Giant coffee table book filled with full color plates about Dior's perfumes. Includes a short bio of Dior and a short section on Grasse, which will be very welcome for fans for Burr's 'The Perfect Scent.' Most of the book is dedicated to short pieces on each major Dior scent's notes, inspiration, history, ad campaigns, and bottle design, a few even including 'related' scents. (The Poison section discusses the original and, for example, the other later scents under the Poison name.) It is a terrific book and well worth a look just for Rene Gruau's illustrations. As you'd suspect, this is A: expensive and B: probably has a limited audience. It's gorgeous, though, and if you have any interest, check it out.

If you are wondering, I got it from the library. Also my favorite Dior scent is 'Eau de Dolce Vita.' (Pear blossoms... lovely.)
