This one was definitely a lot heavier and darker than the first book of this series, but oh boy … I ate this one up!!!

Lula’s life has been defined by one thing , revenge. Her mother’s murder has haunted her for years, and she’s spent every moment training to take down the man responsible. Her plan? Marry into the right family to get close enough to make her move. But on her wedding day, just as she’s about to wed her steppingstone fiancé, an assassin walks in, puts a bullet in the groom, and completely shatters her carefully laid-out plan.
That assassin is Victor : dangerous, unhinged, and fascinated by the bride who doesn’t scream, cry or beg for her life when her groom’s body hits the floor. Instead of walking away after the job, Victor claims her as his prize. Lula not exactly the type to cower in the corner, she’s just as fierce, just as unyielding, and just as dangerous in her own way.

And while Victor is absolutely lethal, he’s also magnetic in that “this is a terrible idea but I want it anyway” kind of way.
If you’re into dark mafia romance with a lethal hero, a fearless heroine, plenty of danger, and BDSM that doesn’t hold back , this one’s going to hit just right.

Vengeance is Mine is the story of Royal’s cousin Lula,and assassin for hire Victor.
And it was a rollercoaster ride from start to finish,and i loved every second.
Hot as Hades,even with Lula being forced to endure a lot of pain at Victor’s hands.
Is it Stockholm Syndrome if you enjoy it,though??
They may have met when Victor killed the man Lula planned to marry,but since there was no love lost for the bride,the night she spent with the groom’s killer was delicious.
Lula never expected to see him again after she left,but Victor wasn’t done with her,by a long shot!
And once he had her where he wanted her,he took his time breaking her down to get to the core of the only woman he ever considered keeping.
Finding out her goal made him determined to give her what she deserved,but she had to become fully his before he’d give it to her…..and it was a hell of a fight to get there!
So,did Lula get what she’d been craving for most of her life?
With a bonus or 2,one of which she never expected to get?

I really loved how the mmc supported and cared for the mfc.
But please remember, even though the mmc is obsessed with the mfc. The is Kiddnapping, bdsm, unaliving, and other dark romance stuff.
But it was a very cute story in the beginning and end. With a lot of spice in-between.

High spice, low plot dark romance.
I really loved that Lula was not afraid to shoot, and was a bådåșș in her own right. She was out for revenge, and she wouldn't let anyone (even a hot assassin) get in her way. Kudos that she is not a young 20-something year-old naive mafia princess. She is a lawyer, and has been acting as the head of her family behind the scenes for some time.
Victor claims Lula from the moment he saw her. He is classically unhinged, and it follows the main tropes as an MMC in the mafia. His 'punishments' were always a delight to read though.
Audiobook: The narration was done via duet style with dual POV's. This is my favorite style of narration, and I almost exclusively listen to duet style. The narrators are Jasper Woodcock and Blaire LeBlanc, both new for me. The narration overall was not great, even as a duet. Both the MC's had thick accents to go along with the characters, but they only read with the accents when reading the dialogue. In between, they would switch back to an American accent. It was just so jarring to have to keep switching accents. Also, some of the narration almost sounded robotic. I had to make sure it wasn't AI at some point. Could be the quality of the recording, but it definitely took me out of the book. Not my favorite audiobook, and I would suggest reading the book over listening.

If you love a good dark romance, this book is one you should dive into. With just the right combination of love, action, and pure spice.
Lula wants nothing more than to avenge her mother. She's marrying a man she knows can get her close to him. Victor, a hit man who has a contract by the man who killed her mother, to kill the man who Lula is marrying. Victor then takes her as his prize for finishing the contract.
Soon, Lula shoots Victor and escapes, but unknown to her Victor lives and is coming back for his prize.
I absolutely fell in love with this book, from the beautiful cover to the amazing story inside.

Their banter is easygoing, like they're old friends, but beneath the surface, there's this underlying tension and power struggle. It's like they're constantly testing each other, trying to outmaneuver each other. And yet, despite the intensity, there's this undeniable attraction between them. It's like they're drawn to each other like moths to a flame. The way Victor tortures Lula is really interesting. Okay, so let's get this straight - Victor is OBSESSED with Lula. Like, he's been infatuated with her since the moment he saw her (and got shot by her, might I add). And honestly, I'm here for it! The man obsessed trope is one of my favorites, and Victor takes it to a whole new level. Now, I know what you're thinking - what about the plot? Well, let me tell you, there isn't much of one. At least, not until Victor decides to take matters into his own hands. Because when he's not busy torturing Lula (in a non-painful way, might I add), he's too busy pleasuring her to worry about the plot. And honestly, who can blame him? Lula is an intriguing character, and Victor's obsession with her is valid.
But here's the thing - Victor doesn't just see Lula as a conquest or a prize to be won. He genuinely believes he's in love with her . Like, he thinks that his all-consuming desire for her is proof of his love. And while it's twisted and problematic, it's also kind of... romantic? In a messed-up, unhealthy way, of course. And Lula? The man obsessed trope is one of my favorites, and Victor takes it to a whole new level. Now, I know what you're thinking - what about the plot? Well, let me tell you, there isn't much of one. At least, not until Victor decides to take matters into his own hands. Because when he's not busy torturing Lula (in a non-painful way, might I add), he's too busy pleasuring her to worry about the plot. And honestly, who can blame him? Lula is an intriguing character, and Victor's obsession with her is valid.
But here's the thing - Victor doesn't just see Lula as a conquest or a prize to be won. He genuinely believes he's in love with her . Like, he thinks that his all-consuming desire for her is proof of his love. And while it's twisted and problematic, it's also kind of... romantic? In a messed-up, unhealthy way, of course. And Lula? She's caught up in this whirlwind of passion and desire, unsure of what to do or how to feel. Whewwwww. Another amazing book by this author.
This is my third book by her, and my God, the only regret I have is not discovering her sooner. The way she writes—the plotting, the character development, how everything falls perfectly into place—is incredible. Amazing. Just amazing.

If I could choose one word to describe this book, it would be “intense”.
Written in first person from an alternating dual POV, this second book in series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HFN. The author has a long list of CW for this book, and readers should definitely consider those before reading.
Lula is tough and bent on vengeance for her mother’s death. Victor is a hitman. I liked Lula in book one, but her character in this book felt like something was missing. Victor uses some unusual methods to break Lula after kidnapping her. I never felt like I really got to know his character or his motivations. He thinks he loves her but it felt like more of an obsession than love. The book is full of s3xytimes and a lot of BDSM. I felt like I was missing something though. Lula and Victor have a love-h@te relationship. I didn’t understand how Victor could treat Lula the way he did, and I didn’t understand how Lula could like it while still hating it. I kept waiting for a big reveal that explained more of the “why” but it did not come. Or maybe I just missed it. I have read other BDSM books that I enjoyed, but I guess this was not really my kind of book.

'Vengeance is Mine' by Lee Savino started with a bang and didn't slow down or stop until it said The End. Where to begin without giving anything away? That's the tough question here because one thing immediately leads to another which falls into another and I don't want to give away the whole book. Lula is standing at the altar about to get married until a man storms into the church, heads directly down the aisle, throws his arm around the groom like he's hugging him, and then backs up only for the groom to fall over unalive and dripping blood everywhere. Instant chaos reigns, people running and screaming everywhere while Lula stands there trying to figure out what she is supposed to do next. That would seem like the natural reaction, right? Yeah, it's not what you think. As a matter of fact, these characters' actions aren't what I thought would happen. Read the trigger warnings because they're real but then they made a great story.

Their first meeting is her wedding day, where his target is her soon to be husband. Victor gets to choose his reward for the hit, and the reward is Lula. After a night of passion, Lula does what she has to do to get closer to her ultimate target. This leaves Victor getting shot and Lula walking into a confronting situation.
From that one night, Victor knows what he wants and uses unusual methods to get it.
Lula has only had vengeance in her heart and is about to learn what else there is to live for.
This book touched on some sensitive areas, so check TW/CW.

Lula was only getting married to the man to get closer to her true target. Fortunately, her abductor will work even better as an 'in' to the man she wants to kill. Things do not go as planned, however, and she finds herself a prisoner of the only man who has ever made her feel anything. A man she shot to facilitate her getaway. Now, he has revenge plans of his own.
Lots of kink, so if this isn't your cup of tea you might not like it. There is a HEA, so that's a plus. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Knowing his goal is to keep them together forever and knowing he will succeed, gives the story a deep psychological aspect. Truly loved both books in this series, even when they can’t be more different for both mafia brides.

So wrong it’s right!
I’m not sure what it says about me, but I kind of loved this story. It was interesting, entertaining, and enjoyable even though it was also a bit twisted. Victor and Lula seemed made for each other from the start. It made me wonder if she had made a different choice would they have still ended up together. Finding out the identity of the mole was surprising since I had picked someone else right up until he showed up and we got to learn a little more about him. The idea behind the diner was kind of cool and made me wonder about the story behind it. Maybe there will be a book about it at some point… hint, hint. I liked how the story ended but I wish there was an epilogue. I recommend reading this book.

We have Lula or Lucrezia's, who we met in book one, story and it is much darker and leans into D/s, master slave domains.
Lula is not easily crushed and knows her way around a weapon, she is challenged by Victor, our male hero?, and shows that she is made of stern stuff.
I enjoyed this story, and I would recommend you read the first in the series first as it provides a character and family background for Lula.
Hoping for more in this series.

I love that Lee Savino twists the usual tropes on their head. Lulu is on a mission, a mafia princess being forced to marry, but things take a turn, standing in a bloody wedding gown stolen away at the altar by Victor. He takes what he wants and he wants Lulu. She realizes all the things she used to think are not just what they seem. Of course there is lots of hot erotic, goodness, an excellent ending with a great HEA.

Nothing that will damage her or that's outside a heavy BDSM relationship but some of it is dubious consent. I would have liked a little more emotional bonding instead of mostly physical leading to their HEA.

Lee Savino has done it again. In this amazing dark romance Lula and Victor find in each other what they thought they would never have. Love and Obsession. Thrown together by circumstances and brought back together by sheer determination this book does not disappoint.
Few key points... the sex is hot 🔥 in this book. Secondly, when Victor starts using hand signals I think the sole purpose is to degrade Lula but it's more than simple dom/sub uses.

I listened to this on the romance novel app Tempt. The audiobook is a little over five hours. The narration was okay. The accents of the male and female narrators would come and go. There was also a fantasy element to the story with the 3 Fates. I’m not sure what exactly happened to the female character’s mom that set the revenge plot in motion. The spicy part is about 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️! Overall a good short liten.

love stories about hitmen because they're hard core but deep down they seek love. And boy did Victor hit the jackpot with Lulu! She is seeking venagenous for her mother and nothing will stop her. She is as determined as Victor and vicious and I loved it! Lee writes the best stories and this was another victory in her pocket! I highly recommend this story.

Vengeance Is Mine is my first read by this author and I'd say I definitely chose a great first read! This book starts off with that fantastic chaos and excitement that we all love and doesn't slow down. The characters are fabulous, the storyline is consuming and there's no way I could have put this book down! Victor and Lucrezia take us on a journey that won't soon be forgotten.

Wow loved this book. Mafia, fast paced, explosive, lots twist and turns, Alpha protective MMC and strong spirited, sassy independent FMC. What’s not to love. This book reeled me in from beginning to end. Lula and Victor’s chemistry is hot. Lots of hot hot scenes. Definitely pick up this book you won’t be disappointed.

Loved this story. Lulu is a character that you will remember. She is not someone who will let anyone walk over her and she needs to be strong to stand up for herself. Victor is a character to love and hate then wants to hug. All the characters are really well done. There are so many elements in this well written and well described including some hot sexy erotic scenes. Well worth reading.

I absolutely loved the characters. Lula was strong and smart, Victor was a besotted killing machine. The sex scenes were burning infernos.
The only thing that bothered me at the end, was that Lula’s Sig Sauer turned into a Glock. There’s such a difference between the guns it created a disconnect. A Sig is a thing of beauty, a Glock is ok. Still loved the story, though.
