(20,000 words, romance with steamy scenes) Curvy veterinarian scientist Amanda has never been comfortable with her body. She hides away in her lab in Atlanta, burying herself in her work…until a call from a stranger drags her out of the city and into the wilderness. Former oil man Russ Tyler has made his billions and bought himself a stud farm in Wyoming. He needs Amanda to treat a feral horse high in the mountains…but that means persuading the timid beauty to trek there with him on horseback. Amanda’s used to soy lattes, not camping out under the stars with a gorgeous, muscled cowboy. Can Russ convince her that he loves her curves…and wants her to have his children?
I live and work in London--yes, I do have a day job (quite a boring one).
I write steamy, funny romance, often featuring curvy heroines.

This was a pretty good story. I liked Amanda and Russ and while the story was short, I enjoyed it.
Amanda is a Veterinary doctor that works for the CDC in Atlanta. She's a BBW and has had enough people look down on her for her shape that she sees her body as a disadvantage. Sense she doesn't have much luck in personal relationships she tends to hide herself away in a lab and concentrates on her work.
Russ used to be an oil tycoon but he was dissatisfied with his life and job. He left that life and bought a horse breading farm, finding it a much better fit for him. He wants to find the right woman to settle down with now that he's found the life he wants.
Amanda is sent to Wyoming to consult on a horse farm. She loves horses and that's where she's concentrated her work so she's one of the best. Unfortunately, she's more of a city girl and isn't very comfortable away from Starbucks and wifi. When she gets to the ranch she meets Russ. He's a hunk of a man that has her fantasies running wild but she's sure that any interest from him is just imagines on her part. That ends up not being true and as they spend some time out "on the range" to help a sick horse and things happen between them that prove Russ is definitely into her. While the story is short, we do get a good start and then an epilogue that shows Amanda and Russ getting a HEA together.
This was a pretty enjoyable story. TBH, I was vacillating between 3 and 4 stars for this but I really liked Amanda and Russ and the chemistry between them so I went with 4 stars. I do wish it had been a bit longer but the epilogue made s nice ending and since it was a freebie it was a very nice treat. :D
Vet goes out to Wyoming at billionaire’s behest, spends a few days in the middle of nowhere tracking down sick horse. Then...romance.
The Good -It’s a freebie. -It’s very short (70pgs); quick, easy read. -There’s enough WTFery in that title (seriously, he wanted me pregnant!?) that I did a double take and had to get it. -Surprisingly decent writing. The basic plot is interesting and stranding Amanda and Russ alone and trying to find this sick horse was a good way to draw them together quickly. The characters themselves were set up well, and they had actual conversations that worked.
The Bad and Everything In Between -Sex. It’s spank bank material, basically. -The immediate “I love you, let’s get married” wasn’t necessary. -The WTF-ery - take that away and this story would have been cute.
The Bottom Line (2.5 stars) It’s free, it wasn’t horrid, and If you’re looking for sex scenes with a weird need for breeding, well, this will fit the bill. I think there’s potential with this author, even with the weird pregnancy fetish lol.
This was actually pretty good. The author did a good job of building the story and creating a connection between the characters.
I'm not against love at first sight or insta love in books, but it has to be believable for me. And while I did feel like there was a connection between the characters, I didn't buy his ILU so quickly. I just needed a little more time before he said it.
Overall, I enjoyed the author's writing and would read more from her.
The Curvy Vet and the Billionaire Cowboy by Victoria Wessex is a cute little tale. Amanda works in the labs at the CDC in Atlanta. Russ is a former oil tycoon who bought a stud ranch. While horseback riding in the mountains he sees a very sick mustang. He wants her treated and he wants the best. After making a few phone calls he borrows Amanda flying her out to Wyoming. He tells her he'll pay her $1000/ day if she'll come up into the mountains to try and save the filly. Amanda is self conscious of her body. She's too Curvy big breasted and wide hips. Russ thinks she's beautiful, just perfect. Will Russ and Amanda find love? Can the find the horse in time?
Do I believe in love at first sight? No. But I don't read because I want a dose of reality. I get more than enough reality in real life. When I read I want to escape into fantasy. This fantasy had everything I want. A hot cowboy billionaire, a curvy girl I can relate to, that also happen to be animal lovers. Add a lot of laughs and I was a happy girl.
An unvelivable and unique plot to begin with. One very determined alpha cowboy H fell for smart nerdy curvy lovely h. And so they went away to the sunset, literally, in so-not pretense excuse of finding very ill wild mustang. The tension was high, so was the burning fire within the story that kept aflame. A great flow, with good tension and amazing details on the landscape and situation. Those kept me rooted on the book from the top to the end. Although, i wished there were more conversation flowing and a bit swooning romancing from the alpha H wouldnt hurt.
This was a pleasant diversion from some of the heavy reading I have be been doing lately. Short and sweet and I liked both characters immediately. The description of the land was easy to follow and I liked that the cover matches the characters . I think you will like it, it was so good I bet you can't resist the other titles (chocolate).
I think I’ve read this book a few years ago bc it seemed familiar. It was a very quick enjoyable read. Not too much development but enough to make it worth reading....twice
I. love. this. story. I have it saved in my book lists, and still go back to the lake scene occasionally, just because it's that hot! the build up, the slow(ish) burn, her reactions and the tension between them is just really good, definitely recommend

I'm a huge fan of insta love books and throw in a man intending to impregnate and I'm all for it. They're is something so stinking sexy about a man knocking a woman up.
