This is a great read about many defunct cup competitions, some of which I’d known about or even watched, and others I’d never heard of. It’s full of fascinating facts, yet it’s written in such an easy and engaging way that it was a total joy to read.
If you enjoy football — especially the more obscure side of the game — this is definitely the book for you. I know the author has also written a couple of books about Walsall, a club I have no real attachment to, but this was so well written it made me want to read those too. I really hope he keeps writing!
