Devoted, Alumbra Pack book 5 by AJ Renee
I was given this book by the author for an honest review.
I am a GIANT fan of this series. I think I fall in love with each character and pairing to be honest.
We briefly met Ignacio when he took Carrie on a date last book…woops good things Lance didn’t kill him. LOL But this book we learn it is because he smelled his mate and thought it was her. Needless to say, he was wrong. He left the pack with a very grumpy wolf who demanded they find and claim their mate.
Pepper was stunned when she felt the mark on her hip and even more shocked when she realized it was the man who asked Carrie out. She loves her friend and lets her go knowing nothing would come of it. However, Pepper was going crazy not knowing who her mate WAS and when he would return.
To say the chemistry exploded when they finally got face to face is an understatement. These two were all about the sex and then the “get to know ya”. That may have caused issues when they didn’t know each other except between the sheets. Ignacio’s tragic past comes back and causes issues with Peter’s pack.
I loved the way the story turned, and we see so much past trauma and hurt. Ignacio learns the truth about what he THOUGHT he knew. He also must fix the bonds with his new mate due to his reactions to everything because they didn’t really know one another. The story takes another twist when we find out someone is after Ignacio. Pepper is bound and determined to find her mate with the help of our other pack friends.
Seriously I loved this book. I had planned on getting a few chapters in but didn’t stop reading until it was done. I was captivated by the story, the packs growing, the family ties between the 2 packs, and the love story of Pepper and Ignacio.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
I love this series and was so excited to get this one in my hands. Each book draws me in more and more to the pack. This story is all about Ignacio and Pepper and what a story it is.
Ignacio has lived his life alone and family always leaving. His sisters ran away and his parents left him. He was left to those that should have protected him but didn’t. Ignacio had to fight his way to where he was and was able to make things work for him. He was even branching out and working with a pack. While visiting one day he thought he found his mate, Carrie. But soon figured out he was wrong about her being his mate.
Things were going good for Pepper. She had her best friends Carrie and Kim, going to school and had a job substitute teaching. When her mating mark made its appearance, she realized it was the guy Carrie was on a date with and she would not get in Carrie’s way of happiness. The mate pull was too strong and Pepper realized Carrie was not interested in Ignacio oh man did the sparks start to fly for Pepper and Ignacio.
Things were going well for these two in the matting department but they really didn’t know anything about each other and their pasts. Ignacio’s finds his past staring him in the face and reacts a way that scares Pepper so much so she is not sure about the mate that was fated to her. Will Ignacio be able to explain his past and everything that lead up to his reaction or will Pepper be lost to him forever.
This series has me hooked and I cannot wait to see this pack grow. There is not one matted pair I have not liked. I enjoyed all their stories and seeing them come together when things go astray. This story had me flipping the pages like crazy. I could not put this one down.

This was another solid addition to this series! Ignacio thought he found his mate in Carrie but realized that she wasn't the one. Pepper was shocked to find out Ignacio was her mate when he was on a date with her friend and decided to step back in order to let Carrie have her chance. When Ignacio found out Pepper was his mate, the two of them were hot and heavy. The problem? They were all about the mating and never really got to know each other. Ignacio had some deep issues that he needed to come to grips with and when his past comes back to haunt him, he reacts badly. I was glad they were able to overcome and be there for each other. I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness.

Ignacio meets Carrie and thinks he's found his fated mate until he meets Pepper who happens to be Carrie's friend. Pepper knew instantly that Ignacio was her mate but she didn't want to come between him and Carrie but the pull between them was too strong. Things get steamy between Pepper and Ignacio but when things take a dangerous turn Ignacio's reaction startles Pepper. Devoted is book five in the Alumbra Pack series. This fated mates, shifter romance is well written with well developed characters and a page turning story that held my attention from the first page until the last. I recommend this book, this series, and this author to everyone who loves reading great books. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I love the Alumbra Pack and with each book that is released - there has not been one matted pair I have not liked! Fate really knows how to pair them up! Pepper and Ignacio and finally found each other, but not everything is a red of roses for them. Sure, the sex/chemistry is great between them, but there are truths that need to be revealed, issues to be resolved, they need to get to know each other and someone is after Ignacio! The Alumbra pack will do everything in their power to help – but these two have some work to do!! I love this series and would highly recommend to other readers!

Another great book to the Alumbra Pack! The author brings strong characters in Ignacio and Pepper and takes you into their lives with chemistry and steam as they realize they are mates. Now his past needs to be dealt with. The story moves fluidly with descriptive scenes and I loved reading their story.

It’s very interesting read.
It’s shifters story but their life is touch by situation then unfortunately happen in real life. We talking about trafficking, child exploitation, abuse and more.
Sweet shifters touch and story will keep your attention.
