There isn't a lot I can say without giving away a ton of spoilers. But let's give it a try.

When I read Melt into you, I was praying Roni would come back and give us all some more from these three. In My opinion, Melt into You is Roni's #1 book, I mean, come on, Jace, need I say more?

Jace, Andre and Evan are settling into their busy lives, too busy in fact and the guys notice how run down and exhausted Ev is.
Jace takes it upon himself to setup the prefect week long getaway at Grant's kinky cabin in the mountains, a surprise that is sure to relax and satisfy the three of them.
Turns out there is more than one surprise to be had during the week.
And that's not the only surprise to come from these three.

There are secrets, insecurities, and a lot of love between these short pages.
With an ex fiancé making an appearance, the future is questioned. The secrets are surfacing and as a Family, these three are determined to work through anything life throws their way.

Role playing, fake kidnapping, forced orgasms on a plane, and a hell of a lot of sexy Jace and Andre action makes for one hot read.

The ending? WOAH!
While I seen it coming, I was shocked to say the least that Roni went there.
A Perfect ending for such an amazing story.

Now we just need some more from Foster *hint hint Roni* ;)

She heard our cry and responded!!! As soon as I set down Melt Into You, second book of the Loving on the Edge series, I was satisfied as all get out with the happily ever after for the threesome- Jace, Andre and Evan, but at the same time, I greedily wanted to know 'okay they're together, but what now? They're a threesome. How is it going to work?" Many asked the same question including the author herself so voila! We have our follow-up in this novella-length piece that explores those questions and gives some tender, passionate and melt me with happiness answers.

"Best. Kidnappers. Ever." She looped her arms around his neck. "I might have to develop Stockholm Syndrome and stay with you forever."
Jace peered down at her, that soft expression moving over his face again, and he kissed her forehead. "Forever's exactly the idea, Ev."
Something in her loosened further and she curled against his chest, content. "Forever could work."
Loc 60% Evan to Jace, Forever Starts Tonight

The novella does assume that the reader is familiar with the characters and the Loving on the Edge world gleaned from previous books, but I suppose in a pinch it can be read out of order if you're just looking for something fast and hot. My recommendation, as it generally is, lends toward read in order of the series or at least read book two before diving in (truthfully, I'm being a hypocrite here b/c I totally have been reading this series out of order with the exception of this one- I read it behind book two that intro'd these characters).

The story opens with our threesome about a year after the end of Melt into You when they came to an understanding and commitment to come together. The love and longing are still there as well as their kinky passions, but other considerations are starting to rise. Evan and Andre bump into Andre's ex-fiance at a wedding and it pushes Andre to consider with bittersweetness what they have all given up- normal family events like a wedding, white picket fence, parenthood, and societal approval- to be together. Evan gets her wake up call when she suspects that she might be pregnant. It brings out all her old fears that when things get real, she'll be left behind picking up the pieces.

Jace senses that things are not so solid in his relationship when he listens and observes both his lovers. He needs to do something fast if he wants the cracks he sees not to widen. If things are tough with a couple, it is even more complicated with a threesome. He uses his natural quick thinking and spontaneity to make arrangements to take his man and woman away and prove to them that their love is strong and they all belong together. In the end, the pleasure, the passion and just the time spent alone will work its magic.

"They really could be anything they wanted to be with each other. There was no need for walls when someone wholly accepted you. And if he had any doubts before, he didn't now...The three of them were each other's safe place. Three strange, quirky people who somehow found a relationship that fit just right." Loc 79% Andre, Forever Starts Tonight

This novella is so impactive. I love how so much is squeezed into such a small space. The character development and relationship are key. The narration gave all three perspectives and I was immersed in their characters while they engaged with each other. The introspection is handled with balance so that I had their thoughts without feeling stuck in their heads. They all had their vulnerabilities even big bad Dom, Jace. The story plays to their vulnerabilities, but also their strengths. It's tender and sweet, but also flips the switch into erotic heat too. The reader is reminded just how fun and raw their kinky passion can get particularly when they have Grant's private cabin in the mountains as their playground.

Love these three together and that epilogue left me with the hugest grin. The novella totally covered all my needs in a follow-up and I really appreciated learning Jace's witchy ex's fate after what she pulled against him and his lovers. I'm so appreciative for this peek-in that settled me about where things are going for these guys.

For those that need to know, it is on the lighter end of BDSM D/s stuff, but it does have some scene-ing that include kidnap and non-consent fantasies, again, minor, but there.

Wrapping it up, this is totally for fans of the series and the series is for those that enjoy scorching hot passion that also includes strong character and relationship development.

My thanks to Penguin Group and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely LOVE revisiting couples that we've already fallen in love with in a series. FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT brings us back to Jace, Evan and Andre and shows that a permanent triad has its own special set of complications. And that it will take commitment and effort to make things work. Their road to a HEA is harder than most couples because of juggling the inner dynamics of their triad, as well as what others perceive of their relationship.

Feelings can be a touchy thing. This book goes to show you that. And maybe what you always assumed you didn't want or need becomes a priority. As you may be aware, I'm a fan of the series, and have come to care for these characters! It was refreshing to see them be strong through the struggles of life. There are many important issues at hand in this book, and even when facing uncertainty they pulled through and didn't stray. If there's something I hate is unnecessary drama and lack of communication. Ms. Loren managed to share this story without falling into the easy traps where this could've happened.

I feel that after FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT there is a true happily ever after in their future.

These three are still one of my faves. Well, I do love them all. I'm somewhat of a Roni Loren addict. But stories like this is exactly why. They go past being just a hot way to spend the time. They move you, connect with you. And she always does right by her characters. Another job very well done with this one!

So what happens after the story ends and the characters get their supposed happily ever after? Do they ride off into the sunset and live idyllic lives? Do they face adversity and problems like any normal couple would, meet them head on and over come them? As a triad, Jace, Evan and Andre are bound to face more complications, misunderstandings and problems than your average couple would. So it would make sense for us to see what happens after the book ends but their story continues.

Although thing s seem perfect, idyllic even for the triad, Jace can’t help but notice that something is very wrong. It seems that Evan is keeping a secret and Andre has secrets of his own. We all know how secrets work. They have a way of coming out at the most inopportune time and destroying everything if you’re not careful.

I am one of those readers that craves the confirmation that the characters I invested so much time and so many reading hours to live happily ever after. Loren did not disappoint. Although they have their issues and problems, Andre, Evan and Jace face them and deal with them together, as a family. That is what makes them so special.

If you are a fan of Melt into You, you must read Forever Starts Tonight. I wouldn’t be me if I did not look for or point out any flaws in the story. As far as I can tell, my only problem with Forever Starts Tonight was that it was over. I can’t wait to read more by this author. If this book is any indication, she’s got a new fan in me.

I almost never watch a movie sequel. The followups are never as good as the first, because the characters have already told their story and resolved their conflicts. What usually results is a thinly veiled, flimsy excuse for the characters in the film to reunite, solve new conflicts and try to bring closure.

Again.

Book sequels are a different animal to me. Less a reason for characters to reunite, more of continuation of a story that was started. The next chapter, if you will, especially if there is great chemistry and opportunity for more story at the end of the previous novel. As is the case with Forever Starts Tonight, in which we revisit the relationship of Andre, Jace and Evan, I feel more like sitting down with good friends for coffee and catching up on what's been going on in their lives since we last chatted.

Forever Starts Tonight is a novella length return to the M/M/F committed relationship that we first read about in Melt Into You. Evan is a successful photographer and happy in her relationship with her two main men, but she's feeling the slightest longing for something more. Andre is feeling the same, especially when confronted by an ex girlfriend, the one he thought he could have married and had a family with, had he not chosen to explore his feelings and eventually end up in a poly-amorous relationship. Neither are interested in the vanilla family set up- husband and wife, 2.5 kids, white picket fence... but some part of each of them is looking toward the future and not finding any answers.

Sensing that his partners need a getaway-- and a long serious discussion about this word FUTURE, Jace sweeps his partners away for an unforgettable ski weekend... foiled only by Evan's little surprise, one she's not sure if she's happy or upset about, but one that will change the direction of their relationship forever. What happens to a couple of three when the words marriage and family and FOREVER start getting tossed around?

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed not only the steamy, heavy on the enjoyment, sexy scenes but also the storyline. The inner fight, specifically with Andre but also Evan as the memories of giving up a child for adoption was palpable. I wanted them all to win and wasn't sure how things would work out, but the ending was, as usual, satisfying.

I've always enjoyed how much Roni's characters seem real.. real people with real problems, real issues, real conflicts that I can relate to. I've also loved how her characters are so into each other... there is love and respect, especially within the roles of BDSM and how everyone plays their parts, but there's also passion and pure lust, an almost uncontrollable desire between committed partners.

To me, that's what romance is, and Roni weaves and crafts these experiences through words so well, it's almost like these people actually exist.

Roni is one of my favorite authors and reading one of her novels is always a pleasurable experience!

Happy Release Day!

Note: I received a copy of Forever Starts Tonight via Netgalley and from Penguin in exchange for an unbiased review.

Forever Starts Tonight is Roni Loren’s newest release, out today (September 16, 2014) a novella that is part of the Loving on the Edge series.

The story is a continuation of Melt Into You and focuses on the relationship between Evan, Jace and Andre a year after their whirlwind romance. The novella is a look into what a committed ménage relationship could transform into by the way of several twists and turns. If you aren’t familiar with the series or haven’t had the opportunity to read Melt Into You, might I suggest you do so – it will help with the references to past characters, locations and history.

Forever Starts Tonight may be short on pages but is a fully composed storyline a la Roni Loren style i.e. a great premise that is hot, hot, hot!

We find Evan, Jace and Andre in the throes of their relationship. They lead busy singular lives and even busier personal lives when they come together and engage in some kink. The threesome is committed to one another but they each question their different wants and needs and how such an unconventional relationship could possibly fulfill those desires like marriage, family – you get the picture.

The remainder of the novel tries to address those specific needs and how this threesome can each attain their little piece of heaven while still retaining the love and passion that defines their unique relationship.

The chemistry between Jace, Evan and Andre is authentic. They have such deep love which is heightened by their sexual appetites for each other. Forever Starts Tonight does have its fair share of the erotic but I enjoyed the exploration of the emotional quotient between these three particularly, during those pivotal moments each character faces their past and hopes for the future both individually and collectively. Each character's point of view is organic, helping the story to progress until you're hit with a whammy HEA that is definitely unconventional and will beg its own book. I find it refreshing that the emotional tension spills from the pages in equal measure with the sexual intensity these three bring to the pages.

As for the erotic nature of this book, the heat sears between Jace, Evan and Andre but the the sexual passion that leaps off the pages, specifically between Jace and Andre is crazy, crazy, crazy HOT. Their magnetism is out of bounds and so well executed, it nearly trumps the menage scenes. I said NEARLY!

Loren certainly knows how to write erotica with style and a level of elegance not often seen in other books in this genre. Slowly, I am growing very tired of reading books labeled erotica but are nothing more than some overhyped sex scenes minimally peppered with storytelling. That doesn't meet my idea of what good books or good writing is all about -- by any means and definitely erodes my taste for erotica in general.

However, anything Loren puts out is on my must read list because she definitely corners the market with good writing and story telling coupled with some very vivid sexual fantasies played out on the pages of her books. That's what brings me back to Loren's books every time.

My rating: a must read! Roni Loren writes about love in all its many splendor and is all encompassing.

There was a serious problem with Forever Starts Tonight. It ended and that was just not ok. I seriously could read about this trio all day because they are some of the most fantastic characters. Now that we got their novella, things are pretty excited and really now I'm excited to see how some of the happenings of this book affect them and what is going to happen next!

Since I finished Melt Into You, I was hoping for more from this fab trio, and I was so happy that Roni Loren was able to dive back into their story and share more of it with us. Jace, Andre, and Evan are just the same and I loved seeing how their relationship had grown since the last time we saw them and how they grew throughout this one as well.

Crimony guys, you better bring some water since Forever Starts Tonight is beyond scorching. Like woh. There are some scenes between the three of them and also a holy smokes batman scene between Jace and Andre. Let's just say the pages were steaming up, and it wasn't just from the shower in the book.

Is it January yet? Because I really need Nothing Between Us and more Roni Loren awesome. Also, I'd like some Jace cameos with a side of one liners.

Like a lot of readers, I fell in love with Evan(geline), Jace, and Andre in an earlier novel, but you don't have to read that one to enjoy this novella of their continued triad romance. However, the physical descriptions of the characters is scanty, so I'm deducting a half-star because while *I* can picture Jace, Andre, and Evan perfectly, I'm not sure a new reader would be able to.

I received a free ARC of this novella from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the story of what happens next - when Andre is confronted by his previous fiancee, and his dreams of becoming a father, when Evan is exhausted from overwork, and Jace takes both of them in hand. Smokin hot sex, including some M/M action with voyeurism, and all in all, a tender love story about taking the Happily Ever After to the next level. Note: the BDSM here is more about power play and is more implied, rather than overt, if that's what you're looking for.

While it was nice to see how this triad’s relationship was still going strong, the storyline was lacking. Lots of sex scenes but very little story (and the plots that did happen were predictable). One element I did really enjoy was how characters from previous books were woven in. Overall, I’d say 3.5 ⭐️ rounded down.

Wowsers... now thats what I'm talking about... Evan is one lucky woman! I absolutely loved Melt into you when I read it way back when and have always loved the bits you learn from other books about Evan, Jace and Andre. This novella is amazing and just what I needed to know that their lives had continued to work out after their happily ever after in their own book.
Dark, steamy and thoroughly addictive!

4 Super Sexy Stars!!!

Source: eARC for Honest Review Courtesy of Penguin Intemix

Let's start with, Roni Loren knows how to write erotica.

In Melt Into You we were left with a HEA but with some questions of the security of their relationship since triads are not the society norms.  Here we get to delve deeper into the beauty that is Jace, Evan & Andre.  It may not be conventional but it so works for these three.

Even between the three of them they don't have the security that they need for the long haul of their relationship.  With this uncertainty Jace organizes a trip so they can reconnect and cement their relationship for the future.  This little trip had many emotional ups and downs for this triad but it also had loads of steam coming from the pages.  This was the push they needed to have their forever HEA and what a push it was.  I absolutely love this series.  If you are looking for strong men, BDSM tendencies and loads of steam then this series is the ticket.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

Forever Starts tonight is a novella in Roni Loren's Loving on the Edge series, and features Jace, Andre and Evan from Melt Into You. While this book could be read as a standalone, I would definitely recommend reading Melt Into You before starting this one to get the full experience. I really love Roni Loren's books, and she always packs so much heat and steam into her stories. I was really excited when I first heard about this book, because like the rest of the fans I just wanted more of these three. It was nice to get more of them and see how they were doing together. I will admit that this novella felt like a really long epilogue to me though.

I really enjoyed seeing how Jace, Andre, and Evan were dealing with issues that hadn't really occurred to them before. Their relationship was anything but normal, and in this story I think that really started to sink in. They began to think about marriage and kids, and how that would work for them. I liked that this book really seemed to strengthen the feelings that they already had between them and set them up for an even stronger HEA. I really thought that it was great to see them finally be completely open and honest with one another, and I felt like they were able to lay all their cards on the table. I enjoyed seeing how they worked all together, and separately as well. Their relationship felt real to me, and I didn't sense anyone being left out or having hurt feelings. These three individuals really work best as a triad, and I think that was clear all through this story.

I did feel like there wasn't a lot going on with this one though, other than some really steamy sex. I will be the first to admit that I enjoy those parts of the book the best, but for me that was the majority of this story and it just seemed to start to drag because of that. I felt like there were a few things that were introduced into this story that ended up being pretty much non-events, and I was wanting to see how those played out. Andre's ex clearly wasn't taking no for an answer, and I really wanted to get some closure on that one and see her confronted with Jace and Evan face to face. It would have been nice to see her witness the connection between the three of them, and I honestly wanted them to kind of show her what they were all about. I really think that you can't go wrong with anything that Roni Loren writes, and I always enjoy her writing style and the majorly hot books that she writes. But for me, this one just wasn't quite as good as I have come to expect from her. I honestly can't wait for the next book in the series. I am dying to get my hands on Colby's book Nothing Between Us.

5 stars and recommendation as either a standalone or as the novella it’s meant to be, a follow-up to Roni’s Melt into You.

Forever Starts tonight is a novella of an unconventional relationships and a love story. This was the first time I've read any of Roni Loren's work and she has definitely made a fan of me.

I hadn't read the first book of this short series before I embarked on Forever Starts Tonight. But, this is one of those rare cases where there is just enough back story included in the novella that you have an understanding of the characters and their relationships to each other. This is truly a story that you can enjoy reading as purely sultry fun read. As this is the first exposure I've had to Roni’s writing, my verdict is that her writing is simply intoxicating. I fell for the characters even knowing so little about them and that is one of the marks of a great writer.

So why is this an unconventional love story? Well, because its a love story about 3 people living together, in a emotional and sexual relationships with each other all equally committed to each other. It is the story of a relationship of three. It’s not conventional to society standards and the love and devotion between the three is abundant. The three main characters , Evangeline (Evan), Jace and Andre have various histories with each other and there are different levels of comfort and love and friendship between the three. And as with any relationship, these elements are in flux and sometimes tested. There is history between Jace and Evan that play into this story-line a bit and adds an element of possible contention, but the three individuals really have a bond that is lovely.

The heat factor of this story is off the charts. It includes F/M/M, M/M and some light BD/sm. Roni is a spectacular writer in this erotic genre. But the clincher here is that you feel the devotion and love between this three making the intimate scene exactly what they should be, a display of this love and the bonding that sex often creates.

This novella explores what the 3 have forged. Evan is a photographer, Jace sells sex toys and Andre is a police officer with the Dallas PD. Do they face obstacles, of course, but not so much with each other, there’s no jealousy about whatever the individuals may feel for one or the other. That’s what I loved about the story. The angst was more on how these 3 navigate a world where a “legal” marriage is between 2 people. But why even contemplate that? Well, that's what this is about. Its about the why and you’ll have to read to find out what it is.

After their hard-won journey to HEA there was always the sense that there was more to see with Jace, Evan, and Andre's relationship. One always wonders if a triad relationship would really work and with this story readers see the reality. Big life events are discussed, feelings of jealousy dealt with, and the rearranging of dreams to fit their new reality are all handled in a mature way that brings this trio even closer together.

Each member of this triad is strong-willed with personalities that are unique with each bringing something special to their relationship. Jace is a caring but carefree man who enjoys dominating his mates. He knows just how far to push to get to the truth and won't tolerate lies between them. He's the one who notices when his mates are stressed and finds sexy ways to relax them. Evan is hard working out of a fear of being poor once again and is one lucky girl to be the center of both men's attentions. Her fears of pregnancy, and the harsh realities of it, drive this story and bring out surprisingly sentimental sides to each of them. Andre is supportive and soft-spoken and though he's a switch he never wants his sub side to be seen as a weakness. He's a strong and steady presence and sweet with his caretaking nature and the perfect companion to the bold and larger than life Jace.

On a weekend away from all the fears piling up on them they discover more than they ever knew about each other. Their pasts ultimately come back, not to haunt them, but to make their commitment even stronger. Along with these emotional moments of enlightenment comes numerous steamy encounters of varying degrees of intensity and ranging from a ménage to m/m couplings. These scenes are nicely balanced with the emotional moments to make this an engaging and compelling addition to the Loving On the Edge series. Ms. Loren once again proves her talent and the delightful decadence this series offers and I highly recommend this series to fans of erotica.

I would suggest to readers that they dive into the original book, Melt Into You, before reading this story.

But if you just have to experience Loren, which I highly recommend then you might as well get down and dirty with these three. Yes, it’s a ménage. Yes, they are all in a relationship together. Yes, I love every sinfully, comfort-zone pushing part of it.

My challenge is, personal opinion of course, this book felt like it was missing something. This could be me. I’ve read Loren’s other books, every last one, and there’s always a bigger picture. Sometimes suspense or at least some deep-seated issues, and with this story most of the conflict comes from internal problems vs. external. Sure Loren gave me a few twists, including ‘surprise’ Andre has an ex-fiancée.

The characters are still as sexy as they were and this time there’s some more intimacy between Jace and Andre that we didn’t get in their original book. Also, I find out that whenever I read one of Loren’s book I’m always researching toys on the internet to find out if they are real and well, color-me-impressed. This author does her research and I admire her for it.

Some other key points, Loren deftly jumps between all three characters POV’s without losing me or giving me a bad case of the head hops. She creates an idyllic vacation getaway in the snowy slopes of Colorado, and reminds of how spicy and downright hot erotic romance can be.

So I’ll give this 3 stars for a good, quick, steamy read that satisfies my need for confirmed HEA’s and plenty of action… bedroom action!

Roni Loren’s FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT: To Boldly Go…..

Teasers: A Triad of lovers in a committed relationship with BDSM take a little vacation to a luxe mountain lodge and their insecurities are challenged.

E-Galley provided by publisher for review. No remuneration was exchanged and all opinions presented herein are my own unless otherwise noted.

The trope that is used within the pages of this book is not revealed above or in the first few pages so, to be fair, I won’t spoil it. I don’t like this particular trope very much but Roni Loren uses it to explore the emotional aspects of unplanned situations in unconventional relationships, in this case collared-polyandry. And the action between the three characters is very hot and loving.

A lot of different sides of a BDSM triad are explored:
What are the rules for exposing a more submissive side of one of the Doms in front of their sub?
How do two men share a sub?
How to make it all official?
It must be the hardest kind of relationship, and insecurity must be something each partner constantly has to work on. I think it would take a lot of commitment. In this story, truly being secure is something each character has to believe for the relationship to move forward.

Without being pedantic Roni brings us on a weekend trip where the menage part AND the D/s part are developed in a relationship of interesting individuals.

This is a short entry into a longer series about BDSM. I’ve liked the other books by Roni I have read. She knows her topic and writes about it well. I have read a few books about Polyandrous Triads and I think it is a very interesting topic and she has given us an extra glimpse into the lifestyle.
Recommend!
