The story rounds off and completes a full circle. Ryan faces his demons and gains possibly a love. His down and out life squares out with a final Face-off with an entity which brings him back close to his dead family. The story descends into a convoluted mess with no inkling as to what and where the next phase goes. Alls well that ends well, but this volume turns disappointing after 4 blockbuster volumes. Still Chuck can be credited for a great horror story and looking forward to another season with these characters. The art is great.
So sad this series has ended. I was really enjoying the roller coaster ride. Poor Quinn. Also, kind of hard to believe that the creature from the dark after possessing all of these people died after being run over by a truck. Anti-climactic. Love the romance brewing with Opal And poor Quinn. Would really like to know what happened there. Can’t wait for the next one. Love this series, 10 out of 10. Let’s do it again.
Really enjoyed this horror series! Chuck Austen gives us a likable protagonists who can see ghosts and also shoulders the legacy of being the son of famous paranormal experts.
I really enjoyed this series, but 5 issues seems way to rushed for all the potential that was introduced. I hope the team is willing and able to revisit this world at some point.
