"If something like that ever happens again…don't let go of me. Don't let yourself fall alone. I'll keep a strong hold of you, so don't worry."

I am quite impressed with this second volume!

I still love the first volume more because I deeply love Irene's character and admire how strong she was to make the decisions she did, but I never imagined that Lloyd's backstory is just as saddening as Irene's!

His character was deeply fleshed out and I was shocked by a scene near the end and how "done" he was! I also am very surprised that with everything that happened in the past (from when Irene was there), Lloyd is almost looked down upon by his parents? I'm not quite sure what it is, but he doesn't seem nearly as loved as his siblings even though you can quickly tell that his siblings view him with so much love and admiration. I could not help but smile when I saw the smiles they gave Lloyd because his parents didn't seem to extend that to him, especially his father.

I am unsure of where this series is going to go. I feel volume one focused on Irene and volume two on Lloyd. Will volume three focus on them both? There hasn't been any romance before now, but I think how Irene treated Lloyd is impacting him in a greater way than either one of them anticipated.

At this point, I truly want BOTH of them to be happy, and that wasn't something I wanted for Lloyd before now! Though regardless of what happens with the romance, I NEED Sart to stay around and be his typical grumpy self! LOL! I have loved seeing his and Irene's relationship so much in this volume!

Overall, I feel like this is a personal four stars for me, but with how incredible the writing was in showing so much more of Lloyd's character, I can't give this volume anything shorter than five stars! Definitely recommend reading this volume if you want to get to know the real Lloyd!

Ughh so good!! I am really enjoying this series! I love how each of them are slowly becoming more attune to the other and more friendly. It’s so stinking cute.

Raising the star rating bc this is so good and I can’t stop thinking about it!

3 stars. More soap opera crack. I do like so many elements of it. It is so slowly developing. I want more of the sentient sword.

As continue of my review for the Vol.1
We are able to see some of the ML's past here, he is a person who focus on his path, without too much care to others...for a reason.

I love how Yamori sensei illustrated his emotions in Manga, as the description in LN was complicated to an extent that I worry how it could be drawn, but the result is faultless.

Their relationship started in a bad way, but in the end of this volume, we see the change is gonna happen.

We carry on apace & I am still irritated (Why am I still treading I hear you say, because mind your own business!). Irritating ML is vaguely impressed with FL in this one so maybe he'll be sliiiiightly less irritating in book 3? We shall seeeeeeee.

We learn more of Lloyd's background, which is good. Can't wait for all of the secrets to come out.

I don't think I'll be continuing this series. I think the magic in this is interesting but the romance is not for me

Like why is the ML her nephew and why doesn’t it bug me? But really this series has heart and pretty art. I’m very interested in reading more.

every time they talk about his family it's extra yucky, but I like the female main character
