This book was....fun!
The premise of this book was so promising, and it did deliver a wild ride. I’ll admit, there was a lot happening in this one—secret societies, backstabbing, OTT jealous/protective MMC, plot twists, and just enough spice to keep things interesting. It felt a bit “Wattpad-y,” but that added to the fun vibe!
While there were a few inconsistencies, it didn’t take away too much from the fun factor. Aiden and Amelia’s characters were well-done, and Frankie and Asher made the perfect sidekicks!
I’m genuinely curious to see where this series heads next because there’s definitely potential here.

!!DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS BOOK!! Just re-read ACOTAR instead.
This book was so painfully bad. I am embarrassed this will be logged on my Good Reads account, but truthfully, I only finished it because it was part of my book club. Apart from the NUMEROUS red flags and the toxic nature of the MMC and FMC's relationship (which I am NOT looking past), if you are going to stress that the FMC is gluten-free, even going as far as making this a part of her identity, her favorite snack can't be chocolate covered pretzels. I just can't.

I hate to say it but, I loathed this book. I've been seeing teasers for this book since April and I've been so excited to read it because it seemed so promising. To say this was a disappointment is an understatement.
From the beginning, I felt like we were dropped in the middle of something. I wanted to understand more about *why* he was obsessed with her, not just that he is. Later on he describes when he first met her and just being obsessed since then but I wanted to know WHAT it is about her that is making him act a fool 😅
This was vert Wattpad / y/n coded and it’s good if that’s what you’re after but if you want a compelling plot - this is not it. The writing was very juvenile and cringeworthy. The FMC came across as a pick me, choose me, love me and the MMC was desperately trying to be a morally grey heartthrob and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
I wanted to know more about the crime syndicate. Why are they one of the biggest? What do they do? What is their motive? Why are they doing anything they’re doing? What are the missions Blade (MMC) goes on for? Is it just him doing what John says? What is the end goal? How did Blade get involved in all of this? Idk if this makes sense but it feels less like a story and more of a series of events pieced together. It seems like the author had all of these ideas and wrote them down but there was less work on the plot that actually pieces all of these things together. For a 400+ page book, I expected... more.
Blade apparently cooks for Amelia (FMC) everyday - when? They apparently go on loads of dates - again, when? Why are we not privy to any of this to convince us of this relationship? 2 months gets skipped before the 50% mark and that was a choice because I was no where near convinced of the relationship yet.
You can tell the author reads romance books and that it has heavily influenced her writing, just not in a good way if that makes sense 🤷🏽♀️

THIS BOOK!!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!😍😍😍😂 I literally can’t express how much I enjoyed reading this book and the fact that I finished this book in just a couple of hours. Once I picked it up I just couldn’t put it down like hello? This book is perfect. 🤌🏻😮💨 The storyline , the characters basically everything was sooo good and I enjoyed every single it of it. Ahhhhh I’m so excited to read more of Sierra Sky’s work cause this book is freaking awesome 😚❤️❤️❤️

Every good girl eventually finds that bad guy who sets her free, and for Amelia, Blade is exactly that.
The chemistry between them is undeniable from the first spicy scene in the bathroom (hello, tension!), and seeing Amelia’s guarded heart slowly melt as Blade’s care and touch work their magic is absolutely delicious. Blade’s instant devotion and willingness to do anything for her? Unrealistic maybe, but who cares when it’s this good? Makes me want to tell my husband to use those Call of Duty skills and go full vigilante protector mode!
Blade’s slow softening for Amelia is so well done and completely relatable. There’s something beautiful about watching a hardened, nonchalant guy reveal his gentler side for the right person. When a man’s in love, they do change, and this story shows that perfectly.
And yes, Blade’s bi—hello, unexpected LGBTQ+ rep! The added layers to his character and the jealousy that starts brewing around Amelia’s place in his life keep things so intriguing. There’s no shortage of tension, spice, or loyalty in this book.
Plus, I loved the way Frankie’s inner child was nurtured. It’s refreshing and empowering to see a character allowed to indulge in what makes them feel free. I relate so much to that, and it just added another layer of realness to this story.
Blade custom-making a ring to fit Amelia perfectly with no extra room? That hit me, especially since my own wedding ring fits just the same way. It’s all in the details!
In the end, they save each other. Blade gives Amelia the safety, loyalty, and love she’s craved, while Amelia brings Blade the comfort and balance he’s needed all along. They’re the perfect pairing, and I absolutely loved reading a dark romance with a happily ever after. For morally grey heroes like Aiden (aka Blade), they always get the ending they desire—and this one was everything I hoped it would be.

Blade (Aiden) sets his sights on Amelia and nothing will keep them apart. Blade is OTT, possessive, obsessive, does NOT have a moral code and will do just about anything to tie Amelia to him forever. He is in a place of power and has the resources to make them endgame.
Amelia…girl was dumb as a brick. I didn’t really care for her as a FMC. She mostly annoyed me and I think Aiden deserved a fierce queen to stand by his side. Amelia didn’t fit that bill. But Blade adored her so I guess 🤷🏻♀️.
Blades of Obsession had a lot happening plot wise. There was a lot of betrayal, secrecy, secret society and complex character backgrounds. At times it felt like too much paired with the romance. But overall an enjoyable read.

HE’S SO OBSESSED OMG 😮💨😮💨😮💨. I liked this book a lot. Every time I put it down, I had to go back and continue. A lot what was happening. So many twists and discoveries. But the MMC had me smiling almost every chapter.
Adrian, aka Blade, AGHHHHHH. THIS MAN 🙏🏻. It’s obvious why Amelia can’t let him go. He’s so perfect. If she wanted to become president of the world, he would’ve made that happen with no complaints. The fact that he learned so many things just for her and pays attention to every smallest detail 🥹😭. He made her feel so confident and proud of herself. I’m gonna cry 🫠🫠.
Amelia, the luckiest girl. Her dad, lord. His character just kept getting worse and I could not stand him anymore. She deserves a world and she got someone who would give her exactly that. She’s such a sweetheart but Blade made her little dirty 🫣.
I love the side characters too. Especially Frankie and Asher, those two 😮💨. I’m in love rn.

It has a lot of similarities with The Ritual, with a splash of stalker added and a hacker best friend. Kinda like Haunting Adeline meets the first three books (especially The Ritual) of the LORDS series but on a lower level.

I really wanted to love it. I started following the author on instagram because of the snippets of this book, I was really looking forward to reading it. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The writing is simply just not good. The plot made no sense. Pretty much all the characters were insufferable, the main charachters included. And most of the MMC’s cruelty is just unjustified. Knock off Haunting Adaline meets The Ritual.

What have I read! It's been a while since I read a dark romance, but this book right here was everything I was missing out on to remind me how much I loved reading dark romance. This book right here is so unhinged that it made its way to my favorite unhinged reads of the year. At the same time, for this one you definitely need to first go through the list of Trigger warnings ⚠️😀
When I say the plot is 'EVERYTHING' I mean it. The plot, the twists & turns, the secrets, the lies, is so damn good that makes you so much invested into the book you won't realize when the morning came.
Don't even get me started about the characters, 🙊
BLADE aka AIDEN FCKING MORETTI, the man he is!! On my knees for you, quite literally. 🙊
He is everything you can dream off, be it in a good way or vice versa. 🔥🤌🏻 The way he is obsessed with our FMC, AMELIA, his angel who is everything innocent & feminine but kind of a brat. 😏 Them together is the perfect representation of YING-YANG energy. The darkness & the light together ✨️
Not just our main characters even the other side characters have such a unique personalities which makes the whole storyline so interesting to read that it makes it addictive and keeps you hooked to your seat. 🤌🏻
And Oh Jesus the spice doesn't disappoint at all, although it will definitely keep you hanging for more & more. The chemistry, the whole dominating vibes and her submission are so well thought off.

*Blades of Obsession* is dark, and when I say Blade was obsessed, I mean it, who doesn't think straight. From the moment he laid eyes on Amelia, there’s no turning back.He would do anything to make her his. He was possessive, and completely wrapped around Amelia's finger. Whatever she asks, he does. No questions, no hesitation. He is so fucking whipped for her 😭All he wants was her by his side, no matter what it took. He's so unhinged just like how I love it.
Amelia was the perfect balance to Blade’s dark side. She’s sweet, adorable, and honestly She’s got that mix of soft and strong that matches Blade’s persona so well.
Their relationship didnt start lovey dovey at first, I loved that she didn't give in to him easily—she took her time and stood her ground, which made her all the more lovable.
And let’s talk about their moments together. The chemistry? Really good. They had these sweet, romantic scenes that’d make you swoon, but also the spicy moments were *spicing*
Also he *branded* her with a neckpiece—tell me that’s not straight-up hot?!
The book title really justifies the book.
Though Blade’s terrifying to others, there’s this softer, almost *pookie* side to him (yes, I said pookie 🤭) that made their dynamic even more fun to read. The way the story was written amazingly, especially the darker scenes like the torture, was intense. I had to stop for a second before I continued—but trust me, every page is worth it and the book is definitely a page turning one.
If you’re a fan of dark romance, this one’s a 100% must-read.

This book was absolutely phenomenal. I picked it up and finished it in one day because I couldn’t wait to finish the story! Ever since I saw the first post about this, I’ve been waiting ever so patiently for it and I’m so glad I did because WOW!
The way this man is so down bad for Amelia, he literally does whatever he can to support her dreams and protect her. Where can I find myself a Blade? Anyone know?👀 From his very first sentence I was in love with him. On my knees honestly. 🫠
Amelia slowly comes into herself with the encouragement of Blade and it was a beautiful thing to watch. She’s honestly a badass once she finally learns to stick up for herself and I LOVED IT.

I went into this completely blind and wow I had no clue what I got myself into. I’ve read obsessive men before but Blade honestly takes the cake for the most obsessive man I’ve read. His devotion off the bat had me so shocked and I was shocked all the way through the read. I loved how down he was for Amelia and would do literally anything for her wether she asked or not. And I loved how Amelia pretty much accepted everything well almost everything . This man had it so bad for her and just wow I couldn’t put this down once I started and I just loved the pure obsession that was portrayed in this one.

When I tell you this book made me so giddy, I was already blushing and squealing on chapter 2! This book also had some shock factors and some major twists and turns that I didn’t see coming! This book was surprisingly way more cute than I had expected. When you hear dark romance you don’t always necessarily think a cinnamon roll MMC but that was Blade for ya! Blade and Amelia’s story is something that I will cherish for a long time to come, truely made me feel warm inside!

What an amazing debut book by this author!!! It gives you a lot of plot and plenty of smut!!! I loved everything about it!!! She went into great detail about Blades past as well as Amelia’s past without making the book super long!! I enjoyed everything minute of this book and hated having to adult to read it!!! Will Amelia and Blade be the final show or will things get too crazy!? Read to find out!!

I absolutely loved this books so much! I could t put it down. I really hope that there’s more books to this one especially one with Frankie and Asher! That would be such a fun read!!! I loved this book from start to finish and never wanted it to end, I was giggling like a girl in high school and it had me gasping and laughing so hard at some points. Would definitely 10/10 recommend this book to anyone!

Blade’s character is intense and definitely aligns with him being a walking red flag haha! Good story! Amelia was sweet, loved her character 🩵 good story with lots of twist and turns on multiple occasions and the spice was really good!

Aiden, also known as Blade, is a character who meticulously plans every move. He embodies darkness and raw masculinity, while Amelia, the female main character, is the epitome of femininity and submission. His over-the-top possessiveness towards Amelia is compelling, and I appreciated how unyielding he was in his devotion.
The allure of red flags in literature is undeniable, and Aiden's character is a prime example. If Amelia ever left him for someone else, I have no doubt he would resort to extreme measures, including potentially killing them both and himself. His unhinged nature is evident, and his commitment to what he considers his own is unwavering.
The storyline is rich with potential, although there were moments where it felt slightly corny or cringeworthy. Despite this, I didn't let these aspects overshadow the essence of the book. There was an abundance of events and subplots, which at times felt overwhelming. I believe that streamlining some elements could have enhanced the overall narrative.
