I was so ready for this book. I’ve been waiting for Mitch to get his own story for so very long now. I now understand he had to go through time and maturing and development but every time we got a new book and it wasn’t his story, I felt a twinge of disappointment. I adored all of his sneak peeks chapters and got so immersed in them that I forgot that it wasn’t his book…until the chapter ended and I had to return to reality (realities I did adore).

Pairing our deaf hero with a hearing heroine was a move we knew for sure in the last book. It made me excited to see how that would look. In here we get a cowboy small town romance and a workplace relationship. I love that he’s opening a deaf academy.

I was impressed with the research and sensitivity consulting that the author did for this book. This was a sweet romance with swoony moments and so much heart. I adored these two as they figured out their place together and worked to make his dream come true. There was faith, reconciliation, family, and so much more. This is a just kisses romance.

I received an eARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book is full of all the feels with out the smut and language. LOVED IT! Mitch Glover is a man who has dated for years and never found anyone who could really understand him and his feelings about being deaf, he has a passion for teaching and is using his generational wealth to build a school for the deaf. His assistant is a widow, although he did not realize that a first, but she has also been through some stuff, so for them to be together this is a long that they have to work through. Mitch also has a bit of a tumultuous relationship with his mom, so there is a lot to unpack in this book. it is done beautifully and we do get to visit others from the Glover family, which if you've read the previous books, it is a treat! The raw emotion that the author is able to channel in this book is special, it concludes nicely, but still leaves you wanting to read the next story. Well written and a really great book that I was sad to finish, I just wanted it to keep going.

What a GREAT book!!! And what an eye opener! So beautifully written, you can tell all the research that went into this book. It offers an excellent look into the life of the deaf and all the situations that are part of their everyday life, in a caring, loving way. Once again, you see how having such a large family as the Glovers can be overwhelming, especially for someone who cannot hear. I found a new appreciation for those who deal with hearing loss and profound admiration for those who choose to work to help them be heard. I found myself cheering them on as they worked to build the academy for the deaf. The characters were likeable and loveable. You got a feeling of being part of the story and knowing the characters personally. Always makes me look forward to the next book in the series. I highly recommend!

This story was an eye opener for me. I have never considered what a deaf person must be going through and how they feel. This book brought me to tears reading about how frustrating it is for Mitch to be a in large crowd and while they all try to include him, it is really impossible for him to feel included. I could feel his anger at Heavenly Father and I understood. I would probably be just as mad as him if I had the life challenge that he has had.
Lacy has faced her own unfair trials, with the passing of her husband. She loves her job at this facility and she doesn’t want t to jeopardize her job by letting herself fall in love with Mitch Glover.
Can they both gets past their hurts and anger to let their hearts heal and find love with each other?

I have been so excited for Mitch to have his own story! I thought the challenges people in the deaf community face was very well presented. Mitch and Lacy both struggled with turning inward when the outside circumstances became too much. Their interactions were so interesting and almost heartbreaking at times as they learned to work through limitations.

Mitch and Lacy also had backgrounds of faith which they had strayed from in recent years. Seeing them come back to the importance of that in such different ways and at different times was inspiring. I wanted to applaud his parents for not pushing, but allowing the Lord to work in their lives in his timing.

I just love all the characters in this series and feel like they are family! I always look forward to returning to Three Rivers!

A delightful read, this is a small town story in the "Three Rivers" series. It is the story about Mitch who's deaf and Lacy his educational director. The storytelling is captivating and the setting where the book takes place is charming. The story gives an insight to how life can be a bit complicated when, having a disability. The constant challenges to manage the daily life, and also build your dreams of teaching and helping others with the same disability. Reading this book put a perspective on life, and even more so on how life can be even harder for those with disabilities. This story is definitely a page turner and the more you read the more you want to know what happens. I can definitely recommend this sweet read!

wow, I loved this book

Mitch and Lacy, both with deep hurt in their hearts that both could understand and help each other very well. Lacy has a brother who is deaf and learned to sign so she could communicate with him. Mitch and Lacy were made for each other, but can they get past their hurting hearts to realize it. This book made me really understand what being deaf means to the person experiencing it. To be shut away in a world of silence that others could not even fathom. This author really spoke to my heart and gives more knowledge so we can understand. Where I work has recently started working with the deaf community and interpreters. I highly encourage you to read this book and you will gain a new perspective in more ways than one.

I Love Three Rivers! I have been waiting on Mitch’s story (since he was a little boy!) and I really wondered how it could be written. Liz does not disappoint! This story goes above and beyond to take you into the non-hearing world. Mitch comes back home to Three Rivers to build Signs of Success, the academy that he has dreamed of that will unite people that are deaf with their families and a community. And of course there is a sweet love story between Mitch and his Administrative Director. Both have to overcome past hurts and once again let God influence their lives. You will love this sweet, clean, inspirational romance!

This story is so much more than a “small town cowboy romance”. We see the struggles of being deaf in a hearing world and all the frustrations that come with that. We see a young woman struggling to move on with her life and love again! Both Mitch and Lacey have serious baggage, and have set their relationship with God on the back burner. It is refreshing to see all of their relationships grow stronger throughout this book. And the attention to detail of the deaf community is amazing. Whether you have been in Three Rivers forever, or this is your first visit, I can assure you that you won’t want this to be your last visit!

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Mitch Glover’s dream of starting Signs for Success, an academy for the deaf is coming to fruition with the help of his assistant, Lacy Hayes and her brother. Trouble is he is falling for Lacy and she seems not to be interested at first, but eventually she opens her heart to him and shares her past. Mitch has to figure out how to keep her in his life, and how to deal with his large family. An awesome book of faith, relationships, and dealing with being deaf in a hearing world. Super addition to this family saga series.

Heartwarming addition to the Three Rivers Romance series by Liz Isaacson.
Mitch has been deaf for decades and has studied and refined his skills over the years to make his dreams of having an academy for the deaf in his hometown. Lacy is his assistant who is helping with his dream. She’s fluent in sign language and is an essential part of his plans, but his attraction for her might become an issue.
She’s a widow so is hesitant to date especially her boss and friend.
Life is crazy but God has a plan.

What a fantastic story! This is Mitch’s story, and it was beautiful and so well written. Mitch has been deaf since birth and has struggled fitting into the big family group since there are so many conversations that he can’t follow. After being away for years, he returns home and is opening a center for the deaf with the help of his assistant Lacy Hayes and her brother, they both know sign language and are a huge help to Mitch. I loved seeing the warm, emotional and loving relationship between Mitch and Lacy. I loved this story, including faith, difficulties, love and hope you will too.

Mitch and Lacy
Oh what a story this was for Mitch Glover!
This is near to my heart as I have a child who is deaf. I could relate to Mitch and his family as they struggled with his disability and how to help him understand he has value and worth in this world.
I loved how Lacy grew in the story through working through all the issues that came from her first marriage when her husband, who is now deceased, tried to keep her in his box and not let her thrive.
What a wonderful family to be a part of!

What a special story and knowing the author did so much to make this book authentic means a lot. I wondered how Mitch’s story would go and knowing how prickly he can be I knew it would take a special woman to be with him. His dedication to helping the deaf live independent lives caused me to realize how little I know about how hard it is for the deaf in a hearing world. I loved how Lacy is hearing but has a deep personal connection to the deaf. The Glovers love big and they are emotional people. Loved everything about this book, well written and enjoyable.

The Cowboy Who Heard Her - Mitch and Lacy
Oh Mitch! I have been waiting for this one and it did NOT disappoint. What an eye opener to a world I knew nothing about! Love Three Rivers and the stories set there. Rose and Mitch complete each other! Their story is captivating and makes you want to reach for the stars. And yet life and character qualities/challenges must be worked through. This is a feel good story that I highly recommend reading!

This book is amazing and absolutely want more on what happens with Sings of Success. Simply a must read and will change how you view life for people who deaf living in a hearing world.

dreams do come through

Lacy has a heart of gold. Mitch is so grumpy and irritable, but she seen the good in him. She even has him seeing to himself and how to be a loving better cowboy.
Reading this book, honestly shows broken hearts to find God, well as for now only lacy, but can become one.
Another book you will love and honestly still fill like you are there and part of the family!

Good Ending-Beginning for Mitch.

Good Ending-Beginning for Mitch. I enjoyed this book and the healing and redemptive feeling I got from it. It showed people going through tough times and trusting God, even when our faith gets weak from the strains of our trials. And they have to work to move back and find their relationship with God and with family. It helped to motivate me to work on my relationship with God and Jesus.

I absolutely loved this book! As someone wo has hearing loss and dealing with someone who has a profound hearing loss, I could understand the frustration non hearing people go through. One thing that I would not have done, but was done well, was the proposal with his family and friends there. Mitch and Lacy are perfect together!

Journeying with Mitch opened my eyes to the experiences of deaf individuals in a hearing world. I now have a greater respect for those who are born deaf or who have developed hearing problems. I can only imagine how this book challenges the author to immerse us in Mitch's life.

Mitch and Lacy complemented each other's strengths and weaknesses well. I appreciated how the writer allowed both characters to grow and develop individually and together.

Overcoming Thru Love

Mitch's dream of his school for the deaf is coming true, and Lacy is a huge part of it. He doesn't want their relationship to be only professional, though, and neither does she. It is an amazing story of living a challenged life, overcoming obstacles and hardships, learning to be patient, and allowing love into both their lives. Beautiful story!

Gotta love a cowboy gentleman

The Walker and Glover families are my favorite! Salt of the earth people who share their blessings. They never forget who their blessings come from. I love the way Liz incorporates God in their life experiences. Thank you Liz. The world needs more books like yours.

Another great read in this series from this so talented author. I received a wonderfully thorough education in Deaf life and issues. I feel blessed to follow Mitch, who we all feel connected to in some way, and his journey with Lacey. Just a marvelous reading experience. Thank you so much, Ms. Isaacson.

The Cowboy Who Heard Her

Mich was trying to get his academy open for hearing impaired students and Lacy was helping him get it up and running. Lacy wasn't ready for a relationship when Mich first asked her out.she hadn't told him she was a widow.

Interesting story about deaf people!

It is a great story about deaf people. I learned so much. Mitch had a long way to go to accomplish what he wanted. With Lacy by his side as his interpreter he was able to succeed. This is an awesome and heartwarming story.
