Okay, I'm slowly becoming an expert on the situation in Georgia with all the books I've read about it. Something between 1/3 and half of the book is about this conflict and it's interesting in the way that it clearly has been written by someone who had boots on the ground. The author has my respect for that.
The remainder of the book is much more chaotic, ecclectic even, jumping from one country to another, one topic to another... and somehow much more interesting. From the slums in India, to the situation in Birma (Myanmar), to Thailand, back to India where a factory accident led to the deaths of thousands... we get a really nice overview of various interesting places in the world and events that are - or had been - occurring in them.
The book ends with the author being sent to Libya... setting stage for his book that I've already written.
