The conclusion of the savage, sensual Surrender trilogy in which betrayal, pain, and vengeance threaten to destroy a passion between two damaged souls…
Evelyn “Scout” Keats thought she finally found her long-sought happiness in billionaire Lucian Patras. But even though Lucian has always treated her like a queen, she has discovered she is nothing more than a pawn in his own secret game.
Worse, her long-time friend and supposed shining knight, Parker Hughes has also used her for his own interests by playing a part in Lucian’s game. Everyone’s honor is suspect, and no one can be trusted. It is Scout’s worst nightmare come to life.
As she struggles to comprehend the cost of a broken heart and the value of love, she must choose, once and for all, how much her pride can endure—and how much she is willing to risk to be truly happy.

It’s Evelyn and Lucian’s last book! What can we expect in this last installment?
Angst! Drama, A lot of fighting and STEAM
But it wouldn’t be a Lydia Michaels read if it wasn’t.
Coming Home starts where Breaking Out left off. Evelyn is angry with Lucian for giving her away to Parker. Let me just say it. Evelyn isn’t my favorite person right now. I’m kind of angry with Lucian as well. Why didn’t Lucian just tell Evelyn why he was giving her away? Also, why can’t Evelyn just see Lucian’s side and move forward?
So Evelyn can’t get past Lucian’s abandonment and she decides to move out. Of course this makes all Mr. Dominate Lucian crazy mad, but what can he do? Evelyn doesn’t have a penny to her name so she “borrows” money from Lucian to help her get back on her feet. I also didn’t understand this. I get why she had to borrow money but I didn’t get why she needed independence. She’s kind of doing the opposite of what she wants to do, but that’s just me.
Don’t fret Lucian and Evelyn are not apart for long. I mean, Lucian has to grovel for forgiveness and Evelyn has to find herself. The thing that had my hair ripping out was just all the drama. Evelyn is so dead set in taking care of herself, she doesn’t see how wonderful Lucian is. Yes, Lucian is a bit bossy and kind of overbearing, but he wouldn’t be the Hero if he wasn’t.
Towards the middle, Coming Home shifts and I welcome this change of pace and scene. I feel like Lucian and Evelyn’s story is building into something more and it’s kind of nice. I could have cared for less though. I was ready to wrap things up around the 70% mark, but we got a bit of extra I guess.
If you are a fan of the series, you will want to be there for the end. It's a crazy ride!
An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review
"Scout? Come on, child. It’s getting dark.” Scout turned as her mother came out of the house without windows. Boards with swirled graffiti filled each socket, eyes to a home without a soul. Dropping the piece of onion grass she’d been nibbling on, Scout stood, her gaze drawn back to the children across the way. “Momma, what’s that place there?” Her mother righted her clothing and stashed a bag of her medicine in her pocket. “That ain’t nothing you gots to be worrying about.” Scout regarded the children running over the blacktop, their laughter floating on the breeze and teasing her in ways she didn’t understand. “But why’s all them kids there?” Her mother huffed. “That’s a school, baby. Thems is there to learn.” “Learn what?” “Nothin’ you need to know. We different. Now come on.” Her small fingers were swallowed in her mother’s bony hand as she was pulled down the sidewalk back toward the tracks. Each time she glanced back at the school, her mother tugged her along.
I loved this trilogy so much. It was very different from others I have read, mostly because it brought me in a world we see from outside but don't have an insight. Reading about homeless people's life was revealing in so many ways. How basic the life of this people is...I was in tears every time Evelyn enjoyed simple things we usually have but we don't appreciate. Like sleeping in a mattress for the first time or having a bath or a shower for the first time, struggling to understand letters because she couldn't read...even when Lucien wrote her love notes...she made my heart ache for her. Evelyn 'Scout' has such a rich soul that empowers the poor life she has. This girl is such a fighter and her fragility is disarming. The third book of this trilogy was amazing!! I loved the first book so much, I was a bit disappointed with book 2 because Evelyn didn't show the strength she had in book 1 and also because she did some stupid things and hurt Lucien a lot when he didn't deserve all that, he made a mistake too but it was out of love.
But book 3 brought back the Evelyn of book 1 or even a better one someone who wasn't anymore afraid of love and I was totally happy to see her being herself again and showing Lucien all her love.
Lucien is such an amazing and fascinating man and an incredible hero. He's the constant of this trilogy. He never disappointed me and the way he loved Evelyn was so complete, he made me fall for him! :DD I will miss reading about them. They belong to those characters that stay with the reader for a long time.
luv luv luv this book everything i ve wanted 2 know in the last 2 book was in this 2 thank god cause i needed 2 know this story as been a whirlwind but an amazin 1 i so luv lucian he is just so hot an very sexy an the chemistry him an evelyn/scout is HOT REALLY HOT
at the begin the of this book i felt so sorry 4 evelyn/scout cause she was just so lost after findin out what parker an lucian had done but her luv 4 lucian was so strong an she want 2 b with him but she just didnt want 2 get hurt again there was so many parts in this book that had me happy an sad but i m glad we found out about certain things overall the book was amazin i ve enjoyed every bit of it an the series is a whole was amazeballs i d recommend 2 anyone xxxx
In Coming Home, Lucian finds himself having to fight more for the woman he’s fallen in love with than he ever imagined. But the glimmer of hope we are given, is that some transgressions can’t be forgiven for all involved. Although both men have betrayed her, only one has the power of making her heart forget and forgive. But for Evelyn that forgiveness doesn’t come for free or even willingly, at first. Determined to make it on her own. To have something that is solely hers, she begins her journey of becoming the person she’s always known she should be.
Along this journey, Lucian is forced to accept that he can’t force her to bend to his every command. But in his own way he shows her the bliss that can come from surrendering to him. By gaining her trust yet again, he can show her for the first time in her life that someone loves her enough to take care of her, to keep her safe.
For all the heartache that came with book one and the angst that consumed me in book two, book three left me with a different feeling all together. Hope. That is the one word that I can grasp onto after finishing this book, this series. Evelyn’s character had an inner strength that was always there, even in the toughest of times it never truly wavered. And watching Lucian bend to her, for her was one of the greatest displays of love he could have shown her. The way this girl made him complete, the way he gave her everything she needed to break free from the life she was handed, showed her that no matter what she was born with, it didn’t mean that she couldn’t live with more.
Ms. Michaels gave us a story of struggle, heartache and love. Over the course of this series, I never faltered in my connection to these characters. I felt like I was there cheerleader on the sidelines, biting my nails as they came so close to the place I was craving them to be – so scared that one moment could spook her so badly that she’d be gone for good.
One thing is certain. With this book, you feel. You can’t escape feeling every moment. Evelyn’s character could have been painted with such a different brush. She could have been sad and hopeless... she could have been weak. Lucian could have been the only strength that she drew from. Their placement in the world would have allowed that setting to be realistic and easy. But this was not their story. In this wonderful world that Ms. Michaels created, Evelyn was the strength that Lucian drew from. He may have given her security, a roof, warm food, shelter... but in the end she gave him everything... The things that linger outside of the stretch of what his millions could afford. In Lucian’s world he had the means to have anything he could ever need, but love granted him the one thing he desired most of all.
From start to finish I could not put this series down. Typically when it comes to trilogies I tend to need a break between each book to absorb the story, to get lost in some other world for a little bit so I can return with appreciation, with this... it was not the case. Once I read the last word of one book I immediately began the first in the next. If you are looking for a love story where the characters are wonderfully developed, the story-line holds your attention and one that makes you feel something; this is a fantastic one to pick up.
Wow, this book was really really enjoyable. This was one of those books that I actually read really slowly, taking breaks at times but not because it lost my attention, but because it really caused me to savor the words, reflecting, imagining and visualizing the beauty of what Ms. Michaels was conveying. "Love was like piloting a jet through a mountain range, blind. It was freeing and exhilarating, but at the same time, at any second the person risking their life piloting that plane could crash and burn, shattering into nothing but dust - all for one glorious ride."
"'Soft, drifting flakes began to fall from the sky...I was too young to conceive how something so small and delicate could amount to something so...consuming. I realized, over time, that snow was like a blanket of white death for people without shelter, but in that moment it was just magic being sprinkled from the sky.'"
This was to me the best of the three books - focusing on just Lucien and Evelyn's POVs, starting off rocky but solidifying their connection and growth as characters as the book wore on. It was very multi-dimensional, detailed, well thought out, well paced, and of course well written. OH - and of course very erotic, the love scenes were extremely intimate. I think the only drawback I can consider with this book is just a very few minor details that I wished I had closure on But overall no complaints and a very strong 5 star conclusion to this great trilogy!
Hello world Hope you're listening Forgive me if I’m young For speaking out of turn There’s someone I’ve been missing I think that they could be The better half of me They’re in the wrong place trying to make it right But I’m tired of justifying So I say to you..
Come home Come home Cause I’ve been waiting for you For so long For so long Right now there's a war between the vanities But all I see is you and me The fight for you is all I’ve ever known So come home
Come Home by One Republic.
Evelyn really frustrated me for maybe about the first 30% of this book and then on and off throughout the first half... i understood she needed her independence to prove to herself she could stand on her own to feet but sometimes i really just wanted to give her a good shake. Luckily this didn't ruin the book for me as the rest of the story i thoroughly enjoyed. I simply adored Lucian.. and the way he loved and protected her like crazy. This book made me reach for the tissues then filled me with joy which is why i'm giving it 5 stars. A book that makes me feel so many emotions deserves even more but since i can only give 5 that's what it's getting! Bravo Lydia Michaels for writing such a great trilogy.
A great story with a steamy Alpha male LUCIAN PATRAS who looks exactly like this for me....
His female counterpart EVELYN SCOUT KEATS was a tough girl, quite younger than him, with a story that is totally wrecking and different than what you may imagine.
The whole story keeps you thrilled and for me it was much more than a simple "Pretty Women" story, although I thought that was what I was expecting to read here. But NOPE, not at all.
I liked that it was not a 'typical' love story where you know exactly they will get to each other in the end, cause just so much happens in these 3 books that you can't put it away.
For Lucian I felt all over the place most of the time. I didn't know if I shall hate him or love him. In most books I've read, I felt in love with the male right in the beginning, not in this one. But that's what I liked, he can do and say things that just pisses you off, or he's just as sweet as a dove.
This is what good writing is all about. I am perfectly contented with how the issues of each of the characters are resolved. I totally want a novella--Lucian and Evelyn as parents and happily married couple and all! Yup! That's how I'm crazy about this trilogy.
I was bored. This book could have been cut down and combined with a cut down version of book 2. I should have listened to my gut and stopped at #2. Hate when really good characters are trapped in a less than mediocre remake of a borrowed idea. Read this before and wasn't thrilled then. Definitely not now.
Save your money and stop at #1. Nothing much happens after that. Or, I should say, you can guess and be correct at what happens after. Save your money and time.
I'll give myself a break before reading more by this author.
I was not happy reading this one. Hope you have better luck!
I was so hypnotized by this trilogy I read it in 3 days. I loved Lucian and his devotion and love for Evelyn was epic. Despite that it was Evelyn/Scout who stole the show for me. Being homeless and fighting for survival her entire life gave her such a unique and refreshing way of looking at day to day events and “ things”. I was fascinated by it. Such simple tasks like shopping, and going to the bank were major challenges. I even loved the secondary characters in this; Lucian’s sisters, Jamie, Nick and even Parker. Yes, Parker, I still like him despite his interference. I totally believe his heart was In the right place. I would have liked more understanding for him as he was on the streets for years fighting for his life as well. I would think coming from money and going from ” riches to rags” would be even more challenging, than not knowing what you are missing. This is a new author to me and I am now a HUGE fan. I am excited by all the new books I now get to explore by her. LOVE this book and series! 5 stars!
I can't give this anything less than 5 stars. It's so beautifully written that it pains me to see it end. What a great ride it was!
Evelyn/Scout is such a fiery, strong yet vulnerable character. She tries to make the best in any situation & tells it as it is. She's a survivor... and a very likable heroine. Though she was poor as dirt, she had perseverance, focus & determination that was just awe inspiring. In this last book, she's determined to make it on her own having been 'betrayed' by the love of her life & her best friend. It only solidifies what she knew in her heart from the beginning. She can trust no one but herself. She has to look out for herself cause no one else will.
Lucian is determined as hell to win Evelyn back. He was putting an end to his misery. She was his and he has to make her realize that. There's just no other way & he's not taking no for an answer. Lucian is still our dominant, alpha billionaire but he's remarkably open with his feelings. I fell more & more in love with him! It helps that he's hot as sin. I, now, have a new book boyfriend!
Evelyn "Scout" Keats Patras, finally! They've come full circle but not before going through & surviving heartache, deceit, broken trusts & grief, among other things.
I LOVE this trilogy! I can't say this enough. All the characters have so much depth. The story have twists & turns I didn't see coming & I loved every minute of this bumpy ride. I loved how Ms. Michaels wrapped things up nicely with Parker, Lucian's father & even Slade. It's one of those books that you'd want to experience & reread. This will stay with me for a long long time.
I haven’t experienced a finale this magnificent since the 4th of July. I’m not kidding. I got so worked up in this final book that I had to set it down and remind myself it was just a story. I spent much of the book waffling between being in love with Lucian and Evelyn and then being angry with them. Evelyn was still finding her way in her new world and figuring out just who she was. She wanted some control and independence. Lucian was trying to allow Evelyn the freedoms she needed even if it was tearing him apart. He was discovering what it is to need someone. And through it all, their profound love and powerful connection is palpable. This 3rd book in the series is fast paced and full of twists, heat, and action. It’s the perfect blend of sexy scenes and heart-melting moments. It takes great talent to write an amazing story and even more so to write 3 in a row! Lydia Michaels does it flawlessly. She managed to hit every human emotion for me. I’m amazed at her ability to create characters who lead lives so beyond my imagination yet I feel so connected to them. I’m sad to see this trilogy come to a close. I have loved watching Lucian and Evelyn’s story come full circle.
WOOHOO, the last book. The main question I had when starting this book was, how is Lucian going to get Scott/Evelyn back? I thought she was finally going to really live life without him, but nope. She asks him for a loan. Of course she needed his help after all. It would have been interesting to see her go on without him, but the story would have stretched on so much more, so I can't say I blame the author for putting this scene in. I was proud that Scott/Evelyn was getting a education because I know so many people these days that disregard the value of education and start working right away. Plus she never had any formal education before, this was really brave of her. As much as I hated Scott/Evelyn for caving in and going to the event to see Lucian and the actress, it is only reasonable. I would not have the courage of the money to have done what she did. Poor Nick though, being dragged into this. Speaking of Nick, her perverted boss! She should have done something about him. How are you just going to let it be? What happen if he does that to other female employees? I really disliked the way she handled that situation. Also, her mom's death. I cannot imagine having a mother like her and I truly appreciated my mom after knowing there were mothers like Scott/Evelyn out there. However, her mother did give birth to her and keep her despite Scott/Evelyn being a child of a rape event. Scott/Evelyn is truly a strong women for going through so much obstacles in her life. Loved this series!
I really enjoyed this series. I loved the characters, I loved the premise, and I love all the angst that came with the story.
Evelyn, the heroine, is strong but not b****y. Lucian, was just protective of Evelyn and I loved that about him. I love that Evelyn did not give in and forgive Lucian with just a smile and a wink. There was groveling which I love from my heroes.
I know I will be reading more by Lydia Michaels. After I finished book 2, I immediately started reading book 3.
One things I just did not understand was Evelyn's love for her mother, Pearl. That woman was just a disgusting human being when she was both high and sober.
It was nice conclusion to the a great series. Loved it.
This series put a smile on my face. Lucian was romantic, sweet and devoted which I love in all my favourite book heroes. Scout was strong, smart and determined which made her a wonderful heroine.
Everything worked out exactly how I wanted it to, but there were things left open which could lead to more books on other characters.
Lots of really good sexy bits which IMO were not over the top or felt forced.
This book was well written and I will definitely be reading more from this author.
Gird up your loins, people! This one get off to a very angsty, rocky start. Is this a surprise for anyone who read the last book? Probably not! But for those who, like me, run and don't walk from emotional leakage then the fall out and putting together of the pieces that must go on make it tough not to get twitchy about shutting the book and pushing it away. Evelyn 'Scout' Keats has been betrayed by the two most important men in her life or so it seems to her and she refuses to let either of them get close enough to explain. She's barely holding it together and its easier to think of them both as monsters than to consider that part of her issues are that she had opened up and began to feel. Feelings, love, commitment- those things weren't allowed.
This is the story of Lucian, a ruthless, domineering man of wealth, prestige and power willing to humble himself and do whatever it takes to win back the heart of the woman he loves. But more so, it is the story of a woman who is lost, broken, proud, but so, so tired. She fights her circumstances, she fights Lucian, she fights all the hateful people who look down on her because of where she came from, and she fights even herself to continue toward her dream of independence and making something of herself. All the movers and players are present in this last book that brings everything to its culmination.
And at this point, I'm going to warn of potential spoilers ahead as I present my thoughts for anyone that hasn't read the previous books. These books must be read in order. Book one can actually function as a standalone, but the next two don't work out of order or alone.
My thoughts and feelings on this book are mixed. I've actually retyped this part twice now and realized that all the examples of my displeasure that I was waxing on about in detail that I decided to spare you boil down to one thing. Books two and three could have just been book two. It had moments where it just soared, but mostly it just plodded. There was a lot of introspection particularly for Evelyn- and took up about 75% of a 400+ page book and my eyes glassed over in the process. Much of this book was predictable so there wasn't much to break up the slow meandering pace. The first third was Evelyn giving vent to her feelings about what happened at the end of book two. Let's just say it wasn't pretty and she's lucky Lucian is a very tenacious man (though I have to say, that scene with the skank was priceless. Evelyn ate her up and spit her out).
Okay, just a pause in the previous train of thought for a little excursion down the bunny trail here as I make the observation that Evelyn and Lucian both get way harsh about mistakes and forgiveness several times in this book (You made a mistake? I rip you to shreds with my words and cut you out of my life. No second chances). I just sat there and blinked a few times about the 'judge jury executioner' attitudes and found it extreme considering the motives behind the mistakes weren't evil or vindictive, but just misguided. They're going to end up alone without friends as every member of the human race makes mistakes at some point. Yeah, call those people on their screw-ups, but if they try to explain and make right maybe give them a chance like you would want if you screwed up? Whew, yeah, anyhoo...
Then the rest of the book was just baby steps for Evelyn hanging back and the reader along with Lucian, the oh so patient man, far in the distance waiting for her to get her epiphany (hey, he really did do all that stuff including the devil's deal with Parker to save my life because he loves me beyond anything) and catch up.
There was something incredibly tenuous about their reunion, something Lucian feared could shatter at any moment. Always so strident and sure in his endeavors, he was man enough to admit, for the first time in his life, he'd found something he coveted so much it terrified him. She was so much more than a possession. It was what she gave him. A soft security that never took tangible form, yet he felt it everywhere in her presence. What they had, he treasured beyond measure, and it was changing him in ways he didn't understand. p. 165 Lucian from Coming Home
She had nothing to offer him other than herself, but that was all he ever truly wanted from her. Over the past weeks, she understood more about who he was, and for the first time, she saw herself. She was no longer a girl, but a woman. No longer was she racing against all the odds to find the security she always coveted. She had everything she needed right there in the arms of the man she loved. p. 366 Evelyn from Coming Home
I don't want to give the impression that the book is awful or that the characters are awful. I liked them and I liked the plot, but I was bored with the snail pace to get there. There were some really tender scenes, some scorching hot scenes and one really dangerous one that almost made up for the rest. And I'm going to contradict myself because for the record there was one unpredictable twist for me that left me so sad.
And that reminds me, another thing buggy about this one is that it wrapped up Lucian and Evelyn's story, but left almost everyone else high and dry. After detailing out the lives of the support characters through the series particularly those that were in relationships or on rocky ground in their relations to Evelyn or Lucian, their romances weren't neatly tied up and the reader is left with a few unrequited loves and a shaky relationship along with stuff that just seemed to fade away. Picky of me, but if someone gets significant page time, I want at least a strong hint of where their story line is headed because I'm nosey that way.
Alright, so to wrap it up, I was happy where this last part of the story took things, but I was very impatient or even bored through more than half the book. The romance is turbulent, sweet, and scorching hot in turn. I would recommend this one to erotic romance fans particularly those who enjoy a long, teased out story of character growth and development.
My thanks to Penguin Group for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was the last book in The Surrender Trilogy and what can I say...it was just fantastic! Lydia Michaels is a very talented writer and this third book just cemented that fact tenfold. She captured my imagination and made her characters feel so real that I could not help but fall in love with them a little more. They felt so real, I cried with them, laughed with them and got mad with them.
Lucian and Evelyn's story continues in the third book. Lucian, being a very dominant alpha male always gets what he wants, and it's never been hard. That is everything but the woman he loves, for her he will have to work even harder due to circumstances that he made for himself in the second book. Evelyn is tired of feeling like she is nothing but a possession and I have to give her credit in this book she really comes across as a woman who will not let anything stand in her way of getting what she wants either. In this book we see Lucian humbled quite a bit and Evelyn become the woman I knew she could be. Both make sacrifices and surrender themselves to each other in some form or another, but through that their love and passion for each other just grows. They must endure so much to be together and in this final book you learn so many things about why things were the way they were with some of the obstacles that they had to overcome to be together previously. The chemistry between them did not fade, in fact it just got more intense and the intimate sex scenes between the them just got better as the book and series went on. They were definitely made for each other, call it fate or something else, but they were destined to be together.
I am sorry the series is over because I enjoyed it that much. I truly enjoyed the way that Lydia Michaels was able to make this story come to life, her characters had so much depth that you could not help but feel like you knew them personally in the end. Would I recommend this book and the series? ABSOLUTELY! You have to read this series in order though, there would be no other way to get the full effect of the passion and depth of the book if you didn't. Thank you so much for sharing your stories with us! I can't wait to read more from this author.
I enjoyed this book. This was a magnificent trilogy , I can say it is one of my favorites now! Evelyn aka Scout showed Lucian how to appreciate the little things in life even though he was a billionaire whose wealth was mind blowing compared to Evelyn's background. It was such a beautiful fairytale. Watching these two fall in love was amazing! I felt every emotion of their relationship. The sex was off the charts, and I love the excellent job the author did describing it in perfect detail. The scenes where great and different in the sense of not being so repetitive as some stories! All things came full circle, and I felt the author closed the story perfectly with questions answered, and the relationships where we are left content. Evelyn made me cry a few times, and each chapter had angst, sorrow and love. She also had me balling laughing at times. Even Lucian elicited giggles from me listening to their conversations. It was great reading and visualizing their relationship evolving. I have to admit, I loved Dugan in this story, and he was always there for Evelyn being more than just a chauffeur but her friend as well! The length of each book was my preference (longer the better) where everything was explained in great detail! I was addicted to this story, and I tried to savor this book slower as I did not want it to end! Lucian needed this feisty pistol to keep him on his toes. I hope the author writes more books like this in the future. In my opinion, she wrote a magnificent billionaire genre trilogy ! One of the best for me, and I am definitely in awe of this trilogy!
Wow! What can I say, this was a wonderful conclusion to this trilogy that hit all the right buttons for me. I truly fell in love with Lucian in this one. I love how devoted he is to Evelyn/Scout. Scout continues to be an independent woman, and I loved that about her. There is a bit of angst, but you can never doubt how much Lucian loves Scout. Oh, and Lucian's declarations got to me every time.
Sometimes I worry you're so strong willed you'll actually get to a point that you don't need me. I need you to need me.
Lucian simply laid his soul bare. I loved that. I love strong Alphas, but I love it more when their only weakness is their woman and they become needy. :)
You see, I can't do this Evelyn. I love you, and without you I'm miserable. Even standing in your shadow is better than not knowing where you are.
Sigh. Tell me how you cannot love such a man. At one point I wanted to hit Scout over the head, but I do love her stubborn will too. My heart broke for her struggles to better herself, but like i said, I admired her for it. What a great heroine.
Anyway, the sex-scenes were just as hot. And the writing was beautiful.
Coming Home was such a satisfying end to a sexy, beautiful, and emotional journey. I have come to care deeply for the two main characters, Scout and Lucian. Each of them has dealt with so much, and through their development has changed a lot, and for the better.
This series was really well thought out, well paced, and very well written. The way Lydia Michaels describes things, places, and emotions had me feeling like I was right there with the characters. I could visualize everything perfectly.
The connection between Scout and Lucian was so intense. I felt like it was actually a physical thing that took up space like it was real, and had the potential to swallow them whole when they were near each other. Even when they were apart, that connection was like a physical string that couldn't be severed, and they felt the pull of it no matter the distance.
Scout and Lucian have been through so much, and I am really happy with where I'm leaving them. Lydia Michaels is such a gifted writer, and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for her readers.
Wow - what can I say?? I was SO happy with Lucian in this book and what his realizations were. I really don't think I like Parker at all. I mean I felt bad for him at first, but forcing someone to love you? Making a deal like that for one month with no interruptions??? I mean I get that he didn't think Evelyn truly loved Lucian, but LORD. I do get why Evelyn was so angry with both of them though. She felt like a pawn piece. Even though I would be most upset with Parker in that situation, I can totally see why she would be pissed at Lucian too - thanks to my pal London :) I literally finished this book and had to pick right up with the next book. I will write a better review at the end of the final book!!!
In the conclusion of Evelyn and Lucien's story this writer does not disappoint at all. From the first book I was hooked. Her vivid, fluid and breathtaking writing keeps you enthralled and excited till the bitter end. I'm so sad to see this story end that's how much I LOVED IT! A lot is explained and you get the answers you need to be happy and content for the ending of the story. I enjoyed this book so much it is not only beautifully written but has all the elements in a EROTIC ROMANCE you crave. It was sexy, hot, soulful, painful, sad, happy, beautiful, exciting, romantic, heartfelt and deeply full filing. I couldn't put it down and would give it more than 5 Stars. You won't be disappointed. THIS SERIES IS A MUST READ!
First of all, I usually NEVER finish a trilogy. I get stuck somewhere in the middle and can't move forward. That did not happen here! I completed all three parts without any other books in between.
This is not just "sex" there is actually a wonderful love story. Are there parts where I wanted to smack either Lucian or Evelyn. Hell Yes!! But it wasn't for the entire book.
Give Lydia Michaels' books a chance. I found them by accident and I love them all.
Oh. My. Goodness. Can I give this book 10 stars? The writing is like nothing I've ever read before. Absolutely beautiful! Loved the character development. Loved the twists and turns. This book made me CRY at times. What?? Sad to see it conclude. BEST. TRILOGY. EVER!! Please explain to me why 50 shades being made into a movie when this CLEARLY should be in production - yesterday! Looking forward to reading more of Ms. Michael's offerings!
