When Amber Lawson flees her abusive ex-boyfriend, she discovers the mysterious town of Beastly Falls—a place where humans and supernatural beings coexist, bound by a curse that only allows fated mates to enter.
Welcomed by the quirky towns people, all eager to get to know her and oddly curious about her relationship status, she quickly finds a job as the night-time librarian. Charmed by the gothic structure and the eclectic collection of books and patrons, she quickly falls into a routine and is intrigued by one of her patrons, a male who resembles the gargoyle on the building.
Gargoyle Xavier Chauvre watches over the library by day and transforms into a brooding human by night, cursed until he finds his true love. He had despaired of ever finding his love until he felt the unmistakable tug the day Amber drove into town. Drawn to her, he lurks in the stacks and keeps watch over her, hoping she feels the bond too.
As sparks fly over late-night book talks, Amber falls into old habits, and only a magical mating bond with Xavier can save her. Can this odd couple break the curse, defeat her past, and find love among the stacks?
Fantastic story with Amber who is running away from her ex boyfriend she runs to Beastly Falls where supernaturals live she finds a job as a librarian and she’s fascinated with the gargoyle on top of the building and when a gorgeous man enters Amber believes that he looks like the gargoyle on the roof. Xavier has been cursed and when Amber comes to town he knows that she is his fated mate but can Amber trust him?. Fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend reading this book.
Gleeful Goblin Review: I'm always down for a cozy, small town, monster romance and this one was a blast. The in fiction explanation for monsters I thought was really well done, especially this first scene when Amber arrives in Beastly Falls which the author describes as "a place where humans and supernatural beings coexist, bound by a curse that only allows fated mates to enter.": "I remembered vaguely hearing about towns, usually outside of the big cities, that were populated with monsters, or supernaturals as they preferred to be called, since they were more comfortable living among their own kind. Monsters had been living among us for years, but we hadn’t ever really known about them until a few decades ago. To say it had not gone well was an understatement, but most people handled it pretty well, though we only saw the occasional supernatural in the city, usually the more common ones, who looked like humans. It was weird to be the one they would stare at, but I suppose it made sense, since I was probably the minority here, since I didn’t see any humans on the street. This was fine. Totally normal. I could handle this. Besides, true monsters didn’t always look that way on the outside. I knew that better than anyone."
Considering Amber is running from an abusíve ex boyfriend this was a phenomenal setting of the scene! The author has a deft touch when it comes to giving the reader an inside idea of what Amber has gone through and why finding Beastly Falls ends up being life changing, even before finding love with a certain bookworm gargoyle! Xavier is a compelling character and the way the author explains him being stone as a curse and one that's increasing in strength is so gripping. This book is a perfect blend of low to mid stakes and cozy small town adorability. 5/5 Stars.

When Amber Lawson flees her abusive ex-boyfriend, she unexpectedly finds refuge in the strange supernatural town of Beastly Falls - a place where humans and monsters coexist under a powerful curse that only allows people to enter if they’re destined to meet their fated mate. There she meets a brooding gargoyle protector who has spent years guarding the town from danger. As Amber begins rebuilding her life and growing closer to the stoic gargoyle, the two must learn to trust each other and decide whether their connection is strong enough to overcome past trauma, outside threats, and the town’s mysterious magic.
Her Gargoyle Protector was another quick read for me, but unfortunately this one didn’t work quite as well as some of the others in the series. I was hoping that this was going to be my favorite of the series but I had a hard time connecting with the main characters, and their relationship felt a little rushed and underdeveloped. I liked the basic premise and the idea of a gargoyle guardian, but I wish the story had spent more time building their bond and expanding on the conflict. I also wasn't a huge fan of the writing style or the dialogue but it wasn't as big of an issue for me as some of the other things that I struggled with in this story. As always, I enjoyed returning to Beastly Falls and the supernatural small-town setting, but I still found myself wanting more of the town and its lore even though the lore seems to change from book to book. (2.25 Stars Rounded Down)
3.5 stars. Amber, the female human librarian lead, is running away from an abusive, stalking ex partner when a town not on her map appears in front of her. Entering it, she finds a town populated by supernatural others who are astonished to find her present. Once they discover her interest/career, she’s offered a position as the night librarian at the local library.
Xavier, the male gargoyle lead, doesn’t want a mate who hates being stuck in the town by the local curse, as his mother did. But he also knows he’ll turn into stone permanently soon. Discovering Amber is his fated mate leaves him with an uncomfortable decision to make.
But do either of them want a relationship? They’re on a deadline to make a decision…
This novella is dual POV, and an interesting, contemporary fantasy romance. I empathised with Amber’s hurt and appreciated that she was wary of another relationship. I empathised with Xavier’s concerns and appreciated the care with which he interacted with Amber. I enjoyed the relationship development and the supportive secondary characters.

Amber Lawson is forced to escape from Kevin, an abusive ex-boyfriend who is chasing after her, and she ends up in a small town named Beastly Falls. The town is made up of both humans and paranormal creatures, but a curse allows only a fated mate to enter the town and no one can leave. She meets a gargoyle named Xavier Chauvre who protects the library in his stone form during the day, then turns human at night. Amber is working an evening job at the library where she notices Xavier as he watches over her among the books. He is nothing like her terrible ex. But his time is limited. If she does not decide to accept him as her mate within a week, he will remain a gargoyle forever. She finds it hard to trust after the way her ex has treated her. But will she take a chance on loving Xavier and breaking his curse? Or will he lose her and remain a gargoyle forever?
I truly enjoyed this story and recommend it if you want a smile on your face. Love and trust are so important in life. Will these two drop their defenses and let themselves be healed?
Her Gargoyle Protector is standalone paranormal/monster romance Sabrina Silvers, and is part of the Beastly Falls series.
This is a sweet romance, about a cursed town that is frozen in time. Where the beastly (all kinds of paranormal species) inhabitants are cursed to never leave, yet this means that they cannot find their fated mates. That is until some human mates stumble into the cursed town that doesn't appear on any maps.
This is how the human female, Amber Lawson, enters Beastly Falls while running away from her abusive (and very human ex). Finding shelter... and the library... at Beastly Falls she finds a reprieve from her fears, and also meets the gargoyle that watches over the library, Xavier Chauvre.
This is a sweet instalove, that tells us about the mystery surrounding the curse of Beastly Falls. There's love and fear and hope, which made for a warm and fuzzy read.

I wasn't looking for you. I wasn't expecting you. But I'm very lucky I met you...
I love PNR and this is my first about a Gargoyle. I have always been interested in what the purpose of a sentry Gargoyle was for on top of buildings. They are for protecting the buildings and those inside. Xavier is doomed to suffer doing this until he finds his true mate.
Amber finds herself in the town of Beastly Falls. She escaped from a nasty relationship and is drawn to the people of the town, especially Xavier. He is everything her ex wasn't. He is a strong protector and makes her feel safe. The clock is ticking for her to decide if she wants to be Xavier's mate and release the curse that holds the town in its clutches or decides not to and destroys Xavier's hopes and dreams. This story might be short but it is beautifully written.
Amber is on the run, from her abusive ex-boyfriend. She discovers the town of Beastly Falls. She finds out that the town has a curse. Amber sees humans, and suoernaturals living together. The people are very welcoming. She finds a job at the library. Gargoyle Xavier feels the mating bond with Amber. He becomes protective of Amber, and watches over her. Xavier explains his plight of finding his mate. He does not tell Amber, the whole truth. They begin to form a relationship. Amber does not understand the feelings she has towards Xavier. Can the spell be broken? Will Amber accept the bond with Xavier? I enjoyed reading this book!!! There is a hea.

When Amber runs from an abusive ex who won't let go, she ends up in the strange town of Beastly Falls, where humans and supernatural beings coexist, bound by a curse that only allows fated mates to enter. She finds a job that suits her as the night librarian. Gargoyle Xavier Chauvre watches over the library daily and changes into a brooding human by night. He goes into the library to read but meets the new librarian, Amber. He knows she is his fated mate and will break his curse, but she is afraid to continue her past mistakes. Well-paced, with great characters, sizzle, steam, action, drama, and more. That 4 stars for me.

A great heart-warming story of true love winning the day. Xavier is a gargoyle waiting for his mate but is running out of time before he turns to stone permanently. Amber is on the run from her abusive ex and finds herself in Beastly Falls which isn't on any map. The town only lets mates in but if they reject their mate they are rejected from the town forever. Their road to HEA is a well-written page-turner.

Xavier is a gargoyle cursed to never walk in the sun but to sit and watch over the town library until his mate comes. Amber has been on the run from her ex-boyfriend since he assaulted her. When Amber drives into Beastly Falls, she doesn't know she has entered a magical town. I love this book. Xavier is a protector, and he protects Amber. Xavier soon learns she is his protector, too. This book is sweet but with great spice.

Sabrina Silvers's Her Gargoyle Protector was an extremely quick, enjoyable read. It grabbed me right away and I couldn't put it down! I haven't read any other books in the Beastly Falls series, but it was easy to understand and I had no trouble following. Xavier and Amber were lovable and I was rooting for them from the get-go. The supporting characters, everyone in Beastly Falls, were adorable and real to me. I can't wait to read more!

A nice short read. This short read gives you a little bit of everythign- some drama - some loving and most of all an HEA. I was beginning to wonder if an HEA was gonna happen. Falling in love nad making life changin decisions within 7 days is a a hard task. All the men in town wondering is she was thier mate was funny. And I loved how the library came to life and tried to contral the situcation as well.
I am sure there will be more fun reads from this town!.

I fell inlove with Xavier from the moment I read his inner conversation. The turmoil, vulnerability and sheer need for love was heart-wrenching from momma trauma. Amber was the same but from abuse..both seeking love, confirmation and safety. Finding it in each was perfect.
I love how at the last moment they accepted the truth that it wasn't the other that was hindering them but themselves.
Not the first by Ms. Silvers and definitely will not be the last.

This story has an abusive Ex, mysterious town, supernatural beings, Gargoyle protector, Human Librarian, danger, fated mates, attraction, action, twists, turns, trust and love.
Amber is on the run from her abusive and controlling ex-boyfriend when she finds safe haven in Beastly Falls. Xavier has been the library’s protector and gargoyle since the curse took hold. The pull between these two is strong, but will they accept the mate bound, and will it be in time? I loved this story, Amber and Xavier really touched me with their vulnerability and bravery, and then end even made me she’d a time or two, Xavier was so resigned. A beautiful story.
I loved how well the author navigated the line between possessive and obsessive, allowing for a much deeper story line than anticipated. There were plenty of light hearted moments and some swoony dialogue. Definitely need to keep visiting Beastly Falls!.
