I think how you like this book depends on what you are looking for. I did not agree with everything this author had to say but, the book made me think and sometimes it made me roll my eyes. The author makes a lot of speculation but, he owns up to it. He also has a lot of footnotes with references that make me want to study. So for me this book was good because it challenged me and inspired me to research things for myself. I would categorize this book as a little conspiracy theory-ish, but I find that aspect entertaining and interesting.
There is some repetition and disorganization because the book was taken from blog posts and rather hastily compiled into a book.

In recent months, I have become exposed to and as a result have become quite interested in theological research and writings regarding the events described as taking place in Genesis 6:4. Those not familiar with this passage arguably are not aware of what possibly took place because at first glance it seems to be a rather benign passage of Scripture. Furthermore, some scholars have suggested the "sons of God" were merely humans who took for themselves wives and the nephilim referred to in that verse were nothing more than some people who were famous during that period of history or who might have become a bit taller than the rest of humanity. Speak and author Rob Skiba, in his fascinating book Archon Invasion: The Rise, Fall and Return of the Nephilim provides the reader with valuable insight and interesting research into this subject matter, noting the reality of something more taking place than humans marrying and taking human wives for a mate. Additionally, Skiba explores whether this event took place on more than one occasion in history.

I will start off by reiterating what a fascinating subject this has become for me in recent months. When one begins to unpack Genesis 6:4 as well as other locations in Scripture when this event and the result of this event are mentioned, some of the more shall we say bizarre elements of Scripture begin to come into greater focus. Those who attempt to stifle conversation on this subject or brush it aside instead promoting that nothing really much took place are avoiding an important element of Bible study.

Some, as Skiba notes, promote the Sethite Theory, the idea that Genesis 6 is simply describing the sons of Seth engaging in relations with the ungodly offspring of Cain. Even a cursory look at Scripture as well as Jewish and Christian commentary on the subject reveals major holes in the Sethite Theory. Skiba aptly comments "if the sons of God are supposed to be a representation of the good sons of Seth mating with the bad daughters of Cain, why is it that the supposedly "good guys" are the ones doing the bad thing?" Indeed something more nefarious took place, namely that of fallen angels leaving their proper estate and coming to earth in an attempt to corrupt God's plan.

Skiba also takes an in-depth look at the Multiple Incursion Theory or the belief that these fallen angels not only acted in a pre-flood context but also after the flood. After engaging with the Biblical text and extra-biblical texts such as Enoch, Skiba rejects a multiple incursion approach, instead averring that the corrupt seed was carried by the wives of Noah's sons and thus was passed down to future generations. One can see this in Scripture with the existence and mention of generations of offspring, albeit of a much smaller size that potentially existed in a pre-flood time period. It is interesting to engage a passage such as Numbers 13:31-33, specifically the declaration by the Israelite spies that they were but "grasshoppers" when compared to the inhabitants of the land. This is not just mere symbolism but rather a reality given the spies encountered remnants of the Nephilim who were still alive during this time of history.

I also appreciated the attention paid by Skiba to the principle of the seed. Grasping the battle that exists between the seed of the woman and the seed of the enemy, truly sheds additional important insight not only to Genesis 6, but also the entirety of Scripture. Genesis 3:15 sets the stage for this battle, noting God's statement of "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." I found Skiba's statement "this whole issue of not mixing seed was the whole purpose of circumcision" to be quite important. He goes on to submit that a "covenant is always sealed in blood. Circumcision is a blood covenant, made in the "dispenser of seed" as a permanent reminder to stay pure." Such a comment shed great insight into the underlying purpose of circumcision and God's purpose in having His people faithfully perform that act.

Archon Invasion contains a plethora of interesting information that will provide the reader with much to consider. I guarantee that some paradigms will be challenged for those willing to take the time to read Skiba's research and comments. What took place in Genesis 6:4 was not some unimportant historical incident. It was an overt attempt to thwart God's plans. When one takes the time to look back in history and put some puzzle pieces together, the picture of what took place and what could take place once again in the future becomes a bit clearer. One thing is certain which Skiba consistently reiterates and that is God's plans can never be thwarted. Regardless of what plan the enemy hatches, God is in control and just as Caleb and Joshua led the charge against the giants of their day, we too if we remain faithful to God and His Word can defeat whatever the enemy brings our direction.

I highly recommend this book for any even remotely interested in this subject matter. I know I find it fascinating and I am confident those who read this book and other works by Rob Skiba and others who have diligently researched this subject matter will find themselves engaged and more importantly, they will find themselves digging deeper into the Word of God.

The subject of giants in the Bible is fascinating for me, and I've been excited to discover that the Bible contains many more clues about this topic than are readily apparent in a typical study of the Bible. But since, however, this is something of a fringe issue, the available literature in this field is sometimes a bit dubious.

I'm glad, though, that I gave Rob Skiba and this book of his a chance. I'm not 100% in agreement with his views, but I'm on board with much of what he includes here, and recommend this book for anyone who, like me, is eager to dive deeper into this intriguing corner of Biblical and world history. I've no doubt that many people—inside as well as outside the Church—have little or no sympathy toward the notion that fallen angels mated with human women to produce monstrous (in size and nature) hybrids that were a (perhaps the?) major reason for the flood of Noah's day, but it's right there in the Bible, in black and white, and Skiba does a good job of demonstrating this.

Fascinating Theory On Giants of Mythology

This is the first book I have read by Rob Skiba. It is tedious at times but it comes together. If the Nephilim of the Bible ever caught your interest, this is a must read.

After discovering this guy actually believes the earth is flat, I stopped reading. So this is a short and not so much as a review but a statement made against anyone believing the earth is flat. Really now.

While there is little here I have not read about, the author presents it in a manner that is interesting. He brings in opposing views and provokes one to delve deeper into the topic of the nephilim, the offspring of 'the watchers.' One of the best aspects of this well-researched book is how the author chronologically organizes scripture and other ancient texts that deal with the nephilim. He relays an account of the creation of the nephilim that allows a deep understanding of these vile creatures and the sinful state of the world. I also was quite impressed with his take on the genetic mixing of angelic and women to produce the nephilim. I agree with his take that it was genetic alteration and splicing rather than sexual coupling. The author also sheds light on the destruction, re-mergence, survival, and punishment of these creatures. He also lays out the bloodlines of the nehilim among the Canaanite peoples and their destructive impact on the region and enmity with Israel. Finally, he ends his book with a detailed view of the return of the nephilim as predicted in scripture.

His writing style is also fast-moving and sharp. There are many facts cited and there is a lot of science involved in the explanation of the genetic make-up of the nephilim. All of this results in a solid and scholarly book that feels like a draft of a dissertation with a heart for truth.

Fantastic book - 5 Stars

The author has done an excellent job researching for this book. Although you may not agree with everything in it, you owe it to yourself of to read this book. I believe they walk among us now. We are experiencing the "as it was in the days of Noah" right now. We all need to prepare ourselves with as much knowledge as we can acquire - for our days are numbered. This book was enlightening and scary. I give it 5 Stars.

Rob Skiba has done a masterful job unpacking the going’s on during Genesis by threading in 1 Enoch, Jasher and evening Jubilees. The book is written in an easy to understand prose and is packed with an abundance of footnotes & supporting documentation. I appreciate him providing his thesis and evidence regarding a single nephilim incursion theory during the days of Noah. Makes total sense. Rob, if you read this note - I sincerely thank you for sharing your “re” search. Bless you for sharing your efforts and helping me to appreciate the glory our mighty Yahuah all the more. Looking forward to reading more of your books!

Very Insightful, detailed with scripture sighted

This was a well thought out document. Sites many references. I ascribe to much of what's written, so I could have confirmation bias. I do ascribe to the single incursion theory and I think the theories In this book point to the things to come in Revelations.

It also provides insights that can align the Scientific dogma with the Biblical dogma and correlate this with Archiological as well as World wide Mythology and Creation Legends.

John Skiba’s theories just resonate as truth

I’m very impressed with his research and the way he presents it. He seems to be the most exegetical of the people in his field. And the truth really is stranger than fiction, and far more disturbing. He has opened the eyes of this sleeper and I believe God will bless him for bringing the truth to light.

Such an interesting topic, but I actually thought this was a novel. Instead, it goes through the war with Nephilim as chronicled in the Bible and other religious texts. The book is a bit repetitive, but Skiba does a pretty good job of making his case for his view of the texts. I am not fully persuade to his way of thinking, but I did enjoy the book.
