Elizabeth and Tom's wedding is nearly here. Family, friends, and festivities are all around in Sherman, Wyoming. . . But so is murder. And Elizabeth and her KWMT-TV cohorts past and present are soon drawn into finding answers to more questions than "Will you take this man . . . ?"
It starts when, a week before their wedding, an Army colonel walks up to Elizabeth’s KWMT-TV desk and says a retired sergeant is missing. Except the evidence points to his having died when his cabin burned down. So why does the colonel say he’s missing?
Murder or celebration? Wedding or whodunit? Love or justice? How does Elizabeth juggle those priorities? And – the other vital question -- will she get to the church on time?

The literary treatment of HEAD ROOM was fun - two whole separate stories in one book 😄. The mystery was complex with lots of suspects, clues, and red herrings. And Elizabeth’s version of dealing with her wedding was so — Elizabeth! I love all these recurring characters!! I thoroughly enjoyed this stand alone addition to the Caught Dead in Wyoming series. I hope there will be more in the future. I reviewed a free Advance Reader Copy of this book with no strings attached.
Elizabeth is just a few days before her wedding when a mystery is placed before her. A burned corpse is found in a cabin but a friend believes that the dead man is not who everyone believes it must be. Elizabeth’s mother and her groom’s daughter have her on a tight schedule for a wedding that will continue over multiple days at multiple sites. But Elizabeth is a reporter and is fine-tuned to seeking the truth—and to multi-tasking. The story bounces from present to past as Elizabeth reads a historical novel penned by the now-deceased wife of the supposed victim. The story is about soldiers; the supposed victim is a veteran connected with other veterans living off-grid nearby. Is there a connection? So much to figure out and so little time. Readers of the series will enjoy seeing the relationship between Tom and Elizabeth result in marriage with all the characters to whom readers have been introduced in the audience.
She’s going to the Chapel and She’s gonna be Married.
I have loved Patrica McLinn since (Caught Dead in Wyoming, Book 1). I will sometimes pick a book solely because of the title, I’m strange like that. But back this book, once again Patrica has found a mystery Elizabeth feels like she has to solve days before her wedding, of course. I will not be going on about how beautifully this book is written. Nor will I bore you with names and who did what to whom. Simply put I loved the book and so will you.
This has to be Patricia McLinn's best Caught Dead in Wyoming yet. We actually find out that Elizabeth Margaret has met Kit and Sheila (from her other series) so hopefully we there will be a crossover story at some point. As she prepares for her wedding, the team find another urgent mystery, and the best clues are in an unpublished author's manuscript. There are no dull or embarrassing moments, but sheer brilliance and the joy such a talented writer can bring to a reader.

A fire, a dead body, and a manuscript leads to this mystery. On top of that the wedding of Tom and Elizabeth. This is a little slower paced the the other ones in this series, but still worth reading.
This series books can be read alone, but better if in order.
Having followed this series from the beginning it was gratifying to get to their wedding day. Great characters and interesting plots. Looking forward to the next book.
I have read almost all of Patricia's books. There is not a one that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. But I think this series is my favorite. Waited a long time for this one-----but it was well worth it! ---And as I said above , I didn't want it to end!
Fabulous read. This is my very favorite in the series so far. I think if you read it, you will more than agree. But let you find out for yourselves and not ruin it for anyone. I eagerly will await the next book. Loved it.
