What is the difference between living the life of your dreams and struggling to break out of a cycle of dissatisfaction? Simple but transformative, Bounce Back lays out a realistic path to getting and keeping everything you’ve ever wanted.
The secret to true success lies in how quickly you bounce back when you stray off the path. That is what sets the wildly successful apart. It’s not about never missing a 5am alarm or swearing off carbs forever. It’s not being perfectly, unwaveringly zen or crushing your meticulously crafted to-do list before midday. Messing up is inevitable, perfection is a myth, but you absolutely can have the life of your dreams if you commit to mastering this one thing.
Mimi Bouchard introduces the Bounce Back Rate™—a practical, actionable tool to help you measure and improve the way you recover from setbacks —and offers a framework for applying it to your own life. Whether you want to improve your relationships, overhaul your career, switch up your habits, or stop repeating the same old mistakes, Bounce Back will help you get clear on what you truly want, make it a reality, and keep it for good. This is your sign to stop waiting until Monday to go after everything you’ve ever wanted.
Ahh, I really wanted to rate this book higher. I’ve been a fan of the author and know she has more original, insightful things to share. But this felt more like a compilation of popular self-help concepts , think Atomic Habits or Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing , the tools she covers are genuinely effective and well explained. If you’re new to personal development, this is a great starting point. It gathers some of the best foundational tools in one place.
But if you’ve already read a lot in this space, you might find yourself wishing for more depth or originality.
I loved the concept of this book and being in this kind of headspace, but it wasn’t very original or personal. It felt like just another average self help book and a bit of a money grab. I’m a fan of Mimi and know she has more insightful things to share, but this read more like a compilation of popular self help concepts such as Atomic Habits or Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself rather than something fresh.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The tools she shares are effective, easy to follow, and clearly explained. If you’re new to personal development, this is actually a great starting point because it gathers some of the best foundational tools in one place.
If you’ve read a lot in this space already, you might find yourself wishing for more depth, originality, or personal storytelling. It’s the kind of book I wish I had in my teenage years, but as a seasoned reader of self growth content, it didn’t leave a lasting impact.
The book I wish I had in my teenage years. Activate Your Future Self blends neuroscience with psychology and personal development to help you intentionally design and embody the person you want to become. It’s practical, inspiring, and grounded in science making the process of transformation feel both exciting and achievable.
I really really respect and enjoy mimi's perspective on "meditation". I was already a user of her app- activations for years but this book did bring a new perspective of her teachings.
I resonated with her activities of fully feeling the emotion that you want to feel more of, example-health or abundance. fully allowing myself to feel that feeling, then layering another emotion on time. i truly felt my frequency rise just by this activity alone.
Her voice is so soothing to listen to and i like that she sounds like a real human, not someone that is putting on a show, a girl who reached her dreams and wants to share how.
I've been a big fan of Mimi and Activations for years (I remember being so excited for the launch of Mimi Method!). I'm so proud to see her finally publish her first book, and this was a brilliant first one.
A great introductory book that covers the aspects of personal development that Mimi has so often spoken about. It's not deep, but it's a great reminder of foundational concepts that we can incorporate into everyday life. I'd recommend this to anyone new to personal development, manifestation or meditation, or those more experienced and wanting a light read.
I’ve followed Mimi on social media for a few years now and was really looking forward to this book. While there are some good tidbits here and there, I found it to be more of a compilation of various self help advice from different sources. She doesn’t speak a lot about her personal life and the book overall felt very stilted. Overall, it was ok but I probably wouldn’t buy another book from her in the future.
There's lots of good information in this book and some helpful lessons in the first half of the book. As you read, pause and do any work the author asked you to do because they build on it as they go through the book. As the author builds on everything they're teaching you, you will build on everything you are learning which will be beneficial. The activation tracks in the audio version are very powerful and I enjoyed them.
As a fan of Mimi Bouchard’s Activations app I was really excited to read this book and I wasn’t disappointed. While it may not have had the most groundbreaking revelations, there were some great reminders and guides prompts to help develop the tools that her app is working towards. Definitely worth a read for those who enjoy reading a personal development book.
If you’re new to the world of personal development, self-image psychology and manifestation, I highly recommend this book — it’s a great primer. I’m a long-time fan of Mimi’s Activations app and podcast, so I was hoping for new, original or advanced concepts like she teaches in the app. That said, this is still a great foundational read and I enjoyed the audiobook narration.
I have read a lot of self help books and I really like her style, almost like minimalism in writing form. A lot of it I have heard before, but the bounce back rate section is new to me and i liked it!
I used to work for Mimi so it was exciting to read this knowing how long she has worked on it. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a lot of personal development. The perfect reset for your mindset.
Activations app has been so powerful and the book helped me to go even deeper. I truly took the time to journal and work through Mimi’s guidance and have found myself stepping into a new energy and frequency!
I love Mimi’s podcast (activate) and her morning routine course I took years ago that was very transformative. I find her voice soothing and her life inspiring. This book was a culmination of her tools, it was an easy read
Everyone needs to be activating their future self daily.
This is a fantastic, realistic, inspiring book. Between this this book and the Let Them Theory by Meb Robinson, everyone should have and read when start adulthood.
This book combines highlights from other self help books. If you read a lot of self help, this will not be new. However, it does have a link for a free 90 day trial of the Activations App.
been a fan of mimi since i was like 14 so had to read it but can’t lie i was not impressed. concepts were very elementary and felt a little all over the place but all good reminders
I loved this book! I will definitely reference this book for a very long time, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys manifestation, self help, a growth mindset, and affirmations.
As an avid consumer of Mimi’s content and app, there wasn’t much in here that I hadn’t heard her say previously. Motivating to reread for a refresher though
