Unbroken Promises by M. George picks up the pieces and somehow manages to turn the tension, danger and emotional chaos up another notch. 🖤
Theo Giovanni has spent years keeping his darkest secrets buried. He's built a life in the NHL, kept his family history out of the spotlight and tried to put the past exactly where it belongs.
But the past has other ideas.
Danica Ellis is no longer the girl Theo remembers. Seven years have changed her, and I loved seeing just how much stronger and more determined she has become. She's learned to fight her own battles, stand on her own two feet and refuse to be controlled by anyone.
Unfortunately, neither of them gets the chance to simply move on.
Blackmail. A dangerous stalker. Vengeance. Family secrets. Old wounds being ripped wide open.
Basically… peace was never an option. 😂
Watching Theo and Danica being thrown back together while everything around them starts unraveling made this such an addictive read. There are moments where you're desperate for them to trust each other, moments where you're questioning who can be trusted, and moments where you just want to yell at the pages because HOW DID WE GET HERE?!
What I especially loved was Danica's strength. Her journey from the woman Theo remembers to the woman standing beside him now gives their relationship so much more depth. This isn't simply about finding your way back to someone. It's about facing what broke you, reclaiming yourself and deciding what you're willing to fight for.
And the suspense kept me turning those pages because every answer seemed to uncover another question.
Unbroken Promises gave me the danger, emotion, secrets and romance I was hoping for, while bringing Theo and Danica's story to a satisfying conclusion.
