NOT a “Happily Ever After”

Spoiler review!

I loved this book mostly. Great writing, you live the characters, Portia (Annie) gets revenge and really grows a a person. But I was not prepared for George to die at the end.

I see there are at least 11 more books, and it looks like Annie goes through a lot. Not sure if I’ll read them now, I love a good series but can’t stand when authors drag a persons chance of happiness out. I don’t like the suffering, it’s torture.

The small side plot of Annie’s mother was never explored - a set up for a later storyline?

Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!

Holy hell!!! This is one hell of a book, it’s hard to out down and you don’t mind that they killed Kenny! That bastard needed to die... 😏 the storyline is so damned good and the chemistries a perfect with each character but Damn why couldn’t she have her All?????? It makes me so sad but this is a definite recommend ❣️

Tough story

Portia is living a hard life. An abusive husband and few friends lead her to make some tough decisions. She becomes friends with people that most of society would shy away from. However they become her lifeline and give her a new lease on life. Tough to get through but Portia is a survivor first and foremost.

First time reading this author! What a way to start! If you’re looking for the typical MC read, this isn’t it! However, this book had so many twists and turns that really kept my attention. Loved this book and be prepared for the ride. The ending sucked from my perspective, but maybe we don’t know everything yet!

Loved it

This is a great start to a series. Down trodden for so long Portia takes matters into her own hands. She meets George her gruff tough biker and the world starts to be a better place. She has his back whilst he has hers.

Who the hell is Lily? Is this just a reference to her favorite flower?

She goes from being an abused wife to bad ass biker bitch with a perfect gun aim/shot and this happens in a day. George first introduces her as his sister, then they are lovers...ok, no! At first I thought George would be more of a father figure and Jackson would be the man she is with

Too many words in this book, I don't need to know every detail of the food she is making.

The book isn't a happy ending either. Reading over the synopsis of the next few books and seeing "Annie" seems to be making her way through the guys and the fact the next book is 4.99 means I won't continue, this book doesn't make we want to spend my money

Fantastic read!

This starts out with Portia being abused by her husband and how she copes while she tries to understand him. It amazes me how strong and persevering some can be. Portia is soon learning how to handle and shooting guns. She finds there are a lot of things her husband had been hiding from her. When she meets George, her life changes in so many ways. I started reading the next
Series not realizing I should start here to get how it all starts. I really hated to leave that one and start this but I just had to know a few things first. I'm torn because it too is fantastic, but I'm finding I can't wait for the next one in this
Series.

Not the best, not the worst. Just meh.

For a MC book, this is a extremely lite on the MC content. The title says Lilly, leading female is Portia but is called Annie by the leading male. Like another reviewer pointed out, the characters are injured too often to actually ride their bikes more than a few times. Don't get me started on Portia trying to drive the Hummer.

Different MC story.

A little different MC read, more about each person, their lives, than danger, excitement, and loving. Annie(Portia) definitely has had a rough life, and is looking for her silver lining.

confused

This book had me so confused more often than not. I thought it would be a happily ever after but that was not the case. I don’t understand why you would torture a woman that way.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED CAPTIVATING ADVENTURE

Fantastic introduction into the heart and character growth of Lily and this biker group of colorful characters. A reader will find themself totally vested into the very heart of this drama.

The only real quarrel with this book is that I am definitely not the target audience. I thought this was a mystery novel but it turned out to be a bodice ripper (or I guess the current term is Romance Novel). It is pretty well written, and I suppose it would be interesting to fans of this genre, but I saw nothing to let me know that this was what I was getting from the title or the description.
