Having my birth mother back in my life? To say it's a big transition is an understatement. Especially when she's basically a stranger to me, and I'm not sure yet whether I can trust her to be any more maternal than the average fearmancer parent (which, spoiler, isn't much).

Unfortunately, the other barons aren't giving me time to ease into the situation. They've turned their sights on my fellow scions and newfound lovers, putting them under fire from far too close to home. As if that wasn't enough, an unsettling plan is unfolding that threatens every student on campus.

I'm starting to think there's more at stake here at Villain Academy than I ever suspected. While I'm facing uncomfortable revelations at every turn, can I find the strength to protect everyone I care about?

*Foul Conjuring is the sixth book in a university-age paranormal academy series. Expect magical villainy, a tough heroine who bends to no one’s will, a dollop of steam, and a slow-burn enemies-to-lovers romance where there'll be no choosing required.*

We are now more than halfway through this series and this book has a lot going on. While I really liked that it seemed to pick up the pace and introduce some new obstacles, I'm also feeling a little worried that not everything is going to wrap up with the amount of books there are left. Either that or everything will be rushed.

This book brings many new challenges for Rory to face. Her mother is back and she doesn't seem to be the nurturing type that Rory hoped she would be. Also, something is off with Connar as he returns to school hating Rory and believing that she's bewitched them all. On top of all this, the school is now allowing the students to use magic openly on the Naries as long as their minds are wiped after. Whew. Talk about problems.

I think I've been saying this for the past few books now, but I really enjoy seeing these friendships come to life. Especially in this one in the way they all rally around Connar to try to help him. Between that and Jude finally revealing his secret to the group, you can really feel how connected they all are with each other - and not just sexually.

I'm not sure how I feel about Rory's mother though. Part of me believes there's more going on inside of her head then what we see and she's just being very cautious about showing the other barons, but then she'll do something that makes me think she's exactly like Malcolm's father. So I have a feeling as her relationship grows with Rory we will uncover more secrets.

Now onto the next one...

This morning, when I picked up this book, I had this really strange feeling. I wanted to know what was gonna happen. I was excited to read more about Rory and her guys, about their adventures and their blossoming relationship. But I'm also slowly growing scared. I'm nearing the end of the series and the main plot is getting more and more dominant. For some reason I've grown so attached to the characters that I'm starting to get a little scared of what is gonna happen to them this time.

And rightly so. In the first chapter Chase literally places a bomb under one of the most solid relationships within the pentacle. I think I was just as shocked as Rory was, although we did have a little more information and I already feared something terrible had happened to Connor. I didn't need long to guess what the mini-arc of this book was gonna be. At least, I hoped so. I didn't wanna think of Connor being in this state for longer than one book!

However, the task of finding a way to get Connor to become his old self again wasn't as huge as the tasks in the previous books, but all the more was happening in the main storyline. Rory is getting more and more involved in the politics and it's a lot of fun to see her scheming and planning and trying to play the game. I die about a million times when reading it, terrified that something terrible is gonna happen to her, but she's holding up somehow okay.

With this series Eva Chase has once again written an amazing story though. Everything about it works. The relationships, the politics, the world building, the mystery, the smaller arcs combined with the big arc and, most of all, the characters. During the first book I never thought I'd care this much about the guys. But it happened. I started caring about them. A lot. And with even more nervousness and fear I will read the next, pre-last, book in the series next week.

Connar returns to school absolutely HATING Rory. It is clear that he is under a similar spell to the one that once controlled her advisor, but the Scions can't get close enough to Connar to attempt to break it. Meanwhile, something fishy is happening at school. There are a lot of new Nary students brought in and it appears that some of the faculty are encouraging open use of magic against them, violating a previous rule. Once Rory and the other Scions get wind of it, they trace the change to the Barons, leading Rory to learn that her mother is no better than the other Scion parents when it comes to having their heirs "fall in line".

I'm still enjoying this series. This one was probably a 3 1/2 star book. I liked how all the Scions rallied around curing Connar even though it was a difficult task. The cruelty of the fearmancer society, particularly how abusive the parents are to their kids, is starting to wear on me. I really need Rory to score a victory as far as decency goes soon, otherwise, I may begin to lose interest.

This series is really dragging. How has the story only progressed six months over 6 books?

I'm wondering how the story will conclude with only two books left when it seems like there hasn't really been any progress towards the ongoing conflict between the scions and the barons.

Hopefully I'm less bored with the next book!

I didn't finish reading it, I was too bored.

It started out absolutely amazing with the first book. Eva Chase glued me to my seat, her book in hand, from the very first sentence in the first chapter. Then I got to know Rory Franco, born as Persephone Bloodstone, kidnapped when she was just two years old. She lives in the 'normal' world where you have the Joymancers and the Fearmancers . I thought that was an interesting spin on the whole magical realm because I 'd never heard of this before.

Like the names imply, Joymancers conjure magic through joyous feelings people around them feel. And Fearmancers draw their magic by instilling fear in others. Be it fellow mages or Naries, which is basically a muggle. The more I read the books, the more I hate the word Naries .

Then she goes to Blood University, where she finds out that she is wealthy. The school is being kept afloat by her bank account so she's Rockefeller-one-percent-Illuminati rich.

Book one was great, I loved it. Book 2 was okay, but yeah, not quite what I wanted to read. By book 3 I was about bored of her fucking three men instead of honing her skills. They said she is the most talented and most powerful mage in the school, but now in book 5, the only magical thing about her seems to be her slit, as she refers to it in the book. Four guys love and adore her so much that they are willing to share her. It doesn't matter if they only have a piece of her, as long as they can have her. They love her so much that her happiness is more important, even if it means sharing her with three other guys at the same time.

Okay, maybe I'm being so sarcastic because I had a lot of bad sex in my teens. Where were Malcolm, Connar, Jude, and Declan when I needed them? If they were in their mid to late twenties, the hot sex between them would have been believable.

I'm just tired of her fucking four guys and doing mediocre magic. Do them both or do none.

Oh, I am sorry the mouse died. I distrusted her for most of the books, but she might have been a good guy. I hope Rory finds a new familiar soon... if she's not too busy getting lost in a cause that doesn't drive the plot forward. Now I'm so bored of her naivete... it's just to fill pages.

The series lost its momentum. The five books could have been cropped into three. I think the story is being dragged too much.

I did like her getting it on with Malcolm. That's about all I liked about it. And if I were to continue reading the last two books in the series (which I will, I'm too invested now, and I want her to choose Malcolm in the end), I'd only skip to the chapters concerning Malcolm.

Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Okay I am six books deep into the Royals of Villain Academy series and so much has gone down, I don't know what the hell is gonna happen but I am totally here for it. Eva knows how to write a damn good story and I am so invested at this point, I just don't know what to do with myself.

Spoilers for previous books...

Rory's life for the past six months (yes, it has only been six months..) hasn't been easy. Between losing people, getting used to a whole new culture, going up against some powerful people Rory has dealt with a lot and it's not over with yet. Rory is one of the most strong-willed optimistic characters I have ever read about but this semester might be starting to get to her. Connor is acting strangely, the barons are still asshats and now the unknown variable that is her mother is in play.

I was stressed pretty much throughout this book, the scions were just starting to come together and I love how they have all bonded and are starting to trust each other a little more when they are through for a loop and I hate the divided that appeared. Then Rory has to deal with the emotional complications of her birth-mother, a woman that is actually a stranger and add on the fact that she is a baron in the fearmancer society, Rory is walking in a minefield. Then add in all the other factors that happen I was incredibly invested and stressed.

In Foul Conjuring things have been so amplified, the fearmancers and their outrageousness, the steamy scenes, family complications and the barons furthering their evil agenda. So much has happened in such a short time but it doesn't seem to be coming to an end just yet. Rory is up against some really powerful mages and the general ideals of fearmancer society itself, it's a good thing Rory has her guys standing by her but I don't know if they will be able to pull it off. I think the series is starting to wind down now, with only two books left. Up ext is Grim Witchery, I am dying to know how Eva will wrap up this series but I am here for it.

As usual this book met my expectations like the others. Rory continues her journey and tries to uncover the truth about the Barony. He mother comes back to good health and is not what she expected. Her mother is cruel and manipulative. Her mother lsaves her in the dungeon of one of the class rooms that shows you fear and she uses it kind of like a torture device and locks her in there until her teachers are able to get her out after an hour. Rory becomes even closer with the 4 scion men and tells Jude she will marry him when they are both able to seeing as he is not the true Killbrook heir and the title of Baron will be going to his unborn sister. There is quite a bit of sex, but just enough for this story. It's a bit strange reading about 4 characters being intimate at one time but it happens in the real world so why not have it in a book right? Rory discovers new secrets and truths and decides to take them head on. Her, Jude, Malcom and Declan also save Connor from the terrible spell his parents placed on him. In the end we are left with Rory meeting up with her mother and pretending to be the perfect little scion her mother wants so she can get closer to her and overtake her. Overall a great story.

Get them Rory!

I am so happy that Imogen's killer was finally brought to justice, and in such a sneaky way lol. Rory has dealt with so much and it just keeps coming. Between the barons, some of the staff, and poor Conner..she really had her hands full. Obviously it isn't anything she can't handle! So far I am not liking the fact that her mother is around, she is just as viscous as the others are. I really hope for for us sake that her mother could have a change of heart but if not...well let's just say she can burn like the rest of them should. The ending was yet again perfect, I can't wait to see what Rory and her guys will do next!

This story just keeps getting better. More plots by the barrons are revealed and Rory is trying to get to know her mother. Her and the boys have a lot to deal with as they work toward their ultimate goal.

Still hanging in there, but I'm ready for this series to get wrapped up. I think I wrote in a previous review that I like Chase's writing, but I find I have trouble the deeper I get into a series. After having just 5-starred Chase's entire Legends Reborn series, I think the problem is stretching out the stories too long. I like a tight story, and these feel lost in plot sometimes with drama thrown in just to have it thrown in to draw out the overarching plot. Maybe it'll all tie in and make sense at the end, but because the series is so long, it's hard to reconcile and see how that happens. Because the story is drawn out with additional drama rather than character development - Rory is the same as she ever was even if the boys are learning that all people should be seen as equal - it just starts to feel monotonous and vaguely like a soap opera.

Things just got a lot more dangerous

This was the toughest book in the series for me so far, from situation involving one of the guys and Rory's mother. And, now that Rory's mother is back, we can see the potential danger she poses - I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what she'll do or how she'll react.

This book was rather convoluted in my opinion. A lot is going on both with Rory and her guys, as well as with her Mom and the Baron’s. Information that had only been known to us as readers is starting to be revealed to other characters, and plots and machinations abound.

It’s still a good story to read, but I think it could have been structured in a way that was less muddled. Solid 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve made it my mission to finish this book series, it has spend way too long sitting in my kindle library. I keep coming and going from it and while that approach works with some series, it really doesn’t for this.

This is book 6 in an 8-book series, and I have some thoughts. Firstly, I found myself thinking that it was dragging on a little. Towards the final section of the book, I found myself loosing focus and slipping out of engagement.

The characters have changed again. The majority sit on the ‘grey’ character scale. But we have new interlopers.

As usual, Rory is leading the team with her bizarre level of strength, determination, and resilience that can only come together on the page of a book. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy book heroines so much, because they can survive more than a realistic human can. I’ll say this for Rory, she has ups and downs, she has moments that have the ability to shatter her, but she handles it gracefully. She handles it with a level head and she’s starting to understand the benefits of playing the long game.
Connar, who you could argue was the first to make Rory smile goes through a challenging time in this book. Whisked away by his mother, he comes back with a different personality. A personality that is particularly aggressive when it comes to Rory. It’s a lot for her to handle. Luckily for Connar, he has Rory and the other scions on his side, and they work together to help him ‘see the light’ again, if you will.

Jude also goes through a lot but in a more subtle way – until he spills all at least. Jude has been carrying a secret upon his shoulders that has severely weighed down his shoulders. Rory (and the reader) have known this secret for quite a time, but the other scions were in the dark. I always wondered when this secret would be revealed and how the other scions would react to it – I was not disappointed.

Declan takes a sort of back seat in this book, I think at lot of what he has gone through and overcome was smaller in comparison to the other characters, so in this book especially, while they are trying to overcome their difficulties, his character takes a backseat. We do see some interaction between him and his younger brother Noah who has finally arrived at Blood U, but this mostly just cements what we already knew of Declan as a character.

Malcom, who I have hated, and now grudgingly accept is now a morally grey character. Something I never thought I would be able to say about him. His complete 180-character shift has at times, felt forced and not character canon. I definitely feel like there could have been more depth involved in his character shift to make it feel less sudden than it was. I also think Rory could have explored more of her depth and twisted feelings for him as the shift occurred – but clearly Eva Chase had other plans – which is fine also.

Althea. Now, she’s new. SPOILERS (skip the next 2 paragraphs if you don’t want to know).

Althea is Rory’s birth mother, found alive at the end of book 5. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting from this character but with a Malcom shaped hate hole in my heart, I now have a new target to fill it. I’m not even sure why I was surprised, knowing that in the past her mother and Baron Nightwing got on like a house on fire. I suppose I expected more emotion from a family reunion who has spent the last eighteen years apart. I do not like Althea one bit. She is designed that way. She is written that way. But as a reader I don’t know what her deal is. I don’t know what her opinions are. I don’t know what she champions and what she detests. Other than falling in with the views of the other villainous Barons, I have no clue as to her personality. Her interactions with Rory put nothing at ease. There is a particular moment in this book where her actions directly impact Rory in a negative manner and there have been very few times when I’ve read a book where I want to yank a character through the pages of a book and flail them alive! I DON’T LIKE HER.

Rory’s expectations of her mother’s return were as curious as the readers but quickly snuffed out like a burning flame. The addition of her birth mother has added a level of complexity to Rory’s character that I didn’t know was required to set the plot up for some big (final) crescendo ending. What that final ending will be – I haven’t the foggiest idea – but her presence has at least urged Rory’s character to adapt and evolve into a new era of self. I think it will take all of Rory’s training thus far, to be able to play the long game and come out on top.

No more spoilers now.

I feel like we’re on the home stretch now with the series, but everything is geared up to create havoc rather than calmed down to make a peaceful ending. I don’t want to say that ‘anything is possible’ but I do envision several possible ways in which the series to work towards before making a final descent. My hope, of course, is for a HEA but at what cost? I’m not so sure.

The Pentacle of Scions has some old and new ordeals to overcome

I listened to the audiobook and both narrators once again did a perfect job. Love that the entire series (so far at least but I expect the following two will be narrated by these two as well if all goes well) is narrated by the same female and male voice (sorry, their names have escaped me atm).

Story: Eventhough the Pentacle of Scions has been weakened in a most unsupected way (well the ending of book 5 made it clear but I mean unsuspecting for the other Scions), they come together the best they can to try and overcome the problem they now face. But beside that problem it is clear there is still something major that can either crush their Pentacle or their bond altogether or make it tighter than ever before.

Meanwhile Rory is adjusting to life with a Fearmancer parent.

At the academy there has been a major change in how the Naries (non magical people, short for ordinary, they’re also more commonly called Feebs after feeble) are being used to an extreme extend to boost the fearmancers powers. Instead of not openly doing magic in front of Naries (or however it’s spelled, I listened to the audiobook), a secret project has been started to see whether an all-out scare tactic with openly throwing the scariest illusions to them or even other real dangerous tactics to juice more power for those fearmancers. After the sessions the Naries’ memories are wiped, but they don’t seem to be taking to that treatment well, walking around dazed and all.
The new project goes directly against the Fearmancer society’s and the Academy’s policy to not openly do magic in front of the Naries.

Rory has her hands full trying to protect the Naries somehow. But it might be a loosing battle, when it’s clear just how far the Barons are willing to go to get a certain change, this project seems only the first in many changes to come. After all, they see the Naries as only feeble minded creatures that are beneath them.
I enjoyed the story, felt like it all came together in a natural way, a fast paced story that got me hooked from start to finish. Now on to book 7!

I knew book 6 was going to break my heart because of the unknown with Connar but boy was I not ready!! He was one of my favs (along with Jude) so this was a big hit to my feelings but I knew things would turn out ok because Eva wouldn’t do us like that haha. I wont go into specifics because I don’t want to ruin it but the way Connar is manipulated is devastating and really hard to read after knowing how close he and Rory got. Loved how the others came together to destroy the hold on him and get everyone back on track. I ended up listening on and I was happy to see the person who did it to Connar get their just reward hahaha.

I loved the sexy scenes in this book, not gonna lie! I loved the group event and was sad Connar wasnt there but I really enjoyed their dynamic and how everyone was included, and Malcolm shows his tentativeness until Rory made sure he knew he was welcomed. And I have to say, the power the two can do that is faux touching is really hot (I would be mush if that could be done in really life, such a turn on haha). I liked how Rory and the guys opened up with one another, growing more as a pentacle but as a family.

Other things that were a highlight was Lillian finally getting some karmic justice, exciting to see Rory’s mom continue to spiral (made for a good plot). I think the hardest thing to listen to, which made me stop because I was getting emotional, was how Rory’s mom treated her/punished her. I am glad it wasnt all in vain, since she gained some allies along the way.

In terms of narration, I thought the narrators did a fabulous job as always. No complaints from me. I could feel the angst, pain, and love throughout the audiobook. 5/5 from me, these 2 are definitely on my 1-click narrator list.

Definitively recommend this series! This was probably my least favorite of the series, just because of what Connar was going through, but still a 4 stars! Already finished the series so gonna go review 7 and 8 shortly ❤️

I received an advance copy from the author.

So, we’re up to number six! I had so many questions after the last book and I’m happy to say that they’ve all been answered. Foul Conjuring was, once again, more of a filler book, but only because so much happened in the last one and those changes needed to be established properly. Eva Chase did a superb job with that (which is nothing less than I expected and honestly, I don’t even think I need to say it anymore but I will) so, while it was filler-y, it was no less engaging. There was all this tension that wasn’t exactly simmering, more like lying dormant. It was there but only subtly, and was masterfully created in my opinion.

There wasn’t as much action as I would have liked because of the filler stuff though. While I did enjoy the book and was engaged by it, I also didn’t feel the same urgency to finish it as I have for previous books in the series. Which, again, is completely understandable given that it was largely filler content and setting up for the next books, but after all the action in the last one, it was a little disappointing that Foul Conjuring didn’t hold my attention as much as the other books.

For once, however, we didn’t end on a cliff-hanger! I’m still itching to get my hands on the next one, but that’s because we were left with a promise, and I know the next instalment will definitely deliver. Now I just have to wait………………… (cries silently).

Still going strong!

Baron Bloodstone is back. Rory is faced with not only the unknown of her mom's stance on good or bad. But now even more challenges. Will she overcome everything?

This is the sixth book in the Royals of Villain Academy series and this one is one of my favorites. The little spicy scenes we got had my eyebrows raised and wondering if I could join the whole harem. The plot was a little different with Rory's mom now in play. This book just really brought the scions together and truly showed them leaning on one another.

Rory is and always will be one of my favorite FMC. She is so fierce. She is so strong. She continues to fight for what she believes in. She continues to love and support her men. I just really cannot wait for her character to go off and fight the biggest battle of all.

Connar this book had me so emotional. Jude ALWAYS has me emotional, let’s be real, this man is the teddy bear. Malcolm finally becoming a better person. Declan still is good ole Declan. I HATE their parents and I cannot wait till they stand up to them. Ugh!! I need it now!

Only two more left!!!! I am still going strong. I am still fully invested and I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself once it’s over. I’m on to the next one. If you haven’t already given this series a chance, go do it now, you won’t regret this!!

Seems the return of Rory's mother has not caught her a break from her enemies and they have continued the onslaught. Adjusting to having a parent is also a new thing for her and will take some adjustment to work out how things are going to work between them. Now the fellow scions (and her lovers) are becoming targets of the barons too which is going to bring things into a whole new level of complication between them all. It then becomes apparent that the Baron's latest plan for the whole community will threaten them all, their way of life, and everyone she cares about. Can Rory handle all of these complications and still keep her sanity (let alone protect those she cares about)??

Wow - this was full-on with all the plotting, setbacks and complications. I wondered how Rory managed to keep on top of everything and moving in the right direction but somehow she did. Well written and very enjoyable. It was clearly written and easy to understand. You need to have read the other books in the series in order to understand the underlying story.

Yowza! By far the MOST suspense filled book in the series. With her mother back everything has been turned on its head. Nothing is as it seems. Rory and the guys don't know who they can trust as a group. With recent events it seems nobody outside them is safe. But when one of their own starts acting completely out of the norm, they know they have to find a way to bring their usual self back. I'm sure with all the twists in this book, that Rory is now thankful for what she'd endured in previous books. After all it helped prepare her for the biggest fight to date. At least this time she wasn't in it alone. Looks like things are gearing up to get nasty in the next book. Goodness knows what the elder actions have in store! Yet they've completely underestimated the younger actions and their determination. After all they've got something the older set don't... Friendship and respect for each other. If a war is brewing, my money is on Rory and the younger scions. I can't wait to see what's next!

The Barons are up to no good, but now that Rory’s mom is back will she find a sympathetic ally?
Rory doesn’t know what to expect now that her mother has been recovered, but if the others parents are any indication, she’s not in for sunshine and roses. Does she have any affection for a daughter she doesn’t know? Is she a tyrant like her good friend, Baron Nightwood? She’s going to need the support and comfort of her fellow Scions- things are starting to heat up with Malcolm, but Connar is not acting like himself. Meanwhile, more Naries have shown up on campus and Rory discovers the disturbing reason why.
I really like this series, and though it’s a long one (8 total when finished) I don’t feel like the story is lagging in parts with a lot of unnecessary filler. Each of the male scions is a distinct character that grows with the story. The steamy scenes are excellent, and there is one in particular this time that should satisfy a lot of the readers. Another excellent addition to the series

Book: Foul Conjuring
Author: Eva Chase
Recommend: Yes
Spice: 🌶️ 🌶️
Age recommendation: 16-30+ Years

Plot:
Rory is learning to live with her mother back in the picture. Rory mother refuses to call her by the preferred name, and likes to teach her a “lesson” like the other barons teach there children. With bulling and violence. Conner gets taken away by his mother who places a spell on him to hate Rory, so they have to attack him o take it off him to get him back to normal.
Rory has to learn how to survive around her mother and her Harem with the new player on the board. The harem is finally all set up and everyone is now involved.

My feelings:

I wasn’t that interested in this book. I feel like the story is now being drag out to make the 8 books. It would have been good if it had ended at 6.

Rory came into her power in this book. I don’t mean it with her literal power (she’s working on it), but because she trusts herself and always finds the best option to fend for others and herself.
It’s crazy because the joymancers judged her for being a Bloodstone, and the fearmancers did the same because she was raised theirs enemies. And she proved to both that she is neither, she is herself and that’s it.
With everything that has being done to her (including Athea…) has made her stronger and has learned a lot of lessons. I think that’s the reason she handles every situation with intelligence.
The relationship with the guys has turned out amazing. I love the support they give each other. The guys are there for her no matter what, and vice versa. And also, the friendship Malcom, June, Declan and Connar is amazing and so cute.
There are certain characters that had an improvement this book, can’t wait for the next one!

this was a two star until they finally put an end to the connor narrative. again, something that was just completely pointless honestly. so now rory has used her magical prize & we don’t get to see it actually be used in any type of a cool manner. there were so many other avenues of conflict that could have been explored man.

the connor narrative literally held no purpose other than just creating an unnecessary conflict. okay cool, so she had just one less dude to have sex with for most of the book. **eye roll** i was so fed up with it that i started skimming just to get through the damn thing

just kind of feels like she didn’t know how to keep up the momentum in the latter half of this series. there was so much with rory’s mom that could have been explored rather than just making connor a little b*tch for less than a book. here’s hoping these last two actually bring it all together so it wasn’t all for nothing.

Audio book review

This story will have you wondering what is next for the mates, at the end of book 5 Conner comes back hostile with Rory and his 3 fellow Scions. They don’t know what brought out the change but they suspended evil doing . Also in book 5 Rory mother was saved from the Joymancer , Rory mother regains her strength and demonstrated her evil side with Non Magical people . Rory tries to stand up to her and Rory gets a lesson from Baron Blackstone.
No matter what Rory , Malcom , Declan and Jude try to help Connor he snarls at them . Do they find a way to save him from the strong spell Connors mother has over him . A big victory for Rory is , she lead her mother through hints to get the person who framed her for the murder

Meg Sylvan and Stephen Dexter were fantastic. Their individual voices for each character was spot on . Very smooth, strong and clear .

What are you waiting for? This is Book 6!!

On the off chance that you're a crazy reader that still needs to be hyped into reading Book 6 of Eva Chase's Royals of Villain Academy Series, I'm here to help... for what it's worth.
In Foul Conjuring, Chase gives our MFC, Rory Bloodstone, a sickening taste of what it is like being the child of a fearmancer. With Rory's birth mother back in the picture, what one would think to be a lessening of pressure becomes a new twisted nightmare all of it's own. Not only does Rory still have to contend with the Baron's, she has to learn how her mother will play into everything. Eva Chase plays a mean game when it comes to writing this series. Never failing to add new twists and turns to the mix, she even signs off this book with her customary cliffhanger! Highly recommended read, so go for it! I loved it and think you will too!

Royals of Villain Academy 6: Foul Conjuring
By:Eva Chase 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.

There is so much going on in this book I don't know were to begin. The whole Connar thing had my stomach in knots for around 75% of the book. Rory getting to know her birth mother had my emotions on a rollercoaster. When Rory's mother decides she is going to punish Rory, I was seeing red I was so mad. Jude finally tells the guys his secret, which was about time. The plan Rory comes up with at the end has me excited about book 7! That is going to be interesting! 💜💜

•••••• I highly recommend this book/series! ••••••

These stories feel like short reads which might be why I feel that not much really happens in them as far as the progression of the storyline. Looking back at the beginning of the series the progression is obvious but in each book it’s less so. The storylines tend to have a weak climax making the ending seem sudden and unfulfilled. I did like the story better than some of the previous but that had more to do with the love pentagon than the actual story. I do LOVE the RH factor in this which I wasn’t honestly aware of when I started reading the series. But the author has done an amazing job with that aspect that I find the love situation pretty believable, even Malcom, who I had my doubts about in the beginning.
