She wrote her first novel at the age of eight and continued writing on and off during her teenage years. In college she studied biology and chemistry and finally combined the two by earning a master's degree in biochemistry. After that she moved to Yankee land where she lived for four years working in a laboratory at Cornell University. Homesickness and snow aversion forced her back South where she lives in the land which spawned Elvis Presley, Oprah Winfrey, John Grisham and B.B. King. After finding her Prince Charming, she gave birth to a wondrous gift named Caylin and they all lived happily ever after.

Author S.J. West never fails to deliver a well-constructed story. She has an uncanny gift for world-building, and The Redemption Series is no exception. I find Anna to be a fascinating character, and I LOVE Gabe. West puts a lot of imagination into the developing relationship between Malcolm and Anna. This book moves the series along nicely. 4 stars

I quite liked this, but not as good as Malcolms book. I think Anna got a bit annoying with her unrealistic want to save the world attitude but it wasnt annoying enough to make me stop reading. I liked the ending and cant wait to see what happens in the next story :-)

I like the characters. I've always rooted for Malcolm to find someone to love besides Lily. I even had a sneaking suspicion that it would be Anna once she finally made her appearance. But now that they are together and Malcolm is done trying to push Anna away, I'm just not feeling it. Since my one and only read through this book was the Audible version, I don't know if it would've been different had I read it for myself. I'm enjoying the story, characters and goings-on, but as far as the chemistry between Malcolm and Anna, it feels very flat to me. I plan on continuing with the series. The only issue I'm having with this book is the relationship between Malcolm and Anna and the lack of depth there seems to be to it.

I have loved all the series since the beginning, but I have to say that because I loved ❤️♥️ Malcom the most from the time he was introduced- this has been my favorite series so far, add in Lucifer!!! OMG 😲 this is so juicy and the love story the best!!

Anna(Redemption #2) was just SOOOO SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!!!!! I read and read until the words started moving on the page and I HAD to put it down and go to sleep. I hated to stop but just couldn't go on any longer. It's got EVERYTHING a reader could want!!! and MORE. One of my favorite characters from a previous book in the series FINALLY got what he deserved.
I highly recommend the series and THIS book was especially good.

I adored 90% of this book and immensely enjoyed it. But there was just not enough action or romance. However, the ending has me jumping into book two like NOW!
I like getting to see more of some of my favorite characters on a deeper level, and Anna is truly a great character. Overall, a satisfying book. Oh, and her pet is the most adorable thing ever. Like, can I have one?

Anna gets Malcolm to finally admit she is his soul mate but he has waited thousands of years for her. He wants to marry her before consumating their relationship. After much wooing and planning Malcolm prepares to propose. Things are never simple when you are on a quest for God so no wedding happens.

This second book was very rewarding for me. I feel like Anna is become more empowered with each book. Malcolm supports what she wants, their relationship is growing, as is the trust between the two of them. I am excited to keep going with the series at this point!

The love between Anna and Malcom is so beautiful. The love and loyality between the charters is heart felt. I can't wait for the net installment.

Book two. Im torn. Ive waited so long to read Malcolm's story(my fault) that I think I put it on a pedestal. Its a great story. Well written and great flow.

4.0. I liked the book, and I probably would have rated it higher, but occasionally, there were little things that just seemed “off” about the characters.
Note: Anna is a continuation of Malcolm, and as West notes in the book description, it includes information from other books in the Watchers series, so you should read some (if not all) of those: The Watchers Trilogy, The Watcher Chronicles, and Caylin's Story.
Plot:
At the end of Malcolm, Malcolm had finally admitted his love for Anna when Levi’s people took Malcolm, Lucas and Anna. In this book, Levi promises to release Malcolm, Lucas, and eventually Anna’s father if she will return his brothers to him. The first part of the books has Anna meeting the Watchers who hid the brothers. As she does, she sees the conditions of all the other downworlds and realizes that in addition to getting the princes’ seals, she has to make life for the downworlders better.
While trying to help Malcolm and Lucas, Anna gets some unexpected help from Lucifer. It seems like she is growing closer with him; however, while Lucifer acts like he wants to help Anna, he also frequently pushes her away and warns her to stop trying to fulfill her purpose.
Characters:
Anna is still likable as a character, and she’s still easy to root for. She does think about sex constantly, which I found a little odd for someone who has only kissed two people – one of whom she knew was gay and the other of whom fainted at each kiss. That didn’t bother me near as much as how obsessed she was with marrying Malcolm. I realize they are soulmates, but crap … they’ve known other less than a week.
Again, Malcolm didn’t seem very Malcolm-like to me. I understand that love is supposed to change people, but the Malcolm we know wouldn’t wait until he was married to have sex, and even if he did, I don’t think he’d be such as tease to Anna. It was nice to learn a little bit more about Malcolm’s past and how it affected his ability to love others, including Anna and Lucas. It was also nice, and maybe a little bittersweet, to see how his relationship with Sebastian played out.
Lucas was much more prevalent in this novel. I like Lucas; he’s honest and funny and says whatever he feels, and that is often entertaining. My problem is this…. We know that he’s been dreaming about Anna joining his family since he was little. I just thought it was weird that he called Anna “Mommy” and that she referred to him as “my son” even though she and Malcolm weren’t even married yet. This is coming from someone who had two stepparents (three technically), so I realize it may not bother some people.
The other main character is Lucifer. I’ve wanted Lucifer to turn things around ever since he met Jess in the Watcher Chronicles. From what we know, he did change for Amalie, and he seems really sweet with Anna. It will be interesting to see what his end game is.

There were several spelling/punctuation/grammatical errors. Lots of homophones (an example of one is they’re instead of their), possessives without apostrophes, and plurals with apostrophes. They could be distracting at times. In terms of content, West says that if this book were a movie, it would be rated R. This book did have some sexual tension. I still don’t know that I’d call it rated R though.
The Bottom Line:
Even considering the things that bothered me, I still liked the book. Again, I would have liked it to appear Malcolm was struggling with things more than it did, but it was nice to see him be so sweet to Anna this time around. Not liking this series as much as I thought I would... sad, because it has enormous potential. Maybe it's because I've read 5 of her books back-to-back in the past week, but all this romantic-soulmate angst is starting to grate... or it could just be jealousy, lol.
This book was just more of the same I've come to expect from this author... fighting the good fight, Malcolm and Anna all lovey-dovey kiss kiss, Lucifer popping in getting pissy and giving cryptic messages, and then all the action in the last 10pgs, making the ending really rushed and the rest of the book seem like gratuitous filler. I'm starting to see that Ms. West has a recurring theme of the women wanting to have sex while the men want to wait for marriage... it's quite annoying. Yes, I get it- women aren't the only ones allowed to want to "wait for marriage," but I mean really, this is the 21st century (31st, if you're going by the year in the book). And Anna getting her period for the first time... she was a little wimp about it!! Woman up, girl- if you can't handle a few cramps, I hate to tell you what's in store for childbirth!!
This installment wrapped up the ending of the previous book, Malcolm, nicely and gaves us some closure there... only to end all over again with another insane cliff-hanger!?! I hate them... Glad that I have Lucifer already downloaded on my Kindle and ready to go!!

Anna is a much anticipated book 2 of the Redemption Series. The authors ability to grab hold of the reader is a true talent. Anna is romantic, suspenseful and full of the things we love about the entire Watcher Trilogy, Watcher Chronicles,Caylin's story and now the Redemption series.My expectations for this book did not disappoint but rather it captivated me once again with the continuing Watcher legacy. I have read all of Ms. West's Watcher books and there hasn't been a more spellbinding series for me since the Grey Wolves Series. The Watcher series is the elite by which I judge all other books regarding angels and to date none has equaled the love and devotion I have. If you are interested in this book (which I highly recommend)and you haven't read the entire series, please do yourself the joy and contentment of reading all the books predecessors in order to fully appreciate the unfolding of the story of Anna.

SJ West never fails to deliver, I was hooked from the first book I read beginning with Lilly and Brandon's story. Malcolm has been a fixture in this series of stories from the beginning and now he has finally found his soul mate in Anna. Their story is yet to unfold but it is definitely on its way not without their share of problems, the likes of which we can only read about. The biggest problem they will have to overcome is Lucifer, Anna's biological father, that's a big problem, but like in series past I always find my heart going out to him hoping against hope that maybe one day....
I can't wait to see where this story goes and how Anna and Malcolm will overcome all the obstacles in their way to be together. Thank you SJ West for another awesome installment of The Redemption Series.

ONCE AGAIN I AM IN AWE, WEST'S words and her beautiful characters with this endless amount of pure love and commitment and sigh........ just makes you want to weep and melt and oh yeah, WISH JUST FOR ONE SECOND YOU WERE ANNA ;o lol anyways I am soooooo ready for "LUCIFER" although knowing that there are only 2 books remaining in this series makes me truly sad. Don't get me wrong i have been a fan from book 1 in series 1 of this epic journey literally getting to know and watch generation after generation (ser.1 characters-ser.2 w/their kids-and ser.3 w/ their kids- to present) grow and i RECOMMEND NOT THIS BOOK NOT EVEN THIS SERIES..... NO I RECOMMEND THIS AUTHOR>>>> S.J. WEST<<<<< because when you search her name ALL of her writings will pop up and not one disappointed.

I just cannot give any of her books less than 5 stars. I have seriously become emotionally invested in these books and really enjoy the creativity in them. I loved Anna because of her strength and hard-headed nature. She is strong willed and with the influence of Andre is sure to fulfill God's plan for her. As far as her and Malcolm go, I was hesitant about a leading lady for him after Lily. I was unsure of how I would feel about her in the beginning. Of course this quickly changed when their connection was written the way it was. SJ has a way with words that leaves you thinking about the books for days, weeks, or even months. I still think about the first book in the Watchers and have re-read it a couple times. Another amazing book by one of my most favorite authors!! :)

Another Amazingly Strong Women
Watch out for Anna, she may well be the strongest of Lilly's descendants. This story just keeps giving us more surprising twists and turns.
The best way to read this book is after the Watcher Trilogy and the Watcher Chronicles. There is so much history between these characters that have evolved over a thousand years.
I try never to be a spoiler where great books are concerned, so I guess you'll have to take my word that this series should not be missed.
This series is literally the best I have ever read, and I have read thousands of books over my lifetime.
I can't wait for Lucifer' story which the next one in the series. Keep them coming S. J. and I will keep reading them!

I absolutely LOVED this book, which is not really surprising though as I have felt this way about these books since it began in Cursed.
S.J West has created some of the most loveable (and hateable) characters I have ever come across.
So If you're looking for a great read that captivates you from the get go, then do yourself a favour and READ THESE BOOKS! You will be so glad you did. The only downside for me would be the fact it takes me so long to get over my "book hangover" and get back to reality after finishing one of these gems! Please don't ever stop writing S.J West, You're truly one in a million!!

Malcolm the romantic!
I knew I loved Malcolm for a reason. He is beyond perfect and he is so incredibly sweet and romantic. He has such a way with words that makes me swoon. So happy they are finally together. Anna gets most of her family with the addition of her watchers and the exception of her Papa. This book picks up right where the last one left off and the princes come out of hiding, another seal is retrieved, a proposal, a super cute hellhound joins the family and Lucifer just cant seem to stay away either.

A very exciting second book in series
This is Malcolm and Anna's second book in their series.
After finally breaking through and discovering the reasons why Malcolm resented her Malcolm is kidnapped and tortured by Levi who demand that she force her guardians to release his brothers.
After rescuing Malcolm they try to figure out what Levi's endgame is as well as Anna trying to figure out what kind of relationship she wants to have with her father. While continuing to grow closer to Malcolm someone close to her pays the ultimate sacrifice for her.

I really like these books but I'm not going to continue to buy them if they keep leaving off mid plot and make me wait months to finish it. that's the most irritating ending an author can leave you with. this author has a tendency to do it quite frequently. I refuse to start another series that she has written because at the end I feel like it was a waste of money.

Exceptional continuing storyline!
Once again, Ms. West weaves a magical story of love, heartache, laughter, and forgiveness. In this continuing storytelling of Anna, the one who the Watchers have waited for, and her soulmate, Malcolm, we are given more insight to Malcom’s past to get to his present and catch a glimpse of what he dreams of as his future.
Well told, wonderful characters, great world building.

In this continuing storytelling of Anna, the one who the Watchers have waited for, and her soulmate, Malcolm, we are given more insight to Malcom’s past to get to his present and catch a glimpse of what he dreams of as his future.
Well told, wonderful characters, great world building.

Such a beautiful series
I always say that this author writes the most beautiful books but honestly she does. I have read a lot of them and each one is written majestically. I can't seriously put myself in her book because of her descriptions and the pictures she paints with words. I love reading her Redemption Series. I want to know more about all of these characters especially Lucifer. On to the next!

This is a must read for fans of SJ West. This book continues the story from Malcolm and shows Anna fighting issues all around. From Levi trying to ruin the world and the mixed messages from her Dad, Anna has lots to think about. The relationship and love between Malcolm and Anna is so epic, it makes the thousands of years he waited almost worth it. They are my fav Watcher couple!The cliffhanger at the end of this story took me by surprise and I can't wait for the next book!

Malcolm finally admits how he feels about Anna and she finds out about a poison that Auggies mom had been giving her to ensure she isn't unfaithful to her sun.
