Ten of a Kind

Ten Hammers

Rate this book
I’m on a TV show with my ten best friends.
This is our last season, and we’re going out with a bang.
But which one of the ripped, hunky Hammer brothers will I end up with?
Spoiler maybe all
ten of them…

Since I was a little girl, I’ve been best friends with my ten neighbors - the Hammer brothers. But when I pitched the idea for a TV show with them to a network, I never expected it to take off like this… now, after years of traveling and fixing up houses together, we’ve reached our final season.

It’s going to be dang hard to say goodbye to the show, and I definitely don’t want to lose my best friends… all of whom I’ve been crushing on since childhood. But maybe this final hurrah means my fantasies will come true?

When we all go back to my childhood home, I quickly become overwhelmed - and overheated - by the Hammer brothers. I mean, nobody could last as long as I have, watching these men’s rock hard bodies, glistening with sweat as they drill… and hammer… and nail.

Our show may be ending, but things are about to get really spicy on set. Because it seems like I’m not the only one crushing. And it’s not just one of the brothers who wants me… not two, four, or six…

But all ten of these gorgeous, hunky, muscular dreamboats seem to want me - a plus size girl who’s been following them around like a puppy for years.

I have to pretend things are cooling down for the cameras, and meanwhile, my life is sizzling hot with tension.

I bet nobody sees the plot twist coming their way…

TEN HAMMERS is the 1st book in the Ten of a Kind Series, featuring the one & only Winnie and her ten gorgeous best friends who can't get enough of her curves. It's a spicy standalone why choose rom-com with an extra sweet HEA guaranteed!

2.75⭐️ please don't ask me the color of anything or the name of anyone from this book

Ok, I think the fmc is called Winifred. When I initially read the description, I thought I was about to read a TV reality show of how 10 hunks managed to woo one lucky girl... well that was a bit misleading and this isn't exactly that...

Infact, by the time the book started the show was over and we were only told about it on 2 pages which is a pity because that would have been a more exciting main/center plot

With that being said, I couldn't keep track of any of the mmcs or their individuality or personalities and our fmc was also very immature which didn't help make the story better. There were a few good dates and the smut was good but I wasn't feeling the chemistry between her and any of these guys.

I get it, it's impractical and the connections weren't fully formed, I mean it would literally be impossible since little Winnie like us only has 24 hours in a day and while having a foursome with the triplets would completely forget that one of the other "Hammers" was jealous about not being the one to take her v-card and never bring it up again. She is a "lucky" girl not a superhero therapist for 10 grown men 🙂

10 v. 1?? HOW??? 😳😳😳 I'm not going to remember all those names that's for sure!!

Don’t get me wrong love all the ideas of this book. But Winnie ruined like the whole thing, her personality just didn’t hit. Her acting like this at her grown age and her only being likable when she was flirting. Like that is literally the only time she had a personality that wasn’t weird, whiny, and creepy.

And the self doubt was a little much like it took away from all the good moments. Which to be fair is how it really goes but I don’t want it here in this book.

I do wish we got more of the whole plot though, it would have been great. If we had more tv and more drama. And more background into each of their relationships not just as friends but as siblings. And of their lives growing up having 10 brothers.

I am going to have to read this when it is released if only to understand the uh logistics of this sort of RH. 10 v 1?!

Upon further inspection, all the guys are related, so I'm assuming it's more 1v1, just with 10 people at different times. I guess we'll see in a few days!

Guys………I know what this looks like, and I just have to say for myself…….that I did it for science, okay?! I did it so you wouldn’t have to!! I did it cuz I had to know….how? Why? Also how? Also once again, why? This one popped up on my KU recs and I just kept thinking, “wait but no, really?” and eventually I just had to know. Turns out that yup, these ten guys really all have sex with her. While these brothers are all adopted which kind of helps (eh?) some of them are twins and there is a set of triplets so that part is weird if you think about it. The book is definitely for girlies who are feeling twirly (if that wasn’t obvious). She’s curvy so that’s a thing that we usually like to see. Spice level was five peppers if you couldn’t guess that either 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I’m a big fan of reverse harem’s and Ten Hammer’s did not disappoint. Winnie and the Ten Hammer brothers have just finished the 8th and last season of the reality tv show 1 Girl, 10 Hammers. The eleven of them grew up together and while Winnie was dealing with a verbally and emotionally abusive home life the Hammers would invite her over to play and eat family meals together. Winnie has had a crush on all the Hammer brothers since she was young and unknown to her the brothers have had crushes on her. Being a reverse harem you can imagine where it goes from there.
Ten Hammers had a creative hook to it in that they had been childhood friends that later became reality tv stars together. I enjoyed how they worked together to show her what they had to offer her and the fact that she was a plus size woman with self esteem issues that they guys were willing to show her she was beautiful just as she is. The fact that she is a plus sized woman with ten men who want her reinforces that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and men aren’t just looking for the tall skinny blond.
I enjoyed Ten Hammers and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. If you enjoy reverse harem books then I recommend reading Ten Hammers.

Picked because I was curious how she'd handle ten guys. Lets see if I get this right. Max and Mason the third act screw ups. Jack the many nicknamed. Leo and Theo the sandwich twins. Gunner the pining song writer next door. Gavin shoulder to cry on and Pooh bear namer. Axel the sweetheart, Cruz the flirt and Diesel who sadly only reminded me of Bullet train. Looks like all ten did stay memorable.

Jack was kinda the clipboard leader that fell to the way side. Couldn't stand Max. I liked Mason, but Max got into his head. Gavin and Axel were my faves, one being there to help Winnie face her fears, and the other being the only sensible guy in the lot. Stupid pacts, body shaming, crappy father and grandma, jealousy and a choosing experiment between ten guys, which I didn't like. A lot of insecurity and it kinda got repetitive. I'm surprised they only got caught with Winnie dating one Hammer brother, they weren't subtle at all.

Winnie is the star of a home design show with her ten best friends. When the final season airs the guys all come up with an idea to do one last reno before they part ways.

This was a super cute read and totally swoon worthy. I loved the characters of the book. I enjoyed watching Winnie overcome all of her childhood trauma and becoming a heck of a powerhouse. Honestly I wish there was more of the book it ended too soon.

4.5* - Rounded up to 5...

I loved how adoption and found family are portrayed so positively in this book. I was wondering how a family of 10 boys would work, but loved how the adoption of the multiples, and Jack, gives a fabulous spin on how the Hammer Family came to be.

I loved how the Hammer Brothers worked together, and supported each other, and how they were able to accept each other as more than just brothers, but were able to create a situation where they could truly support, encourage, and build up the kind of love and live that Winnie needed to truly flourish.

Also, being a reverse harem, with 10 guys (Wow!), I was interested to see how dynamics, etc would work, but Liz Archer dealt with these scenes and scenarios really well, and nothing felt unrealistic or uncomfortable.

A really fun, fabulous and uplifting read!.

Holy Cow! Great story

I was worried about how this book was going to portray all the relationships, and they did better than expected. This story never bogged down and did not rush. Perfect timing as we read this glorious HEA.

I’ve only ever given 1 other book a 1 star review so that should tell you something. The FMC is so annoying I couldn’t bear to spend another minute in her head and DNF’d at just under 60%. She literally hates herself and is so self deprecating, even during the spicy scenes so it completely takes you out of the moment. Every woman has insecurities don’t get me wrong, but that’s literally ALL she talks about. I can’t even picture her as attractive in my mind because the way she talks about herself you’d think she’s an ogre. Like literally the way she describes herself I’m picturing Agatha from the show Jessie on Disney Channel. 💀 I’ve read dark books with significantly worse trauma and the FMC’s still aren’t as abusive to themselves as Winnie is. It’s literally unbearable to read.

absolutely love

This is such a cute friends to lovers read. I love the story and the characters. It was really good. I wish I had gotten more with them once they were coupled up and less afraid of being found out. I wish more had come with the run in with Sara and Jonesy but it was so good

Eh

If you're into reading just pure smut, then go for it. The plot is flimsy and I don't find the main character to be all that likeable, to be honest. I was wondering how balancing 10 MMCs would balance out and the answer is that it really doesn't. They don't feel fully fleshed out, everything feels rushed. I was hoping for a fun romcom vibe but honestly found it to be hard to get into. The character development wasn't there, the personalities were all very one-dimensional. Also read the bonus epilogue for giggles and *spoilers* spontaneous quads and spontaneous quints are so unlikely it's laughable to include them, and the fact that a woman wrote the line that it's good that they were delivered via C-section so that her sex life wasn't ruined by delivering multiples is juvenile and gross.

Having all 10 of the guys be brothers was just a bit creepy, even if they were adopted. The FMC was kind of one dimensional and unbelievable. Having a curvy FMC could have been so entertaining but this one felt flat and kind of whiny. Most men like their women to have some self-confidence but Winnie was just whiny. If you want smut but not much of a plot this book is for you.

Primary Tropes/Features: Reverse harem/Why Choose romance (FMMMMMMMMM, with MF, MFM, MFMM, scenes ), Friends to lovers, Mutual pining, Virgin heroine, Plus sized heroine

Secondary Tropes/Features: Friends with benefits, Workplace romance

Micro trope: Pierced down below hero, Tattooed hero, Tattooed down below Hero, Hero with dimples

Safety warning/Triggers:

I’ll be honest I started this book out of sheer curiosity for how a 11 person reverse harem/why choose romance could work and I have to say with the tropes present, the balance of relationship and plot building scenes to spicy ones, and the writing style it worked well.

Winnie was a creative, friendly, and despite spending the last 8 years or so of her life on a tv show, a behind the cameras/behind the scene kind of girl. She was also an emotional character very impacted by her past experiences and the subsequent trauma and internalised fat phobic idealisation she had. She was likeable and who she was presented as was understandable considering her backstory and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t impactful. I think her growth from who she was at the start of the book developed at a pace suiting the overall tone of the book but there were times when it became a little too much too often and overshadowed parts of the relationship development and dynamic of the group. This did ruin things a little for me but I don’t think it had such an impact on me and my experience of this book to lessen what was otherwise a largely light hearted romance.

I’m not going to comment on all of the guys individually but rather as a collective as it would make this review a lot longer and honestly, it’d be hard to do. As described by Winnie, they were each "selfless, generous, respectful, and caring” in their own way but there were times when all of the Hammer men blended into one another and any distinct differences or uniqueness got lost, which is understandable given that there were 10 of them and more often than not there was always multiple of them in one scene. However I do think that Jack, Mason, Max, Theo, Leo, Gunnar, Gavin, Axel, Diesel, and Cruz were given their time to shine. We got to see and begin to understand who they were and how their individual relationship with Winnie worked and were given an opportunity to get invested in them. In addition to getting insights into what their brotherly relationship was like, considering that all these men were brothers, whether that be biological or adoptive.

This isn't the first reverse harem I've read where it follows a plot of ‘date all of us until you decide who you want to be with’ but I do think it's one of the only ones I've read with this plot that had developed and given dedicated page time to the portrayal of emotions that come from that. Particularly with the guys and their ‘I love this woman, I want to be with her. And I don't know what I'm going to do if she doesn't pick me’ emotions. I feel like in the chapters where we were given the guys POV, it developed and portrayed these emotions and thoughts in a way that had an impact on the reader but there were times when it felt underdeveloped and skipped over due to how many people there were - and that could easily be solved by there being fewer men. But overall it gave this reverse harem a very refreshing take because you could see how much the guys had invested in the potential of a relationship with Winnie and the good and bad emotions which came from their current situation. The feelings of jealousy, sadness, fun, all mixed together in a way that really brought to life the male characters and then subsequently with Winnie too because you then had her reactions to those displays of emotions from the men.

This was overall an enjoyable reverse harem romance that didn't feel over the top or with too much spice over plot considering how many people were within this relationship. It dealt with and featured triggering themes but was ultimately a light hearted read that really focused on the fun that comes from a friends to lovers romance and finally acting on feelings that you’ve kept hidden for decades.

Ten Hammers is the first book in Archer's new Ten Of A Kind Series. This "why choose", friends to lovers, contemporary romance features Winnie Wainright and the Hammer brothers: Jack, Mason, Max, Theo, Leo, Gunnar, Gavin, Axel, Diesel and Cruz.

Winnie is 28-year old, plus sized woman who grew up in an emotionally and verbally abusive household. The voices of her deceased father and grandmother continue to live rent-free in her head, and it has killed her self-esteem. Her childhood was salvaged by her found family - the Hammers, including Anna and Jonathan, and their 10 boys. They welcomed her in, accepted her exactly as she was, and offered her much needed love. The Hammer brothers became her best friends.

When she was of legal age, she planned to rent an apartment with the money she managed to squirrel away, but the brothers had also been saving and pooled all their funds to buy her a fixer-upper, which they then fixed up. They created an oasis just for her. That project led them to become reality show stars on a home renovation show called 1 Girl, 10 Hammers.

The show was a huge success, possibly because of all the shirtless eye candy, but also because of the heart which Winnie brought to every episode. After almost a decade though, they decided it was time to walk away. Winnie has no idea what's next for her, but she does know that her heart hurts knowing she won't be seeing her boys on the daily. She's not ready for it to end.

When Winnie learns that an offer was put on her grandmother's house, with the intent to tear it down, her boys rally and they decide to do one more renovation together to try and help her bury the ghosts of her past. Even just seeing the house is traumatic for Winnie but she knows she has the support of her best friends.

In addition to the work on the house, Winnie has another plan. She has never been physical with anyone but very much wants to lose her virginity to one of the brothers. Winnie and Max had started a secret friends-with-benefits thing where clothes stayed on, but she's ready to lose the clothes.

When the secret is discovered, Winnie learns that each and every one of the brothers is interested in her, and they want a chance to be chosen. She is shocked and in complete disbelief that these beautiful, sexy, delicious men would see her as more than a platonic friend. They convince her to give them a chance and Winnie is more than willing to try and figure out who her favourite Hammer might be.

When I picked this one up, I did not anticipate loving it as much as I did. As a woman who lives in a larger body, I connected with Winnie's character and understood her self-esteem and body image issues. It was wonderful reading the multiple POVs to appreciate the brothers' perspectives. Each one adored her and endeavoured to make her feel not only desirable but also valued. They each had their own unique relationship with Winnie and had an opportunity to explore their attraction to her (#spicy).

The writing evoked a variety of emotions for me, but it also made me laugh. Here are a few lines I particularly enjoyed:

"I have a dildo named after each of the brothers."

"What a colossal bummer to realize I'll be living in Dildo City, Population 1 for the foreseeable future..."

"...hammered by a Hammer,..."

"My basement is flooded and needs your attention, sir."

...along with many others.

Of note, there's also a bonus epilogue which is well worth the read.

Since I loved this one so much, I'm already looking forward to checking out the next one: Ten Mountain Men which is expected September 2024.

I was really excited to read this book when I read the summary on Amazon, but overall I just liked it. It wasn't a book that I think I'll read again, and it wasn't a book that I hated; it was just middle of the road. Had the book just been about her exploring a poly relationship to see if it would work in practice with all of these guys that she's been infatuated with for years, I think I would have liked it better. But they all turned it into something that was designed to hurt someone's feelings and then were surprised when people's feelings got hurt. In addition to creating a challenge to end up with her favorite Hammer brother, the dynamic included sex. And while I am all about a girl finding her inner freak and coming into her own sexually, if the goal was really to find which brother (singular) she would end up with, adding sex into the mix just complicates things.
If reverse harem/why choose is your jam, this is one that you should definitely check out. Just go in knowing that there might be some things that irritate you about it.

One of the other things that I wasn't a huge fan of in this book is how often Winnie's weight is a topic of conversation. And a lot of that is Winnie herself being anxious or introspective of her weight and how that affects things, but it's the whole damn focus of so many things. Winne is not her weight alone, but since it's so damn prevalent throughout the book, it seems like that's all the book is about at times. We get it - the girl is overweight and self conscious about it. There's no need to remind us every 5 pages!

While a poly relationship where all the guys involved are wholly focused on the happiness and pleasure of the woman in said relationship sounds good in theory, in practice - 10 dicks are way too many dicks to keep occupied. Someone is always going to be left out, unless they're constantly running a damn train on the poor woman. Vaginas are resilient, but not made of Teflon.

Even though I don't think Winnie should have had sex with ANY of the guys if she was truly going to only choose one brother to ultimately end up with, the sex in this book is next level. A solid 4/5. Thank God there are no M/M scenes in this one, all the guys are brothers. Which adds a level of "ick" but I suppose the fact that there are 10 of them really is the focus of this book instead of the sibling aspect. Personally, I tried to just ignore that fact during any and all sex scenes. If there had been any serious kink, I would have upped it to 5/5. Because when these 11 aren't renovating a house, they're going at it like rabbits.

Definitely sign up for the newsletter to read the bonus chapter! You see Winnie and the guys 10 years into the future and find out what they all got up to after their TV series ended. Turns out that multiples are genetic and they have their own brood of children as well. But it was worth the read!

Ten Hammers is a complex, character-heavy novel that ultimately left me feeling lukewarm. It's a 2 1/2 ⭐️ read, with both strengths and weaknesses worth noting.

The book introduces us to ten male characters, each with their own unique traits, but keeping track of them proved to be a real challenge. Names, personalities, and physical descriptions often blurred together, making it difficult to remember who was who. This lack of clear distinction among the characters detracted from the overall reading experience. Several times I found myself flipping back, trying to recall if certain characters had been introduced earlier or if I had missed something significant about them.

Despite this, I found myself enjoying each male character individually. They each had their drama and shortcomings, but I appreciated learning about their personalities. However, ten characters were simply too many. I believe the book would have been more effective with a smaller cast—perhaps five key characters would have been more manageable and allowed for deeper development.

The intimate scenes were a highlight, well-written and descriptive, adding intensity to the narrative. For a character who was quite inexperienced at the beginning, the progression into more intense encounters happened swiftly, almost jarringly so. While the smut was undoubtedly engaging, it overshadowed the emotional bonds I hoped to see develop between Winnie, the female main character, and each of the brothers.

Winnie's character was another source of frustration. Her insecurities, stemming from past trauma, were understandable but felt repetitive and inconsistent. She often doubted the love and reassurances from the brothers, yet seemed oddly secure during moments of conflict, which felt out of character. This flip-flopping made it difficult to root for her and weakened the emotional impact of the story.

The emotional dynamics between Winnie and the brothers also felt lacking. While there was plenty of physical connection, the deeper, emotional bonds were not as well-developed as I had hoped. The synopsis suggested a stronger why-choose dynamic, but instead, it felt like Winnie often disregarded the feelings of the male characters, leaving them in states of sadness and self-doubt.

In the end, Ten Hammers felt like a mixed bag. The sheer number of characters diluted the story, and while the smut was great, it overshadowed the potential for a richer romantic narrative. I found myself more attached to the male characters and wishing for fewer of them or even separate books focusing on each.

Overall, it was an average read—nothing exceptional, but not terrible either. If you're in the mood for a character-heavy, steamy read, this might be up your alley. However, if you're looking for a deeper, more emotionally engaging romance, you might find yourself wanting more.

This was a RH romance read. Yes, it's really 10 men, 1 woman. I have read a few RH, but never with this many guys and found myself asking how that could be written in a coherent way. It.....kinda doesn't if you want depth. Though, I loved the banter and the out of nowhere words usage that had me cackling away. This book was quite funny whether intentional or not.
This follows Winnie who has been friends with the Hammer brothers since they were children, and they all went on to create a reality TV show together making houses for people. When the show is ending they all don't want their time together to end, so the boys decide to convince Winnie to fix her old childhood home. She eventually agrees despite all the bad memories it brings. From here, spice and hilarity commence as Winnie goofs, making the brothers admit they all want a chance with her, much to her delight. They all have dates with her, and she finds it even harder to choose.
All I can say, while cheesy, thank goodness there were sets of twins and triplets or I'd struggle even more to keep appearances of each in check! Though, it never felt like anyone truly had a depth of personality and not everyone had things to stand out. No one felt connected. I guess a few more sweet moments would have been nice. Sometimes the spice felt like someone writing out their wild fantasy rather than something connecting the characters.
While the plot is there....it felt kind of flimsy at best, and ended up being mostly smut. Not necessarily a bad thing, but there wasn't much depth to anything which made the idea of a 10 RH feel not as workable.
I also found it a bit inconsistent how Winnie battles her trauma and seems shy and reserved, but then all of a sudden she's just flirting away and thinks only about jumping bones all the time and standing up to them about things. Also TW for fat shaming trauma. It happens....a bit too much almost.
Now....I like some angst, and I like it to draw out just a bit. The angst seemed like it was over just as soon as it started. Like....she just immediately gets over it, and it's all okay???
If you're looking for a deep, romantic book, this won't be it. If you're looking for something light that doesn't require a lot of thinking, lots of smut, and you want to laugh? Definitely pick this one up. It isn't anything major, but it can be a good way to just relax and have something mostly light hearted.

As is the case with many other reviewers, I was tasked by my bookclub with reading this for science. I should not have done that, as it quickly became a hate read. I’m sorry Lindsay, but the limit does exist and ten is over the limit. It read a bit like an ARC with a lot of grammatical errors that you just have to stumble through. The story starts out with my “favorite” trope plus size FMC has no self esteem until the conventionally hot MMC f*cks it into her later in the book. If I have to read “don’t read the comments, bestie” one more time, I will scream. Bonus points: she is a virgin, so the story must include an outburst to the quirky side friend about “being a virgin for FOREVER”. Sure the, I can’t find anyone narrative makes sense until a CHAPTER LATER we find out she has been sneaking off to kiss one of them in hot and heavy make out sessions that end because SHE says the clothes have to stay on. Girl, make it make sense.

I am a Reverse Harem girlie, I worship at the altar of our Patron Saint Dr. Emily Rath, but if you are going to shoot for the moon and give me 10, I need them to be different. I get the ick from siblings so this was ick on steroids, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY MULTIPLE SETS???? It would have been just as easy to have 10 adopted brothers from different biological circumstances, it just feels like the author couldn’t be bothered to make up 10 different looking men and had to cut and paste the looks over and over. You have enough participants that you don't have to make anyone in the group scenes related, so that was a choice.
OH MY GOD, YOU CAN’T JUST TAKE OUT A PRINCE ALBERT MID SCENE. WHY DO THE TWINS HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING TOGETHER??? This is not a sharing is caring moment. (Okay, you have earned back half a star for Thor’s Hammer.) The finale bang chapter, woof. That was a lot. I guess it would have been a lot better for me if it wasn’t brothers. And then she changed her name to Hammer too… it was just kind of ick. But I mean Game of Thrones and House of Dragon are very popular shows, so maybe it has a market. Also minus points for sneaking in accidental pregnancies in the epilogues.

Winnie, when younger, lived with her emotionally distant Grandma and when he wasn't in prison, her emotionally abusive father. Across the street lived the Hammers. Their 10 sons became good friends with Winnie and their parents took Winnie in like a daughter they never had. They included her in family dinners, outings, everything she didn't get at home. When she was 18, the boys helped her moved into a run down cottage which they helped her fix up. This then became a series on reality TV, where Winnie and the men would fix up homes. After 10 seasons the show was coming to an end.

The brothers were going back to the family home to see off their parents who were going on a vacation and Jack comes up with an idea if Winnie would be interested in. Her late father's house had come out of probate and she needed to do something with it. Why doesn't she stay with them at their parents home and that would be their las re-do together then she could decide on what she wanted to do with it once it was finished. Winnie is reluctant because of all the bad memories and she's not been back since she left but she agrees to it.

There is another secret that Winnie has kept from the brothers, she has secretly been in love with all of them since she was a kid and those feelings have only gotten deeper with time. But an incident in the kitchen involving the wrong twin brings a 'truth' out to the other brothers. Then the 'fun' begins!!

Can Winnie ever truly be comfortable in her own skin because of the early emotional trauma? Can the brothers prove to Winnie she is who they want and who will she pick? But can Winnie ever pick just one when they all have her heart?

A really enjoyable story, where the men prove to Winnie, she is worth all of their love because of the depth of the love she shows everyone else.

Winifred “Winnie” Wainwright is a 28 years old very successful TV Star with her co-stars 10 might fine Hammer Brothers; Jack the oldest at 33, twins Max/Mason, twins Gavin/Gunner, twins Theo/Leo, triplets Axel/Diesel/Cruz. The show has been a hit for a number of years and now all 11 of them are going to be going their separate ways. But Winnie won’t just let her boys go, they are all very special to her. These brothers have been her protectors and cheerleaders since she met them all as children. She needs to come up with a plan to keep them all in her life and close.

Winnie is a full figured woman who has been through the wringer with the internet trolls and rude criticism. Her whole life she has always been bullied because of her weight all the way back to childhood. She is battles everyday with body issues and low self-esteem because of the bullying. But it got worse when she appeared in a tv show with her hot as hell 10 best friends. With her Hammer brothers and her friend Goldie she navigates through the trauma. This book is her path to a HEA

I was hooked, I am a big fan of Liz Archer books and was so happy to get to read and review this book before it went live. Her books are always so in depth with details of the characters it is like you are “watching” an action/drama/love story all wrapped up a book. Her writing always drags me straight into the story and I get lost. This one was another one of those stories I just got lost in. Also love the follow up Epilogues and bonus epilogues she has and I was not disappointed.

Spicy and detailed Scenes-1 on 1, DP, TP, Group
Emotional and verbal abuse, internet bullying, foster/adoption children, low self esteem.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 – Wildly Fun and Deliciously Over the Top

Ten Hammers delivers a riotously entertaining romp that knows exactly what it is—and teases out every bit of fun from the concept. Large harems are an absolute delight when done with energy and flair, and having ten hunky Hammer brothers vying for our girl Winnie is gloriously outrageous—and yes, supremely spicy. The setup of a reality‑TV‑style final season with childhood best friends turned lovers is deliciously over the top and utterly addictive.

Now, 10 dildos for each of her fellas? Seriously. Ten of them?? I mean... the f? But also... life of the rich, I guess. It’s so extra, it borders on comedic brilliance. If you’re not here to take “serious” too seriously, this book absolutely rewards your sense of wild, horny humor.

A few parts felt a bit tossed in—random plot beats that seemed there just for punch or shock value—but honestly, they don’t derail the fun. The pacing cruises along with action and steam, keeping things light, laughter‑filled, and very spicy

Highlights:

Premise: Ten hunky neighbors, lifelong friends, and a reality‑TV finale? It’s a ridiculous setup—and also chef’s kiss genius.

Spiciness: Off‑the‑charts to a degree. That dildo ensemble? It’s a bold flex of indulgent fantasy.

Tone: Cheeky, playful, unabashedly fantasy‑driven—exactly what beacon of guilty‑pleasure fun you want.

Flaws: Some narrative bits—like why certain scenes even exist—felt loosely thrown in, but they hardly dampen the overall ride.

If you want a “why‑choose” reverse‑harem that doesn’t apologize—and is basically one deliciously absurd fantasy—this one’s a compelling pick. Just leave your seriousness at the door and buckle up for wild fun.

She Didn’t Find 1 Home For Her Heart…She Found 10 ❤️

I LOVED this book sooooo much 😍🙌🏻 Our FMC, Winnie, was so relatable, and I instantly connected with her & became obsessed with seeing her get the HEA she so desperately craved (yet never realistically thought would happen) with the 10 Hammer brothers, our 10 MMCs. The emotions in this story hit each of their targets with me while I was reading, some serious & some hilarious, but all woven together to keep you turning page after page. This was friends-to-lovers at its best, and all because we got that warm & fuzzy feeling 10 times over 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I love that we got at least 1 chapter of POVs from each of the guys, but I can’t help but wish we had been able to hear from all of them a little bit more because they were all pretty dang awesome 🫶🏼 And let me reaffirm the fact that while this book is so funny & lighthearted at times, it’ll also tug at your heartstrings & see how many tears it can possibly wring out of you. I was only expecting a rom-com with maybe a little drama, but I can’t deny that I love that it actually played with my heart, made me cry, then made me swoon during the sexy scenes & clap my hands for all the romance our characters generated together. I can’t wait to get Goldie’s story next…she was the perfect representation of #bestfriendgoals 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 She was a fabulous secondary character who was just screaming that she was ready to be the star of her own story, and I’m so ready to read all about it in the next book 👀🙌🏻❤️

When I found out that this friends-to-lovers was with a group of 10 boys, I first thought about how a girl could balance that many boys. Then I was concerned because they are all brothers. Thankfully, they are ADOPTED brothers. Some of the multiples are related (to each other, obviously), lots of twins and triplets in that 10 group, but it worked out. This is a very angsty story - so if that is not your jam, maybe pass it by.

The FMC has some longstanding verbal abuse from parental figures and it is VERY ingrained in her mental dialogue. This is one of those FMCs that DEFINITELY could have benefited from therapy after that childhood. It seems that either she didn't have the finances or the motivation to do so once she gets a major home reno show with her best friends (the harem).

At the start of the book, the show is ending and she gets news that she now owns her grandmother's house (this isn't good news since it brings up a LOT of painful memories). Good news - the boys talk her into renoing the house. (Maybe they should've just burned it to the ground?

Likes: The FMC by the end of the book; The variety in nicknames for the FMC (this is always one of my fav parts of why choose/OV), the varying personalities of the guys

Dislikes: The idea that love along can heal you from abuse (seriously, therapy!), the boneheaded move that caused the third act (although, to be fair, I didn't see it coming).

Overall, I liked it and I've recommended it to at least one friend, but if the next book is the same just another character, I'll be done with the series.

✨Winnie has been in love with the Hammer Brothers for as long as she can remember. After a bittersweet final shot together on their show, she receives a call about her grandmother's house. She’s faced with a tough decision: demolish it or sell it. Torn between the two options, one of the Hammer Brothers proposes a plan that will allow them to stay in her life a little longer.

The Hammer Brothers—Jack, Leo, Theo, Max, Mason, Axel, Diesel, Cruz, Gunner, and Gavin—have all secretly fallen for Winnie at some point during their long friendship. When the network offers them a new show, they turn it down... but not without a secret twist. Now, Winnie must figure out if she can fall for just one of the Hammer Brothers, or if she’s willing to share her heart with them all.

📚 Tropes: Reverse Harem, Brothers (all adopted), Childhood Friends to Lovers, Plus Size FMC

✨The only thing that kept playing in my head was the Boys 4 Now song, "The Right Number of Boys"—and like my girl Tina, Winnie needed more. As for the plot, it was great to see her character grow as she worked through her childhood trauma.

I do struggle with plus-size FMCs, being a plus-sized individual myself. I have my own body image issues, and sometimes it’s tough to read about a character whose struggles mirror my own. I read to escape, so I usually go into a book blind, not knowing what to expect.

Out of all the Hammer Brothers, Axel is definitely my favorite. A few of the scenes he coordinated were unforgettable.

My Rating:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice:
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️- Thanks to my boy Axel

"Ten Hammers" is a delightful rom-com that strikes a perfect balance between humor and heartwarming moments. The story revolves around Winnie and the Hammers, a group of 10 brothers who have been her childhood friends and co-stars on a TV show. After the show ends, Winnie decides she wants to lose her virginity but finds herself in a dilemma: she can't choose between the brothers, and they all want her too. This sets off a light-hearted competition among the brothers to win her favor.

The book is a solid entry in the rom-com genre, offering a refreshing break from high drama. Winnie's character is incredibly likable, and her journey of self-discovery and self-love is both relatable and endearing. She struggles with self-worth issues, but as the story progresses, she slowly begins to appreciate and love herself, adding a layer of depth to the otherwise lighthearted narrative.

One honest critique is the challenge of keeping track of all 10 brothers. With so many MMCs, it can be a bit confusing at times. However, the basic premise and engaging storytelling make it a recommended read for anyone looking for a fun and wholesome romance.

Overall, "Ten Hammers" is an enjoyable rom-com with a charming cast and a feel-good storyline. If you're in the mood for a simple yet heartwarming story, this book is worth a try.
