2.5 Stars!!
IMO everyone acted like they were in high school and not in their 20s and 30s. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it was annoying more than anything.
The plot, the characters, the dialogue all seemed juvenile and cheesy to me.

Gag, gag and gag!!
The story starts with Genevieve breaking up with her boyfriend once she finally realizes that he's gay. Gen decides that the "world is her oyster" and she's going to take a closer look at her life.
She goes out with her friends and apparently meets Lucas. And I say apparently because she wakes up the following morning, in his shirt...he's gone and she has no clue what happened the night before other than the text message left behind by "L".
Lucas is a former rock star. Gen is a painter. They start dating. And the rest of the book is filled with OTT silly antics involving Lucas' brothers and Gen's friends and sisters.
I thought there were WAY too many characters in this book. Between Lucas' 4 brothers (I think) and Gen's two friends and sisters I couldn't keep up. And it's apparent that several will be coupling up.
Not to mention it was insta-love between Lucas and Genevieve.
Honestly, I had to start skimming at around 40% and I wasn't loving it at that point. It just seemed to unfortunately go downhill from there.
IDK...this one just wasn't for me. Too many eye roll inducing moments. The sex was decently hot but it wasn't enough to save the story for me.

I had the pleasure of being picked as a Beta reader for "More Than I Asked For." I will admit I had serious reservations about reading the first book by a brand new author. I was pleasantly surprised. I ripped through the book in less than 2 days. It was almost impossible to put down. I could not get enough of Gen and Luc. I found their story to be fresh and different from many of the books that have burst onto the reading scene since "Fifty Shades of Gray." I loved the dynamic between all the friends. The diverse personalities and snarkiness made my mind wander of who might be the next couple in the series. This is going to be a series you'll easily get wrapped up in.

I got More Than I Asked For in this book. T.J. Tims did an amazing job. Not only does the author give readers a love story that is full of romance, steamy and hot sex, some D*** HOT MEN and secrets, we also got a lot of LOL moments. I kid you not! I cannot begin to say how much I enjoyed the story from start to finish. Even though there were misunderstandings between Genevieve and Lucas the author kept the humor going throughout the story. I laughed so much reading this book, I was crying. With all hilarious moments, we still get some angst and heavy topics in the story. Lucas’ and Genevieve’s relationship was sweet, intense and enjoyable. I was able to feel how well they were together and feel their connection.
Gen is a beautiful, smart, funny and artistic female character that did not have the ideal relationship with her parents. After breaking up with her boyfriend after finding out he used her to climb up the corporate ladder, her 2 best friends convince Genevieve to go Club Eloa. The best friends are really great and have such an open and witty friendship. At Club Eloa she sees this gorgeous man over in the VIP section, Lucas Alexander.
Lucas is hot, gorgeous, sexy and intense. He has a close relationship with his mother and siblings. He sees Gen and her friends at Club Eloa. The night progresses, only for Gen to wake up the next morning in a man’s shirt, not knowing how it got there and a text message from L. When Gen, realizes just who Lucas is, she wants nothing to do with him and his life style. Lucas is able to convince Gen to give him a chance. There is something special about her that he is drawn too, and BAM we HAVE A HOT ROMANCE. Lucas and Gen are able to merge both their lives together – both their friends and family get along great and let the good times roll. The banter between the friends, Lucas and Gen is hysterical.
“You just peed on me! Like a dog, Lucas. Focus. You are trying to mark your territory.”
“I’m fine with that. I’m a dog and I’m definitely peeing on you; figuratively, not literally.”
“Ouch! You bite me!”
“What is it with you women and your biting?”
“You get off of her right now or else.”
“Whoa there killer, no one wants the Chihuahua to bite.”
“How dare you do that to her!”
“I ought to kick your a**, you venereal disease toting c*** muncher.”
“I’m tiny, but I’ll kick your a** huge a** if you don’t apologize.”
“Poor Genni? She’s one of the trio of she-devils that almost got me expelled from sixth grade. She put a worm in my chocolate pudding in third grade. You should be taking my side. You’re my mother!”
I absolutely loved the chemistry and relationship between Gen and Luc. Yes they have this banter and humor about them but there was some pretty intense and serious moments. The way the author wrote these characters I could really relate to them. They felt like more than just a couple I was reading about in a book. It really felt like they were REAL. Luc was intense in his love and desire for Gen; just as Gen is with Luc.
“I want to learn what you like. If I do anything you are uncomfortable with, I need to know that you’ll be okay with telling me no. Do you want me to take your pants off and touch your p****? Say the words Genevieve, Tell me where you want me to touch you.”
“I want you’re hands down there. I want you to touch my p****.”
"The night I first met you changed everything. The first time you smiled at me, my whole world shock. I never want to go back because it shifted for the better. You are my reality. Every night since meeting you I fight sleep because you are better than any dream. I love you.”

Genevieve and Lucas are hiding secrets and keeping things from each other. When these secrets are revealed the foundation of their relationship is left shattered. Lucas and Genevieve will go through some hard times and you feel their turmoil and pain. Can Lucas and Genevieve get past the secrets? Will they both get their REALITY or lose it all? I cannot wait to get my hands of the next book in this series. Definitely one you want to grab and read you won’t be disappointed.

The first portion of my review has spoilers so I left it out. Once the book is out for awhile I'll add the rest. THIS IS A MUST READ!!!
....What happens next is a whirlwind love affair that has you laughing, crying, raging, and sighing throughout the book. T.J. Tims captures your attention with intrigue, mystery, heartbreak, and laughter. At times I wanted to throw my tablet through the wall, while at other times I wanted to crawl through it and give both characters a big squeeze. There were a ton of “Oh shit, I didn’t see that coming!” moments. I mean seriously, I can’t tell you how many times I was totally shocked by the events that were happening. The passion between Luc and Gen was scorching hot and made me want to find my own significant other to relieve the pressure ;)
I feel I have to reiterate the laughter part. I seriously have never laughed so hard while reading a book! This was absolutely an all-of-a-sudden-you-bust-out-laughing-book. There were several times I got strange faces from my husband. It was a back-to-back laughter fest throughout the book! There were several times I had to put my tablet down because I was laughing so hard.
I have to mention the side characters in my review because, well, they played their part so well that they deserved to be mentioned. I won’t go into names but I will say that each and every side character holds a place in my heart, some more than others. They all complimented each other and brought even more life to the book, not to mention they were all hilarious! They are, in part, what makes this book so good. I so look forward to reading each and every one of their stories.
I’m going to close this review by saying there is no way that I gave this book the justice it deserves. I can not recommend this book enough. T.J. Tims created a beautiful world based on family and friendship. It was extremely hard to put it down and I was terribly sad that it ended. This book will forever be implanted on my favorite shelf. It is a definite must read for everyone! I give More Than I Asked For 5 astounding, hot, and hilarious stars!

This is T.J. Tims' debut novel and she blew out onto the market with a flare!! I have fallen in love with her book! With the very first chapter I knew I was not going to be able to stop reading until the last page and I was right! She is witty and funny and her characters will keep you entertained when they aren't making you squirm in your seats.
The world is my Oyster
We first meet Genevieve Westley as she is sitting in a cafe waiting on her soon to be EX boyfriend. She is giving herself a pep talk and you get the idea that she is a bit of a door mat, that she lets people use her. We are quickly corrected of this assumption when she and her room mate/ best friends Hailey and Tara get together. We learn she just likes to live within her own mind and gets lost in her own thoughts or lost in her painting. To cheer Genevieve up all three have a night out at the club Eloa because they all three need it for various reasons.
Time to scope out some Oysters
We first meet Lucas Alexander at club Eloa while he is sitting in the VIP section, and the first meeting of the eyes between Lucas and Gen is enough to give her best friend Hailey fodder for a book! Many shots, a mans shirt and a text message later and this mad and hysterical love affair begins!!

Lucas draws Gen into his life and she meets his friends and family, where she fits perfectly as well as her best friends. Even when HUGE sparks fly between a couple of them as well as another kind of spark?
With secrets on Genevieve's side and Lucas not telling her who he really is this relationship has some great volatile moments you don't want to miss, but not all are amusing. This book does tug your emotions and make you love both of these characters. Not only will you love Lucas and Gen by the end of the book but you will be dying for Hailey, Tara and Lucas's friends stories next. The question is, when the secrets come out will they be able to hold up and stay together or will the secrets ruin it all?

The worst thing about this book is that it ended!!!
Gen is comfortable. That’s the best word for her. She’s fine on money. Has grandparents that adore her. She rooms with her BFF’s and that’s amazing. She’s an artist (painter) and her career is perfect. She is stuck. She’s with Brad at the beginning of the book but that quickly fizzles when she realizes he’s done nothing but quickly kiss her and hold her hand for six months. She wants someone that actually wants her. Passion.
In order to “get over” Brad her friends make her go out. She’s not all that into it but goes along determined to have fun. She feels someone watching her and finally catches his eye. Lucas…
Lucas is way more than meets the eye. He’s also had a very different childhood than Gen. He has brothers and a sister and a mom that adores them all. He���s an x-rock star still in the music business and he is HOT. Like seriously fine!! But he has his on share of demons.
Gen is going to have to break down and realize that she can love someone. That not all people will leave and betray you. Can she find that in Lucas? Will he be the person to complete her? Will she give Lucas her ultimate gift?
Lucas has father issues and a lot of guilt. He’s going to have to let go of his past failures in order to build something with Gen. With his business trust is going to be huge in their relationship. Will they find that in each other?
I LOVED the humor in this book. TJ Tims is FUNNY. The part where all the girls show up at Lucas’s house and end up in the back yard….the conversation between the friends had me laughing out loud! Then biting my lip in the very next HOT scene - WOW!

Biggest surprise of all... HUMOUR!! I have never laughed so much reading a book!! Some parts I laughed that much I had to read them out to my hubby so he didn't think I was just crazy!!
However.. In saying that, this book is written in a way that the hilarious humour does not take away from all the other elements of the book & I love that. It is just an added bonus.
The steamy sex scenes are just that.. STEAMY!
The romance is sweet, the angst will make you cry (I did)!
Lucas is smart, hot & an absolute sweetheart, but has daddy issues. Gen is beautiful intelligent & artistic, but has mummy issues...
T.J has put Gen & Lucas together to see what happens & the results are explosive, beautiful, sweet, steamy & funny.

I was lucky enough to get a free copy of this book to review for Crazy Cajun Book Addicts.
I really enjoyed this book by new author T.J Tims it had me hooked from the beginning and I had finished it within a day.
Genevieve has just split with her so called boyfriend Brad so to cheer her up her best friends take her for a night on the town leading to her meeting with ex Rockstar turned music mogul Lucas Alexander what starts is a whirlwind romance with a few tears and lots of laughter helped along by Lucas's brothers and Gen's friends. This book is part of a series but there is no cliff-hanger ending although the epilogue has left me very intrigued and can't wait for the next book.

Brilliant read. I'm totally shocked that this is a debut novel. I sat and read this in one sitting. Didn't want to put it down.
Gen is just great. She's decided she wants to live her life rather than hide from everything. This change in her starts with a bang when she meets Lucas. Now he's ever do hot. Great alpha male. The great secondary characters make this a great enjoyable read.
I'm certainly looking forward to reading more in this series... Especially if I get to read more about these characters.

I'm in love .. I author stalked..she promised me more books...so now I'm waiting!! outstanding cast of characters...I wanted to crawl in the book and live with them!

So I saw that this book was comedy/romance and I haven't had a real good hilarious romantic book in a while so I dove head first into this book hoping for at least a few good laughs.
I swear this book was like Saturday Night Live meets the Notebook in the best way possible. I laughed so hard in so many parts of this story, my favorite being the girls nights/guys night debacle. Luckily I refrained from in-taking any liquids while reading so I avoided any laughter spit-ups on my kindle.
So at the beginning we meet Gen short for Genevieve and her best buddies the loud mouth, no filter will kick your ass and send you to your grave, Tara, and the eccentric yet calming and creative and secretive writer Hailey. This hilarious trio of femme fatales decide that, Gen after having a not so horrible yet still depressing break-up needs to go out and have a little fun. And they do big time. Gen not only has fun but meets the smoking hot rock star turned music mogul Lucas Alexander and these two light up fireworks.
Soon after meeting Lucas, Gen is taken out of her comfort zone, forced to deal with the limelight of a famous BF and thrust into his rather large family...lets pause here for a minute though and take some time to examine Lucas' family. Now when I say family I mean five hot as hell brothers and a sinfully delicious best friend, yes ladies that is six, count them six gorgeous stud muffins in this book that you will end up wanting to devour. But I digress, back to the plot shall we. So Gen is thrust into this new relationship world and as her feelings for Lucas increase she is hit with stunning revelations about her own past and parents, ones that will leave her with a whole new perception of the word family.
As in any good romance story there is doubt, fear, heartache, angst, love, vulnerability and flaming passion in this book but what I really loved about this story was the pure enjoyment brought out by all the friendships and family ties that were fully explored in this book. There are so many good moments between the characters in this story and everything about the relationships felt so real and genuine. I was almost even slightly disappointed that the character's weren't real because they would be so freaking cool to hang out with LOL.
This book will have you laughing till there are tears in your eyes, melting till your heart is a puddle of mush, and standing in a cold shower just to cool your ladyparts. All in all a fabulous must read!!

This book is unpredictably, laugh out loud, sexy and all kinds of crazy rolled into one. You have your sexy, tattooed music mogul, his twin brother, his younger gorgeous brother who runs a club, and beautiful crazy women. That combination is a recipe for a great book; add in the amazing story line, secrets and you have a hit on your hands.
Genevieve is an artistic individual who lives inside her thoughts more than in the everyday world. She had a difficult childhood and lost her parents at the age of 14. She currently lives with her two best friends, they have known each other since kindergarten when they met on the playground one afternoon, when Gen taught them what an alibi was and how to use it. :-)
Genevieve is a girl dealing with the wounds of a break up after an 8 month relationship with a guy that turns out to be gay. They decide to have a girl’s night out to take their minds off of life and to help Genevieve get over the breakup. Genevieve had no idea what consequences her drunken night out with her friends could lead to. When she awoke to text message the next morning from Unknown, she didn’t have any idea what had happened.

I'm not able to put my full review up as it has spoilers and I really don't want to spoil it for anyone.
....What happens next is a whirlwind love affair that has you laughing, crying, raging, and sighing throughout the book. T.J. Tims captures your attention with intrigue, mystery, heartbreak, and laughter. At times I wanted to throw my tablet through the wall, while at other times I wanted to crawl through it and give both characters a big squeeze. There were a ton of “Oh s***, I didn’t see that coming!” moments. I mean seriously, I can’t tell you how many times I was totally shocked by the events that were happening. The passion between Luc and Gen was scorching hot and made me want to find my own significant other to relieve the pressure ;)
I feel I have to reiterate the laughter part. I seriously have never laughed so hard while reading a book! This was absolutely an all-of-a-sudden-you-bust-out-laughing-book. There were several times I got strange faces from my husband. It was a back-to-back laughter fest throughout the book! There were several times I had to put my tablet down because I was laughing so hard.
I have to mention the side characters in my review because, well, they played their part so well that they deserved to be mentioned. I won’t go into names but I will say that each and every side character holds a place in my heart, some more than others. They all complimented each other and brought even more life to the book, not to mention they were all hilarious! They are, in part, what makes this book so good. I so look forward to reading each and every one of their stories.
I’m going to close this review by saying there is no way that I gave this book the justice it deserves. I can not recommend this book enough. T.J. Tims created a beautiful world based on family and friendship. It was extremely hard to put it down and I was terribly sad that it ended. This book will forever be implanted on my favorite shelf. It is a definite must read for everyone! I give More Than I Asked For 5 astounding, hot, and hilarious stars!

More Than I Asked For is a sweet, funny, and light read perfect for a relaxing weekend. There were moments where I giggled and a few where I felt bad for what these characters were going through.
Lucas and Genevieve met when they least expected it. Hell, Genevieve didn't even remember it all that well. But as they got to really know each other, you could tell they were a perfect match. They were what they both needed in their lives to feel complete.
Genevieve's life changed in more ways than one. Quite literally, actually. And what I enjoyed about her character was how she handled all those changes. She wasn't whiny or annoying, but rather took things as they came and reacted in a very mature manner. Her and Lucas' relationship was very loving and swoon-worthy. There were times where things got a little bit angsty and others where things got very HOT.
Something I really enjoyed about this book was the chemistry between ALL the characters -- not just the Lucas and Genevieve. Their siblings/best friends were quite funny! They were all more like a fun and crazy family rather than just a group of friends. I loved their interactions and how well they all seemed to get along and support each other no matter what. I am very much looking forward to the next installment in this series. Can't wait to see what T.J. Tims has up her sleeve.

Gen is my favorite new female! She reminds me of myself. Once she decides to hold nothing back and grab the bull by the horns she really runs with it. I love that she speaks what is on her mind no matter how embarrasing it may be. She really is much stronger than she gives herself credit for. With all of the twists and turns that are thrown her way she never falters. She doesnt even crack. She has a breakdown along the way but picks herself up again and keeps on moving.
Lucas intrigued me from the get go. I wanted to know more about the mysterious "L". I also wanted to believe that he was to good to be true, but you will have to read the book to understand what I am talking about.
I love, love, loved Gens girlfriends and family. The same goes for lucas. The dynamic beetween all of the characters is sensational. If you have never experienced the type of friendship and love that they have for each other you might even be slighlty jealous.
The book was so well written and kept me turning the pages. I read this book in a day. I literally could not put it down. I wanted more. There are several twists thrown into this book. Most people would be reeling at what life had just thrown at them but not this crew they all just get back up, dust themselves on and go on. I love how you get so much detail on each person in the book not just your main interest. Each person is built up making it easy to transition into the next book. There is a bit of a mystery left at the end of the book but I am guessing that will quickly be resolved in the next book. Great job to the author, I can wait to read more on my new favorite crew.

This book was amazing! It was the perfect balance of love, friends, family and drama. I will for sure read this book over and over! This book was a refreshing read for me; everything lately I have read seems so filled with tension or such an emotional roller coaster that this book was simply a wonderful, perfect read. After Gen finds out she was dating a gay guy for several months, her friends take her out for a night on the town. A night that she can’t remember but it changed her life forever. That night she met Lucas. Lucas is a smoking hot ex-rock star, CEO, and loves his brothers, friends and family more than anything. The chemistry between Gen and Luc is so amazing; you can feel the steam come off the pages as you read! The other characters in the book were just as wonderful and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. The epilogue was awesome and I can’t wait to see who got married and who was in the coat closet LOL. If I could give this book 10 stars I would!

More Than I Asked For….that’s exactly what I got. This was a light and engaging read. The story begins with the development of Genevieve and Lucas’ relationship but with such a close knit group of friends and family it suddenly turns into so much more.
With the circumstances that surround Genevieve and Lucas’ first encounter being a bit “hazy” they make a go of things. We get a few twists and turns throughout the story but for the most part this is a drama free read. I didn’t have moments when I wanted to shake or scream at a character. I did however have some fits of laughter while listening to the banter between characters.
We find that things are not always as they appear and dive beneath the surface to get a better understanding of the situations and people. Some mystery always makes the read engaging. I hope that the author will expand more on the underlying issues in the next installment.
Although this is part of a series the author ties it up in a nice little package. The epilogue has definitely held my interest. A great debut from TJ Tims and I will definitely be looking forward to the next installment in the series and more works from this author.

Wow I just read this book and I love it, this book had me laughing, I love the characters, I did not wanted to finish reading it I want more, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
Genevieve lives in her own little world, that's inside her head, the only reality that she has in her life, are her two best friend and her grandparents, after she found out that her boyfriend Brad is gay, she kick him to the curve, that's when her friends decide that it was time for a night out on the town. To cheer her up and to forget about her ex, but what she did not expected was to meet, the Sexy hunk of Lucas, now Lucas is an ex rock start and CEO, what they did not expected was to have the chemistry right away, but they both have some issue, Genevieve have some mommy issue, and Lucas have some daddy issues, cant they bypass their issues and be happy.
I love the way how Genevieve and Lucas are with each other, love the sex scene are hot, I love the chemistry that they have for each other.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, and cant wait to read more from this author. Author T.J. Tims THANK YOU for introducing me to this wonderful characters and this amazing book love it.

To cheer her up and to forget about her ex, but what she did not expected was to meet, the Sexy hunk of Lucas, now Lucas is an ex rock start and CEO, what they did not expected was to have the chemistry right away, but they both have some issue, Genevieve have some mommy issue, and Lucas have some daddy issues, cant they bypass their issues and be happy.
I love the way how Genevieve and Lucas are with each other, love the sex scene are hot, I love the chemistry that they have for each other.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, and cant wait to read more from this author. Author T.J. Tims THANK YOU for introducing me to this wonderful characters and this amazing book love it.

Holy crap on a cracker! This book…is…just…fantastic! It blew my socks off.
This book had your roped in from page one. Meet Gen an artist who is basically being used as a beard (for people who don’t know what that is, basically someone’s gf when the guy is gay). Girls night out leads to a hot hook up with sexy Lucas. Problem is she doesn’t remember that night.
Add more twists and turns unknown family, crazy friends and an even crazier family from Lucas this book will leave you laughing all day long! There is not a thing that I can say about this book that is amazing wonderful and knock your socks off great. Tj Tim has knocked this book out of the park! I need more like now I can’t wait for the next book to come out. This is one of the best series started that I have ever read. 5 gold huge stars for this book!!
This book made me laugh so hard I swear Lucas’s family reminds me of mine that crazy crap that they do. And the end of this book is killing me I need to know who the ending was about (won’t give away any spoilers). Congrats Tj Tim on a book that is knocked out of the park!! Keep up the great work!!

I love experiencing new author and i was very pleased to read this. This is book 1 is the DC Series and i thought it was a fantastic read which i loved so much that i read it in a day and a half.
Genevieve has just split up with her boyfriend Brad so her friends, Hailey and Tara take up out to forget about him and have a good time. At the club, she attracts the attention of a guy in the VIP booth. Next morning she wakes up to a hangover from hell and flowers from a guy named L. She soon discovers that he is Rockstar turned Music Mogul Lucas Alexander.
This book is packed full of passionate sex, drama and so many funny moments, its hard to count. I love how funny it was at times and it had me laughing out loud. The whole group of friends that Genevieve and Lucas have are hilarious. The whole story is light and refreshing, it wasn't hard to love every character. There are a few juicy details about their pasts that are revealed through the book and Genevieve does have a lot to deal with all at once but it makes such good reading material.
So happy i was fortunate to read this book. Definitely one worth buying.

This begins with Genevieve (GEN) meeting her current boyfriend at a restaurant. He shows up late. and she decides to out right ask him if he is gay. because he hasn’t touched her in since they started dating and the close intimacy they had was holding hands. He apologizes and she gets up and leaves after giving him a mouth ful. I laughed so hard. Because I could see her doing just that.

This book is way More Than I Asked For...
Love loved loved it!!

I was expecting a huge let down like Luc was gonna get caught cheating on Gen, but that was not the case. It was like they were two souls waiting to come together. They had their issues from the past, but they overcome those fears & hiccups that made them that way.
I was getting a little lost on the characters because we were introduced to so many in a short span, & the nicknames. Oy!! LOL. There were places in the book that I laughed out loud, there were places I was angry with the characters, but it wad a great read!
"Rather than dwell in the past, you need to look for the silver lining and hold onto it for dear life. You now have two more people in your life, and that’s a blessing. As far as I’m concerned, if you and your sisters can grasp it, you have happy times in your future while you develop these relationships. Every step won’t be easy, but in the end, no matter the outcome, you’ll be happy you had the opportunity to try and discover a connection with them.”

I'm a huge fan of bringing as much laughter as the sexy, and Ms. Tims does not disappoint!! It's been a while since I've laughed out loud so much; I had to put my reader down to collect myself!
I loved every character in this book! They reminded me of my friends and all the quirks and jokes we have with each other. It also showcased how much friends can be more like family than your family is.
This was a wonderful debut novel about discovering who you are meant to be and not what your past could have easily made you become. This book is about curve balls thrown your way and how to handle them in a manner that is healthy and positive.
Lastly, this book is about love and growth. Love amongst friends, siblings, and most importantly, the one you were meant to be with. And how those relationships flourish in that love. It's not always easy, and sometimes you get handed a lot more than you ask for. TJ shows us that that's not necessarily a bad thing, either!
I highly recommend this book and I'm looking forward to the next one and all other future works by this author!

This is a really satisfying read. We get to meet a good sized group of interesting characters who will fill many fun books in the future. There is plenty of foreshadowing to get us thinking through the book! The writing is good, the protagonists are hot, and the romance is steaming; what more can a reader want?
There is a plot device which I think is both really clever, and really frustrating - and I can't tell you what it is .... see, annoying, but you now have to read it, and see what I mean! I'm hoping that in some book in the future it will be fully revealed (please Ms Tims take heed). Suffice it to say it works to give an extra edge.
I recommend that you pick up a copy and set aside some me time and just dive in and enjoy.

the opening scene had me hooked on this book. all i'm going to say is gen won me over right then.
there are so many things to love about this book. most of all is the cast of characters. i love the banter among all the characters especially when they are all together. i really can't tell you who my favorite is which means this series should be absolutely fantastic. there is no way to touch on each character, just know they are all really fantastic.
lucas is really fantastic...he's a laid-back ex-rocker who loves his family and friends. i like that he loves gen so much and has a geniune relationship with her. i love that he shows her how to open up and be free in a relationship and what a real relationship is all about.
gen is really entertaining and although she had a crappy upbringing she deals fairly well with everything that is thrown at her.
the reason this is not a 5 star rating is a couple of cliches are used in the book and were a bit much. overall the writing is good and the story is mostly unique.

More Than I Asked For is TJ Tims’ debut novel and I enjoyed it tremendously. Innocent yet feisty Genevieve Westley is just stepping out of a – let’s call it – an unfulfilling relationship. To get her mind off of her naive choices, her best friends and roommates, take her out for a night on the town. While out at a club Gen locks eyes with Lucas Alexander and her sheltered life explodes into color and chemistry.
I enjoyed the storyline and pacing of the story here. But what I really loved were the characters. Every single one of them had such personalities that I just wanted to know more and more about them. And to maybe go and hang out and have girls’ night at the brownstone!

First I have to say, I have never heard of this author before, but I have definitely added her to my list and will be reading all her future books. Ok, now about this book. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE every single character in this book. Gen and Lucas have awesome chemistry and their relationship is electric. I want a some Lucas in my life!! And the secondary characters are all just as awesome and magnetic. I couldn't help myself but laugh out loud many many times. One would say or do something and I would think, that's my friend so and so and then another would say or do something and I would think the same. It was great!! Every page of this book had me glued to it! Can not wait for more!!! This is one series I will be anxiously waiting for the next and they will be definite rereads. Great job all around!!!
