infamous Mile High Muses.

I'm not usually drawn to paranormal romances involving ghosts so this book was a pleasant surprise. In places the raw emotions of the heroine made me want to comfort her. The story was gripping, sexy - a rollercoaster ride of emotions. The sex scenes were well done and hot! hot! hot! I read this book for the Sizzling Hot Romance Book club and it was a choice that will lead me to read more books by Dakota Skye. Edit
"Blurred Lines" by Dakota Skye is a beautiful paranormal romantic/ erotic story. Recently widowed writer Sierra is having visitations from Shane, her late husband, while being pushed hard by her sexy fellow writer Alex to move and 're-join' the world of the living with her heart and her body. Guilt, grief and fear make it difficult for Sierra to do so.
I am impressed with the sensitivity this rather sexy story shows about grief and moving on. Dealing with the loss of a loved one is hard and and the author has brought that to the pages beautifully without bringing down the mood. The hot sex scenes were even better because of the emotional complications. There is more to Shane's death and the story than you might expect, which makes the story more than just an emotional working rite of passage, but an interesting and rich read. Easy to follow and well paced this is a strong and enjoyable novel that will entertain your mind, heart and your basic instincts.
Sierra still mourns her fiance Shane a year and a half after his violent murder. She flees to their Lake Tahoe cabin trying to pull herself together and figure out what she wants for her life. Initially she's annoyed when her 'nemesis', television writing partner Alex, follows her and gets stranded by winter weather. But there's no denying their chemistry. The fact that Shane's haunting her complicates the situation.
The characters are very appealing and the sex is hot. But the emotional element of Sierra and Shane struggling to say goodbye is heartbreaking. I loved this book.
This book had me crying! I didn't expect such a well-written, emotionally intense story in a paranormal erotic romance, but WOW. Maybe it's because I didn't know what to expect that it affected me so strongly, I don't know. All I know is that if you (A) love ghosts (B) love edgy stories ( C ) love erotic romance than you will drool over this book. I stumbled upon it on Twitter of all places, took a chance, and am happy that I did.
