"Fire Lily" by Deborah Camp
My Thoughts...
"Fire Lily" was indeed quite a fascinating read where Lily Jane Meeker and Griffon Golforth come together and with their psychic powers are able to find Cecille Meeker who was a cousin of Lily. What will happen when Lily finds out that she has the ability to read ones mind and share her dreams? Also with her 'Tactile Memory Lily was able to touch things and sense things about them.' Why did it seem to be a problem for her to admit she had this psychic powers to be able to do this? What had happened earlier in her life where Lily seem to want to shut it all out about her memory? Who was Griffon Golforth who was of the American Society of Psychic Research and seemed to be able to figure out Lily powers so very well? Why had he been hired by this family?
This was really a intriguing story in how this author puts this story all together in this historical romantic read that will bring out the 'sexy, mysterious and dangerous' side of this well written read with the main area being focused around Boston, Fort Smith and Van Buren.
What will happen as Lily is drawn to Griffon as her 'girlhood dream was that of marrying a dashing, romantic Gypsy?' Will her dream come true? Well, this is one of those novels that you will just have to pick up and read for yourself to see just who was Griffon Golforth and just why had he been hired to find Cecille? The characters in this read were simply off the chain...well developed, portrayed and believable giving the reader one heck of a good story. The characters from Lilly, Griffon, Uncle Howard, Aunt Nan, Angela & Edward Meeker, Orrie, Cecille, Balthazar [Zar], Sheriff Mac, Thurman Unger, Ham, Anson, Jasper, Eva, Butch Jefferses to a few others really presented the reader with some engaging thoughts that will keep you turning the pages to see what was coming next. Yes, there were some good and bad ones characters to along with some prejudices too!
By the end will their be a HEA for Lily and Griffon? You will just have to pick up this good read to see.

Reminded me of the books that I started with..
I loved this book! I won this one in a giveaway from the author. I've read her Minds Eye series and I'm a big fan.
This is a historical romance with a psychic bent. It doesn't overwhelm the plot at all.
Lily cousin is missing and other avenues to find her have failed. Griffon was hired to find her using alternative methods. Turns out that Lily has a few secrets of her own....
This book reminds me of the books I started with when reading became such an obsession with me. I devoured many and just swooned.. a pleasant memory.
It could be said that it's a "bodice ripper" but Griffin never forces her to do anything. There is some sex but really not detailed or explicit at all. I would call it sensual in the heat factor. Its a complete book with a HEA. I enjoyed the time reading it and glad I did.

Lilys cousin is kidnapped and Griffon is hired to find her. Lily insists she and her housekeeper/ friend go along to find Cecelia. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after.

I like Debra’s books.This was different from the books I read before .About a missing cousin and about family hiring someone to find her..One could read the mind and turns out her cousin can too.It had parts that were slow but love wins out and mystery adventure and see if all ends well.

Set in the early west her family lists the help of a psychic to find her missing cousin. I started to miss pages etc. Lost interest.

I liked the story line, but boy did Lily tick me off sometimes. I get that in the 1800's women didn't have a lot of choices. She wanted to be able to do everything a man could do. But she was stupid about it. She was supposedly intelligent, but she would say stupid things, and barge in where she wasn't needed. And considering they were looking for her missing cousin, she wasn't at all sensitive to the hostilities around her. Men with guns? So what they have my cousin. Let's go get her regardless. Just dumb things.The romance was sweet. Except for the fact that he pressured her to have sex before marriage. He was so intent on 'freeing' her from her constraints, that he didn't seem to care how it would affect her in the future. He didn't offer her anything in exchange. Like words of love or plans for the future. He basically treate
