I felt like Kaede's final arc was a bit rushed, but it was so satisfactory seeing Tsubasa get called out even by her friends now.
Her immaturity and acting as if she was the victim was truly testing me, but seeing her friend express so well how what Tsubasa did was cruel victim-blaming to someone who had simply opened up to her was refreshing.
I was really happy to see how Rio's arc finished as well. For a moment there, I was afraid she was going to hurt Kaede, but the conversation about what is and isn't normal and being different isn't a bad thing was really nice. It was wonderful to see how the author truly dived into some of the most painful aspects of sexual assault, how the victim is left changed forever and chasing a sense of "normality" to ease the pain. The approach Rio took, explaining how what Kaede was feeling wasn't love and that he was mistaking "respect" and "admiration" for "being in love with someone" was a good touch.
I did think that the attack by the teacher was a bit too much, perhaps a plot device to punish Tsubasa even further? She is now traumatised by this as it's possible to see in the last few pages of this volume and I wonder what will become of her in the future. Her deep fear for everything that might be different, her insecurities about her own identity and immaturity will only exacerbate even more the terrible feelings that come with this new occurrence in her life.
While there were some things that ended a bit too abruptly, in my opinion, it's very clear to see just how much the author cares about Kaede and bringing awareness to cases like this.
