Davey Wilde has a problem. His father and uncles are officially retiring and handing him the reins of Wilde Security Worldwide–and he doesn’t want it. He doesn’t want the weight of the respected family business. He doesn’t want the responsibility of wrangling his wayward younger brothers and troublesome cousins. And he especially doesn’t want his first official mission as head of WSW: protect Rowan Bristow, the daughter of the most intimidating man Davey has ever known and a woman who takes great pleasure in getting under his skin.
She’s deadly…
Rowan does not need protection, despite what her overbearing ex-SEAL father and his teammates think. Yes, multiple attempts have been made on her life. Yes, she has no idea who wants her dead or why. It could be anyone–she has a knack for pissing off powerful people–but she was raised at a training compound for some of the baddest badasses on the planet, and she’s picked up a few deadly skills over the years. If she’s forced to hide with Davey Wilde–a man she can’t stand and yet can’t resist–as her bodyguard, someone will definitely end up dead… and it won’t be the killer’s doing.
If they can't learn to trust each other, this mission might just be their last.
Tonya Burrows wrote her first romance at age thirteen and hasn't put down her pen since. Originally from a small town in Western New York, she suffers from a bad case of wanderlust and is still searching for a place to call home. She shares her adventures with her husband, two adorable doodles, and Scribble the Writer Cat.
When she's not writing about hunky military heroes and their courageous K9s, Tonya can be found watching either true crime or baking shows while snuggled up on the couch with her furbabies. She also enjoys traveling—especially long road trips to see the National Parks.

I started writing this next-gen series with one thought in mind: what if Wilde Security and HORNET had a baby? I wanted to mash the sexiness and family dynamics of WS with the non-stop action and thrills of HORNET, and I think I've accomplished that with Wilde & Deadly!
I can't wait for you guys to meet this next generation!
This book is fast paced and full of action, suspense and some very steamy scenes! Rowan is a badass and total spitfire. There is some really great banter in this story and some emotional moments too.
Rowan and Davey have this intense chemistry. We get this great tension between them and at first they clash!! Rowan has a secret she is keeping that will turn Davey’s life upside down.
This was my first book by the author and I was able to jump into the story (this is the next generation of characters.) I will be going back to read to read the past Wilde books for sure!
✨What To Expect: 🥀Romantic Suspense 🔫Action Romance ❤️🔥Enemies To Lovers ✌️Second Chance ⁉️Secrets & Betrayal 💋Forced Proximity 🔪She’s A Little Stabby 🔥He’s Protective
Well I for one am loving this next gen series so far. We got a small taste in ‘A Wilde Christmas’, finding out who most of the cast of characters would be for this new series and setting the stage for of the chase that Rowan leads Davey on. Not everything is as it seems though as we find out in this action packed full length story that is so entertaining and just amazing especially if you are a fan of the OG books. I love Davey and Rowan and all the rest of the WWS team. This book is non stop action and excitement, along with some steamy sexy times between Davey and Rowan. Some of the antics among the others at times had me chuckling, adding a little light heartedness to the intensity of the story, especially Sabin, who is a chip off the old block that Cajun is. The team is up against a dangerous group that will stop at nothing to get what they want. Rowan and Davey are both in imminent danger as are some of the others. This one had me holding my breath and hoping for the best. Things definitely get a little too dicey for them. I enjoyed every heart pounding moment! And I cannot wait for Elliot’s book next and the tears of the series. And I don’t know exactly when, but I am eagerly anticipating Sabin’s book. He’s so much like his dad Jean Luc, I know I’ll love it!
What a fantastic start to a new series! I was blown away but how good it was! Wilde and deadly was the perfect name and summed the book up perfectly.
I’ve been a fan of Tonya’s books right from the start so I remember the original Wildes! I didn’t think I could love them more until this generation came along! Just brilliant! What’s even better is how there are so many of them which means loads more books!
This book was brilliant, I loved Davey and how he was settling into his new role, how he accepted Rowan was heart warming.
The twists and turns in this book had me totally hooked! I had no idea what was going to happen next. A wonderful start to the series and I can’t wait for book 2.
Wilde and Deadly picks up where the prequel novella (A Wilde Christmas) left off, and the action and drama are pretty much nonstop from there until you hit the very end of the book. (If you haven't read the novella yet you should be fine--they do mention the main events of it here--but it's one heck of a story and serves to introduce you to all of the newest generation of Wildes, so it's highly recommended.)
I honestly didn't want to put Rowan and Davey's book down--their chemistry is fabulous, and the story's tension and suspense keep you turning the pages. Watching all the Wildes in action together, both at work and outside of it, was highly entertaining as well, and the baddies? They really ratchet up the tension as the book goes on.
(I did have a bit of a disconnect with the story when someone as recently gravely injured as Rowan, especially after all the blood loss, time she was unconscious, and the fact that her care was all done outside of a medical facility has so much vigorous...ahem...*relations* so soon after waking up. As someone who's had abdominal surgery, that was a whole lot of no, thank you. But this is a romantic suspense, so not totally expected ;))
Ms Burrows does a great job of setting up future stories here, with the last chapter teasing the next book and giving us so many other Wildes who will clearly make fabulous heroes and heroines in their own right that I'll be stalking her website for sure to see when we can expect more WSW books!
In the meantime, I haven't read *all* of the author's Wilde Security or HORNET series that are a prequel of sorts to this "next gen" series, so I guess I can amuse myself with getting caught up while I wait :)
Rating: 4 stars / A-
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The Wilde next generation, Yea or better nay. I loved the Wilde brothers serie. They were funny, loyal and had each other‘s back. The Wilde Brothers were there for each other and would have died for each other. There children were the opposite of it. Let me tell you why I’m not sure I like this book. Rowan I like that Rowan is strong, independent and know how to fight. She doesn’t need a man to rescue her. But in the end she is rescued by a man. I would have preferred, if it was the other way around. I can’t understand some decision she made. Why didn’t she tell her family and the Wilde family there is a target on Davey. If the client knew who she is, her family will also have a target on them. If the knew, the could take precautions. She failed to kill Davey after six month, clearly the client would send another killer instead of her. And than she left him defenseless two times. Especially that she drugged him and left him without protection didn’t sit well with me. Why not use the whole arsenal she has, Hornet and WSW? Davey Davey came across as a little judgemental. He never worked for WSW but get to be the boss really? He doesn’t know the employee and how the company works. After one failed mission he doesn’t trust Cade anymore, but Rowan betrayed him many times and lied to him and this is OK. Daveys thinks he is entitled to be the boss. But what if he wasn’t injured, would he left the Seals? He should have talked to Cade, but no not Davey. The Cousins Cade is the one person I felt sorry for. He worked is whole life for the company and the uncles didn’t have the decency to tell him personally that he didn’t get the job. The could have made both oft hem CEO. The company seems rather large so enough work for two bosses. Maybe if Cam and his siblings would have fought for Cade, he wouldn’t be so angry. And all cousins were ok with it. It get worse they also believe he would try to kill Davey. And not just Cade would try it, no Liam too?? And this are the children of the Wilde Brothers? What kind of family are they. A royal family in the middle age or a Mafia family. But it get worse at the end Cade is collateral damage. He is exchanged for Rowan, to a criminal organisation. And yet again all cousins are ok with it. You don’t find out what the parents think, but worst parent of the decade if they are ok with it. And Davey thinks he did the right thing. Think again. But who cares you have Rowan and to hell with Cade. Not only is Cade now on is own, he also has a daughter and nobody has his back. Sad really sad. The John Wick and Winter soldier vibe I got, also didn’t sit well with me. I am disappointed, I was really looking forwad to read that book. Now it only left me rather angry and spoiled me the original serie. I don’t know if you read this Tonya, but please make this right. Please excuse the grammatical and spelling errors. English is not my mother tongue.

Oh i liked this one more than what i would have expected simply because it's not always easy to let go of the characters we came to love to discover their children adventures... in this case the transition was soft and a sense as disturbing to Davey as it was to us. Davey gets the reign of the family group but not everyone is happy about it and it 's adding pressure on Davey especially when his girlfriend flew with his dog.....while her security was his first mission.
Rowan is dangerous....loyal and dangerous so when she is hiding, fleeing her father contract Davey to chase her not knowing how well they know each other. But she does not want help she is in her own way trying to help.
Both Davey an Rowan will need to trust each other as well as their family to survive what is coming...threachery, distrust lot of action and romance with a touch of humour this was a more than great story. I really liked all the investigation part, the steamy scenes were too numerous in my opinion, it was not needed and i sure get angry with Davey as he is so bad at communication with Cam so i really hope this will be resolved soon as the family must stay together
really a great steamy romance suspense 4,5/5 to recommend ( even if you never read their parents stories)
The time has finally come. The moment Tonya's fans around the world have been anticipating. The Wildes and HORNET are BACK! And they are back with a BANG!!!!
What an incredible start into Wilde Security Worldwide. If Wilde & Deadly is an indicator for the kinds of books this new series will bring us (which of course it is), you can bet it's going to be intense. It's going to be thrilling. And it's going to be epic.
Rowan and Davey. Both kick a*as and brilliant in their own rights, but together? An unstoppable force. And they deliver a hole new level of intensity. I think they just became my favorite book couple.
When I started reading Wilde & Deadly I suddenly realized how much I actually missed the characters that first drew me into Tonya Burrows thrilling book world and made me a fan for life. It's been way too long. Even after spending the last couple of years being fully emerged in the RWCR series and loving every second of it, the Hornet and Wilde guys will always have a special place in my heart.
Even if you're not a long time fan, don't worry. This is the perfect moment to start your journey into the incredible world created by Tonya Burrows and never be the same.
Davey Wilde has had the responsibility thrust upon him ,when his father and uncle retire. It’s unwanted and unwarranted in his opinion, but what can he do? It’s a catch 22 ,he doesn’t want the responsibility of wrangling his brothers and cousins. And especially the first of his assignments for the WSW protect her Rowan Bristow, who he doesn’t really want to get to know. She in turn doesn’t yearn for this infuriating man ,yes he’s alluring as hell but he can go there too. She has good training in defensive manoeuvres and can’t be dealing with losers.. Haha this woman will go far …as long as the death attempts on her don’t come up trumps . But if the two wild ones yes it was a pun for a bit of fun… anyway if they can’t deal with each other then they will come undone ,so they must attack this situation as one. Work together for the same goal . She’s a badass and thinks she does outclass but he has tricks up his sleeve and they have a blast! Wonderful story all the neat heat and glory. I love it . Exquisite read that fills a need. Great writing by Tonya Burrows .
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Davey and Rowan - spouses of Wilde Security and HORNET merge… Imagine two bad-ass people, always fighting for the upper hand, like oil and fire but magnets. Already within the first chapter you get a glimpse of how this book is going to go. I do love all of Tonya’s books and can’t pick a favorite one, but this one is epic and a powerful start into the WSW-world. It is a bit tough to match all the cousins to the founder-Brothers of WS, but Tonya made that realizable in her own way- so you have a good impression whom‘re the cousins dads. Though I can’t wrap my head around HORNET or WS-guys being in their 60s… Anyway, amid all the fighting (not just between the two of them), family affairs and keeping up in general, Davey has to find a mole within WSW that all proof indicates is a family member. Absolutely great!! 5+ stars.
I’m a huge fan of Tonya Burrows once I found her books. I read all the Wilde ones then others and recently the redwood ones which are my favourites. Maybe I should have re read the wild ones again first but I can’t remember half the storyline being about s#x and the hero and heroines being so useless. I nearly gave up with this one and skimmed pages until a story actual happened. But it didn’t flow and left you more confused than clear. I’m also pretty sure from what I remember of the original characters ie the parents, they wouldn’t have left their kids to deal with all the treachery to happen, not once one of theirs was poisoned and the way they left them to sort out their differences by not choosing Cade just didn’t fit. Do they not talk to their children ?
I am a huge fan of Tonya and have read all her books and have enjoyed them all but when I read the wild Christmas one I was a little surprised how the whole thing went down by handing over the company to Davey but I thought okay let me see how the first book in the series goes and I have to say I have mixed feelings in this one I am not sure I enjoy Davey as a character I kinda viewed it as him always stating how family is important but how he pretty much sold out Cade at the end and he didn’t even consider how this would impact his daughter. I was disappointed as to why did he not try and reach out to his parents or Cades parents for help. I just hope that this outcome does not push Cade to become a bad guy
I am looking forward to reading the next book to see how Antarctica pans out I think I am really going to enjoy Elliot and Rue story
She was dangerous, infuriating, and completely unpredictable, yet somehow, he couldn't stop himself from worrying about her. He'd underestimated her once. Thought she was just another job: protect the daughter of a fellow ex-SEAL. Easy. Except Rowan was anything but easy.
Davey was supposed to protect Rowan, but she keeps dodging him. How can he protect someone who keeps running away??
Rowan is ditching Davey for his own good. Being with her is dangerous right now. Dangerous for anyone in her orbit. She got herself into the mess she is in, she wants to get herself out. Without anyone getting hurt.
Davey and his team find Rowan. And figure out all the things she is running from. Together, they try to figure it out. But there is definitely a price.
I love this new Wilde Security series. Tonya Burrows lures me right in and eager for more!
(4.5) Jaw dropping, heart wrenching moments fast paced pager turner with HEA, well almost. Like Davey I was getting frustrated with Rowena, but Davey has his own issues with self-doubt job wise. Wilde and Deadly had a lot of twists and surprises. Some heart-breaking moments, one that twisted me up and had me yelling no at the book. There are numerous pages of steam, I mean numerous, so if that floats your boat you will be ecstatic. I would have traded some of those for more of this plot line that set me on my butt and has me holding my breath and wondering where Wilde Security goes from here. Aye. Thank you for the advanced copy. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. #WildeandDeadly #WildeSecurityWorldwide #TonyaBurrows #DreambyDayPublishing #Bookfunnel
It’s clear Davey & Rowan have history, and those feelings run much deeper than they’ve acknowledged before. When they’re both in danger? Oh all bets are off and I ate it up. This one’s fast paced, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Rowan is an absolute boss, and doesn’t take anything from anyone. I love her and her ferocity. And Davey? He’s protective and loyal and I love him. These two make such a good team…when they’re not at each other’s throats that is. I really enjoyed this one and all the action and suspense–I can’t even tell you how many gasps I gusped! I need more about the brothers and cousins because holy plot twists!! I need answers! I desperately need more Cade in my life.
A great start to a new series that had suspense, steam, surprises, danger, and kick but characters. Starting off after the Christmas light fiasco and Rowan stealing Davey’s dog, he’s hunting her down and each time he gets close, she gives him the slip. Until he is her last choice and she needs him to survive. Secrets are spilled, tensions are high, a traitor is in Davey’s house and they race to find out who betrayed them before they strike and take them all out. Fast paced read that kept me flipping the pages, strong heroine and hero who are equally skilled and trained. I liked the little to no drama between them and a story line that will keep me wanting to read who and what is next. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This novel is a careening roller coaster of a ride! I can picture the whole thing as a terrific action movie with some of the best fighting and spicy scenes ever! I had read "A Wilde Christmas" last fall, and it was the perfect prequel novella to this story. Davey and Rowan are the sort of people that are so much alike that it is hard to imagine how they would ever mesh their lives and come together. Their physical attraction is off the charts, but their opposing goals in much of the story result in plenty of sparks flying. The suspense plot always kept me guessing. Rowan and Davey had pretty equal shares in the action/adventure moments, which is always gratifying. I am looking forward to future installments in this series!
I was given an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
Rowan and Davey are explosive, steaming hot and inevitable, it's that very fine line between love and hate and they balance precariously between the two. Or so they try to convince themselves! Until "the hit". Finding out there is a hit out changes everything, it uncovers corruption and betrayal, moles, pawns and senseless greed. Not everyone will make it through the battle and the betrayal sends shock waves that continue to ripple long after the initial strike, but Wilde's don't give up...ever. They may win this battle but the war has only just begun and Rue and Elliott are the next target in book 2. I read this on Kindle Unlimited
The first installment of the next generation of Wilde Security left me feeling a bit ambivalent. I'm trying to decide if I like Davey, the "hero." I know I didn't like the decisions he made and his apparent willingness to sacrifice a member of his family so he could have peace and happiness. But I also wonder if there is more to that decision than I know. With a Tonya Burrows book, you don't know until she writes that part of the story!
It is a well-written book full of plot twists and turns and a few mysteries that are not answered in this first book. And here I am, waiting for the next one to come out. Is it here yet?
Wilde and Deadly Book 1 of Wilde Security by Tonya Burrows picks up where the prequel "A Wilde Christmas" leaves off, the non-stop action and drama from beginning to end keeps the reader entranced. The chemistry between Rowan and Davey is off the charts good, my only problem is the "unbelievable action" after Rowan is gravely injured gave me that eyeroll moment like are you kidding me?! Seriously?! It's ot enough to turn me off the series just gave me pause. I look forward to reading more.
I received an ARC from StoryOrigin and am leaving my review freely.
Tonya has meshed worlds to give us an explosive start. All that foreplay definitely has the steam factor running Red Hot. Rowan had me so fustrated & at the same time intrigued with what the possible reason could be. Davey didn't see that coming nor me! So many twist & turns keep you on edge. Thrilling danger, action, banter & camaraderie tested with a bitter-sweet edge will keep you hooked. Fantastic start to this series!
Davey is offered a job he really doesn't want but the uncles and his dad want him to run WSW. Then you throw in Rowan and it's like oil and water, but the chemistry is there between them. Tonya did a great job bringing everything together this may be my favorite book yet there's so many twists and turns, danger, action and a betrayal that I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to see where Toyna takes us next with this series.
Loved it! Davey and Rowen are undoubtedly drawn to each other, despite their efforts to fight it. Ro has gone so far above and beyond to try to protect Davey but somehow the danger still keeps coming. There are twists and turns and unexpected moments in this story, emotional highs and emotional lows. A truly engaging story that I could not put down until it was finished. Absolutely looking forward to more stories about these families.
Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
I read this book in one sitting and I loved every second of it. The chemistry and passion between Davey and Rowan was undeniable and sizzling. They were made for each other.
Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers, romantic suspense then you’re going to love it.
Lots of actions, with twists and turns. Somehow it didn’t quite grip me like other Burrows stories have. At times I felt it dragged a bit. Of course, I am comparing against high standards. Still a 4-star read, and all the prerequisite ingredients one does expect in a romantic suspense.
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
After Rowan crossed Davey Wilde, and stole his dog he never wanted to see her again but when she needs his security help, she needs him.
Rowan and Davey are kind of like mortal enemies but the attraction is more than strong. She did cross him and needs to make amends but he has so much on his plate with Wilde Security.
I enjoyed their dynamic and with the team as well. It's the start of a series and I for one can't wait for more. Excellent book really!
Wow! So much intrigue, drama, and heat! I didn't want to put it down. The dynamics between all the characters is fascinating and I can't wait to read more. This was the first in the series. There is a storyline arc that I am sure will be running through them all (or most), so I would think it would be best to read them all as they come out. I will anyway because I am hooked!
New series and off to a great start. Loved the chase that Rowan takes Davey on, till he finally pins her down. Then you get into the nitty gritty of the story. Plenty of action, unexpected betrayal and family angst. Looking forward to the next book.
I received a review reader’s copy of the book, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
OK I had a really hard time getting into this book, I didn't like Rowan at all, but Tonya has away of turning her characters right. So by the end of the book I really liked Rowan and of course Davey loved him.
I absolutely loved Davey & Rowan's story, and so will you. Lots of love, choas, and intrigue. Thanks, Tonya, for writing another amazing series start. Can't wait for more of the Wilde's and WSW.
