Stardust Beach #3

The Space Between

Rate this book
She’s building rockets for NASA—

but can she build the life she truly wants?

At just twenty-seven, Jeanie Florence is blazing a trail few women have ever walked—as one of NASA’s brightest young engineers. While America races to put a man on the moon, Jeanie is quietly making history behind the scenes, her calculations propelling astronauts into space. But when it comes to love? She’s still stuck firmly on the launchpad.

Her heart belongs to Bill Booker—an older, married astronaut whose orbit she knows she has no business entering. But emotions don’t always follow logic, and Jeanie is starting to wonder if love and ambition can ever truly coexist.

As the pressure to “be everything” mounts—perfect daughter, loyal friend, brilliant scientist—Jeanie finds herself pulled between who the world expects her to be and the woman she’s desperate to become. And in a decade that’s redefining what women are allowed to want, she’ll have to is it enough to reach for the stars, or is she brave enough to demand the moon?

Smart, stirring, and full of heart, Stardust Book Three is a moving story of quiet strength, impossible choices, and the women behind the space race who dared to want more. Perfect for fans of Kate Quinn, Marie Benedict, and Hidden Figures.

3/5 stars - Didn’t like this one as much but still enjoy the way the series is progressing. Jeanie is slightly whiny about her station in life which is a little annoying but I know it was par for the course during this timeframe. Interested to see where she and Bill’s “friendship” goes.

I am enjoying this series but on page 172 the men are talking about the Super Bowl and in the next few paragraphs talking about how it’s been a year since JFK was assasinated. That would make it 1964. However the first Super Bowl was in 1966. 😬

I have not read the first two books in this series but always enjoy her books. This series is totally different from all the tropical and prior beach series. Overall enjoyed it.

Great book

Very good story in the continuing series that is mainly about Bill and Jo Booker. Though now Jeanie Florence is inserting herself into the Booker's marriage.
