Things are off, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Some things, however, are the same. For example, the sex with Matt is just as nuclear and consistent as it always has been.

Still… I feel like I’m holding onto Matt with my fingertips, like he’s on the verge of slipping away and I don’t know what to do.

When I started these Legal Affairs, I had no way of knowing the depth of feeling that would become involved. I had no way of knowing this man could shatter my existence.

I don’t want to be hurt, so I’m grasping hard and I can only hope that he wants me enough to hang on just as tight.

Loved this last part!

I really like Sawyer Bennett's writing, it's damn engaging and she writes absolutely incredible characters. I really enjoyed the ending of this series/book thingie.

If not for the really short books (chapter thingies), I'd have given this book 4.5, maybe more. It was really cute and lovely and the two MCs had great chemistry and a wonderful story. It's worth trying out, even though you have to get over the small, annoying stuff.

MATT FUCKING CONNOVER

This was the conclusion to this great series. Loved all the books so far.

Mac and Matt are still “together”, at least in private. But Mac feels Matt is pulling away from her.

I used to work in Law in my previous job. Love reading stories about lawyers and courtrooms….

Overall, a very enjoyable read.

4 Summation with a Positive Conclusion Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
This was the last of a six-part series I was turned onto by wonderful Mo. She directed me to it and I had a great time reading through all of the parts.

He was a sexual star...she was at first just curious and then caught in the trance he put her in. Every time they were together...she would get wonky...forget to hold onto the questions she wanted to be answered....the magic dick caused the fuzzies...

When she tells him she needs more; more than just the physical...he starts to pull away. He is scared to reveal, to allow his heart to feel.

It is the last part, we have experienced it all and are due to see if...
Will he rise and become the man she wants...or will she be strong enough to leave and look back fondly on this time.

Sawyer Bennett gave this series enough to keep me hooked and interested. There was chemistry, dirty talk (always a favorite), real-life complications and enough legalese to make it seem actual...

Oh, we have a gift coming...We get Matt's POV on all of this and fingers crossed, it works.

Sweet baby Jesus! I was not expecting Legal Affairs to be this good! I just devoured this in one sitting and I still need more. I still need another volume. Can I? Holy cow. I am completely in love with Matt and Mckayla's story. I was so attached to them that I even started plotting their own epic happy ending in my head but guess what? They actually had the most epic happy ending of ever! I just wish the epilogue had an extra 100 pages more. Seriously. I dare you to read this and not fall in love.

This is a review of the whole series. ❤

I know some might say this type of story has been written many times. Sexy hot lawyer guy targets a beautiful woman for nothing more that satisfying his sexual needs. And yeah I guess that is what this series is about, but I have to say Sawyer Bennett writes in a way that it didn’t feel like it was a repeat of a plot I have read before. There was something different about these books that had me turning the pages like a crazy women just to find out what happens to Matt and McKayla. There was real life things happening all around them and for me that made a bit different from the others.

When we first meet Matt and McKayla in vol. 1 Objection, I instantly LOVED Matt. He could definitely be an ass but he was also hot as hell! There was no confusing what he was looking for. He didn’t mince words. He wanted a women that would offer him nights of intense sex and nothing more.

 photo matt_zps0ee61a49.jpg

McKayla (Mac) was great too. She too knew what she was getting into when she agreed to a date with Matt and she was ready to step out of her comfort zone and give in to one night of incredible sex. McKayla seeks out her inner slut and operates on inpulse. :)

 photo Mckayla_zps9847abfe.jpg

From the beginning Matt was in control of how his relationship with Mac was going to go. After their first meeting and night of amazing sex, he was a bit shocked to find that Mac would be working for his law firm. He makes an awful attempt at resisting Mac and eventually gives in to the intense attraction to her. Mac isn’t complaining of course and thus begins their tryst.

These two were insatiable. Neither one could get enough of the other on a sexual level. Each and every installment we get some pretty HOT sex scenes. It could be an exchange of looks or mere words spoken that sparks something. Their attraction to each other was intense.

 photo LegalAffairsCollage_zps4c118f27.jpg

As the series continues we get some conflicts at work and other male interests which leads to some mixed signals, tempers to rise and unexpected emotions to surface.

Then something happens in Mac’s life that pulls out a softer side of Matt. A side that Mac always thought was there and it gives her a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe their relationship can become more than just sex.

Matt has been married before and things ended horribly. With a bitch of an ex-wife and a friend that betrayed him, he has absolutely no interested in a relationship. But when Mac takes over control in their relationship he is faced with having to make a choice.

A choice is made and things begin to change but as much as Matt wants to have more or give more of himself it just isn’t easy for him to do. Mac fears he is slipping away and doesn’t know what to do about it.

I think I will leave it at that. Book 6 is the conclusion and where you will find out what will come of these two. For me it was a perfect ending to an fantastic series.

I will say I loved both of them throughout the entire series. Neither one got on my nerves. Each book was a perfect progression. The other characters in the book added the perfect level of tension and I have to say there were parts were Matt did a little squirming and I loved that too. Add in the bitch of a wife, Mac’s bff Macy, and little Gabe and you get an AMAZING series!!

Do yourself a favor and pick this entire series up. Each book is a quick, easy and sexy read. You will love it!! ❤.

Although I am not a fan of short novellas, these series were great! Of course it helped that I didn't have to wait for each part, but I was able to read this as one long book. Mostly, I liked how each short novella ended on a surprising note - not cliffy but a conclusion with an open ending. Loved the hero and heroine, heroine a bit more though, because this time hero was the stubborn ass in the relationships. He had very understandable reasons but still I didn't like how he continue hurting Mac. Because she was awesome. I liked their connection and secondary characters were very likable too. Definitely a recommend +++

**minor spoilers**

EVERYTHING HAS TO COME TO AN END...

The Legal Affairs series was a total

for me.

In the final installment Affirmation Matt has to overcome his "issues" and learn how to trust again.

I have to admit, I was really afraid that MATT & MAC wouldn't make it. Luckily, MATT finally came to his senses and opened up to MAC.

BECAUSE...

If you're looking for something hot & steamy, an alpha male hero to die for and a very likeable, funny and witty heroine..don't look any further, cause you've found it in this fantastic series!

Mac and Matt haven't had an easy go at their relationship. From a one-night stand, to being employer/employee, to lovers and finally to a relationship... but Matt is slowly closing himself off. Mac can see this and no longer ignore it. She knows she has a choice to make, one that will change her life but also require her to give up Matt. Maybe Mac walking away is just what Matt needs so he can realize what his failure to let go will cost him.

Bravo Sawyer. A utterly captivating serial series that not only provided two amazingly written main characters but a story line that stayed fresh. The sexual chemistry between these two was executed flawlessly, there was no way to miss the spark that was between these two. Matt's character transformation was done in a way that did not leave you with whiplash, he took his time and although he might have appeared so different by the end of this story, you saw glimpses of this Matt as the story progressed, he just hid it really well. As for Mac, although she wavered with her relationship with Matt, it felt realistic. She may have run off a few times and ran back just as fast - but rather than seeing this as a yo-yo move, it felt natural. She fought her feelings, her attraction but tried to protect her heart even when it was impossible to say no.

A fantastically written serial that delivered entirely. I can't wait to read Matt's POV throughout this affair!

okay , I have to say that I’m writing this with a huge smile on my face, which BTW it’s starting to causing me some pain on it, as well.
So, yeah ! we had the whole womanizer, only sex no attachments thing; which actually: was nothing new to read!. But I gotta say that the narrative from Mac’s POV is sublime, it really kept me smiling all the freaking time!, and wanting to kill Matt and his ex-bitch wife over a few times, but what can I say ? We couldn’t blame him after what he went through, right?
It really did made me smile and laugh
I’ll fill you in tomorrow but don’t you dare to say a word right now, because I’m getting ready to get fucked like a queen and I don’t want you to ruin it.

So basically I had a great time with this series, and even if we do get that the guy is a really hot sex god in the bed, there were no such great scenes that depict that… for anyone who is interested on those, please!! Go straight to ----> “UNCIVILIZED” , also by the same author.
description
description
Yeah! That good, If I recall correctly

And even thought I got myself into this series because it was Sawyer Bennett’s work-and lets face it, if you have read Uncivilized, you’d read any book that she publishes- and because they were short, and also because I was kind of expecting something smothering hot…I should say that this book didn´t disappoint me at all.. it gave me a great time reading about a refreshing relationship, with all the highs and downs.
So there’s nothing much to say, except that she really loves the happy ending.
I also want you within reach of me at all times because I love you to fucking death

And that was the tale of Matt fucking Connover, ladies and gentlemen

Emotionally drained!!!

It seemed to Mac that Matt had changed quite a bit, a little withdrawn, since she first met his ex-wife at his home. They were still happy with their sex lives but Mac could feel something was different with Matt. He seemed more aloof like he had something on his mind.

This part made me fraught and exhausted.

But in the end, it didn't matter to me because...

"I.Need.You.

I need your smile, your touch, and your wit. I need your tenderness, your brilliance, and your common sense. I need you to be my champion, and I need you to want to come home to me every night. I need all of those things... desperately. I think I might die without them."

Oh, my sweet Matt!

Alright, it was cheesy but I don't care. I liked it anyway!

This was the icing on the cake for this series.

Between the anguish and love of Mac &Matt this book #6 had everything and Sawyer Bennett did a wonderful job combining all the chapters into a finally. This book started off with "he loves me , then no he doesn't" yes a lot of anguish towards the end but Matt fines forgiveness in everyone and finally sees the light and know there is only darkness without Mac.

Just like all of sawyers books, easy flow as they hold your interest up to the very end couldn't put it down!

Great read! I really enjoyed this series and read most of it in one day. This final installment in the series was soooooo good. My heart was in my throat the whole time while my stomached flittered with nerves.

Loved Matt and McKayla and I would say this series was perfect but for one thing... In my opinion, McKayla gave Matt WAAAAYYY too many chances... more than I think he deserved. I wanted to punch him in the throat several times while reading this series. In the end he didn't so much win me over but rather Sawyer Bennett's writing and storytelling did. She completely sucked me into these character's worlds so much so that I felt sick with the stress of everything McKayla was going through and feeling. Don't mind me... I'll just be heading into book hangover mode now.

Loved it!!!

Well, that happened! Matt gave up, I mean, he totally wimped out. At least McKayla stood up to him and would not settle and when she wouldn't he really wimped out and transferred her to his partner. Well, what's a girl to do when that happens? Resign with a two week notice, that's what. Not only resign but she and Cal combine forces and open their own firm. That will show him! Or will it? Soul searching begins NOW! Great ending!!!

I feel like I'm grasping onto Matt, like he's on the verge of slipping away, and that is causing me a lot of anxiety.

Oh Wow! The final installment to this hot lawyers in love series is finally here! This one had my emotions all over the place. As much as I have come to love Matt recently, I wanted to kick him in the balls multiple times during this one. Sure I know, cut the guy some slack...he has issues, it is not easy for him, he is trying, blah blah blah...Excuses did not ease my disappointment in him at times. But DAMN that man is still hot, sexy, and magnetic. He is hard to resist even when he reverts or closes off. He is a multifaceted conflicted man. But even when he frustrated me, I still wanted him to find true happiness with Mac. And the times when you could see his underlying vulnerability and emotion just did me in.

And Mac. She has been spunky and sassy from the beginning, but she just gets more confident and is now pretty bad ass in her own right. I loved seeing her growth during this series and she rocked my socks off in this one. She has come into her own and is not taking any less than she deserves.

There are some other characters kind of in the middle of their situation and causing drama. One was a new source of conflict, and a couple others had contributed to some of Matt's past issues. All of it swirls around causing more issues for Matt and Mac to deal with and damaging the fragile relationship they had attained.

We are f**king perfect in bed together. Absolutely perfect. It just sucks that it's the only way we seem to be compatible.

Matt has to do some soul searching about his life and figure out what he can realistically handle and what he really needs to be happy...and hope that when he figures it out that Mac is still willing to give him another chance (How many chances is that now? I lost count.)

This was a roller coaster of an installment and a perfect finale. I was tense, pissed off, turned on, laughing, smiling, and swooning at alternate times. These two have such chemistry and such a witty rapport when things are good. And when things are bad, it sends them (especially Matt) over the edge. But he lacks self awareness at times about what he really feels and needs. And poor Mac often gets caught trying to figure out where his head and heart is at. I was totally enthralled and had to keep flipping pages trying to see how it was all going to end.

This series was so much fun! It was was my first serial and I was not sure I would be patient enough of if I would be able to remember the details after a two week break. But I am a huge Sawyer Bennett fan so was willing to give it a try. And I found that I loved it! Each piece had a lot of substance and interesting twists. I did not feel cheated at all. Each installment kept me engaged, excited, and wanting more. I became really attached to the characters. They were well developed and likable(well most of the time when they were not making me mad or frustrating me).The plot had enough twists and turns in the story and it all came together to be such a feisty, fun, emotional, humorous, and sexy read. And even though we got resolution, I was sad to see it end. I would not mind returning with these characters in the future and maybe seeing more of their friends Macy or Cal. They were also interesting and had unique back stories. I highly recommend this series. You can grab the first one Objection for free and I bet you will get hooked like I did.

Thanks to Sawyer Bennett for providing me with a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. Will be posted at Reviews by Tammy and Kim.

REVIEW: LEGAL AFFAIRS Affirmation is the final instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s adult, contemporary, erotic Legal Affairs serialized storyline. Affirmation is the culmination of a forbidden relationship between power attorney Matt Connover and lawyer McKayla Dawson. Following the recent encounter with his ex wife and Mac’s declaration of love, Matt’s demeanor reverts back to the cold and aloof alpha male that Mac encountered during her first days at the firm.

Affirmation plays on the definition about the truth; to affirm or acknowledge the truth; a declaration and, in this, the truth about love; the truth about a betrayal; and the truth about the relationship between Matt and Mac. Sawyer Bennett pulls the reader into a storyline where walls are erected between two people when the truth about the past and the present collide. Matt must face the demons from his past-demons he blames for the demise of his family and the demise of a friendship; and Mac must face the reality that walking away may be the hardest thing she will ever have to do.

LEGAL AFFAIRS is a serialized storyline that is sensual in its’ presentation. A story about two people who enter into a relationship with no expectation but find themselves pulled into the maelstrom of lust, love and forbidden desires. Sawyer Bennett grabs your attention from the very start. The reader is pulled into a roller coaster of emotional heartbreak and unrepentant desire; a relationship fueled by the anxiety of prohibited lust, the power and control and, the prospect of falling in love against the odds.

Throughout the series, the world building continues as we encounter Matt’s past, his vulnerabilities and the possibility of a happily ever after. The storyline is written from McKayla’s POV. We are privy to her inner most thoughts and desires; her pain at heartbreak; and the decision to walk away. And in the end, we will get our happily ever after, but not before rejection and saying good bye pushes one man over the edge and the realization that what he wants and what he needs is—McKayla Dawson—in his life, his heart and his forever.
