One of the most remarkable of Maimonides' letters. Unlike the majority of his writings, it was not written for scholars, but for the simple Jews of Yemen. For a community oppressed by a Muslim tyrant and confused by a false messiah.
Maimonides encouraged the people to be proud of their religion, and not to be misled by spurious arguments. And he explained the Jewish concept of the Messiah (Mashiach).
This book also includes Maimonides' introduction to "Perek Chelek" in Sanhedrin, where he explains Judaism's views on the Days of the Messiah, the Revival of the Dead, and the World to Come. All in all, an excellent source of information about topics about which there is much confusion.
