How sweet it is to be loved by you… This is what Virginia hopes when she falls for Nadia. Tennis is a sport I went through a phase of following and memorizing all the stats as well as the up and coming female tennis players. This story is definitely up alley with young female tennis players and the fact that they are lesbians. Delicious!

Ms. Felthouse serves up a delightful tale of two athletic women moving from friends to lovers. The tennis theme helped bring forth a friendly competitive chemistry between Virginia and Nadia. The two women volley back and forth a lusty flirtation which brings the reader to a steamy shower scene. I'm glad I'm not the only one who fantasizes about a shower scene like this after a good workout.

This story moves at a good pace. The sex is good. The characters are fun and likeable. There is a little plot device which is used to create a situation for Virginia. This didn’t work too well for me. I understand why it was used and how it makes the story work. It felt as if it pulled focus from the story. Perhaps it was a bit too easy an explanation and resolution which is why it didn't do well for me. Still, overall this story is a smooth and enjoyable read. Recommended for f/f romance lovers who want to read about sexy athletic women getting it on.

Virginia is an up and coming tennis player who is accepted at a prestigious tennis academy. While there she discovers she is very attracted to Nadia, a professional who just missed winning her first Grand Slam tourney. Virginia is wondering if she should let Nadia know her true feelings and this inner conflict, along with very intriguing sub plots make this book a good read.

While the sex scenes with Nadia and Virginia are very hot, especially the shower scene, the story of their attraction is well crafted too. Plus there are a few other conflicts along the way that keep the reader form figuring everything out too quickly. Both main characters of Virgina and Nadia are well developed and by the end you are cheering for them...in both their tennis and their other activities! Another good lesbian story by this author.

I wish to thank Ms. Felthouse for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I received a copy of this book from Inked Rainbow Reads in return for an honest review.
This is a reissue of a previously published book. I'm not sure what, if anything, changed from the first issue, but I thoroughly enjoyed this version. I like the rawness of the sex scenes; it made them hotter. And I really appreciate that for once an author used a first person pov without jumping to the other character's viewpoint. There were a couple of things that were issues for me. First, things seem to go really quickly as far as their relationship was concerned. One minute Virginia was pining after Nadia, and the next minute they're having sex in a (semi)public place, and then two minutes later they're declaring their deep feelings for each other. Which is okay for the length of book it was, and pretty intense too. But I always like it when love develops over time, as the two get to know each other better. Instant lust is great - it's hot and results in awesome sex. But it just seems to me that love, at least deep and lasting love, takes longer to get to. The other thing that I would've really liked is more interaction between the two women. At the party, I don't pick up much on Nadia's attraction to Virginia, and I'm not sure she would have left Virginia's room if she really felt the way she said she did. I just really would have liked more encounters between them before we got to the good stuff.
All in all, I liked the book. It was a quick read, sexy and interesting.

I thoroughly enjoyed this F/F novella. I found the two main characters interesting and very likeable. The story flowed well and kept my attention throughout. I didn't want it to end and definitely feel there is more of this story waiting to be told.

Oh how I enjoy a Lucy Felthouse title! This one is focused on the world of tennis, and an up and coming contender in Virginia with her mentor and friend Nadia. When Virginia decides that a bit of alcohol will help her to reveal her attraction to Nadia, she gets horribly drunk and her behavior embarrasses her and puts her in hot water at the Institute.

Embarrassed by her own behavior, Virginia’s point of view is highlighted with a solidy defined voice and feels wholly appropriate. Her own concerns about offending Nadia when she reveals her feelings have her hesitant and awkward, which is endearing. When these two finaly DO act on their attraction, their connection is incredibly sexy and hot, with the inset of Virginia’s thoughts and desires adding to the steam. My only complaint is the over-reaction to the twist in the story.

Virginia’s behavior at the party after the US Open was out of character, and when the reasons are explained, I found her overreaction highlighted her youth and immaturity, and felt more than slightly preachy. The situation was horrid, but one would expect that reaction IF the plan had succeeded, and not so much for someone who escaped without injury. It did, however, serve to show more of Nadia’s character and emotional connection. A hot and steamy short that gives an insight into their lives and concerns, you don’t have to be a sport fan to enjoy this.

I received an eBook copy of the title from the publisher for purpose of honest review for the Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

This novella had very good pacing in it, and I was able to get into the mind of the MC very quickly. What I loved was being able to hear V’s voice in my own head as I read through the novella. The plot line is quick, but it still allows for anticipation of the romance aspect to be built. I was definitely rooting for V to get over her fears and do something about it.

The twist in the middle of the book was an interesting one, and one that I saw coming. It was not unexpected, and I’m glad it wasn’t. My only issue is the resolve from the twist seems to have happened far too quickly to be 100% believable to me. I felt the resolve had to come about more quickly in order to get enough sex into an erotica romance novella, which I can understand, but at the same time, with the twists subject, it didn’t seem like it flowed together well.

The erotic aspects of this novella were very hot and tantalizing. It fit with the two characters and kept the story moving. Overall this is a very well-written erotic romance novella. I wish there had been more erotic scenes throughout it, but alas, can’t always please a young woman’s heart!

I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

Sweet Spot by Lucy Felthouse
Lucy brings us back to the famous Los Carlos Tennis Academy in California that was in Grand Slam. This was a great short story but I was a little sad because it was just getting good when it ended. Virginia is a transfer from London coming to America to maker her tennis skills much better by attending the academy just like Travis Connolly did. Virginia is a rising star but the only thing she really has on her mind is Nadia. Nadia is also a tennis pro at the academy. Virginia is torn because she doesn’t know which team Nadia bats for. She is afraid that she will make a fool out of herself if she doesn’t like women.
It is a good thing that Nadia notices Virginias lingering looks or some steamy hot shower action would have never happened. I am not sure how Lucy always comes out with such good stories. I hope we see another story from this academy soon. There are a few characters left that need their own story. I received this book as a gift from the author.

Four Stars: f/f romance

I was a little disappointed with the opening chapters, finding them a little disjointed and lacking consistency. The relationship between the two women seemed to go from slow and steady to bordering on the erotic with nothing in between!

The setting was ideal for the passions and encounters that were involved. The author showing clear understanding of what is needed to make a professional tennis player. I also found the description of the British and their proclamation on being sorry highly amusing (and truthful).

However once the relationship between the women developed so did the storyline. The whole novel took on a more interesting and absorbing feel. Emotions were well written and as a reader I developed real empathy with both characters.

A novel full of erotic encounters but with enough substance to keep the readers attention.

Sweet Spot is a charming tale of two female up and coming champion tennis players. It is a very good read, filled with the wonder of falling in love and the heartache when a secret comes to light.

Lighthearted and sweet, I devoured this book in a few hours. It was just the perfect thing to take me away from real life for a spell. I have had the honour of reading Lucy's work before and this one as with her others did not disappoint. I'm off to find another. Thank you Ms. Felthouse!

I expected a light sports romance, but this story went to a darker place. That said, I think those elements (attempted rape) were handled well, with a proper sense of emotional impact. It did mean for me that Sweet Spot didn't fill the role in my reading that I thought it would. I believed in the characters' feelings for each other, and the sex scenes were hot. I did, however, feel blindsided by where the plot went, since there was nothing in the blurb or cover art that clued me in to anything other than fun tennis stuff.

A sweet sapphic tale of lust and love!

Virginia is an up and coming tennis star and has secured her place at a top notch training academy in the USA. Whilst visiting the US Open Virginia makes a fool of herself and finds she is on probation back at the academy.

Her mentor is Nadia - top female tennis player and the object of Virginia's desires. Can she behave back in Cali and can she keep her crush under wraps.

I knew this was going to be a short read but was disappointed to see it end. I wanted to know more about the 2 main characters as well as the supporting characters. I would still recommend reading this and look forward to reading more from this author.

Sweet Spot by Lucy Felthouse was a good quick read. Virginia is an up and coming tennis star. She begins training with her mentor Nadia. Things start getting distracting as well as heating up for both women. Xanthia Bloom did a great job narrating and bringing life to the characters.

I read this just after Wimbledon, thinking a tennis romance story with an F/F angle might be cool. It starts out pretty slow, with Virginia's story and her shy crush on Nadia set against a background of competitive tennis. There is a subplot around a potential rape which might trigger some readers although it didn't bother me and added some impetus to the story line. I liked the tennis scene and the seduction afterwards. More tennis might be good. The story gets really hot at the end, so if you prefer your F/F stories to be gentle erotica this might be a little steamy for you. I thought it was well written but I would have preferred a longer read and have the romance to go through a few more gear changes before it hits full speed ahead.

Raw Talent Book Two. Can be read as a standalone book.

Virginia Miller is disappointed when her friend Nadia Gorla didn't win her tournament, so she decides they need to drown their sorrows. The next morning Virginia finds herself in some hot water due to her alcohol induced shenanigans. However, when she recieves some bad news from her boss, Nadia is there to comfort her. While Virginia is a bit nervous to begin a relationship with her mentor, she has had a crush on Nadia for a long time.

If you're looking for a quick f/f read with a bit of tennis and locker rooms thrown in, this is the short for you!

Quick and easy listen but ending is very disappointing. At one point in the plot it was developed poorly and for the events involved brushed aside quite quickly. Also I couldn't marry the main characters reaction or overreaction with how she briskly explained it away. Sexy scenes were hot.
I didn't mind Xanthia Bloom's narration as much in this book but at one point a male character was talking and there's little differentiation between he and the main female character bar the accent. 2.5 stars at most

This cute tale briefly follows Virginia and Nadia as their relationship shifts from friend and mentor to possibly something more.

The story has a well-defined plot for such a short work; however, I feel that parts of it were not needed. I understand why it was added to the story; however, it is not really to my tastes and it feels a bit thrown in just to have a bit of conflict. We have no idea what happens to the man that drugged her; I know that it isn’t a main part of the work; however, it still feels unresolved in my mind, especially for how much time V spent saying she would do something about it and such.

I had trouble connecting with the characters, they both felt a bit clichéd and almost too perfect. I felt that I really didn't get to know them enough to connect with them and truly care about what happened with their relationship.

The intimate scenes are hot and fun; I just didn’t appreciate some of the terms used in a few places, and spelling and grammar errors made it difficult to read in an instance or two.

I felt like we were thrown into the middle of a larger book and were only around to witness them coming together, but not around enough to get to know them and their relationship.

It was a nice little heated story; I had just been expecting something more with the amount of subplots in the work. I would definitely recommend this to folks that like their little erotic trips, but don’t want to read a full novel.

First, thanks go to the author for providing a free copy in return for a review. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

This was a decent novella if that's your sort of thing. Overall well-written with a pretty good plot base, but I prefer novel-length stories where more depth is able to develop. Some graphic scenes, but honestly parts seemed a bit crass to me. I didn't particularly enjoy or dislike this story, but it seems it's really just a matter of tastes...it's not a bad or poorly written story, just not my cup of tea.

Would recommend this to readers looking for a quick romance with some dirty bits.
