Who is Parker Blue? Well, I live in Colorado Springs with my dog, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Val's part-hellhound mutt, Fang.

I hate writing bios so that's all you're gonna get. Okay, okay. Instead of more boring bio stuff, how about some of my likes and dislikes?

Stuff I love, in no particular order:

- The color red—a bright, orange-red just makes me happy.
- Shiny things. I must have been a magpie in a previous life.
- Making shiny things. Love to bead!
- Dogs—they love you unconditionally and are great at stress relief.
- Numbers. So sue me—I love math. It always makes sense.
- Chocolate. Come on, that's a no-brainer.
- The mountains of Colorado. Their awe-tastic beauty is good for the soul.
- Diet Coke. What can I say? I'm addicted.
- Reading. Escaping into a cool new world someone created out of their imagination? It doesn't get much better than that.
- Oh, yeah. And writing. Making up my own world out of random bits of my twisted psyche is the best!

Things I'm not so crazy about, besides the obvious things everyone hates (war, pestilence, famine, you know the drill):

- Blogs that dis other people. What's up with that?
- Going to the dentist. Need I say more?
- Politics. Big yawn.
- Television shows that ask people do stupid things for money then make fun of them.
- Seafood. Ick. Just...ick.
- Yard work. I need lawn gnomes!
- Writing bios. Enough already!

As for the drawings...no, they don't really resemble me much, but this is what I figure Parker Blue ought to look like, kind of geek chic. Torie Fox drew them for me—isn't she fabulous?

-Quite a fun and entertaining read but in a really simple, cheesy, and predictable way.

-Val was a likeable enough character but she was rather vanilla and uninteresting. She was too nice and was kind of a doormat at times, Austin just seemed to be using her so he could find his vampire boss and her mother treated her like rubbish. Also, she didn't read like an eighteen year old, her thoughts were a bizarre combination of a middle aged woman and an immature, hormonal schoolgirl. I also didn't like how after six books she still felt guilty over her powers and blamed herself for any bad thing that happened, she needed to get over it.

-Really enjoyed the world and most of the side characters, especially Ivy and Fang. Also, Shade wasn't as much of a prick this time around, I hope he doesn't end up with Ivy, she's way too good for him.

*MY Thoughts*

Catch Me is the Sixth installment in the Demon Underground series by Parker Blue. The series features 18-year old Val Shapiro who is a vampire slayer, Paladin for the Demon Underground, keeper of the Encyclopedia Magicka books, and a 1/8 succubus that she calls Lola. Lola gives Val some amazing abilities, which she had lost in previous installments due to wrong choices. Still Val does have some impressive abilities.

The ability to control both demons and vampires alike. Ability to be quick and enhanced strength. Abilities that come in handy when she has to deal with an infestation of Rogue vampires who target the New Blood Movement leadership looking to take over San Antonio where this series is set. Abilities she needs to use in order to get the New Blood Movements leader, Alejandro, back after being accidentally sent to the demon realm by a certain mopping demon.

My Review:
Vampires, Hellhounds and Demons Oh My!

Val must find the vampire leader. Him being missing and causing all kinds of havoc, if he isn’t restored to power chaos might rule. So, it’s time for Val to put on her big girl panties, pull out all the stops to make it happen.

This has been a very enjoyable series. I really love when action, paranormal aspects and humor a melded into a story and Blue does that marvelously. My only complaint, there have been some open plot issues that still haven’t completely been resolved, I’m looking forward to some closure with them but again it didn’t completely happen yet.

Fun, fast and exciting, this series is evolving nicely. Val has undergone some changes. Not only has grown emotionally and maturity but she beginning to reevaluate herself image, maybe finally seeing what everyone else sees in her.

Ultimately, Catch Me is another high octane adventure and a great urban fantasy read.

Ok so continuing with the demon underground series, written by Parker Blue. I just finished the most recent book in the series 'Catch Me'. In this installment of this series we basically start right back up where we left off, Shades sister missing in the demon realm. Val and Shade still at odds with each other, and Val and Austen getting things more steamed up. In this book, it's starts with Val and Austen going to stop Shade from doing something when things get harried. Alejandro and Vincent come up missing. So this starts the book off right. Also we get introduced to a new character, Ivy. Ivy, is a rock demon, whose come from one of the other underground. At first she was a little iffy, in my opinion. Because she was a little shy it had seemed like, and got the impression that there was something devious in the midst. But she quickly changed my mind throughout the book. So the rest of the book left it to, trying to figure out what happened to Alejandro and Vincent. Fight off rogues that are constantly attacking. And dealing with Luis and his waa waa attitude.

This series is absolutely amazing! I sometimes wish that I wasn't fully caught up, so that I could dive into each installment of this series and not have to wait for the next book to be released. This is how amazing this series is. If you haven't picked up this series yet you are missing so much.

Once again, I really enjoy this series. It’s so much fun to read and to see the adventures that Val and her faithful hellhound get into.
This series is so underplayed that it saddens me. I want more people to read and know this series! It’s so awesome that I don’t understand why it isn’t promoted more! It’s is such a great series that I simply can not stop raving about it.
Plot: So as before, Val is in for another adventure and this time the vampires leader is missing. Not just missing but vanish into thin air. What?! Of course Val is on the mission and gets pulled into so much more. The plot os very detailed when it comes to action, characters and emotions. The reader is never left unfulfilled and if anything, if leaves you wanting more. I really enjoyed the movement of this series.
Val: Val’s position as the Palladin helps mold and shape Val’s character. She is becoming so much more mature with time and experience. I can safely say that I adore the way Val handles things. She doesn’t just do things on a whim but she thinks about it. She looks at both sides. Even when the decisions is tough, Val always does the right thing.
Love: FINALLY! I’m hoping that after reading all the jerk wads that just treat Val poorly, I’m happy to report that she finally has someone worthy of her. Just please cowboy, don’t mess this up. I like that there relationship is quite different. It’s feels more permanent. Like they get into arguments/fights but they still need each other. I can totally see them not only working together well but their love is blossoming.
Friends: After all the people that have abandon Val just because she is different or have used her, Val finally has some trust worthy friends! I adore that she is has people whom she can speak too and trust. Val does have a hurtful past and I’m glad that things are looking up for her.
End: Please tell me there is another book?? I can not bare it if it ends. There needs to be more. I can see Val growing and maturing so I think it will end soon but still, I want more.
If you love Richelle Mead (VA Series) or Jennifer Estep (Mytho’s Academy) you will definitely enjoy this series. Please give it a try!!

The juxtaposition between the Austin and Shade characters demonstrates the difference between a man and a boy and why men make better partners. Parker Blue does a masterful job with these two characters because she doesn't make you hate Shade nor portray him as a bad person, just a typical hot-headed impetuous young male. Even though the book's setting is in a fantasy version of San Antonio, Ms Blue also creates a realistic version of said world. She has very logical explanations for supernatural events which strengthen's the story.

Despite Val's youth she is a thoughtful woman and deeply affected by all the decissions she is forced to make. Through the series, Val has continued her evolution from an angsty teen to a deep woman who feels strongly. It's for these reasons that I love this series.

This book seems to be a game changer for Val. She learned how others see her, which was vastly different from how she sees herself. She also had to make some tough choices and live with the consequences.

Ivy was a great new addition and I think will let Val see different perspectives. I also like how the relationship is progressing between Val and Austin. But the best thing is Val's new position. It's not anything that she hasn't been doing, but it's official now.

Fabulous continuation to the Demon Underground series.

Shade is still devastated by the loss of his sister so, of course, is not making the best decisions. He tries to open a portal to the demon dimension to get her back and that has some unexpected consequences.

There is turmoil in the New Blood Movement as Alejandro is missing and it seems that someone is making lots of new baby vamps to derail the Movement.

Austin continues to prove that he's much better for Val than Shade (although he does have one slightly jackass moment).

We also meet Ivy and it will be nice to see more of her and have a female friend for Val so there's a bit less testosterone.

We get resolution for Shade & Alejandro, but are left hanging on the new vamp situation so hopefully that's addressed in the next book.

An excellent sixth addition to the Demon Underground series. It has all the angst and drama that a girl could want, and all the action and mystery that I guy could ask for. It's perfect for everyone.

Val has to make many tough decisions in this book that will impact the Underground, New Blood Movement, and all of San Antonio. So many things can and will go wrong until Val can get her feet underneath her and moving in the path she was born to walk.

Join Val as she continues to grow into the courageous and inspiring leader she appears destined to become. You won't regret coming along for the ride; and what a truly enthralling ride it is.

Bueno.

A happy ending to questions from previous books. Relationships mended, and new ones started. I find Ivy fascinating and Val really is a better person than I am for not being upset at the job offers. Can't wait to read more.

Catch Me by Parker Blue is the sixth book in The Demon Underground series. Val Shapiro is half demon and half human. She is also a succubus, the paladin for the San Antonio area, and the slayer (quite a combination). This makes for a complicated relationship with her new beau, Austin who is a vampire (should be interesting). Austin is one of three lieutenants to Alejandro, the leader of the New Blood Movement. Then Alejandro goes missing and the rogue vampires are creating havoc. The vampires start competing to be the new leader (more trouble). Val along with her faithful (and snarky) hellhound, Fang need to find Alejandro before war breaks out (Val does not want anything to happen to Austin who is a target). Can Val find Alejandro in time? What happens when ex-boyfriend, Shade enters the mix? You will need to read Catch Me to find out!

Catch Me is told from Val and Austin’s points-of-view. There are quite a few characters in Catch Me and it gets confusing. This novel is not fast paced (it was slow going). You do need to read the previous books in the series in order to understand what is happening in Catch Me (or you will be totally lost). I liked Fang (Val’s hellhound). He had a quirky sense of humor and I liked his comments. I did not enjoy Catch Me as much as I thought I would. This book is aimed at a younger audience (who I believe will love the book) and has the requisite romantic issues for Val and Austin. I give Catch Me 3 out of 5 stars.

I received a complimentary copy of Catch Me from NetGalley in exchange for an honest evaluation of the novel.

I am so obsessed with this book, this author, and this whole series. It's got to be one of the funniest, most adventurous, and heartfelt emotional series I've ever read. Val and Fang have become a part of my family I love them so much. I feel for them, and experience what they do when it happens. That's a testament to the fantastic writing of the author. So, the vampire leader is missing, and Val needs to find him. Well, he's more than missing, it's like he vanished, poof, gone. And it's never simple of just finding the vampire leader. Who did it, why, and how are we dealing with the rebelion, and what about Austin, and Shade, and Princess and her pups with Fang. See, there's always so much more that comes into play here. The action is spectacular as always and I am SO PUMPED!!! VAL finally, FINALLY has a good guy to call her own. And loves her for her. I was team Dan for a while, but I never voted for Shade. I have always had a secret crush on Austin though so I'm all in now!! Cowboy you better not fall off that ride before 8 seconds!!

Val is Palladin, she's taking to this new role and how it affects those around her and her own life. Things are finally getting a little better for her, kinda. She is growing, learning, maturing. And even when it's tough, she does the right thing, even if it hurts her.And she has some trustworthy people around her- real friends- now. I love this, especially after her crappy mother tormented her life. And I am not ready for this series to end, so I am PRAYING there is another book coming. I need another one!! 5 EXTRA AWESOME PAWS!!!

Hooked

Love this series! The characters come to life and you can't escape their clutches. I adore Austin and have high high hopes for his relationship with Val. Fang keeps me giggling threw out the books and I'm so excited to get to know the HellPuppies and who they will choose as their humans. A great book series, a bit expensive jmho but it was worth the $30 for the five books. Hopefully future editions will be a bit cheaper. Thank you Parker Blue for allowing us into this magical world she brings to life.

Damn, Im so hot for that Cowboy!

What? Did I say that out loud? Oops!

This was an awesome read! And I loved Val and Austin! But I want more! I must go and reread the previous books because I need more of Austin's deliciousness! And Val and Fang are always awesome! And Shade keeps annoying me. I kind of liked Ivy, even though I wasn't sure she could be trusted in the beginning.

I can't wait to read more! I need the next book, like, right now!

What's part-demon succubbus, Val, supposed to do when the leader of the Vampire Movement goes missing?
Val and the gang rush to figure out what happened to Alejandro when he mysteriously disappears. Her powers also come back, and the books are threatening to make another keeper.
She has to decide who she is going to back, where her loyalty lies.
I enjoyed the new demon that was introduced too, Ivy. One of my favorites in the series, I can't wait to see what comes next.

Romping good fun, fast action, like able characters

I hate vapors, demons, etc. I hate Mary Sue-type female leads. I hate big speeches of praise in honor of Our Heroine. I hate talking dog stories. And I cannot get enough of Val Shapiro and Company. Fast paced, clever, funny, topical, and sometimes very real in all the right ways. It may not be High Literature, but this series is a blast! I hope to see more!

The series is predictable, super cheesy, power plays, a hunky vampire with a cowboy hat and delightfully entertaining. It is like the Laurell Hamilton's Anita Blake series but without the repetitive boring dialog, flat plot and bad sex.
