A sad book about real life in Afghanistan from a historic and personal view dated 2003 and so much has happened since that year that most of this book could be inaccurate. Anyway one takes it, women are not the winners in this country but are so limited by life style and lack of opportunities to do what they might wish or are capable of accomplishing. For me this narrow path would be suffocating not to be able to read, to enjoy out of doors without an escort and wearing a burka , not being able to get an education and no say in what happens in one’s life.

Even though this book was written quite a while ago and I sadly assume things have gotten worse it was a very interesting read about life in Afghanistan
