📖 Review: Changing Tides: Shifting Moon Saga Book 2 📕

I honestly didn’t expect Changing Tides to pull me in this fast-but once it did, I couldn’t put it down.
Picking up right where the first book left off, Hope Worthington throws Remy and Logan into an even darker, more unpredictable world. What I loved most is how the “fresh start” at a Southern California university quickly unravels.
That feeling of something being off-classmates with hidden motives, strange events happening just out of sight-kept me constantly on edge. It reminded me of that uneasy vibe you get in shows where no one can be trusted, and I was hooked.
The mix of settings was another highlight. From the sunny campus life to the eerie back alleys of New Orleans, the atmosphere shifts beautifully and keeps things feeling fresh. The inclusion of ancient Roman deities and voodoo elements added a unique twist to the magic system-it felt layered and intriguing without being overwhelming.
I also appreciated how Remy and Logan’s relationship is tested. It felt real-the tension, the trust issues, the emotional stakes. At times I wished the pacing slowed down just a bit to explore certain moments more deeply, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
If you enjoy YA fantasy with romance, mystery, and a darker magical edge, you’ll definitely want to continue this series. I’d absolutely recommend it-and I’m already looking forward to the next book.

This sequel was amazing! Remy and Logan shine in this young adult read as their bond is put to the test. The ending of book one brought a sense of peace and that all the crazy was behind our beloved couple. Ha! Hope gave just as much chaos and danger as before.
As they move from high school to college, they believe all the drama is behind them. As they soon learn, college is filled with more danger, others wanting to pull them apart, and hidden agenda but with direr consequences than before. Their new friends aren’t what they seem, which makes knowing who to trust and who not even more challenging.
Remy and Logan, though, are as sweet as ever. Logan is so protective of Remy and she is truly able to be herself with him. There is no expectation of either of them towards the other, except, trust and believe me. This book definitely took them on a journey, both in the literature sense, but also all through the country. As their journey unfolds, they are tested, as in their destiny.
Hope writes a wonderful, shifter romance that is perfect for young adults. With low spice, this book allows a younger generation to fall in love with shifter storylines. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for book three in this series.

This book is so much better than the first! The dual POV, amazing. So easy to follow and see each others side of things. The story line, so much more intriguing and complicated. So glad the author found her rhythm in this book and wrote it. I love Remy and Logan. At first I was so skeptical of them falling so fast. But Logan’s protectiveness and watching over Remy, I love it. I love that Logan brings out who Remy truly is. She doesn’t have to pretend around him. Very cute story.

This was book 2 of the Shifting Moon Saga ... and in my honest opinion so much better than book 1. It took my right back in the story of Rem and Logan. More story, more detail, more originality. And a bigger hunger for book 3 that's for sure! I love the mix of shifting and magic and love ... and the promised darkness the next chapter will bring. I look forward to reading it!
