Rumors of war boil angrily within the Middle East at this present hour. Just as Egyptian dictator Gamal Abdel Nasser vowed to push all Jews into the Mediterranean, so have today's Israel-haters proclaimed they will push all of God's chosen people into the sea, erasing all traces of the Jewish state from the land. Iran is on the brink of producing atomic weaponry with which to accomplish that avowed threat. Many fear World War III could begin if the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) attacks Iran's nuclear production facilities. The struggle is far more than a modern one. It goes back to the beginning of man's existence on Planet Earth. And now the push by both Muslims and Jews to build the Third Temple in Jerusalem is seen by some as a trigger event that could ultimately boil over into all-out Armageddon.

I gave this book three stars because the author is encouraging and very uplifting. Also, he is very good at always pointing back to Jesus- and that is more important than anything when discussing prophecy. However, there is a certain naivety that permeates Cauldron. I knew that I was going to have a difficult time reading the book when the official 19-terrorist spiel of 9/11 appeared in one of the first chapters. As a dissemenator of information you should be able to research and discover truth for writing a book. I should be able to trust the study time you poured into your subjects, but when I see the psyop lie of 9/11, touting the official narrative, in an author's book- I know they are either willfully deceived or a shill for the shadow illuminists behind every betrayal of our nation.
Mr. James also hangs his hat on a pre-trib rapture that subtly tranquilizes Christians into inaction and apathy towards the evil around them. If the rapture occurs before the man of lawlessness is revealed, how is it that he is given time to prevail over the saints as Daniel states? And if the Holy Spirit is removed from the world in the Tribulation, how is it that anyone comes to Christ during that time to be persecuted by the antichrist system? Since no one can be saved apart from the working of the Spirit?
Overall, the book was disappointing. He also believes that ISIS was a random movement that arose from the Arab Spring movement and that Assad gassed his own people in Syria. Never mind the fact that every place in Syria and Iraq that was gassed had ISIS terrorists swarming it hours afterwards, killing all the men and taking women and children as sex slaves. The nerve gas came from Libya after Clinton and her lackeys destroyed the country and armed ISIS for the destabilization of Syria. Please see the George Webb youtube channel for an awesome investigation of this murderous situation.
Author Terry James wrote in the Introduction to this 2014 book, “Only God’s staying hand keeps a lid on the Middle East cauldron. Welcome to a look at what the Bible has to say about the end-times issues and events that rage within the Mideast today. This book will use God’s Holy Word to explain what’s going on---and what’s been going on for centuries---in countries like Israel, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, and that whole region called Palestine. Not your usual geopolitical gobbledygook, [this book]… will give you the straight scoop on the history, events, and prophecies relating to that important area of the world.” (Pg. 3)
He states, “Some today have rewritten the history books to say that Africa is the place where human beings first evolved. God’s Word says otherwise. The Bible says God created man: first Adam, then Eve. They lived in the Garden of Eden, which the book of Genesis places in the area we know today as Iraq and Iran. Of the four streams Genesis lists as boundaries of Eden, the only wo we know today are the Tigris and the Euphrates.” (Pg. 3)
He asserts, “I have to believe that, as early as the moment he entered Eden, Satan planned to use Middle East oil in his war against humankind… scientists tell us that petroleum is largely decayed animal and vegetable matter that is compressed… for many, many years… Satan, I believe, knew this physical law … very well… It seems to be no coincidence that the Middle East, where the Garden of Eden was located, has the richest oil deposits on earth.” (Pg. 25)
He observes, “What a time to be alive! Think of it: God chose for us to live at the time that is almost certainly the wind-up of human history… this all means that Jesus is about to return! All of the major signals that Jesus and Daniel the prophet foretold for the very end of this present Earth Age are in our headlines today. I firmly believe that the European Union… is the forming, final, one-world government of Daniel 2… God knew from before the Creation that oil would focus attention on the Middle East at the end of human history. He knew that the Garden of Eden’s lushness of life would bring about the end-time energy source the nations would covet.” (Pg. 125-126)
He suggests, “Some very good students of prophecy believe [Deut 33:24-25) concerning ‘oil’ and ‘Asher’ to have reference to petroleum and the Middle East in the last days… Other students, equally qualified, believe the ‘oil’ strictly refers to olive oil, the highly valued natural extract produced in the Middle East. Still others believe is a double reference in this passage. They think it could refer to both olive oil and petroleum… I haven’t made an in-depth study in this, so can’t even venture a good guess as to whether ‘oil’ here might refer to one, the other, or both. I do believe, though, that this passage is prophetic.” (Pg. 134-135)
He asserts, “When, n 1999, Israel Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered Yasser Arafat an unbelievably large portion of Israel’s tiny territory in exchange for peace, God’s holy eyes must have filled with tears of rejection… The world’s international community called it a courageous thing to do. Those who knew better called it foolishness at best and insanity at worst.” (Pg. 213) He continues, “Israel must come to realize that its only reliance is on the Lord. With millions upon millions of enemies surrounding the tiny sliver of land that is present-day Israel, the nation needs friends… But Israel has one Friend, if they will but turn to him.” (Pg. 218)
He argues, “‘Intifada’… is the word invented by Arab Islamic radicals to mean ‘a shaking’---is the word for that Armageddon fuse… the movement, which has not morphed into jihad that infects all of Islam, threatens to spark all-out war against Israel.” (Pg. 220)
He contends, “The globalists want peace at any price---that is, as long as it doesn’t cut into their perks or benefits… Everyone will have to make sacrifices for the cause of world peace---everyone, that is, except them… Undoubtedly, some within the globalist movement want genuine peace---for genuinely compassionate reasons. But the movement itself is geared toward achieving power by stepping on the backs, heads, and bodies of anyone who gets in their way.” (Pg. 228-229)
He says, “The people of Israel seem confused about their leadership, according to their voting history. They have swung wildly in their elections… from the liberal/moderate Rabin to the conservative Banjamin Netanyahu, to the liberal Ehud Barak, to the ultra-conservative Ariel Sharon, and…. back to Netanyahu.” (Pg. 241)
He asks, “What about ‘signs in the heaven’?... UFO sightings have almost become everyday happenings in our time. Strange things are taking place in the heaven, indeed!... They appear suddenly and disappear just as suddenly… Some prophecy scholars believe these strange objects are angels, activities rather than extraterrestrial traffic from other planets. Regardless, they fit Christ’s forewarning of signs in the heavens.” (Pg. 300-301)
He says of Pope Francis I, “This pope certainly has proven to prefer moving away from the Catholic Church’s views on salvation and homosexuality… I in no sense mean to imply that Pope Francis is the pope who will oversee the Catholic Church during its most troubling times in history as St Malachy’s predictions seem to indicate… But, it is interesting that the pope is taking the Catholic system toward embracing a regime that is run by a leader [Putin] who was a short time ago a brutal enforcer for what was called an ‘evil empire’ by an American president.” (Pg. 303)
He explains, “What about America in prophecy? What will happen to the U.S.? … Although the United States of America isn’t mentioned in prophecy specifically… some prophecy scholars think it is referenced in [Ezek 38:13]… I personally believe America will no longer be a superpower when the time of the Tribulation, or Apocalypse, arrives. I do believe the U.S. could still be around as a nation that has been absorbed into the ten-leader kingdom prophesied in Daniel and Revelation.” (Pg. 305)
He concludes, “I believe, based on the many, many signals of the last days we’ve been addressing … that the one who will be Antichrist is alive today… I even more firmly believe that if you are a true Christian today, you will not know who this man is…” (Pg. 312)
This book may still appeal to some Evangelicals who are interested in prophecy.
Amazing Biblical Insight Into the Middle East Terry James is a brilliant writer and his books never let me down. Cauldron is right up there with his best. In the book, Terry looks at the past, present, and future of the Middle East - especially Israel. He traces the origin of the Middle East conflict back to Genesis 3 and looks at how it will end from the Book of Revelation. If you want to understand how today's headlines reveal the ages-old spiritual battle between good (God) and evil (Satan), you should read Cauldron.
