This bundle of wonderful stories that celebrate Navy SEALs is a true delight. I couldn’t wait to read all of the books before writing this review. The first book I read was by Kimberey Troutte, Seal ExTreme Team - book 1, and it was an interesting read. The basic story is of a family kidnapped on an extreme vacation in South America and a team of SEALs called in to rescue them. I had a bit of trouble believing that a SEAL would allow a civilian female to accompany the team even if it was an old girlfriend BUT in spite of that I loved the men in the story and would love to read their stories in the future. Jenna and Mack had a blazing good time throughout the book and I would recommend this to anyone who likes a well written romance.

The Navy SEALs e-mail Order Bride written by Cora Seton takes place in Chance Creek and was one I chose to read having read some of the other Chance Creek novels. This story is about a family of four military brothers who are given an opportunity to regain the family ranch IF they all marry within a year and one of the brothers has a baby within that time frame. Mason and Regan meet through an advertisement Mason has posted online and through e-mail, skype and time together they fall in love. I liked this story because the story dealt with issues and overcoming obstacles. I loved the interaction between Regan and Mason and would love to know how the other brothers fare before the end of the year.

I am eager to read the other eight books in this bundle if they are all as good as the first two!

CLOSE QUARTERS by Roxie Rivera.....

We all love a sexy SEAL and Leland is all that and more!

As with all of these hardened warriors, Leland is carrying emotional and physical baggage, and therefore seeks the solace of a quiet mountain refuge to mend his wounds.

But that peaceful respite is about to be shattered by the appearance of his 5-year obsession and pain in the butt best friend of his baby sister.

Jamie had always had a knack for attracting trouble like a magnet, and it would seem that nothing has changed since the night they shared a scorching hot kiss and broke each other’s hearts.

While this was a very fast read, it managed to cover all that needed to be addressed and is a fitting addition to Roxie Rivera’s bibliography.

I do have to say that I did get a copy of the anthology in return for an honest and impartial review.

I love stories about SEALs, just as much as I love stories about cowboys or any other kind of hot alpha male who has a gung ho save the world and the lady attitude. Some great authors have come together to put out an anthology SEALs of Summer. There are some authors I haven’t come across before, so this time around I started with the authors I do know and love – Elle James and Delilah Devlin. These ladies can make you fall in love with their characters and are must buys for me, whether they are writing about SEALs, cowboys or anything else!

The first story I want to focus on is by Elle James. SEALs Embrace is a stand-alone story that belongs to Ms. James Take No Prisoners series which is available as single stories or in other anthologies. I fell in love with Caesar Sanchez from the moment he was missing his food to go to the hospital to have his little booboo - a cut finger looked at. Now you would think that a SEAL in Afghanistan would be able to deal with a simple thing like a cut finger by putting a simple band-aid onto it, but when you factor in Caesar’s attraction to a flight nurse serving at the outpatient clinic, Erin McGee, then you understand the motivation and his urgent need to get his finger seen to but I doubt the penicillin injection and the swat on his bum were things he thought he would be getting! Erin has been hurt before and she isn’t willing to take that risk again, but can Caesar change her mind? He is cute, sexy, has tattoos and is rather drool worthy, so there may be hope!

This however is more than just a nurse meets SEAL and they have a romance story. It is a story about two people, who are attracted to each other, but who know the regulations about fraternization – well Erin does, but Caesar has a habit of overlooking these little details. Ms. James adds in life on base and events and action that make it more than just a story about Caesar and Erin. There is danger out on a mission and more danger because of a Taliban terrorist and the constant through all of this is Caesar and Erin and this makes for one well rounded story that literally drags you in and keeps you turning the pages.

I loved how Caesar had to work for it with Erin. She didn’t fall into his lap and she wasn’t going to be easy either, despite the fact that she was attracted to him! I never knew the back of a supply shed could be so romantic and hot at the same time as it was a practical kind of meeting place! I could empathize with Erin because as well as knowing the rules, she knows SEALs and other military men, but they aren’t all cut from the same cloth and this is what Erin needs to remember. It is hard though because she has been hurt before, but damm if Caesar isn’t someone who could light up her life with fireworks. Can she trust him and can she open her heart to love again with Caesar or is he just another player?

The story was rounded out with the location changing from Afghanistan to the base in Germany where Caesar was taken to be treated and where the terrorist leader was also taken. I do have to say that there were times I really wanted to give Erin a bit of a wake up slap around the ears. She has a hot guy interested in more than a simple fling and she can’t get herself to take that step that will take her into Caesars arms. Caesar didn’t give up, he just kept trying and found out things about Erin and really wanted to prove to her that it was more than just a fling that he was after.

If you want to know what happens to Caesar, Erin and the Taliban terrorist, and if they find a way around the regulations Erin hangs on to with such determination, then go and read this story. You won’t regret it! Now, if only I could have a Caesar in my life, I would be happy, but then again, I’ll settle for another installment in the series – maybe this one will be about Tracey and Irish?

The second story It Takes a SEAL is by Delilah Devlin and it is part of her Adventure Girls Inc. series but as with the previous story it is also a stand-alone story.

All of the other installments in the Adventure Girls Inc series are available in various box sets so if you like stories about SEALs and danger and ladies in distress who are strong and feisty, then look no further. If you have read the other stories then this is also a great opportunity to revisit with characters again and see how they are doing!

Susan is a bit of a prickly character when she first steps off the plane and Justin has been tasked with the meet and greet which turns into a ride where he attempts to distract her from the fact that he is trying to avoid a tail. The fact that she didn’t notice anything was wrong was proof of his driving skills and his gift of the gab – and boy can he talk!

Justin, the ex-SEAL is now a security specialist for a famous billionaire. He’s a man who loves women and loves to have a good time but he also hides a lot of what he feels and wants and that is what makes him so adorable and attractive. So what can bring these two together? Try a security threat and a plan to bring the bad guys out into the open, but then again, as they say the best laid plans often go awry or maybe they just need a little nudge from friends who only have your best interests at heart!

The verbal sparring that went on between the friends was so much fun and that refers to both the guys and the girls. I laughed out loud at the girls getting caught discussing Justin’s assets after the super hot lovemaking session on the boat and the reactions of the other guys. The fact that Lace and Maya, Susan’s friends aren’t above a little matchmaking or trying to push Susan either, helps things move along as well.

Once Susan and Justin decide to engage in the attraction they obviously feel for each other, things get hot and heavy really quickly. Their verbal interactions are a bit snarky and fun. These two are attracted to each other and for the start hot and sexy is the way things will go because even though Susan is really attracted to Justin, she avoids sticky relationships like the plague. Can Justin be the one who gets her involved in a really sticky forever kind of relationship?

What really drew me in was the fact that Justin was able to see beyond the barriers that Susan threw up and that he was man enough to admit that there was more to their attraction. Their love making is super hot and sexy and the warning at the beginning of the story is most appropriate – it is erotic. It is highly charged, super sexy and oh so erotic. Who knew that uninhabited islands and almost derelict cabins with absolutely no mod cons could be so sexy?

Susan however is the one who has doubts that Justin could actually love her. The sex was fantastic, but it’s the emotions that she has a hard time dealing with, or wanting to deal with, added to this the fact that she would have to reveal her true self. Amazingly Justin deals with them just fine, contrary to what men usually do. Can he convince Susan to give what they have a try or is Susan so closed off that she won’t even try?

My only problem with this story was that it finished way too quickly. It was almost abrupt in its quick ending and resolution. I wanted and was hanging out for the danger, the race through the jungle to save the girl, guns blazing, avoiding bad guys and the bad guys getting their comeuppance, but that wasn’t to be, sadly.

Susan also changed her mind really quickly, going from doubts on one page to acceptance on the other, but it’s a novella so there’s a little leeway and it is also just me wanting these things. The way that the friends all had a hand in the situation was also really interesting. Now, if you want to know exactly what these friends did and what happens to Justin and Susan, you will have to get yourself a copy of It Takes a SEAL.

I haven't read all of the stories yet but I will edit my review to add other as they are completed. First are my reviews for: It Takes a SEAL by Delilah Devlin and Close Quarters by Roxie Rivera

5 STARS - It Takes a SEAL by Delilah Devlin

Susan Evers is poised and always in control it's what has made her successful in her business and professional life. So why is it that when she goes on a working vacation with her colleagues all her training seems to let her down when a certain sexy ex-seal looks her way.

Justin Walsh agrees to pick up Susan from the airport but nothing prepares him for his instant attraction to her when he sees her for the first time. Justin and Dex are here to on business as security for Billionaire Jake Halloran while he closed a deal.

Justin want to break through Susan's perfect exterior and if he has to do it on her terms to begin with that's ok as long as in the end he has her right where he wants her in his life and in his bed permanently.

I loved this story and highly recommend to everyone. It Takes a SEAL is hot and sexy and one story you won't be able to put down until the very end

4.5 STARS - Close Quarters by Roxie Rivera

Leland Gates is heading to his family's cabin for a much needed break after his last Navy Seal assignment. As he nears the cabin he notices a flicker of light and instantly goes on guard to check out who it is. A quick phone call to his sister eases his mind but sets his body on fire.

Jamie Pearson is determined to bring down the man that killed her father but things were starting to unravel and she needed to get away and hide for a while so her best friend Peyton gave her the keys to her family's cabin.

Five years ago Leland kissed Jamie for the first time and it had ended in causing them both heartache ever since. Now confronted with the one woman that set his world on fire Leland and Jamie come face to face with the truth of that night and realisation of what they mean to each other. But Jamie has a secret and it's one that could cost her everything when Leland finds out. Can Leland forgive Jamie and will he be there when she needs him the most.

Great story. This was a quick read and one I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to others .

While I haven't read all the books in this series yet, I do love men in uniforms, especially those men who are willing to serve and protect the people they love!

One of my favorite stories was A Seal's Song. Here's my review.

A SEAL’s Song
By Jennifer Lowery

Do you love a little action with your romance? Ms. Lowery’s tale of a robbery gone bad spins you around with fast-paced action and nail-biting suspense. I immediately fell for Jack. He was a guy who just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. With his help, our feisty heroine wasn’t alone battling for her life. Darci faints at the sight of blood but can kick two guys’ butts with a broom handle. She’s not only beautiful but resourceful, using the skills at her disposal to trick the bad guys more than once.

As danger pushes Darci and Jack together, the learn to rely on each other and themselves. From kidnapping to deadly storms, the two of them find a way through the danger and find passion. Their lust turns to more but each character has to come to grips with their own fears before they can reach a happily ever after.

If you love strong heroines and sexy alpha heroes, sizzling danger and exciting action… you will love a SEAL’s Song. Now I’m wondering about the rest of the SEAL team, will they get their stories… it’s only fair (especially when you can’t help but love a man in uniform!).

Seals of Summer is a Military Romance Boxed set featuring Military heroes. This boxed set contains 10 stories and has to be one of the best boxed sets I've read in a long time. I'm not for sure if all the stories are first time releases but none of the stories were repeats for me so I was extremely happy to read all ten.

Usually when I read a boxed set I can usually pick a favorite or two but it is very hard in this set. I absolutely loved It Takes A Seal by Delilah Devlin, Seal of My Heart by Sharon Hamilton, and Close Quarters by Roxie Rivera. I read everything those ladies publish so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed...and I'm still thinking about Delilah's hero Justin...hot, hot, hot!!!

The rest of the authors were new to me and I enjoyed their stories just as much. I am not for sure how anyone makes money on a 99 cent boxed set but as a way to discover new authors that I like, I won't complain ;-). Highly recommend this box set.

Fall Out by Zoe York was amazing!

Drew hasn't been the same since Kevin, his best friend and fellow Navy SEAL died. It's not that he's traumatized, he just feels tired and empty. Maybe this isn't the life for him any more; but what is a guy to do when being a SEAL is all he knows?

Drew feels alive again; and it's not just the mystery that makes his heart race. His attraction to Andrea makes him long for a future he's never dared dream to dream about before.

A fast paced and adventurous romance, Fall Out is a well written introduction to Zoe York's latest series. The collaborative efforts of this talented group of authors is sure to be a success!

I haven't read all the stories in the SEALs Of Summer Superbundle yet but have loved the ones I have read! I really like reading military romances especially when the hero is a SEAL so this group of books grabbed me right away.

I did read The Navy SEAL's E-Mail Order Bride by Cora Seton and rated it 4 stars. Here is the link to my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Coming in Hot by Kimberley Troutte I gave 4 stars to also. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

A SEAL's Song by Jennifer Lowery got 5 stars from me. The review link is https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I'm looking forward to reading the other stories in this bundle but highly recommend it to anyone who likes military romance.

There are ten novellas in this collection, I read four.

THE NAVY SEAL's E-MAIL ORDER BRIDE by Cora Seton: 3 stars, maybe 3.5. I'm a sucker for the marriage of convenience trope, and this is a pretty good specimen.

FALL OUT by Zoe York: 2 stars. Confusing and dull story filled with "action" and "suspense".

A SEAL's SONG by Jennifer Lowery: 1 star. Actively bad. A Navy SEAL and a wedding singer are captured and recaptured at least five times. I didn't quite finish this one, tbh, even my low standards were offended.

SEALS's EMBRACE by Elle James: 2 stars. Military details feel authentic, but not a good writer.

I adore Sharon's Seals and reading the short but hot story about Tyler melted my heart
I loved that he was embarrassed for reading but proud of his sister's books
Hope to see the letters between these two lovers while he deploys I bet they are awesome

FALL OUT
Annie receives a message from her dead Navy SEAL brother. She goes to his best friend Drew. Drew is a SEAL and doesn't do relationships. As they figure out who called Annie, secrets are revealed and friends turn into lovers.
I got this story for an honest review. I love SEAL stories!! The only thing that bothered me was Drew continually saying no commitments. Then Annie would make little snide remarks and they'd get mad at each other. Otherwise it's a good story.

This review is for Close Quarters. Loved this novella!!! I want more. This was a new concept and an interesting one, treasure hunters!!! I loved the characters and would be interested in reading a whole series about them. We have Seals, treasure hunters and the drug cartel...just imagine all the twists and turns we'd get!!!

The first book in this boxed set surprised me a little, as I pretty much stick to mysteries. I decided to try something different. I like a little romance, but this was far beyond my normal reading style. However, I did enjoy each and every book. My favorites were E-Mail Order Bride, Coming In Hot, and A Seal's Song. These three seemed to have better story lines than the others and the latter two were quite action-packed.

Review for SEAL of my Heart:
First off, I loved how the first part of this book took place in Portland, OR where the characters went to both VooDoo Donuts and Powell's bookstore, two highlights of the city. But maybe I'm bias since I'm a Portland native. Anyways, so both Kate and Tyler are on the flight to Portland, Kate to see her sister before the her own wedding and Tyler to see his parents before his deployment. Have you ever believed in love at first sight? Well that's kind of what happens to these two. But the problem is is Kate is already spoken for, though she realizes that she never really wanted to marry her fiancé. So after calling off the wedding and starting a new relationship with Tyler, Kate's reality back home is not what she thought it would be. Secrets are revealed and a situation that will put Kate's life in danger which is a twist that will keep you on the edge of your seat!

I haven't read all of the stories yet but here are my reviews for the ones I have.

This review is from: A SEAL's Song (SEAL Team Alpha)
This story has everything – a dashing Hero, a beautiful heroine, suspense, romance, sex (steamy but not graphic) and wonderful, descriptive story telling by Jennifer Lowery.

I purchased this book as part of the “SEAL’s of Summer” boxed set but also received a free stand-alone copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I love to read all kinds of romance books but I’m beginning to have a strong connection to ones with suspense and intrigue. This is the second book by Jennifer that I’ve read and reviewed (the first one hasn’t been published yet). Her books contain all of the elements I look for in a romantic suspense story.

If you haven’t read any of her books yet – don’t hesitate; you won’t be disappointed.

*********************

This review is from: SEAL's Embrace (Take No Prisoners Series)
A SEAL’s embrace is the 3rd book in the Take No Prisoner’s series. Each book can be read as a standalone and you won’t feel like you’ve missed anything if you haven’t read the others. You really should read them, though, because so far they’ve all been great books.

SEAL Caesar Sanchez is in love with Nurse Erin McGee but she doesn’t want to have anything to do with him after being burned by her ex-lover. Also non-fraternization rules contribute to her reluctance to get involve with him. Caesar is injured and Erin accompanies him on the transport to the hospital in Germany. The story unfolds quickly and you can feel the heat between the two of them.

Don’t miss this great addition to this series by Elle James. If you like stories about SEALs you will enjoy this one.

What an awesome collections of books. There was only one book in the collection that I didn't care for but it was about the style of writing, not the content, author or her ability as an author that I didn't like. Anyone who buys the collection will be more than pleased with the books. I also found a few new authors and series I want to start following. That is the only down side to reading boxed sets for me. I almost always end up buying more books to read after reading one of the books in the boxed sets. The reason it is a problem for me is I already have quite a few authors I follow and adding more makes it even harder to keep up. And that is saying a lot considering I'm disabled and have all kinds of time to read lol.
I will be reading The Seals of Winter after I read the books I bought that go along or continue out a series started in The Seals of Summer. I probably will find more series and authors stemming from what I read in that boxed set also lol. I sure do love losing myself in a great story, it's almost better than sex...almost but not quite lmao. (>‿◠)✌

Seals of Summer.....is certainly a "superbundle"....which has given me many hours of entranced reading.....enjoying the Alpha males, all tall, dark (or blonde) and handsome.....doing their best for the good world, and meeting the independent, beautiful, not-necessarily skinny (!) women who cause them to wonder about true love....with erotic, loving love scenes as they succeed in their adventurous missions....with or without the women who love them..........Each story is more exciting and page-turning as the warriors fight around the world....and the women do the best they can - usually exceptionally well......As a mother of two Seals, I enjoy fantasizing with these heroes, as I was never permitted to know exactly what my own did in their service.....I can only thank Anne Marsh, Sharon Hamilton, Cora Seton, Delilah Devlin, Zoe York, Jennifer Lowerey, Roxie Revera, Kimberley Troutte, SM Butler and Elle James for their contemporary romances... I hope to see more.......

As a reader drawn to those sexy and supportive Navy Seals, this anthology gives us plenty to drool over. From countries abroad to closer to home these story are action-packed while balancing a believable romance. My favorite of the bunch is Seal's Embrace and involves a charming warrior trying to win over the nurse, who not only outranks him but has been hurt in the past. When he's hurt in combat she finds herself inexplicably drawn to him even more against her will and needing him to save her when zealots take her hostage. The characters are all strong-willed and larger than life in this story, as well as in the others. The battle scenes are vividly depicted and keep you immersed in the heart-pounding action too. From start to finish this is an engaging selection of stories that are surprisingly fully fleshed-out. Fans of sexy warriors will be drawn to this anthology as well and I commend each author for their inclusion in this very worthwhile endeavor!

I was provided ARC's of both Fall Back and Fall Dark by Zoe York in exchange for an honest review. If the rest of the books in this collection are even half as good then this is a phenomenal deal that will provide lots of great reading.

Fall Dark - Now here's one where the alpha male character is a bit more along the lines of what you would be expecting but even then it's done in a great way. The main male character is sexy, cocky and in complete control at all times. The great thing about this book is that the female character is exactly the same and as a result sparks fly. The scenario is unique and the secondary characters add lots of good humor. The story line moves along quickly without sacrificing character development and connection.

All in all another great effort by Zoe York and I look forward to reading the rest in this series!

I originally purchased this series because I like the writing of another author, however, I feel in love with the story written by Zoe York. I have now read one of her series and highly recommend her.

The Seal bundle has a mix of great, average, and poorly written stories. As a Navy wife, I could tell which authors had done research and those who had not. Just FYI, someone in the Navy is called a sailor, not a solider. Also some of the timelines for ranks were wrong, meaning characters were higher ranking then they could or should be at that point in their career. I know these are small things but the story is in the details and it pays to do research.

Overall, this was a great purchase at just $.99. I highly recommend this series as a summer read.

Review for Fall Out by Zoe York

Loved this story. I wish it was longer. I didn't want it to end. Annie has a freaky situation come up in her life and the only one she can think to turn too is the man she's had a school girl crush on since she was 15 or so, her brothers best friend Drew. Now that she's 25 she's only seen him a few times in the past years. With her brother and parents gone he's the only one she trusts to turn too. Drew doesn't do relationships/love but something about the grown up Annie has him questioning things. He helps her out in her situation. They make the situation bigger than necessary but it causes them to become closer. Can't wait for the next story in this series. I hope we get more of Annie and Drew.

Review for The Seals E-Mail Order Bride

So many books these days are dark & full of angst so it was a true joy when I was given an arc of this book to read for a review. I hadn't read any thing by this author before so I wasn't sure what to expect. I am so pleasantly surprised.
When you are given an opportunity to get the place where you grew up back but are required to jump thru hoops like get married in within a year what do you do? Put a wife wanted ad on the internet of course! Especially if you are a Navy Seal alpha man. And what do you do when some sassy women sends you a young in check sarcastic tequila laced reply? Well you just need to read the book to find out!
