Jolie Dupree is prophesied to bring an end to the deadly war waging between the vampires and the Seelie court. Groomed from birth by a vicious mother, Jolie knows her future can only end in blood--and the murder of the one man she can't resist. Consumed with guilt, Jolie can't fight the lure of Nicolas Larkin, the vampire king. She returns to him over and over, every caress of pain and every stroke of pleasure drawing her deeper into the darkness. She must decide between the concrete and the chaos, the light and the dark, for her choice will tip the scales between good and evil, and quite possibly cost Jolie her soul.

Gothic Inspired Erotic Love Fest Par Excellence

Oh my giddy aunt! If Claiming Ecstasy is a taster for what this author is capable of in the hot stakes then bring on the main course and serve it now! I should explain that I am a little late in joining the Madeline Pryce Party, but I’m sure that a few late nights reading, with a glass of wine or two, will see me catching up with the author’s back list in no time!

Well back to what I thought of Claiming Ecstasy. I COULD say that it is a short, but scorching erotic paranormal romance and it certainly is, BUT this would be doing it a disservice. Instead, I would describe this intense and delicious read as a Gothic inspired love fest par excellence! It emphasizes not just the physical but the psychological link between the two protagonists/lovers, who, as magical beings, together represent the perfect balance between darkness and light. It is decadent, explicit and mind blowing!

I loved the settings, the emotion, the passion and the heat between this couple who seriously rocked my world! The read gave me enough insight into their backstories to give both them and the plot sufficient depth, painting a picture of two souls that are destined to be together but who political intrigue, guilt and past promises may doom. Never has a sexual surrender been so hard fought for and so deeply resisted and so deliciously portrayed. I strongly recommend it is read in one sitting (although reclining on my bed or a half dozen satin cushions are often my preferred positions). An ideal erotic read to indulge in if spending the night alone or in anticipation of a significant other. ;) A copy of this book was given to me by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review.

Get ready to fan yourself and wiggle in your seat as you read this STEAMY short by Madeline Pryce! I should have been warned on how hot this book was because I would have waited to read it in a more private setting *wink*

Jolie is faced with a choice. To kill or to love. And before you think "well, that's an easy one!"; it's not. Not when the one you love means the end to your people. As she is ravished by the irresistible Nicolas her mind is struggling between passion and purpose.

The things Nicolas do to Jolie to set her senses on fire are intense. There is one scene where they are drifting between the present and their mind that I found to be amazing! I never read anything like that and I applaud Madeline for setting up such a visual masterpiece for her readers!

5 *WINK* READ

My Review

Although this book was only 31 pages it was a great read! The book was well written had a good plot, and plenty of angst, and great sex scenes that capture you from the first page to the last! Ladies and Gents, be prepared for a great and dark read, and have your significant other nearby- you will need them or at least a BOB, after you read this!

Jolie, a princess of the Seelie Court has been ordered by her vicious mother to kill Nicolas the Vampire King. Jolie does not want nor thinks she can kill him: he is the only one who has been kind to her, and when she was 18, sneaked up to her bedroom and took her innocence. Nicolas knows that Jolie loves pain as much as she loves pleasure and only he can do this to her, time and time again Jolie goes to him for more, developing a taste of the darkness only he can give her.You have to read this book to find out,

1 If Jolie will kill Nicolas
2 Can Nicolas change her mind
3 What is the outcome
4 How pain and pleasure play a big part of this story.
5 if Jolie will claim the darkness or the light.

I have read 2 other books by Madeline entitled Dark Cravings and Dark Innocence, which were equally as good and captivating.
I loved this story and gave it 5***** stars!

Erotic stories are quickly becoming must reads for me. I had no idea just how good they were. Sure, there are lots of graphic sex scenes and language, but there’s also some great stories to go with the steaminess.

So, it started out with hot, erotic sex right from the first page. Knowing this was a short novella, I was thinking uh-oh. But I pressed on, just knowing the author was going somewhere with this. And she was.

A vampire king and a fae princess are the only characters you’ll be meeting in this book. There’s mention of Jolie’s abusive mother, but you’ll not meet her. She’s mentioned to help you understand why Jolie is so torn in her decision.

She’s destined to kill the vampire king to save her entire species, but it’s not going to be easy to kill the one who pleasures her to the point of insanity.

Nicolas is determined to own Jolie. He’s not nice. He’s cruel and demanding and such a manipulator. He’ll use every power he possesses to control her.

Jolie’s equally determined to maintain control. She’ll not be owned. She’ll not be dominated. She’ll not give in.

The really wild thing is, this war of wills is being played out during a marathon sex duel. Each is determined to make the other give in, to make the other reach that climatic moment first.

If you like explicit sex along with intense internal battles, you’ll love Claiming Ecstasy. I applaud Madeline for being able to make me blush and agonize over this battle of wills. I wanted a happy ending, but I wasn’t sure which ending would make me happy. After finishing the story, I wanted more. I wanted to know where it went from there. Whether the ending was good for Nicolas and Jolie or a disaster.

Thank you Madeline! Knowing it was an Ellora’s Cave Quckie, I cued up Claiming Ecstasy last night to read before bed. As expected, I got an extremely erotic read that was the perfect fodder for sweet dreaming. Nicholas is a seriously hot alpha male with off-the charts sex appeal, who also happens to be the vampire king. Jolie is the Seelie Princess who was promised to Nicholas centuries before her birth and while she wasn’t to become his until her 21st birthday, the same day her mother had conditioned her since birth as the day she would kill him, he began visiting her on her 18th birthday and seducing her with pleasure and pain. Claiming Ecstasy takes place on Jolie’s 21st birthday as she struggles with who her allegiance is to – her dark lover who gives her pleasure with pain or her people, the Fey, who hate and shun her. Of course, this entire mental battle rages on as Nicholas proceeds to give her the best orgasm of her life, claiming her both mentally and physically. Does Jolie kill Nicholas or does she join him as his dark Queen? If you enjoy erotica, then give Claiming Ecstasy a read to find out … but be sure to do it in private, because Ms. Pryce’s sex scenes will leave you squirming.

Claiming Ecstasy is sinful and scorchingly hot. This quickie truly is made for one sitting - the plot is easily understandable and all loose ends are tied before the end. The reader will have no problem being completely engulfed in this forbidden love affair wrought with hot sex, a little BDSM (but not too much), and potential for deceit.

The author starts this quickie right in the middle of a mind blowing sex scene between the Seelie court's fairy princess, Jolie, and her prophesied mate, Nicholas, the vampire king. Only, Jolie's mother, the Seelie queen has different plans for the destined pair. Will Jolie fulfill her mother's demands or will she disobey and stay by the side of the man she wants to be with forever?

The intensity that sits within the pages of Claiming Ecstasy brings pleasure, pain, and internal battles of will to whole new levels. The author does a superb job combing kink, control, and internal struggles together in what is probably one of the best sexually charged short stories I've read. The sex is unbridled but written in such a way that it almost seems elegant instead of raunchy. It's explicit but tasteful (I've read some really bad attempts at sex scenes).

Be mindful when making the decision to grab a copy of Claiming Ecstasy - about 95% of the novel takes place in the bedroom. I do, however, recommend this Quickie by Ellora's Cave if you LOVE steamy sex and lots of it!!

Madeline did it again! This “quickie” book is amazing! If I had never read one of Madeline’s books before, the first sentence in this novella would have me love her! “Nicolas Larkin’s hot breath drifted across the back of my neck with each thrust of his cock.” Jolie knows her future is to kill Nicolas, but she loves him. What will she do? You have to read this to find out!

Characters: The author has a way of writing that you just connect instantly to the characters in the book and you feel as if you are in the middle of all the action.

Sex: hot, hot, hot

Religious: no

Would I recommend to others: yes

More than one book in the series: ?

Genre: Paranormal/Erotica

Would I read more by this author: yes

If you want a quick, hot, dark read then this Ellora's Cave Twilight Quickie is the story for you. It's only just over 30 pages long but draws you in and makes you forget that it is indeed a short novella. It was very easy to lose yourself in the raw sexuality of the story.

The hero is sex personified, Irish and a vampire. The heroine is a strong willed Seelie Princess. The passion that explodes from the first line will hook you and keep you till the end. Hold on for a fast, no holds barred ride.

If you are new to this author like me, it will give you a taste of her style which is dark and gritty but undoubtably sexy. This novella has me wanting to read more from Madeline Pryce.

This gothic romance really drew me in. I mean, a somewhat evil ancient vampire and the sweet Seelie princess. Jolie can't resist the pull of Nicolas Larkin, the vampire king. Jolie is the child of a prophecy, destined to bring an end to the war between vampire's and the Seelie court.

Jolie has a choice, give in to nicolas and the darkness, or kill the vampire king.

This is a super steamy, somewhat quick read!

OMGosh!! This book starts off hard core hot and steamy and doesn't stop until you put it down panting looking for an iceberg to cool you off! Madeline Pryce has a way of writing that puts you in the book and boy what a wonderfully naughty place to be! A hot vampire king and his Seelie lover fighting for dominance and much much more.

Jolie Dupree is the Seelie courts princess, sweet deal right? Not really. She has been told since birth she is to be given to a vampire king who she must kill. Her mother is truly evil and vicious in making sure she does what she wants her to. When the day comes and Jolie must choose to do as her mother asks it is a fight on many levels and in many ways, physically, emotionally, and mentally. Will she be able to kill him or will she be the one to die, because one of them has to.

Nicolas Larkin the vampire king seduced Jolie at the age of 18, quietly staking his claim. She has always been his and he will keep what is his, but who will win in the game of wills? He relies on his cunning and skill to be the victor and make sure he succeeds and he gets to keep his Jolie.

With so many things against them the battle lines are drawn but which side is Jolie on and what will happen after her and Nicolas's struggle and what about her mother's army? This book is steamy, it is dark, and it is so fantastic it really makes me hungry to know more about them and what is going to happen to them now.

Phew! Claiming Ecstasy may be short but it is raw, intense and packed full of awesomeness! Although the novella revolves around a forbidden relationship and the way in which Nicholas and Jolie strengthen their bond during the act of sex, Madeleine Pryce ensures that there is a strong paranormal element in the plot.
Nicholas is a vampire, Jolie is a fae princess and despite the fact there is a prophecy regarding their future together, to be welcomed back to the Seelie court, from which she has been exiled, Jolie has to kill her lover. However, during the course of the story Jolie admits the depth of her feelings for Nicholas and the disgust she feels at the task she has been given. The reader is able to sympathize with Jolie as her emotions for Nicholas conflict with her loyalty to her species and her longing to return home.
Nicholas is portrayed as a dominant male who wants to possess and claim Jolie as his mate, yet I was unconvinced by his declarations of love which appear clouded by lust and his desire for power.
For fans of erotica this book is a short and addictive read; Madeline Pryce's writing is fast paced and the sex scenes steamy, but the plot has plenty of substance beyond just sex.
Definitely a recommendation from me!

Ok Wow! Where is that fan? Maybe some ice or a cold shower! Talk about hot! Madeline Pryce has done it again with another sizzling, hot, paranormal, erotic romance. From the first paragraph till the last I was completely enthralled. Dark, gritty, and unabashedly naughty, this book is not for the faint of heart, but for those who like their romance wicked, slightly dirty, and with nice sharp teeth. It is sensuous to the nth degree, with power, sex, lust, and even love all wrapped up in a battle between duty, desire, and need. The sexual tension is balanced exquisitely through the tug-of-war of Jolie’s emotional conflict. Just as the suspense and pace are fine-tuned like a perfectly strung bow. For such a short read this book is wonderfully developed. The world and characters are nicely flushed out. I can’t say enough about this passionate dark fairytale. Except do yourself a favor and buy it now.

Did I mention that I absolutely, positively, loved this book? Well I did, love it that is. Definite 5 stars! I can't wait for her next book.

Maddie is a kitty queen at developing the sultry, naughty stuff. I'm positive that when you grab any of the Dark Series books, her upcoming book Crimson Sins, or not yet released novella Wicked Magic--you can see that she has a certain style that marks her love scenes as her own and generally leaves you very satisfied. There are some people who can give you that sense of earthiness and natural carnality of the best type of down and dirty which makes you realize that love isn't just luke-warm caresses and those awful cliched words so many other authors insert in at the worse times, "ravaging, ravishing, delight, enthrall and lovely". You will never see Madeline's men say this banal bullcrap. Her beefcakes are 100% manly meat who say dirty things that you only hope would be whispered to you and your momma never overheard and you deeply wish everyone of which would be followed through on.

"I was a liar. A whore. A harbinger of death. Everything my mother had told me I'd grow up to be."

Jolie Dupree, Princess of the Seelie Court was promised to the Vampire King, Nicolas Larkin, before she was even born. On her 21st birthday was to be her coupling with Nicolas. In a desperate act Nicolas deceived the Queen and stole her daughters virginity at 18. The Queen knowing of this deceit punished Jolie not only physically but mentally as well. Jolie was destined to bring the downfall of the Vampire King. But the warring in her mind, body, and soul keep her desperate for him.
Will the mental scares of her mother's words have Jolie following through with her destiny or will she succumb to Nicolas' power and offer?

This is a Hot no hold barred from the first page quickie read and one that could easily become a series. I didn't want to read the last page and end the story. I want more from these characters. From the outstanding author whose words create wonderful worlds to be devoured.

The publisher says that this is a quickie and meant to be devoured in one "sinfully delicious sitting." This is no joke. This short is one long, erotic, mind-blowing sexual encounter. The writing is intense, the scene is graphic. Madeline Price has a talent for writing erotic interludes and she throws everything in this one with gusto. There is a lot of panting, groaning and thrusting. The reader is dropped in the midst of one potentially fatal encounter and every movement is effort has meaning.

Struggling between what she knows is her role and what she feels in her heart (and other naughty places), Jolie is conflicted. She has been involved Nicolas but he is both her damnation and salvation. The reader feels the agony of both the physical encounter and the emotional dilemma.

Madeline Pryce's imagination, creativity, and writing brings me back to her work. This is just a little dip into the erotica pool when you want a spicy read.

Thank you to the author and publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I don't read many short stories but this has to be the hottest quickie I have ever came across. From the very first sentence you are brought into an intense, mind-blowing sexual encounter.

Jolie Dupree is destined to bring an end to the war between the Seelie Court and Vampires. She has one major problem, the man she loves is who stands in her way of fulfilling the prophecy that has been placed upon her.

Nicolas Larkin is a Irish Vampire King and Master of Sex. He wants to claim Jolie as his own. Nicolas uses his power and seductive ways to take Jolie to a world of passion beyond her deepest darkest fantasies.

This quickie is one intense, spectacular sexual engagement. The passion between Nicolas and Jolie is off the charts. I have read plenty of Erotica and this one has one particular scene that is unique and page-melting HOT. If you are looking for a quick read filled with a lot of heat this is the book for you.

Review for Claiming Ecstasy
I received this for a honest review from Madeline. This was a "quickie"read it took me all of an hr if that to read it. It was my first book by her and it definitely wont be my last. She had me hooked from the first sentence “Nicolas Larkin’s hot breath drifted across the back of my neck with each thrust of his cock.” Jolie is in love with Nicolas but she knows the future of her people requires her to kill him. He says he loves her and will take care of her but does she believe him? What will she do??? Have to read it to find out.

I connected right away with the characters and Madeline makes you feel as if you are the lead in the book. As I read it I felt as if I was Jolie.
I would so recommend this book. Its a Erotic/paranormal with lots of sex!! better be prepared for a cold shower.

I received an ARC (advanced reader copy) of Claiming Ecstasy before the release, and I have now bought it from my favorite vendor to ensure Madeline keeps writing stories like this! My love affair with Vampire Romance (erotic or otherwise) is borderline obsessive. Over the years I've become very picky about those I put on my Keeper Shelf. Madeline Pryce has become one of my favorite authors in the genre, and this book is one of the reasons why.

No one captures the seductive line of life and death in vampire romance like Madeline Pryce. Claiming Ecstasy was everything I love about the genre: dark, dangerous, sexy, and the fight for survival against a predator who could take everything, but give you so much more in return. Another incredible winner.

It's a short read with a lot of delicious sex, but every second of it is necessary to the plot and wicked.

I'd love to see more of the Seelie Court and their eternal war against the Vampires.

Cute story. I liked the background (even though it is displayed during their sexual interludes) I was still not able to really connect with Nicolas and Jolie. it was just too short. I would like to see the constant struggles she had to take to keep going back to Nicolas. It mentions their first meeting when she was 18 but not much of it it anything afterwards. Besides them being fated..what drew them to one another..what made him want her and what would he do to keep her. It had some great sex scenes, well it was just one sex scene..an ongoing one lol. I just wished i could have seen a deeper connection betweeen them. When it appeared it was getting that way, it stopped abruptly.
But, The ideas presented here would make a great novel or series. There is alot that can be added to the storyline to get one going. Not sure if this author has already published based on the ideas presented in this one. I will be looking more into her.

Madeline Pryce
A true quickie of erotic proportions, Madeline Pryce does it again with her new title, Claiming Ecstasy.

The battle Jolie finds herself in between honor and love is a constant through the story. Which will she choose? Or perhaps can she have both?

Nicolas was delicious. A straight up Alpha with a dominant side and only one want, Jolie.

This story will heat you up quick then keep you in a slow burn until BAM! you burst in flames from the hotness!!

Just perfect for the short on time reader but satisfying enough for the lovers of long novels, Claiming Ecstasy by the AMAZING Madeline Pryce is a hit that no one should miss out on!

Another 5 star read!! Starts and ends with sex well that's an erotic story right? But there's a story line that's told of what's expected from her and what she wants, him, and you have your vamp alpha male and fae and feelings. And I want more! I knew it was a short story so was prepared but as with all Madeline's stories when they're done I search my kindle for more. So if you love quickies then you'll love this because this is an AMAZING quickie!!!!

This book is remarkably hot and full of sex but you also get a story filled with emotions, guilt, love, trust - it's got it all. So much covered in such a short story - I'm always impressed by authors that can pull that off. Deliciously decadent, like a dark chocolate truffle, Pryce brings together these two characters in a lovely balance of dark and light that is highlighted with a physical and mental connection that serve only to ramp up the steam factor.

Jolie is the light side, a Seelie princess with a controlling mother that demands her relationship end in Nicholas’ death. Nicholas is the vampire King: Irish, delicious and drawn to the darker side of life. From the first sentence to the last, Pryce does a lovely job of comparing and contrasting the natures of these two, while making the darker side feel decadent and deliciously daring for Jolie.

In just over 30 pages, these two will capture your attention as they interact in several erotic scenes that combine kink, control, inner turmoil and a healthy dose of imagery to bring the reader plenty of vicarious thrills as the interplay between them sucks you into the story and Jolie’s choice. Ultimately, this is a choice for Jolie that is between her mother’s desires for revenge and her own desire to keep Nicholas forever.

I received an eBook copy of the title from the publisher for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

WOW! Pryce is Right.....On with this one that is! This is a great novella/short story!! A very different type of story that includes a Vampire King and a Seelie Princess and an old prophecy that one must die by…. Well, I don’t want to say too much and give it away. It really is a fantastic erotic paranormal story. I love erotic stories that also have an excellent story in with the hot stuff. Madeline's take on this paranormal genre it very different and wonderful. And of course the hot stuff doesn't hurt either! LOL If you are looking for a short, hot, wonderful story, than this is the one for you!

I really enjoyed this short, but hot, story from Madeline Pryce!

The fabulous Fae court intrigue gives it just the right amount of depth it needs. I couldn't get enough of Nicolas and Jolie's intensely dangerous relationship!

And the ending! What a fabulous shocker! I very much hope that she turns this into a series because I think there is much more wonderful story, just waiting to be told!

Five shiny stars for this lovely read, that made me upset more than a few parents in the school car line, when I forgot my surroundings and didn't move forward in a timely manner!

Claiming Ecstasy by Madeline Pryce is a short, sinfully and scorchingly hot read!

The characters are very well written, so well written that they felt real for me. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering which way the story would go next.

I would definitely recommend this quick, very steamy read. I look forward to reading more from the fabulous Ms. Pryce!
