He received the National Cartoonist Society Newspaper Comic Strip Award in 1995, and the Reuben Award in 2012 for his work on the strip. He also served as co-executive producer of The WB animated television series of Baby Blues.

It's easy to see why Baby Blues continues to be a widely revered comic strip. Jim Davis once wrote, "More often than not, when a reader laughs at a [comic] strip, it's not because it's funny, but because it's true," and that's what we see here. Anyone who has ever dealt with little kids on a regular basis will find plenty of humor here.

á há muito tempo que queria iniciar a leitura desta série Baby Blues, da Bizâncio. Sabia que iria gostar bastante. E não desiludiu.
Este livro é simplesmente uma delícia! A sinopse diz tudo "Qualquer semelhança com a realidade não é mera coincidência"! E não é de facto.
Os autores apresentam-nos, de uma forma brilhante e muito divertida, o dia-a-dia de famílias com três filhos. As confusões, as birras, as idas ao restaurante, ao supermercado, as aventuras na escola, a "luta" entre irmãos, as confidencias de irmãos, a relação entre os pais...e podia continuar o dia todo.
Situações brilhantes, em que as imagens não são um complemento, mas um elemento fundamental na história.
Não sou muito de ler BD, mas adorei esta série. Apesar deste ser o último volume lançado pela Bizâncio, não foi assim tão relevante começar no primeiro volume.
Quero ler e ter na minha estante toda esta colecção, pois vale muito a pena. Não só para pais, mas para todos.

Mais um brilhante conjunto de piadas que são realmente hilariantes, sobretudo para quem tem filhos pequenos ou para quem ainda se lembra de como é isso...
Este volume traz a novidade de muitas das tiras terem associado um comentário de um dos autores sobre a situação apresentada, como foi desenhá-la ou ainda algumas reações de leitores à mesma. Não posso dizer que tenha gostado desta ideia, pois senti que retirou o impacto a algumas piadas (toda a gente sabe que não se devem explicar as piadas, não é?) sem acrescentar informações que me pareçam relevantes.
Outra coisa que não gostei foi o facto de algumas tiras se referirem a costumes ou expressões tão americanos que a maioria das pessoas em Portugal não as perceberá (eu própria não sei o que é uma "carta de férias", embora saiba o que são o "número um" e o " número dois"...) sem a ajuda de algumas notas - inexistentes - dos editores/tradutores.
Recomendado, de qualquer modo.

I've been reading Baby Blues for many years and this year decided to buy and read all the books in the series, and it has been a lot of fun. This is a large oversize volume, with well-reproduced strips many in color, that date from the 2014 period. In this collection Wren is still a baby, and there are many funny series, including monsters under my bed (which turns out to be something worse--Hammie!) Halloween costumes, and Zoe learning how to swim! Any fan of the series will love this collection!

Love these cartoon books!
I enjoy looking at the Baby Blues cartoon books when I have a few minutes to spare. Their family situations bring back memories of when our own kids were small.

I adore all of these collections. This one is the first to have little add-ins from the author and artist. An addition I truly felt enriched the book which I was already enjoying!
