No one can tattoo better than Inigo, a two hundred year old vampire, who works on human and supernatural skins. But he’s never tattooed a faerie and when a bunch of them insist he comes with them to tattoo one of their kind, saying no proves not to be an option. His skin is Oberon, the faerie king, and Inigo fears this will be the last tattoo he’ll ever do.

The moment Micah lands in the faerie king’s bed chamber, he knows the guy is trouble. But if he’s to save his sister and his family, let alone the job he’s paid to do, he has to stay in Faerieland and endure Oberon’s sadism. When he’s thrown into a vampire’s cell, covered in blood, he fears this day will be his last.

This book follows on from Jumping in Puddles - though there is no need to read that one first.

Barbara Elsborg lives in Kent in the south of England. She always wanted to be a spy, but having confessed to everyone without them even resorting to torture, she decided it was not for her. Volcanology scorched her feet. A morbid fear of sharks put paid to marine biology. So instead, she spent several years successfully selling cyanide.

After dragging up two rotten, ungrateful children and frustrating her sexy, devoted, wonderful husband (who can now stop twisting her arm) she finally has time to conduct an affair with an electrifying plugged-in male, her laptop.

Her books feature quirky heroines and bad boys, and she hopes they are as much fun to read as they are to write.

This was so different to previous books I've read by this Author, but I absolutely loved it.There definitely aren't enough, good, paranormal M/M books out there and this soooo worked for me.

Well, this was definitely a first for me.A Barbara Elsborg book with humour, add into the mix a sexy Paranormal M/M and this was a hit for me.

A sexy Vampire...Inigo.

A sexy faerie...Micah.

They shouldn't connect but they do in the most delicious way. They are both tops *sighs*.How will they ever get around this? Oh,yes....bring on the sexy times. They adapt very quickly!

This is the second book in the series.I haven't read book one because it's M/F but that definitely didn't spoil my enjoyment of this and this can be read as a stand alone.

Paranormal books aren't necessarily my preferred Genre but I love it when I find one's that really work.
This wasn't too complicated, which they sometimes can be and the scene setting and characters were so engaging. The humour works perfectly here,a little bit dry but given the characters it was spot on.
The inner thoughts of Inigo were just brilliant and I know it's wrong but I found, the villain,Oberon so damn funny... I was kind of routing for him!

If you're a fan of M/M Paranormal I would highly recommend this.

"Good evening faeries," Inigo said. "My name is not Inigo Montoya but Inigo Rafael Cavendish Fitzwilliam McIntosh and my father isn't the issue, but prepare to die anyway."

Any book that references "Princess Bride" = Instant bonus points.

This book is SO much fun. I really like Barbara Elsborg's style- quirky stories with lots of character development, heat, and excitement. This isn't your typical vampire book. First of all, it leans a bit towards the fantasy realm with the involvement of fae and other dimensions. It also isn't an "alpha male" story, with a growly possessive vampire. It is more.. geek-chic vampire? Like the kind of vampire a geek-lover like me I would want to be friends with or date.

My favorite part of this book was the dialogue. It had me laughing out loud at times, which was awkward because I was reading this book on a crowded train and I seemed a little insane to my fellow passengers. I loved the banter back and forth between the two MCs. Inigo was fabulous in every scene and I adored his interactions with everyone.

"I want to be a ten," Inigo blurted.
"You are a ten."
"I want to be an eleven really."

My biggest hangup with this book was the plot seemed a little chaotic. I'm not sure if it because I hadn't read the prequel book Jumping in Puddles (though this book is billed as a stand-alone), but I got a little lost with all of the family members and their dynamics. However, I enjoyed this book so much that it is easily 4-stars for me.

Oh My God! I loooved this book! I’m not going to lie, until 20% of the story, I was like “what’s the fuss about this book? It’s confusing!” 😁 And then literally, the light shone down on me and I got a revelation! 😜 I freaking loved this book! 😱 “The banter, the romance, UST, emotional rollercoaster and the smut!” It was absolutely brilliant! 😍 The banters were so good that I found myself laughing until my belly hurts! 😂 The story is unique, interesting, refreshing and totally magical! You might get a bit confused until 20% mark because this is the second book in the series although this can totally be read as a stand-alone! (First book in the series is MF) My, I cant get enough of Inigo, that’s one sassy-mouthed, blabbering, adorable, heroic and totally cute, sexy vampire! 😁 And Micah, ahhh, I loved that sweet and charming lover Fae! The relationship dynamic between these two was so amazing and the story kept me on the edge all the time! 👏 And despite being super witty and funny and heartwarming, the angst before Their HEA was so bittersweet. 😢 I found myself crying with both Inigo and Micah. 😭 I sobbed like a baby but it was so worth it in the end. 😌 I never knew what plot twists will come or how it will end! It was a one exhilarating ride! 😉 And that epilogue? A total touch of genius! ❤️ Now I can’t wait for that bad-boy Angel Roman’s story! Off to read more goodness! One word for this book, “YUM!” 😋

I loved the story! Everything from start to end was such a roller coaster ride, full of surprise uphills and downhills, heart-attack inducing events, toe-curling love scenes, the author's brand of wit, and an amazing cast of characters which were all well developed and rounded!

Oh, Inigo! I loved him so much! He is the reason for most of the gasps and chuckles that slipped out of my mouth. And I cannot wait to read Roman's story next.

I am in love with this series!!!! ❤️

Bloodline is a fast-paced, steamy fantasy featuring a tattoo artist who happens to be a vampire, a faerie named Micah out to save his family, a mystery, a badass horse, a treacherous zombie, an evil king who'll stop at nothing, unicorn blood, and scorching smexy times.

The banter between Inigo and Micah is hilarious, and their connection ferocious and all-consuming.

I read this book without having read Jumping in Puddles (which follows Micah's sister, Ellie, with her love interest, the mortal Jago, and sets the stage for this story), but I had no trouble following the plot.

This is a sexy, funny, and entertaining read! I'm glad I got to it finally.

4 1/2 Strong 'Fant' Stars - a fantastic colorful story - funny, witty and dazzling - quite deliciously charming

Bloodline is a completely fresh and newly published fantasy / paranormal gay romance by Barbara Elsborg. It sounded too good to be true. I wanted it at once.

I heard it might be a bit harsh story, with cruel and scary parts, but I was sure it couldn't be anything less than a great read for me. ~ And a visit to the Faerieland attracted of course.
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

***********************************************

Inigo, a two hundred year old vampire, living in nowadays London, is a reputable tattoo artist who works on human and supernatural skins. He’s never tattooed a faerie and one comes four big bulky faeries and insist Inigo comes with them. They take him to the closed Faerieland to tattoo Oberon, their faerie king. Inigo fears this will be the last tattoo he’ll ever do.

The beautiful dark haired faerie Micah is the youngest son of the Norwood family who many years ago was thrown out of the Faerieland because of an unfounded allegation of theft of a royal gold treasure, the Kewen.

Many years later have the Norwood's at last found that missing Kewen and also heard the whispering about three missing human kids many years ago. Micah's family want to tell the faeries about what they found and maybe later be able to return to their old land and home.

Micah and his older sister jumps therefore for their first time through an "portal" to the other side of the Divide.

but...they lands in the faerie king’s bed chamber.
Oh no! Not a good place to be. The faerie king Oberion isn't in any way a nice man to meet. He is goodlooking but he is evil, cruel, tricky and a (horny) sadist. ~ A new power-hungry king who needs the mandatory tattoo to his upcoming coronation.
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

But what about the love tale?
The faerie Micah and the vampire Inigo meets then pretty soon (after a bit of trouble for both of them). It was a kind of insta-love or may I say: insta-attraction.
‘Everything Micah did wound him tighter. Everyting he did dragged Micah closer. He didn't remember ever being so excited by simply playing around, by kissing.’

These two lovely men soon N.E.E.D each other in all ways ~ and a speedy fantasy adventure with a romantic, boiling hot, love-story begins.

***********************************************

Wow, not a minute of silence, a single quiet peaceful moment. Full speed from the beginning to the end. And it is very funny as well. ~ Inigo is incomparably witty and quick with a joke in any situation. To read a story with laughter and jokes in the love-bed is pleasant. It is a true love fortune. ~ More of a fun (sexy) fantasy than a bloody and dark vampire story, thanks for that!
“I thought a doctor was giving me a prostate exam,” Inigo said with a grunt. “But no, it was my brand-new alarm clock.”

Bloodline is full of interesting and wonderfully described characters and maybe we get to meet any of them in another book in the future. ~ At the moment, am I completely satisfied with Inigo and Micah, a stunningly sweet described couple of lovebirds.

....Sure there was some blood sucking, faerie blood is extra tasty and tempting. Yeah, a vampire must surely...
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

“You are...” Inigo blinked. “Amazing. Perfect. Sexy. Gorgeous.” He gave a heavy sigh when he looked at Micah's cøck. “With an impressive recovery speed. Just like me.”

***********************************************

Some time ago I read another very good smutastic romance, written by this author. Ms Elsborg is a well known (m/f, m/f/m etc) British romances author. I realize I have to check this authors books much more for the future. ~ I like her style. She knows how to write a grand brassy tale.
“You're the beat of my undead heart, the decent soul I've long lost, the sexiest guy I've ever seen.
My very own faerie.”

Bloodline was simply a great tale. - A lot of funny banters, much dialogue, exciting plot, evil madmen, varying POV and it is also heartbreaking romantic. The "steam" is hot and very sexy with some smexy dirty talking. All in all; quite unpredictable and so amazing captivating done. - What more to wish for?

This was a easy-going entertainment read. I enjoyed and had a lot of fun. It might have started a bit cruel and tough, but wow, it ended shimmering charming. ~ Recommended!

I LIKE - I'm dazzled by these adorable characters

4 Let's have a bite... Stars

This isn't your usual vampire book, but I’ve been a fan of Ms. Elsborg for a while now, so I jumped at the chance to read this one and this book is SO much fun. I really like Barbara Elsborg's style.

My favourite part of this book was the dialogue. It had me laughing out loud at times, I loved the banter back and forth between the two MCs and Inigo was fabulous in every scene and I adored his interactions.

I found this to be very entertaining I had not read the prequel to this, Jumping in Puddles by Barbara Elsborg , though I understand this is a standalone. I certainly hope this isn’t the last we will see of these guys because I really didn’t want it to end.

My only hang up with this book was the plot seemed a little turbulent and I got a little lost with all of the family members and their dynamics.
However, I enjoyed this book so much that it is easily 4-stars for me.

A Hearts On Fire Review

FOUR & A HALF STARS--Hands down “Bloodline” is one of my favorite reads for this year! Even needing to take some time to think about why it kicks major ass did not calm down my excitement for this story. For my first Barbara Elsborg--I can hear your gasp from here, thanks—I did not know what to expect. But this author delivered a mix of light and dark with sexiness, vulnerability and snark.

Vampire Inigo is kidnapped because he’s the best tattoo artist in London and has been ordered to complete a tattoo for a faerie king he’s never met. While captures, he meets a mute Micah, a prisoner in the king’s clutches. And Inigo can’t keep his eyes or his cock’s thoughts (*nods* he talked to his penis, LOVED IT) off the damaged Micah. And Micah can’t help but return the feelings even if he’s been burned by vampires before. Faeries and Vampires don’t mix…sounds a little “True Blood”-ish, huh?

Don’t worry it’s not.

Why does this book kicketh ass?

Oh let me count the ways:

1) Main Characters – Inigo is a major reason to read. Micah and his awesome tattooed faerie cock is a great reason to read too. But Inigo? What a snarky, sexy vampire. Inigo the two hundred year old vampire that has seen quite a bit of the world but did not come across as jaded. He’s so faceted and I enjoyed each and every facet. Micah surprised me too. Both men were a little damaged but not world weary. Just the type of leading men I love reading about.

2) Plot – Here I am thinking the book was going to go one way and it turned into something even more. I thought it was going to be an urban fantasy but there was a mystery to be solved. And then the agency aspect was introduced towards the second half of the book to add another layer to a simple yet intricate plot. Great world building while set in modern day London. I also like that everything is not revealed right away rather at its own pace.

3) The Sex – Yummy, yum, yum. ;D This book is not just erotica, there be plot. But their sex scenes and franticness…frottage can be oh so hot. *whispers* And both men are tops.*squeals* But they…uh…handle that issue quite nicely. Smut lovers will enjoy. ;D P.S. There be a smidge of het (M/F) sex, you’ve been warned.

4) The Funny – As a girl who loves to laugh (a lot), I usually don’t laugh out loud at funny parts in books. Unless it’s really bad or extremely funny. And to me, this book was in the latter category. No slapstick crap here. It’s a mix of self-depreciation/witty/sly /British humor that I really enjoy. Of course, Inigo delivers it while drawing you into his world.

5) Secondary Characters – From the evil king Oberon (is it bad that I was kinda digging him and his psychotic ways?) to Ryn, the bodyguard and Roman (I want him-bad), Micah’s mysterious boss, these characters added to the well-crafted supernatural world this author created. Don’t fret, you won’t need index cards to keep up with the species. (In case you’re curious, there’s faeries, vampires, shifters of all types, gargoyles, angels, zombies, even a little hint of unicorn) The supernatural beingss are so human, sometimes I forgot they were a little something extra until they mentioned their wings or fangs. And the epilogue hints to a follow up with Roman. (Please, please do…I’m not above begging for this) I think this world has legs for a series to be honest. I could easily read more books based on the secondary characters.

Do I recommend? YES!

Would I read more from this author? YES!

The story is a well-deserved HEA with a cool epilogue (loved the delivery). And if you must know why not full 5 stars…I felt one of the bad guys got off a little too easy. It’s funny what happened but he did some vile moves. He should have been punished thoroughly. And Micah/Inigo, initially when they got together…it seemed a little quick for feelings from Inigo, just a little. But he’s a vampire. Micah’s a faerie. They are paranormal, this usually happens. I got over it. ;D

What do you get when you throw a vampire tattoo artist with a penchant for snark in with a gorgeous fairy James Bond? You get a delightful romp into the land of the fae and an adventure rife with danger, deceit and intrigue. You get a clever tale of magic and mischief. And shenanigans! What more could you ask for?

Even though there were parts that were extremely dark and disturbing you can’t help but consider this a light, entertaining read. The balance between light and dark is as perfect as a tightrope act. It all boils down to Inigo. Inigo is a delight. He’s a funny, snarky, arrogant horndog. He also may be a bit messed up in the head. I mean, he talks to his penis… and it talks back.

“You’re clever as well as a great fuck?” “Yep, so don’t lose me.”

Though this book may be about fairies and vampires and have a fantastical storyline it also has an emotional maturity that you don’t see very often. For example:

One thing he did know, keeping quiet and not trying to sort this out would only make things worse.

and

“Don’t push me away because you’re scared. Do the opposite. Pull me closer.”

I had so much fun reading this book! I haven’t laughed this much in a long time. Between all the snappy comebacks and one liners this was a riot a minute. There were a few times that made me sad or angry but then something funny would happen to bring me out of my funk. And the epilogue? Perfection.

What have I learned with this book? I’ve learned unicorns are awesome. That’s what I’ve learned. Unicorns are King of the Forest. They also can cure pretty much anything, even zombieism. We… er, I mean they are majestic beings who are second to none. See? Awesome.

**SO. Much. Fun !!! **
This was supposed to be my first “vampire” book, but I believe it’s more a fantasy romance featuring Inigo, a very sexy vampire, and Micah, a very sexy faerie, having a hard time to keep their pants down while trying to save a faerie kingdom from an evil and sadistic ruler.

It’s very fast-paced, with a lot of fantasy characters (vampire, faerie, gargoyle, zombie, talking horse, werewolves, angels). But most of all, it’s very hot and crazy fun, with a tiny bit of insecurity from the MCs that make them very endearing.
I’m going to quote Dani : “The banter between Inigo and Micah is hilarious, and their connection ferocious and all-consuming.” As for Inigo’s inner thoughts…nothing dark, quite the contrary.

When in a mood for fantasy, entertainment and sexy times, this book is perfect. It’s Barbara Elsborg : not sure it can go wrong with her.

And there is more to come with the promise of a good demon and a bad angel…mmm…bring it on !

*big sigh* I'm just so happy right now.
This story. I don't even know what to say. *hugs e-reader*

What I loved the most:
The wonderful mix of darkness and humor, especially in the first half of the story.

Well written characters with distinct personalities.

Indigo's quips. Just when I was stressing out about Oberon *stab stab stab*, Indigo would break the tension, making me love him even more.

Those thoughts do not do the story justice, I know, so I'll try to come up with a more coherent review later on.

Side note:
After all that buildup, I was a little disappointed with how things were resolved with Oberon. It felt a little rushed, and didn't quite live up to the rest of the story.

I also thought the ending was a bit rushed and wrapped up a little too neatly.

A fierce, adventure romance

Take one vampire in the wrong place at the wrong time
Take one fae with a contingency issue
Toss in a serving of sadism and a dash of court intrigue
And… voila!

Ingo and Micah have a chemistry that leaves scorch marks. So sexy and yes, extra points for biting! Yay. The pop culture references were of less interest to me and at times distracting since there is enough going on with the story that it didn't need the boost and I didn't understand the need for it. At times, the story felt very "pulpy", but it was entertaining and a fast page turner.

Favorite quote:
“I want to be a ten,” Inigo blurted.
“You are a ten.”
“I want to be an eleven really.”

I really enjoyed this book! The story was well paced and vivid and I liked both the MC's. I enjoyed it enough, I am considering reading the first book of the series, even though it is M/F. Thankfully, I did not feel that I was missing a huge chunk of the story by not reading it first.

Inigo is a vampire. Not a bad guy, but other supernatural beings tend to not trust vampires. He pretty much just minds his business and takes only the blood he needs, He doesn't kill for it. Inigo is also a very talented tattoo artist (I wish he could give me a tattoo!). One day, he is...persuaded (yeah, we'll go with that) ... to go back to Faerieland to give the new king his coronation tattoo. Surely, that will turn out ok.

Micah, an exiled faerie, found himself in the company of King Oberon the Seventh when he and his sister bring back something that the current king's grandfather had claimed was stolen. They also bring proof that the grandfather was lying and of the deception that followed. Dangerous waters, those. So, Micah is trapped and abused and manipulated by Oberon.

The king, being his sadistic prick of a self, beats Micah to a bloody pulp and throws him into the cell where he is keeping Inigo. A very hungry Inigo. And that is the start of a very beautiful, and hot as hell, relationship between our two MC's.

What follows is an adventure of a lifetime, filled with unexpected allies and and a few enemies and some very interesting side effects of some rare blood.

It was a fun book and I look forward to sinking my teeth into the next one!

Well that wasn't your common or garden "Once a Upon A Time" fairy story, but it was a hell of a lot of fun! Nice one Ms Elsborg! You've just put a nice big smile on my face.
This one took me back to my days of reading paranormal/urban fantasy. It was a genre I was into just before my m/m obsession got a hold of me but it was one I always enjoyed. I have a thing about fairies... always have had, and I like it even more when there's a good and bad faction within them, and there's one hell of a sadistic son of a bitch fairy king in Bloodline!

Oh my he's a doozy! I was doing my pantomime "Boo Hiss!" routine at him beginning when long-time, exiled faeries, Micah Norwood and his sister Ellie, go back through a portal from our world (in this case, London), to Faerieland where they try to return the 'Kewen'- a long lost fairy treasure - to Oberon the Seventh, king of the Faeries. They're trying to clear their family name of false theft and disgrace which had their family banished to our world but Ellie lets slip some news that Oberon has been trying to hide from his subjects, that could result in his being dethroned and this evil piece of work has no intention of letting that happen so to protect Ellie, Micah ends up staying behind whilst his sister is sent back to retrieve a certain Bill of Sale that Oberon means to destroy. Not a great move as Oberon is psychopathic, unfeeling, callous and vicious and once he gets him into his clutches, he takes great pleasure torturing, humiliating and sexually assaulting Micah, biding his time, until Ellie returns so he can get rid of any loose ends threatening his kingship. Loose ends that include all Micah's family members. Oooooh! Wicked, wicked faery!!

But all that comes later, as the book actually opens with us meeting the gorgeous, permanently eye linered, loveable, constantly quipping, rascally vampire:
“ Good evening Fairies," Inigo said, "My name is not Inigo Montoya but Inigo Rafael Cavendish Fitzwilliam McIntosh and my father isn't the issue, but prepare to die anyway."

Two hundred years old, funny, dry humoured and full of witty banter, Inigo is one of the characters you just can't help loving as soon as he appears and he just grew on me more and more as the story rolled along. He feeds on his victims but only enough to keep himself satiated, finds his 'meals' on Grindr, and isn't averse to getting a bit of sexual pleasure out of it if needed, but apart from one instance, he never kills. Basically over the years he's coasted along, teaching himself different professions. At this stage in his life he's a tattooist at 'Demonink' and because his rep is high in the paranormal community, he's kidnapped by three nasty ass faeries and taken to Faeriland where he's told in no uncertain terms he's to give Oberon an elaborate tatt on his back, one that only the true faery king can wear. Faery skin is not easy to tattoo so he's given some special blood to add to the ink, which he surreptitiously takes a sip from and steals, as its like nectar to our cheeky vamp! Can't say much more about this as it's really important to the plot, but you get to see what creature the blood comes from and the amazing results of it as the story along!

He sees Micah, shackled in Irons, bespelled mute and rendered helpless and he has to watch while Oberon goads and humiliates him. To test the validity of the blood in the ink he makes Inigo tattoo Micah's peen. Ouch! Despite the circumstances both of them feel an initial pull when they first see each other but the situation isn't great for making eyes, especially not with the threat of Oberon's wrath hanging over them. Now things never really ever go to plan in this entertaining story and its at this point that the shit really hits the fan, as the tatt won't take. Oberon throws a major thrombie and has Micah beaten unmercifully and then thrown into a cell with Inigo ... his faery blood a particular temptation for any vamp. Thats how the two guys get together, and when the tale really starts to take off! They escape together and from then on its a frantic fun filled race to dodge Oberon's equally cruel, psychotic fairy hunter Cavan, find a missing Werewolf, save Micah's family, clear their names, bring down Oberon, find some very important missing faeries and put the true king on the throne! And all the while this is happening, Micah and Inigo are quickly falling... first in lust, then... deeper in love the longer they're together...and HOLY FAIRYDUST! They're hot in the sack! We're talking Fairy-Vamp lurve and I was liking that...a lot! Sizzling chemistry and loads of sparkling sexual tension!

‘One look at Micah's long, thick lashes and those dark green eyes, and the bottom fell out of his world. This was a day of firsts, because he'd never wanted to kiss anyone so much in his life. Shit what's happening to me?'

The whole book is packed with a plot that twists and turns... never losing pace or entertainment value. Being able to flit between the two worlds gives the story a contemporary feel at times and a fairytale feel at others. In Faerieland you get the magical, over in London you get the modern. Interesting supporting characters in an alternate world where if you can come up with a paranormal creature then I guess it'll be wandering somewhere in there and I reckon if we do get more in the future there'll be more species to come. Here we've got Vamps, Were's, faeries, zombies... and Roman!! Owner of the paranormal agency that Micah works for but I'm not telling what he is, you'll have to find that one out yourselves but I'm hoping if Barbara's teaser in the epilogue is right, we get Romans story next. He's quite a character! Lots of mileage in this universe and I really hope that Ms Elsborg gives us more.

One thing I did like was that even though some of the scenes over in Oberon's court are graphically violent, torturous and dark in tone, the book never slipped into serious or gloomy. Inigo's dry, witty sense of humour, his one liners and self deprecating tone and the sexiness of their romance lifted this into more of a fun filled romp, but thankfully never a farcical one, so like I said I finished with a huge grin on my face. That's the beauty of setting a story in a world where there's magic and mayhem... you would probably be rolling your eyes in a real time setting but you can just let loose in a fantasy one, not overthink it and let the imagination soar. There were times when I had to really concentrate on the plot because there's so much going on and a fair amount of characters to keep track of but what the hell... overall I had a ball and really enjoyed myself! I think if you're a lover of the paranormal you'll be quite taken with these guys. I know I was!

“Vampire,” one of them snapped.

“I am indeed - I’m in therapy for it and also for my terrible behavior. My doctor says I have a preoccupation with blood and violence. Hmm. Perhaps he’s right.”

And a vampire he is! With eyeliner *squee*

"I've never fucked a faeire."

Oooops. Well, I think we can change that :)

Mh-hm.

*whispers* Let me tell you a secret, *squeee*

I LOVE this story so hard.

This was simply GENIUSLY WONDERFUL!!

Just like with my favorite by Barbara Elsborg, Every Move He Makes I can not give this story an appropriate review.Bloodline is beyond awesome - the characters, the dialogue beyond brilliant.

I am sooo in love with Inigo! He and Micah are so much fun together!

I haven't read anything in a long time where I absofuckinglutely loved both MC THAT MUCH!!

“You might like to emerge from the bathroom dressed, with your submachine gun and machete in your hands. There’s a strange guy in here.”

Barbara, I LOVE your insanely adorable and sexy characters and your brilliant writing.

“You are the best thing that has ever happened to me,”

“Worth every miserable fucking day I’ve ever had until we met. You’re the beat of my undead heart, the decent soul I’ve long lost, the sexiest guy I’ve ever seen.

My very own faerie.

“Keep talking like that and I’ll come without you doing a fucking thing.”

Yepp,

"I'm drunk - On sex and faerie blood."

I loved the living shit out of it :)

So much, I will read it again, and again ...

Wow! For a book that started out with me freaked out of my mind this turned into something so completely awesome and I loved it!! I love, love, love Micah and Inigo, even if he isn't avenging his father ;)

So, like the first book, this was easy and sweet and hot as fuck and so funny! I truly laughed out loud at so many parts. The beginning really did make me very nervous though.

Here is my only complaint. Why is this not set up as a series? To me these are not stand alone books. They connect and follow right after each other. And, because this isn't set up as a series, the beginning of this book actually used some of the last pages of the first book, word for word. I am confused by this. I felt like I was reading the same thing and I was.

Thanks for the rec JL! I loved it!

This is my second Elsborg after Falling. At first I though I was going to like it less than I did that one but the second half got better, or I was in a better mood. And I ended up eagerly reading it right to the end. A nice mixture of banter, adventure, angst, tea and sea, both the latter supplied from my end.

I Loved it. It was like nothing I've ever read before. I honestly didn't think I was going to like it, bcause I'm very picky when it comes to paranormal books. It was exciting, sweet, dark, sexy, funny and damn hot !!

Now I'm not gonna explain the plot, because I honestly wouldn't know where and how to start. When I started reading this I was a bit worried that it would be to complex for me to enjoy. This book has a lot of different creatures and portals to other worlds. I'm dutch and my english is very good, but I tend to stay away from shit that is to complex to process right away. I don't like it when I have to read a page more than once to understand what's going on. Paranormal books can be very complicated. This one looked complicated, but thank god it wasn't. I has so much fun reading it. I'm still not gonna explain what it's all about, because that would take me way too long. There is so much going on...but all of it is wonderfull !!

I will tell you about Micah and Inigo. Damn they were awesome. So hot.. a faery and a vampire together. The steam was off the roof !! And then there is the funfactor. This book was so fucking funny. Inigo almost made me pee my pants laughing.

There are some parts that are a bit darker, but nothing to worry about, because the fun and sexy times make it al better !! i would definately recommend this one if you like some sexy supernatural man on man loving with a little suspence on the side :)

4,5 stars from me and thanks to my gr friend aksana for recommending ;)

Wow! Wow! Wow! What can I say, this is amazeball. I didn't read the first book, but is easy enough to immerse in this fairy world.
I thought the first quarter was tough to read. The villain is such a sadistic bastard and the torture scene was awful. But Inigo, the vampire, make everything so much better. Despite his own dark past, he is such a good person at heart. He is all sarcasm and humor and so lovable. And he loves Micah.

There is the fairy kingdom politics that was suspenseful, Micah was in the middle of it all and Inigo who wants to be by his side for all of it. The story is a mixture of dark, suspense, humor and romance, but mostly I love the dedication and trust between Micah and Inigo. I wish this book is longer.

4.5 star review by The Blogger Girls.

I’ve been a fan of Ms. Elsborg for a while now, so I jumped at the chance to read this one. The blurb sounded so interesting, but, honestly, I really didn’t pay much attention to it. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. What a pleasant surprise this was. I fell into this story from the get go and could not put it down until the end.

This wastes no time getting into the thick of things when Micah and his sister find themselves in the Faerie King’s bedroom hoping to strike a deal. Unfortunately, they did not count on just how much of a bastard the King really is, though Micah finds out soon enough. The King basically imprisons him, uses and abuses him. I felt so bad for Micah and his situation at this point.

Then we meet Inigo, not to be confused with Inigo, you have killed my father, prepare to die, Montoya from The Princess Bride. No, Inigo is a talented tattooing vampire. What a fabulous character he is! He is charming, funny and sexy all rolled into one. Inigo is brought to Faerie to tattoo the King (there is much more behind this part of the story). Things do not go according to plan, and tables get turned. When he and Micah are thrown in together, they just clicked, even though they meet under such dire circumstances. These guys were so funny, especially Inigo, who had me laughing out loud more than once. Their dialog was such a joy to read. They basically decide to trust each other, team up and end up falling in love.

This leans a bit more toward fantasy with much of it taking place in Faerie with portals to the real world. I found this to be refreshing and entertaining, even with the harder to read scenes when the King is being a sadistic bastard. I had not read the prequel to this, Jumping in Puddles, though I understand this is a standalone. I certainly hope this isn’t the last we will see of these guys because I really didn’t want it to end.

4 Solid Stars!

This was my first Barbara Elsborg book and it most definitely won’t be my last. This was most often fun, romantic, but also at times difficult to read through certain scenes.

Inigo is a 200 yr old vampire who is a tattoo artist with his own shop and over the top snarky. When he is approached to do a tattoo on a faerie, he is weary this will be his demise. Micah and his sister land in the king of the faeries bedroom when they jump through a portal. This immediately spells disaster for Micah, as he is taken prisoner and tortured and raped. This was the part I found difficult to read and get through, but what i found unbelievable was the quick recovery both mentally and physically for Micah. Granted his seemly quick recovery added much needed lightness after these scenes, but for whatever reason it stayed with me as being unbelievable. Which honestly seems a little silly considering this is a fantasy faery tale romance, but it's my honest reaction.

Aside from that minor reaction, this is a story with non-stop action, twists and turns, a wonderfully sweet romance between a faery and a vampire (my first). Micah and Inigo are two characters you can’t help but love and cheer for. And Oberon the faery king is someone who just want to see die a horribly painful death!

This is a story was a fun entertaining read, lots of action, hot steamy chemistry and laugh out loud funny. And while these two did get a HEA, I found the Epilogue a missed opportunity.

This was the ultimate fantasy tale combining vampires, faeries and shifters, as Inigo and Micah race to save the faerie kingdom from the threat of the new king.

This was an unexpected journey that starts with Inigo, a vampire and renowned tattoo artist, being forced to accompany some fae to the palace of Oberon the King of the faeries. Oberon needs a tattoo placed on his back as part of the ceremony to become king. However he harbours a secret which prevents Inigo from completing his work.

Oberon is also under threat from Micah, a faerie who knows too much, his family having been banished from the kingdom. When Micah returns to faerieland, he is captured by Oberon and placed under a magic spell.

This is the journey of Inigo and Micah as they band together to defeat the evil Oberon. There is action and adventure. There is abuse by the evil Oberon. There are complicated back stories and a cast of characters that I sometime struggled a little to keep up with. This is fast moving and packs a lot in.

I'm not a huge connoisseur of paranormal and fantasy, however I found this story to be imaginative and engaging. But what I most liked was the writing style - it was such an interesting blend of world building, dark moments and humour. I loved the dialogue, accompanied by the internal thoughts of the characters.

A copy of this book was provided by the publisher in return for my honest review.

This book was picked for me in a pick it for me challenge. This was book two in a new series for me it was also my first time reading this author. Inigo, a two-hundred-year-old vampire who is also a tattoo artist when faeries show up at his shop he denies there request to go with them so they use faerie dust on him. Micah Norwood and his family have been barred from faerie land they are living London when him and his sister Ellie confront the king he is taken hostage by the evil sadist King and his hunter. This was a pretty good read turns out the tattoo that Inigo did for the King isn't sticking and he knows that the King isn't going to let him live he has to escape. When they throw Micah into a cell with him as his dinner he is was beaten by the king he knows that he has to save him also. This was a good read it had action and it had some hot sexy scenes in it. The last few chapters of this book moved quick and I am still confused has to how Inigo went from a vampire to an angel. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

Oh my gosh, my head is exploding right now! This universe is amazing!

So Bloodline is the second book in the Norwood series, and you don't technically need to read Jumping in Puddles first. However, I did... and I think you'll get more out of Bloodline if you do. I know my M/M reading friends might not like reading M/F, but dayum Barbara Elsborg writes such great romances, and Ellie and Jago are so sweet together, and the story of the Kewen is laid out so intriguingly. Well, your time will be well spent. I promise!

Nevertheless, you can start the series with Bloodline, just be sure you've got The Demon You Know ready to go!

Bloodline was a really enjoyable read. Micah and Inigo met in an unexpected way but are instantly attracted to each other. I loved both men, they were sweet, protective and loyal to each other and to those close to them. I think they're going to make a great team. I'm looking forward to Roman's book.
