Hero of My Own Story, Part One

Rate this book
One teenage geek's world was about to be tilted on its axis...

All she wanted to do that night was go to Prom. That's kind of hard to do when you've been kidnapped.

Seventeen year old Aislin is a proud geek. The last thing she expects is to be nabbed off the street on the way home from the library one day. But she is and that's not the last surprise in store for Aislin.

She's about to find out a surprising secret about her parents. And she's about to find something out about herself - she might just be more like the characters in her books, movies and games, than she thinks.

Jessica Jaster lives in Iowa with her husband and her (currently) one year old and two year old. She has always had an over-active imagination and has been making stories up in her head for herself for as long as she can remember and finally decided to start writing them down (when she is not busy chasing the two little ones around anyway) and sharing them with anyone interested. Most ideas she has so far for her novels are for young adults, some fantasy, some science fiction and some normal contemporary story-lines.

Aislin is a 17 year old self proclaimed Geek who gets kidnapped on the day of her prom. The only reason she wants to go to prom is so she can finally claim Lucas Chase as her own, but no she has to be sitting in the back of a van with three bad guys with no idea why they would even want her! She has the irritating habit of droning off random facts when she's nervous, which she of course is nervous having been tied up and blindfolded and kidnapped.

Very cute part one to an unexpected twist in a very creative short story! I'm about to start up Part 2 after I post this review.
