Hard times make for strong men, and Antonin Murdock’s childhood was as rough as it gets. Now, he’s a Ranger, the only law for colonists seeking their fortune far from home.

Murdock’s investigation into a missing freighter takes him to Coracaesium, a world he discovers has been turned into a stronghold by brutal pirate forces. They are more organized than anything he’s seen before, equipped with advanced weaponry, and led by a tactical and strategic genius.

Sanya Baretto.

She was once one of the Fleet’s elite fighter pilots, holding the line against a ruthless alien enemy. Until the Commonwealth gave her reason to turn against it.

In her cold fury, Baretto may manage something even the entire might of the Tahni Empire couldn’t.

The destruction of the Commonwealth.

Great Read

Lots of action strong story line and likeable characters. The only thing I would have liked was more detail about the weapons and ships but aside from that its a 10

As the seemingly human and sassy AI said “ emotionally stunted assholes” do a lot of good plus some growing up. Another of my favorite key tappers that has a great way of developing characters be they, good bad or indifferent. His AI is one sassy self aware (thank the author she isn’t a flesh and blood woman) the universe wouldn’t survive. The supporting cast of cyborgs, altered humans and just plain flesh and blood people are spot on. The science is well within my realm of believability.
Now to find anther great read by this author or go slumming across my shelves.

Humanity will NEVER change…

What a roller coaster of a read. This space opera starts at a pace that gets the reader into the tale, the characters and author’s imagination.
We then build to a crescendo of a tale where, while you can ‘predict’ the storyline, the reader gets caught up in a tale of amazing imagination..
For a story where the bad guys are really bad and the good guys are understated and often missed altogether you cannot miss with this tale.
If you like rollicking space opera and stories that just build and build - grab on and have a read - it’s great.

Great Series

Every chapter in this 3 book series had the space SciFy adventures I love. The authors have this down pat. Space battles, a ship's AI that seems almost human, a female pirate that almost beats the Commonwealth, and a Space Ranger who is definitely the toughest guy on the block. Like space battles? Then you'll love this and won't be able to put it down. Haven't come across this kind of writing in a long time.

Top notch military sci fy

A trilogy you can't stop reading. The youngest son of a mega rich family chooses to skip a cushy life As he joins the space patrol. He finds doing the right often turns those supposed to in charge into question as he must decide to do what is right, not what is popular, or what he was ordered.

Will need a seatbelt

There's no brake on this vehicle. Closest it gets to slowing down is down shifting here and there. Great collection of characters, both good and bad. Tight plot and certainly no shortage of action.

It is none stop action and it keeps the guessing where you are going. I am a big fan of science fiction, and this is a real keeper.
