Another murder-mystery in which Ranger Jack Fellows pursues wrong-doing in England's unique Norfolk Broads.
Having a Ruby Anniversary balloon flight over Broadland is an exciting big tick off Jack's bucket list, and certainly one that gives a whole new perspective to his life as a River Ranger ... and even more so when he spots something strange and mysterious in the reed-beds below.
Suspicions aroused, his 'copper's instinct' leads to a sinister finding and, ultimately, disclosures of past wrongs, inevitable greed and unpunished evil. Undaunted, Jack pursues his quest for truth and justice amongst the rivers and boatyards of his beloved Broads, unearthing skeletons in more than one family's cupboard, and tragedy and long-sought reckoning in another's.
Chris Crowther spent 42 years flying a variety of aeroplanes and helicopters around the world. It was in West Africa that he renewed his love of writing, spending spare hours on helidecks out in the South Atlantic, penning articles and short stories for magazines and periodicals and, at the same time, working on his first full-length novel, BLADESTRIKE, a thriller eventually published in the U.S.
In 2002, he retired from flying and, for five years, skippered passenger boats on the Norfolk Broads, the setting for the “Jack Fellows” series of whodunnits. Now fully-retired except for his writing, Chris spends as much time as possible, sailing the rivers and coast with his wife, Sue
I have now read the whole series & enjoyed every one. My husband is also reliving our trips to the Broads through these great mysteries. Thank you Chris Crowther.
