This was a fun quick read. It's more a novella at 122 pages than a full length story, which I don't normally like. The author is either too busy introducing the characters at the expense of the mystery or setting up the mystery and you don't get to know the characters. However this author seems to have got the balance right and I enjoyed it.

This is book four in the series and each book can be read as a standalone book, even though it's part of a series. This is because each case gets solved and the author changes things up each time, by taking it in a different direction at the end of each book. This does mean if you like the series you will want the next book to see how things develop.
In this book we are in a new location, so there is only three recurring characters, oh and Sir Barkington of course. So it is fun getting introduced to a bunch of new and quirky characters.
The the had a Halloween feel to it and some creepy murders. I had no clue who the killer was. Off to start the next book.

April, Hentie, Sir Barkington and Smulder have landed up in Cakeville, just in time for Halloween. With snow on the ground it might not but the best time to sell ice cream but it is a great time to join in on the fun and games. That is until the Halloween killer strikes again. One of the inns party guests is found dead after an argument and is left as part of the neighbours Halloween display. They had to leave there last location, so as to not blow April's cover but she can't help but get involved in another murder investigation. Especially as the town has a serial killer on there hands on that one kills at Halloween. Can she find the killer without giving herself away?

Light mysteries that are an easy read. April is a spy on the run -- undercover hiding from a vindictive criminal. As such, she's supposed to stay under the radar, drive her ice cream truck, serve ice cream, keep a low profile. Her friend Hentie travels with her, more or less content with the situation though she knows there are things April can't tell her. And then there's "Oliver", her old friend, traveling with them -- really her 'handler' and there's some sexual tension as well.

Of course, what happens, is there's a murder everywhere she seems to take her truck for any time at all. And she can't help but do some investigating. In this case, they're in Cakeville, WI and a serial "Halloween Killer" strikes again. With her eidetic memory, April realizes the victims -- all have some things in common and the connections she makes lead her to the killer. But what can she do about it without blowing her cover?

Not too long so a quick read -- nice palate cleanser between heavier books.

This is the fourth book in the Spies and Food truck series that is a fantastic addition to a fun cozy mystery with great and unusual characters. Delta Mission is a spy who has to remain undercover for her own safety so she was given an ice cream truck and an alias: April. So April and Hentie have arrived in Cakeville, Wisconsin around Halloween which will give her a little break. But when the body of Juniper, a much disliked baker is discovered. Delta/April finds she has to find a murderer. It so happens that there were other murders in the past during this Halloween time. Can April investigate and still keep her cover? We are taken on a real roller coaster ride with lots of twists and turns and a surprised ending with Delta/April, Hettie and of course, Barkington. I highly recommend this series and this fourth book is a great fit! I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

This is a fun series! I like the feel of the series: two strong women traveling across the US in an ice cream truck and stopping in small towns where they find murder mysteries that need to be solved. Of course, one of them being a “real” spy (in-hiding) makes it interesting. This series is a spin-off of another of her great series, A Mission Inn-possible Cozy Mystery. Delta (a.k.a. April) is the granddaughter and cousin of the protagonists in the original series about the Missions (grandmother is retired and runs a B&B, and cousin who is in-hiding too). This book is fairly short and easy to read. I love that they stay in different small towns, so you have new settings and characters in each book. The storylines keep your attention and have surprise endings! Looking forward to the next one!

Berry Ripple Murder does not disappoint. Hentie and April (Delta) discover another murder. Will April keep or cover intact so she does not have to go undercover as she investigates the murder. How will her relationship with Oliver (Brian) be affected.
April and Hentie find out that the victim, Juniper, was not well liked. In fact even her sister disliked her because of her underhanded actions towards others. Rosie has again given us a wonderful mystery to solve along with April. This new series is well crafted and you are wanting to know more of the characters lives and interactions. Will Hentie learn the truth about April? A must read for followers of Rosie.

I received an ARC and this is my voluntary review. I truly enjoy reading these books and getting to know the characters, but I especially love the towns that Delta winds up in especially this time that she is in Cakesville, Wisconsin because I would love to go to that town if it's real because I would love to say I live in Cakesville, Wisconsin. Delta is trying to be under cover but it 's like the murderers know that she is an undercover agent because the bodies seem to be stacking up around Delta.

It's nearly Halloween at April, Brian, Hentie and Barkington's latest town Cakeville while staying at in Cakeville Chateau but the decades unsolved Halloween Murders foreshadow the towns Halloween, will the new Sheriff solve it with his task force. A murder occurs across the street from the Chateau. April and Hentie are fascinated by the Halloween Murders and investigate. There's a development with April and Oliver. Hentie leaves mid Mystery to be with her husband in Texas.

A really fun Halloween read with just enough creepy goodness mixed in. I was suspicious about someone who did end up being the perp, although I hadn’t figured out any details. As always, it was too cool reading about April and all her spy gear and how she served up justice for this town. It looks like they’ll be on the road again though. Can’t wait to find out more!

Berry Tipple Murder

I love this series of books. The characters are so colorful and interesting. April is out to solve the Halloween murders, but has to stay out of the limelight due to her secret identity. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Fantastic

I loved this book. A murder killing on or near Halloween and a spy on the run. Which one come out the victor.
