Olivia was hesitant to revive her feelings for Luke because she believed he had purposely given her the wrong number. But when she had found out that wasn’t the case, she had started to develop feelings towards him.
When a colleague who was interested in Olivia decided to take pictures of her intimate time with Luke and showed the pictures to the boss. She decided to quit her job and break up with him to save his reputation. Luke was hurt and also determined to get her back.

Dr Luke and Olivia (Liv) have, what they believed, was just one night of fun. It became so much more, and with neither seeing each other for seven years after that, seeing each other again, in the unlikely of places, reignites that moment in time. However, with their being a result of that night, Liv finds herself fighting with being Mum and protecting their child first, but also aware that Luke has a right to know.
I have always loved everything Ava has written, and I do believe that this one, to date, is my favourite. There is alot to love about our beloved Dr Grump, and as the book starts to unravel those layers, we see hurt, and we see that he too was affected greatly by that one night, and was left wondering and wanting more. Of course there is challenges with Dr Luke being the superior in this working dynamic with Liv as his medical assistant, but you simply cannot deny the overwhelming attraction, desire and need to establish a relationship with Liv, and first and foremost their daughter. Read in a day because I loved it so much. Thank you Ava, this was beautiful and I enjoyed it so much.

Dr. Luke Jennings is a top neurosurgeon at a major NYC hospital. He is also the CEO of a company that distributes specialized medical equipment that he patented. He is 45 years old and a billionaire.
He meets a beautiful young woman in a bar, and they hook up. He gives her his number, but he makes a mistake by a digit.
Olivia Davis is the young woman. She realizes that she is pregnant, but she can't reach him.
The book starts 7 years later. Olivia has been hired as a medical assistant. Of course, she was hired to work for Luke. They meet, but she acts remotely because she wants to hide their daughter. Luke eventually discovers that he has a daughter.
The doctor/assistant relationship was a problem from the beginning. Olivia is very competent, and Luke is a renowned surgeon, but their love affair, under that scenario, is meant for disaster.
The couple sneak around in the file room, having sex and date in public. Both love their daughter, but Olivia could have very easily transferred to another doctor to eliminate the conflict of interest.
The book is interesting and a good read.

Luke thinks Liv just up and left..... and Liv is upset because the phone number Luke gave her... is to a restaurant...........
well we know she ends up having baby ,,, So, lets jump up to say .. 7 years :) Liv has been hired on to be a drs assistant ... low an behold the same hospital and unbeknownst is assigned her delicious 1 night stand who flubbed and gave wrong number..... together they try to resist the memories and daily pull of working at the same hospital.... Move over Greys Anatomy and ER combined because there is a new HOT neurosurgeon in town, and he is going to fill you up with EXCITMENT. When Olivia (Liv) and Luke meet at a bar their one night of HOT and STEAMY sex leads to some mixed emotions. Luke thinks Liv just up and left and Liv is upset because the phone number Luke gave her was to a restaurant. So, move up 7 years later and Liv is working at the same hospital Luke is but also as his assistant. So, in order to see if they can get back together again and if Liv will tell Luke he has a 6-year-old daughter with her is the question you want to read to find out. Another great book from Ava! A delicious one night stand, a misunderstanding with a number and a life long reminder of what happened. This book kicks off with plenty of steam and makes you want to find more. Luke and Olivia are destined to meet again but this time he is her boss and not in a position to make a move on her even when he wants to.
When they try to resist the pull between them, they ramp up the tension until it snaps and then phew! Feel the heat between them coming off the pages. A great storyline with all the feels in it. There are some laugh out loud pages and others that will want you to weep.
A definite recommend.

OMG Mind blowing to a one night stand of passion. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was captivating of romance. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. Olivia and Luke chemistry and physical attraction was sensation of passion and rekindle old feelings again. As they gave into their urge to fight the temptation any longer as they had fun and laughter and romance. There were many secrets that she was hiding from him and this one was very big. Finding love again is going to be hard with a child on the way.

One night stand, happily ever after.
You start out feeling so bad for Olivia being left with a life-changing surprise after her 1 night stand, although it's obvious from the memories that it was a mutually pleasurable affair and no regrets.
Fate intervenes and you quickly realize that said 1-night was a product of miscommunication where Luke & Olivia could have had more all along. At least they can't keep their hands off each other now.
The way they look after and support each other, Luke with liv's art, and Liv to the point of losing her job, are true relationship goals. Their HEA was hard fought and well earned. Super cute couple!

Get ready to smile and laugh over the antics of Dr Grump, aka Luke. When he has a new medical assistant thrust upon him against his wishes he isn’t prepared for the shock of his life! When Olivia is presented to the Dr that she will be working with she’s not prepared for her past to come back and bite her in the behind but Oh Boy does it ever!!! Fighting bureaucracy, overwhelming chemistry and even jealousy has twists and turns in this story that you will not expect. A great read that will keep you entertained until the last page.

I found this book very addictive and a very enjoyable read. Thanks! I thought the mixture of developing romance against personal history worked well to give a great storyline. I loved the heated interplay between Luke and Liv! The ache to have a relationship with his newly discovered child and the pure love he has for her that we see from Luke is also heartwarming... awww!
I think this book should appeal to a wide audience - Ava Nichols has done it again, drawing us into a story which you don't ever want to end, but at the same time want to find the happy ever after!.

Wow, What a great book, It won’t take you long to get drawn into the drama between Olivia and Luke. From their amazing one night stand to the time they are reunited seven years later. This was a great second chance, secret baby romance.
Luke and Olivia have a steamy one night stand, though it wasn't intended to be a one and done. A wrong number causes all kinds of issues.
Fast 7 years, and they meet again as boss/employee. The connection is still there, but how will things work out when he learns he's a father? Will they make it as a family?
Great read. Lots of emotions, loads of steam, and tons of heart. Highly recommend.

Another brilliant read from this author, the characters are always well created and the story pulls you in so you don't want to put it down.
There's small bits of drama, some steamy love scenes, lots of romance and a cute 6 year old who keeps them both on their toes, I definitely laughed out loud at some parts!

OMG I loved that story! Luke and Olivia love story started 7 years ago on a one night stand and faith reunited them.And yes a baby was made that night. I love the way Luke is still in love with her and when he found out about Riley , wow I was in love with him ! I might have shared a tear …awwww I highly recommend this book if you want to have your heart melt for Luke!.

This book is so good and will definitely have you enthralled from the beginning until the end and the storyline flows throughout the book. When a one stand ends up with more then Olivia bargains for now 6 years later she's face to face with her daughters Das. Secret Baby For Dr. Grump by Ava Nichols-- awesome story, coincidence happened when Olivia8 gets a job at a hospital, where her one night stand works. This story is full of drama, attraction, and lots of chemistry. Luke is confident in what he wants, and whom, yet there are outsiders who are trying to ruin what they have. Absolutely beautiful family/ story.

Great story!

The chemistry between these two is strong when they first meet. When they end up working together years later, they can’t easily act on those feelings, but the connection is still there. Add her daughter and the story continues to get more interesting. This story is well written and fun to read. I recommend this book.
