***Released as a standalone with two brand new stories for the readers: Brom's Birthday and The Slow Grind. The main story is formerly part of the Tall, Dark and Alpha boxed set***
Raesa was one step from hell until she found redemption in their arms.
Ship thief and notorious escape artist, Raesa Daw was the best in the business until a routine DNA test proves that she's one of the last Earthen purebloods in existence. Desperate to escape sexual slavery and breeding for a royal house, she flees the station on the Crimson Star, landing in the arms of a deadly half-breed, Brom Raine.
One kiss burns away her fear, but opens a world more dangerous than she'd ever known.
Captain Anderson Na'varr of the Mercenary frigate Crimson Star shows no mercy to those who stow away on his vessel. He will take the thief and show her exactly how erotically ruthless he and his Executive Officer, Brom, can be.
Seduced by the dark lust and hidden strength of both men, she vows to do everything in her power to corrupt her DNA before the slavers find her.
Na'varr realizes Raesa holds the key to survival, and losing her to the Republic would destroy the fragile peace he and Brom had found in her arms. Her courage would lead them out of the depths of hell but only their love could keep her alive.
WARNING: SILVER TONGUED DEVILS contains explicit sex. It is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
Author's Note: Silver Tongued Devils was previously released in the Tall, Dark and Alpha Boxed Set. This edition comes with two additional stories in the continuation of their adventures.
USA Today Bestselling Author Dawn Montgomery loves to write almost as much as she loves to read. She has traveled the world twice over. While her days were filled with long hours and hard work, her nights were left for dark, lustful fantasies in and out of strange hotels and cities.
Alaska and Texas are the places she calls home. She recently moved from the frigid North to Texas with her family and neurotic dog. It was tragic to leave behind the moose and bear for wide open plains and sexy cowboys.
Pure escapism with an erotic sci fi scenario. A young woman alone and cruelly kidnapped by slavers has more about her than they expected. She escapes and hides on a pirate ship but not before she's injected with a drug that can drive her and those exposed to her saliva wild with lust ! I do enjoy sci fi romance and if I'm absolutely frank I'm not averse to hot steamy reads. I just thought this threw too much in too quickly and it mentioned love way too soon for my taste. My first from this author but everything made sense so I'd happily try something else by her in the future.
I really enjoyed this one. Was an interesting take on a future world and packed a lot into a shorter book. I like all three main characters and wish it had been longer and we could have really explored the world it was set in.
Hot!!! Holy cow!! Who has the fire extinguisher!? You’re going to need one after you read Dawn Montgomery’s book, I knew this was going to be another scorcher from her! Fast paced from the moment I opened it until I closed it, even with the two short stories added to it! It literally only took me a few hours to read it, and I was sad when it ended. The three main characters have depth, intrigue, and a great interaction with the environment around them. The plot is laden with laughter, sadness, and strife but in the end it works out… mostly. Gotta have SOME left there for her next books, which I cannot WAIT to read! You’ll seriously want to devour this book, from start to finish, and wait anxiously for the others in the series. However if you do not like Ménage books then well you’ll still want to read this!
**I read this book as part of the Tall, Dark and Alpha book bundle.**
Raesa Daw is the best in the business, trained by her father before he was brutally murdered. Now she is set on making those who are responsible for his death pay with their own lives. Unfortunately she is caught as a stowaway on Captain Na’varr’s ship. He shows no mercy to those who stow away on his vessel and vows to show Raesa exactly how ruthless he and his Executive Officer, Brom, can be. I really enjoyed this story. I’m not normally a sci-fi type of reader and to me this one had a little hint of that going on. However, it drew me in from the first page and held my attention. Of course the hot sex didn’t hurt! I would love to read more about what happens next in their story.
This is the first book I've read by this author and definitely not the last. I read this book in one day because I just couldn't put it down. It starts off with a bang and ends with 2 bonus stories. What more can you want.... oh yea, hot men, 1 sexy woman, adventure and hot sex. You have 3 people who form a relationship and while this is happening you learn their stories and that just makes you want more, lots more. When you read this make sure you have plenty of time because you won't want to put it down.
From the minute I read the blurb of this book (not to mention the snippets), I knew I had to read it! I was not dissapointed! It is an awesome story, in an awesome universe and it left me wishing for more! I pledge my undying love for Dawn Montgomery and her writing... I can't wait for more stories from this universe and characters!!
I LOVE this story. I read it in the Tall, Dark, and Alpha boxed set. Something about it just drew me and held me. The minute I was done, I looked up Dawn and had to make contact with her! "When is there going to be more!?!?". Now, this is out on it's own and she's working on more. I'm so excited. I can't wait to read more of the story!
This isn't just one book, but several strung together. You get how the trio meet, then one with Brom and another with Na'varr to see how the relationship progresses as Na'varr struggles to regain his throne. I would have liked a little more plot and on the progress on their struggle, but this was a great read.
I don't really read this particular genre but found I kind of enjoyed it, not sure if I will continue on with the story line or not. I found the little mini stories at the end kind of distracting and maybe would have enjoyed them as a part of the entire story . I t kind of made me feel like was this happening during the story line or are these separate scenes after the story line?
Great, fun read for a short, paranormal, sci-fi novella. It feels like a prequel to a series. I sincerely hope that it is. This took me about 30 minutes to read, but it was a thrill a minute. Great work Mrs. Montgomery!
What a great tale! It had adventure, suspense, romance, hot sex and extras included! I really liked the characters especially Brom. I can't wait to read more of their adventures.
Fun take on the space saga, packed in a lot of action and info in a short period of time and enjoyed the characters/species that were introduced. Oh, and steamy...it's definitely got some steamy...
I love skulduggery so that was a plus. The characters are yummy. The writing wasn't bad. BUT. I was left kinda meh? Part of it was because some of it came across as a nohomo menage type of story, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. I am perfectly fine reading menage stories where not all parties are fucking each other, but nohomo menage is a different thing and fucked up. This also needed some editing, particularly in the bonus stories. I mean one of them had an entire line of dialogue just missing. tl;dr this story would have been good if it hadn't been so damn annoying.
I was really surprised at how much I liked this. I had no idea it was a Sci-Fy Romance story. I am not really a Sci-Fy person but this storyline got me amped. I love the little flirty relationship between Raesa, Bron, and Na'Varr. I wish there would have been more scenes between Raesa and Na'Varr since we seemed to have a lot with Bron. I liked the hidden royals trope and honestly look forward to reading the main book that these stories relate to.
This is a bit different than the books I usually read and it was interesting. I knew it was a novella but I think I would have preferred a full-length novel so that I could understand the world where the story takes place.
I have read my first MFM menage with a man (Captain Anderson Na'varr), a woman (Raesa), and a half-breed (Brom (cat/man)). The three of them continue a polyamorous relationship as they navigate through their adventures. I'm not sure why but while the writing was fine, I did not get into the story. You never know unless you try reading it.
I got this book as part of the Tall, Dark, and Alpha boxed set.
This was a weird one. It was super short and a lot of stuff was crammed into it, so I feel sort of lost even after finishing it. It’s a Star Trekky type of story. Humans and hybrids, space, space ships, planets or docking stations or whatnot. It was all a bit weird and not really my taste. The characters were alright, I suppose, even though I didn’t really feel a connection to any of them. My overall feeling after finishing the story is confusion. Even though it wasn’t my typical cup o’ tea, I am intrigued enough to wish this was a bit longer. I would like a bit more backstory and explanation about what the heck is going on. I’d also like to have a conclusion to the story. What happens to them? It doesn’t necessarily have a cliffhanger, but there’s definitely NOT a satisfactory conclusion…
