Fire Wolf 2: The Fae and The Wolf

Rate this book
Land of Fae, Shifters, and Magic

Sitting in an unfriendly bar upon arriving in Ireland to assist local firefighters, my life changed forever.

I couldn’t take my eyes off the extremely odd, attractive man speaking to me. To me!

The heat growing in my core was unbearable. Something I have never felt before.

There was something about the graceful way he moved, the way he conversed with a stranger. The way he looked into, or rather through, my eyes, straight to my soul.

Never could I have imagined, being a wolf shifter and firefighter, that he would become my entire future.

Dealing with the very strange circumstances in the town of Aoibheann, which ranged from buildings flooding to fires occurring under odd circumstances, to mythical beings trying to eliminate humans, the timing couldn’t be worse. But could we actually make things work?

I never imagined that I would need to travel into fairyland to save my actual future.

Can I venture into a world forbidden to my kind?

Can I save humans and shifters from the insanity plaguing this small town or will I die trying?

All I know is that I cannot ignore it and just go home.

Lyla is a werewolf shifter and a firewoman she is in a relationship with Derek, he has stood her up for the last time. Lyla goes to the apartment she shares with Derek , she hears noises from inside, she lets herself in and finds Derek in bed with another woman.
Lyla tells the woman to get out and then she turns to Derek and tells him they are finished and to pack his things and leave. Unfortunately Lyla and Derek work together so she is not looking forward to working with him, but Saul her boss and brothers future father in law has a way for her to put some space between them.
The department has been asked to go to Ireland, there is some Paranormal activity going on and as a Fire department of Paranormal Werewolves they agree. Saul hand picks the crew leaving Derek out.
After a long flight all of the crew to go their rooms to sleep but Lula can't manage to sleep and decided to go into town. she finds a bar but everyone stops talking as she walks in, embarrassed she is about to turn around and walk out when she comes up against someone right behind her. They bend down and say "sorry their not good with newcomers". She turns around and finds a handsome man with red hair and beard. He orders 2 pints and takes Lyla to a table to await their drinks, they spend an enjoyable evening together. Zephyr walks her back to her lodgings, not wanting the evening to end she invites him in. He wakes up and realises it is morning but he is not in his home then he remembers where he is. He sees his reflection in the mirror and can see he is half changed and must leave before anyone sees him, Zephyz is a water! fey.
Strange things happening the town are being done by the fey but they are starting to hurt the humans, Zephyr is unaware until he hears some water nymphs saying that a fire woman is being held under water and goes to help her, he recognIse' s Lyla and rescuers her.
Will Zephyr reveal himself to Lyla , do they have a chance of being together or will they be separated by the sea and their cultures.

Saul has had a request for a group of his firefighters to go to Ireland to look into some supernatural incidents over there. One of the ones he takes is Lyla. Lyla is glad to go after she finds out what Derek has been doing, putting space between them and not having to work together will help with the betrayal.

Zephyr, Aidyn and Nahlene are Fae, they rebelled against the King's court because of how it was ruled. They believed in freedom for all, not servitude to the more wealthy. They spread the word and a lot of fae left with them to start afresh. But Nahlene has slowly taken power and declares herself Queen, inciting violence against the humans. But Zephyr believes there is a way to co-exist with the humans without the need for bloodshed or death.

Zephyr's and Lyra's cross the first day she arrives In Ireland and the pull they have towards each other is felt immediately. But will external forces keep them apart? Can Zephyr truly be himself to Lyra? Will Lyra's past hinder her future?

A love story fighting against bigotry, hatred, serfdom and control. Both having to deal with issues that could keep them apart but they have to fight to eventually find peace and to give them their HEA.

Lyra is a fire wolf from the US and she and several other of her company of shifter firefighters are asked to the UK to deal with disasters that may be being caused by supernatural means. Once there Lyra crosses paths with Zephyr ( a water fae ) who saves her , the only problem being neither one knows the other is a supernatural being. The fae are determined to take back the land they believe the humans are destroying, only Zephyr thinks that they are going about it the wrong way and wants them all to get along. Nahlene wants the humans out no matter what it takes including killing them all. Lyra , Zephyr and the other fire wolves must band together to fight the fae as well as dealing with other problems such as Derek her old stalker boyfriend . While I enjoyed this read I will say I preferred book 1 better due to the storyline and pacing of the story and hope book 3 will get back that spark ( see what I did there, lol). If you like shifters, fae and psycho exes you should enjoy this read. 4✨’s

Fire Wolf2 is book 2 of Fire Wolf series. This novel is a fae and wolf story. Fire Wolf2 is a fun, fast read that I was able to finish reading the book in one sitting. I thought author KC Wilde has a clever storyline with interesting and endearing characters. This novel is a captivating romance that swept me off my feet. This novel I find to be exceptionally well written. K.C. Wilde did something in which I have never seen with the Fae before by making them elemental creatures. I found this book to be quite enjoyable. I would most definitely recommend this book. I can’t wait to see what will be next.

Wonderful continuation of Fire Wolf!

These part two stories are something I really enjoy reading because we get to learn what happened after the two main characters got together in the first story. In this second part of the story, we leave the country and go to Ireland where we run across a different type of supernatural creature—the Fae. K.C. Wilde did something I’ve never really seen with the Fae before by making them elemental creatures. I found this story to be a very enjoyable read and I adore little Nita!

OH WOW!!!! this was a great book. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. Zephyr and Lyra romance connection was mind blowing like a rollercoaster ride. Could their love be tested in this moment as their romance was forbidden with chaos. Will their clan accepted their love before out world war will begin between the Fae's and Wolf's at this time.
I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

This is the 2nd book in the series but both can be read as standalone.
I was immediately absorbed in this book. The world building is fantastic and all of the main characters are believable.
Ultimately this is the story of Zephyr and Lyra but the subplots of the other characters makes this so much more than just a simple love story.
I can highly recommend this book.

Great read that keeps you involved till the end. The introduction of the fae world was interesting and creative with fire, water, soil and air talents for the fae. Zephyr could have a wide range of adventures with his talent in the fire department. Wonderful story and liked having a glimpse in the life of past characters.

I loved this book. Once I started it, I couldn't put it down. Lyla was an awesome female lead, and Zephyr's story was super compelling. I loved hearing more about fae and their lives. I'd love a prequel story about the fae and Zephyr's family. Maybe even one for Aidyn's and his lady.

What a great book! It started out of the gate with a bang! And didn’t let up at all. This book was so easy to read and the storyline was great. There were so many things going on but it wasn’t confusing at all. So easy to follow. The writing was so descriptive that I felt I was there. It has an HEA so no cliffhangers which is always a bonus! I really enjoyed reading this book.

Loved this sequel just as much as I loved Fire Wolf... Lyla and Zephyrs chemistry was really well written so along with the great plot and creative side characters I really really enjoyed it! Having it set in Ireland was just an added bonus!
