Barbie Dreams.

Continuation of a Slaughter on Fifth Avenue. Barbie and her fellow house-mates are terrorized by the servant of the Cuckoo. They all get horrible nightmares. Unfortunately, one of the house-mates is a bona fide witch, and not defenseless. If she wasn't in this story, it would only be 3*.

Genuinely sad and I like the similarities with this compared to issue 15, but I like this better. The internal struggles and pains of the people in the apartment was very sad, and I think this journey will be great. This is fr in my top 10, or at the minimum close to my top 10 issues so far.

High 10

Back on track! I hit a lull with disinterest in some of the temporary focal point characters of prior chapters, but I’m glad to have found that genuine curiosity in the plot again with interest for the focal characters. Barbie’s ties to Doll House and Rose Walker are very smooth and a reminder for me to keep track of these types of connections in the Sandman world.

The dead baby eating the other baby was pretty messed up! Good thing I’m reading this at 4am because that’s an image you can really only deal with at this hour.

Wow.

Good but got a bit graphic at the end there. But the dreams are effecting people again.

Maybe this is why I am less entralled by this plotline: the Big Bad... is a cuckoo. Seriously. We just got back back from Hell and battled serial killers, you want me to care about a cuckoo? Get a cat.
