Poor Ending

I have read a lot of series and this has to be the least imaginative of all of them. The relic hunter should be the hero as it appears she can do no wrong. Yes I know there are two more books but there are a lot of different ways to end a series. Each to there own.

Terrible

Well written… of course.
BUT…
Ending a novel the way this was ended is shameful… even if, in some miraculous way, the author subsequently “fixes it” this way just plain bad!

I loved this series, however very disappointed in this one. First, he spends WAAAAYYYY too much time explaining how beautiful everyone is. I found myself yelling, “Cut to the chase, for crying out loud!” Secondly, the relic hunter herself can do no wrong and planned this very heist for years! Yeah……no. Sorry, I know this is fiction but this is totally out there. She should have been the hero. Lastly, DO NOT LEAVE ME WITH A CLIFFHANGER WHEN IT WILL BE A MINIMUM OF ANOTHER YEAR TO LISTEN TO THE TOTALLY UNBELIEVABLE ENDING! I’m thinking this will be the last installment for me. It’s becoming too lame.

Read the e-book version and it definitely needs some serious editing! I've read several of the "Sam & Tom" books, but this one sort of left me cold. Cartwright definitely did better in some of the preceding Sam Reilly stories. And the ending! Yikes, is rich daddy James going to step in for the next "Reilly" adventure? OK, gave it 3 stars but, if it had been my 1st Sam Reilly book, I'm afraid it would have been, at best, a 1-star for me.

Great!

I really enjoyed this novel. It contains the same great fast paced action and well developed characters found in each novel of this series. The ending is very surprising though, I can’t wait for the next installment.

I have read most all of CC's books and can't wait to get to next page, chapter, book. They are always filled with top notch characters, villians, plots, history, twists, and just plain entertainment. If you haven't read his work, shame on you!!

Reads like it's written for film adaptation. A bit formulaic. Predictable in some aspects, stretches credibility in some places, but not without a surprise.
