The story is largely a romantic tale that incorporates violent elements of war and crime. The crime aspect focuses on the political side with a conspiracy that resembles more of a science fiction story. The author complicated the conspiracy too much, to the point where it became ridiculous.
Lots of action. many twists (not very believable)

One also needs to get used to the fact that although the entire story is told in first person, it alternates between the man's and the woman's perspective. It's quite confusing.

On top of that, this period of late 2024, it's difficult to read stories that mention both the President and Vice President. Because immediately, the senile figure of Biden or his not particularly intelligent vice president comes to mind.
